TL;DR- good food, portions good to share, tiny indoor restaurant, service is lacking if you're not korean Both times I've tried this spot I was eating by myself. A year or two ago I got take out for the spicy cold noodle and galbi combo, and recently i had the same order but for dine in. The noodles definitely taste best when you eat there bc after a 30 min drive home it got soggy (as expected but i had an intense craving for cold noodles that day) Nothing wow'd me that day but i thought it may have just been bc i ordered take out so while I was in the area and craving cold noodles again, I decided to give it another try. There's a whiteboard to put your name down when there's a wait, but it didn't seem like they were keeping track of ppl that way anyway. Inside the restaurant it's very cozy with maybe 8-10 tables max. I got seated in the very back of the restaurant near the closet door that houses the restroom, so it was kind of bothersome to hear the door keep clanking open and closed and people walking by to use it. I am super hesitant to try out korean places w/o being w a korean bc i noticed that the treatment isn't as friendly. Everyone else around me had at least one korean speaking person w them. I came before a different party of 2 but when looking to seat the next person idk if she saw me or not or hadnt realized i came before them. They got sat right in front of the cash register area. After I sat down i felt neglected and i noticed the other party who came after me had their order taken first which isn't a huge deal but it did make me feel a bit more neglected hahaha After taking my order the food did come out extremely fast. The noodles came out first with the banchan, there were 6 different ones: cabbage kimchi, pickled radish slices, radish kimchi, savory jelly , kabocha squash w/ a creamy white onion ish dressing, , fish cake. the lady brought out tongs and scissors and helped cut the noodles a bit for me and instructed me to mix it. There was also a small bowl of cold broth that tasted so refreshing on a hot day. In the cold noodles there were more slices of pickled radish, pickled cucumber slices, julienned cucumber, half an egg, some beef, and spicy sauce and some nutty powder :) i loved the strong sesame oil flavor and the noodles went rly well with some of the cold broth mixed in With the combo portion there were 5 pcs of galbi atop a bed of sliced onions on a sizzling plate. I knew i wanted to take food home so I felt like i shouldve known to ask for the check and a box prior to being ready to leave bc once it came time for me to ask for the bill, the feeling of neglect came over me again! LOL Many other patrons were leaving and so they were working on bussing tables. I am in the back so i tried to flag someone down to get the check. a different lady saw me and told the original server , i thought i heard her acknowledge me. Then she gave the check and paid out another party, and the party of 2 after me also left before i could pay out. Then i finally got my turn to pay out my tab! all in all the lady was nice when i did interact with her but it was difficult to ask for anything if i did need to. bill came out to $41 after tax and tip for a galbi bibim naengmyun combo. i'm interested in the other menu items but i probs would not come again unless i have a korean w me! the whole experience took me abt 1 hr, at 12;30 pm on a thursday 20 mins waiting, 5 mins to order, then paid, packed my food, and left at the end of the hour~ although i saw other customers getting to finish a lot sooner who came after me maybe 45 minutes :) read more

Had an absolutely delicious meal here. We ordered the tteokbokki, bulgogi, steamed dumplings, and bibimbap. I definitely underestimated the portion sizes! It was a super filling meal. Korean food is like my comfort food! My favorite was the tteokbokki! The dumplings were SO large, I would hardly consider it an appetizer. They are super filling, so definitely a shareable plate. The bulgogi was so thinly sliced and flavorful. The service was great and the woman who was helping us was very attentive and made sure I stirred my cold noodles enough haha! The cold noodles, that were complimentary! I was grateful to have tried the cold noodles because it was new to me and I highly enjoyed it! The food here was so good. I liked everything that I was eating (see photos). They also gave you a thermos with bone broth, which was so great. My friends and I came here because the reviews from other yelpers had been great. The portions were good and price also wasn't too bad for four adults and two kids. The gripe we have was the Service. Which is why I took off a star and a half. My husband is Korean so he was conversing with the waitress in Korean the whole time. And he told us that every time she came by there was some sassiness or attitude. And he felt like he couldn't eat the food and enjoy it the way he wanted to even though it's Korean food and he's Korean. And at the end, she apparently rushed us out because another big party was coming in while we hadn't exactly finished eating yet, so we took some of the food to go and left some food uneaten on the table. I was in ignorance bliss because I didn't understand what they were saying but he usually doesn't get annoyed by these types of interactions but just be aware! It's a small place maybe eight tables. The bathroom is way in the back and it's not air condition but clean. I think I would still come back though because the food was really good to me and I really liked that bone broth and the spread of the side dishes. Maybe next time we just won't come on a weekend or peak hours or something. We did get seated really quickly probably bc we came right around opening time which was 11 AM on a Saturday, and it was also a holiday weekend. read more

