I finally had the chance to try this place since I was in the area, and I'm so glad I did! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the whole process was quick & super smooth. There are so many delicious options to choose from, and I love that the banchan changes regularly so there's always some variety. It honestly feels like such a great value for what you get. Everything I tried was so good! The only thing that wasn't my favorite was the egg. I just felt like it could've used a little more flavor. Other than that, I really enjoyed everything. I ordered it to go, and I have to say I loved the packaging too. Everything stayed neatly separated in its own compartment, which made it travel really well. I'll definitely be coming back. Such a great experience!

When you talk about fresh home cooking, Chilban definitely takes it home. The portions and variety was great to have. The service was fast and everything was clean. I call this place a win.

Long story short: I will definitely be back. Chilban offers a home styled fast food option with rotating banchans each week! Upon arriving, we were quickly welcomed and helped with- I chose the spicy squid and pork as my protein, which were super generous in serving size. I love how you opt for purple rice (much superior) and they give you their soup of the day! Normally at other restaurants, there is maybe one banchan that doesnt quite hit, but at Chilban- all the banchans we tried were so good! Its almost as if they are taste testing each batch for perfection! We also got the kimbap to try, which does take a little longer to come out- but it is also packed well and flavorful. Im excited to live by this place as their packaging seems great for a togo meal!

The hype is real, popular spot in a cute plaza. It's great to have your choice in side dishes and protein. Staff if friendly and service is quick, everything is premade! Plenty of parking and could probably accommodate a large group (6+) if it's not packed.

Lots of food for just $16. Drink is Yuzu lemonade, very refreshing

Fast food, you said....nah, more like quality korean food made convenient and affordable. Bento box style where you get to choose your choice of base, protein, and a wide selection of banchans. Their spicy pork and kimchi are super tasty, and of course you can never go wrong with japchae and seasoned fish cakes. The bento comes with a mini soup and they even offer free dry seaweed with your meal; they pack the box with generous servings so I was quite full after the meal. Definitely worth coming back! Restaurant is small but you always have option of takeous, staffs are super friendly, and parking lot is spacious. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Parking: 5/5

Korean fast food with a healthy twist -- think Chipotle meets Korean banchan! You get to build your own meal by choosing your protein and a variety of delicious side dishes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and customizable to your liking. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was spotless. I also loved the clean, minimalist décor, which created a modern and comfortable atmosphere. If you're looking for a quick meal that doesn't sacrifice flavor or quality, this spot is definitely worth checking out!

Asian version of chipotle? Count me in! Heard lots of good stuff about this place and I see why! Staff were super friendly and helpful on my indecisiveness! I believe their selection varies per day depending on what ingredients they have so every time might be different You pick your base: rice or salad or half and half You then pick 2 proteins: I got their bulgogi and spicy pork I think Then 5 banchans! So many to pick from and they were all so delicious Comes with sauce on th side we got their kimchi mayo and sweet chili gochojang sauce Everything is so flavorful! Honestly don't need the sauce but good to have. It also comes with a packet of seaweed! Perfect to wrap your rice and protein. It was a lot of food! Brought the rest home to eat for lunch the next day! Pretty worth it for $16 for basically 2 meals! Definitely will come back if I'm in the area again

So happy to find a home-cooked Korean place serving yummy food, fast! Staff is very friendly, and the menu options are simple. For each Chilban, you pick 1 or 2 bases (white rice, purple rice, salad), 1 or 2 proteins and 5 Banchan side dishes. You can upgrade your Chilban to grilled salmon for an additional $2.50. There's a lot of food packed into each $15.99 meal box! Even though the little squares seem small, they don't skimp on portion. The only thing I didn't finish was the soup, it was slightly bland. Definitely a good place to grab a meal box to go and they even have seats for dine-in options.

I saw so many social media videos of this new Korean spot in Fullerton. This Korean style Bento box experience. We got 3 build your plate ($15.99). It comes with seaweed soup. Seasoned seaweed package comes with each plate. First, we chose a base: white rice , purple rice or salad. You can get 2 as a half portion. Second, choose a protein or 2 half of the proteins. Salmon was extra and comes with the sweet sauce. Third, choose any 5 Banchan. Fourth, we get a free sauce. We ordered extra: spicy Tteobokki (Rice Cake) and Tuna Kimbap. We did not order any drinks. Overall, it was a great experience and we enjoyed our delicious meals. Service was great. Ambiance is nice.

The service is slow but friendly and helpful. The food definitely is filling even if it doesn't look like a lot. The banchan is fresh, but I think it can taste like it's been sitting out all morning. The chive jeon i got with my plate was cold, and I wish it wasn't. I know it's because of the chiller to keep all the other sides fresh! The odeng/fishcake tastes a little fishier than I prefer, but I enjoyed it. Their kimchi is really fresh, and has great flavor, including their cucumber kimchi. I like their bulgogi more than the spicy pork. All plates come with a soup and a side of seaweed. The tteokbokki is a little spicy and sweet, but tastes amazing. I didn't order the kimbap because it looks a little old, maybe made early in the morning, or it looks dry. The space has limited seating, but there's a clean restroom, self serve water, and light music in the background. I would come here again if I was in the area!

Finally tried it !!! Attempted first time on a Sunday, but they are closed on Sundays. Came back again on a Tuesday night; no line and quick service. Think Chipotle of Korean food. Generous portions, lots of selections and great customer service.

Such a cute Korean bento store! There is such a good variety to choose from and they are all so delicious! I liked the spicy pork the most out of all the meat options; very flavorful & tender! The amount of food you get for the price is really good as well. The staff is so kind too! Highly recommend!

Love the concept! Beautiful packaging and lots of Ban Chan! I really wanted to love this place cuz then I'd go all the time for the convenience and great food. Unfortunately, the food itself was meh! The rolled egg and soybeans were good but the soy glazed chicken and spicy chicken balls were hard. Heating them up the next day, they became unflavorable. I also didn't like the Japchae and I felt the kimchi was old. Maybe it was just not my day to try it, so I'll go and try it again. Otherwise, if they can just tweak the food a bit, they'll do great!

There is a small lot out front for parking, and I suspect you can park on the street when the lot fills up. We happened to come by during the Korea vs. Mexico game, and understandably, the place gets packed, with a line forming outside. We somehow beat the rush by about 30 minutes and were seated at a table as soon as we entered. We also realized then that they didn't have the all-you-can-eat option, so we ended up ordering the chicken wings, their version of loaded fries, and steamed rice. We also placed the order via the QR code. We had our drinks delivered to our table shortly afterward. The food, however, was taking a long time to get to our table. It may have been a combination of the FIFA World Cup and a staff shortage, but when we were there, there was only 1 kitchen staff member and 1 wait staff member. The lady on the wait staff did everything from serving food to accepting new customers and topping off water for all the tables. A wall separates the restaurant; there is a front room and an inside room, and both rooms had televisions broadcasting the game. The food itself was decent for the price that they charge. The chicken wings came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. They have some options for different wing flavors. The fries were also delicious and well-fried. I hope the restaurant invests in more wait staff because there were times we needed something from the wait staff. Seeing how busy she was, or sometimes she's just in the front room, we haven't seen her in a while to get whatever we needed. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere is very unique; it's definitely a nice place to get some Korean street food when you're in the area. The only things to note are that parking is limited, food will take a while to cook as it is made fresh, and there will be some waiting to be done if you need wait staff. Last thing to note: I love that they had some Korean Fusion dishes, and I wish I had a bigger stomach to try these as well during our visit, perhaps another time!