BE AWARE OF EXPERIENCING DISCRIMINATION! I've been to the Irvine location and loved it. Food still tastes good. However, the service can be better. I went here by myself today for lunch and mind that I don't speak Korean. I felt that I was DISCRIMINATED. Every table gets 5+ variety of dishes and I got 4 in tiny personal side dish tray (see picture). I had to request for water and soup while all other table got them served. I was wondering if the personal side dishes is a common practice. Then, an older Korean guy came in by himself and got served soup and 5 regular side dishes instantly. At this point, I still have half of the bowl left and check got placed on my table without a word... The place wasn't even full. Not interested in coming back... it's 2026 do better. read more

This place is seriously a hidden gem, the kind of small, hole in the wall spot you almost don't expect to be this good. It felt family owned, super cozy, and the service was genuinely amazing from start to finish. We definitely over ordered (everything sounded too good ), but honestly... no regrets. Portions are huge and perfect for sharing, especially the soups...they were rich, flavorful, and came loaded with so many ingredients. Every dish had depth and tasted authentic, not watered down at all. They also brought out a few extra dishes for us to try, which was such a nice touch and made the experience feel really welcoming. The banchan (side dishes) kept coming and were all fresh and flavorful you can tell they put care into every part of the meal. And the fried rice? Easily one of the best I've had. My absolute favorite was the noodles with the black sauce (I think it's jajangmyeon?) savory, slightly sweet, and so satisfying. Overall, amazing food, generous portions, and standout service. Food was very authentic and tasty. This is a small restaurant. Banchan was also good quality. My only issue is the service. We sat down and the lady was already asking if we're ready to order. We have never been here before give us a minute to decide. I previewed the menu on yelp before i got there but my friend and i were working on agreeing which items to get. She came back and we were going to order four dishes to share. I was telling her our order and after the second dish she took the menus from our hands and said ok thats it. I said no we want to order more and she said too much. I understand shes trying to warn us about big portions but we really want to order what we want and not be told what and how we should order when i didn't ask. I gave her my third item and she cut us off again from wanting to order more! Food came quickly. She was great at picking up around us and things on the table. We felt rushed bc she came and started boxing our leftovers. She has this fake nice and rude attitude. Goodness gracious. Really ruined my mood. I tried to block off seeing her watch us like a hawk in my peripheral so i could enjoy my food and conversation with my friend. Wont go to this location again. We didn't know what we walked into and it turned out to be great! Before being seated we were offered hot bone broth by the hostess brought in a thermos. It was delicious and a good touch to a chilly night. This place would be something special in a very good way after drinking the broth. We ordered the black bean noodles, tteokbokii, bulgogi, hot stone bowl bibimbap, and mung pancakes. The food was all delicious and made us realize the Korean food in Hawaii needs to level up. Flavors were different and changed our mind about certain dishes we thought we knew. The hostess was very attentive and taught us how to eat some of the foods. She even mixed the stone bowl bibimbap for us. She was very friendly and that service makes a home style feeling restaurant feel warmer. It's my first time dining here and I know I'll be returning for sure! Personally, I had a really good experience with the front of house staff. Our server was especially friendly and kind, so I'm really shocked by the reviews of negative customer service. Our server setup our banchan, cut our cold noodles and garaetteok, and even served our hot broth after we finished the cold noodles. I'm so happy with the delicious the meal and excellent service! 100/5 - Chic naengmyeon, loved that their menu had multiple combo options with their cold noodles. Exceptionally good broth, I liked that it was super tangy and an icy broth. The pickled cucumbers in addition to the fresh cucumbers were a great touch for that refreshing, tangy flavor. 4/5 - Bindaetteok, I love a good mung bean pancake. This one is very crispy on the edges especially. I wish it were a more consistent fry, but delicious regardless! 5/5 - Donkatsu, a Korean style katsu. I love the tangy sauce and cabbage salad that comes on the side. It's a HUGE portion of pork which means it's great to eat and for leftovers! 5/5 - Tteokbokki, this sauce is on the spicy side and not so sweet. Authentic Korean food experience, definitely the best korean cold noodles to find across most of SolCal. The cold worth has a lot of flavors going on so every bite feels refreshing and exciting. They also serve hot bone broth in a big tank, complements the cold noodles very nicely. Simple interior but nothing too flashy to be overbearing. Lot of tables to move around in case you have a large party. Really hits the spot when craving something tasty and cold. If you're feeling tight on cash, I suggest splitting a bowl for two since it is quite a bit to go through. read more

My friends and I decided on Korean and visited Yoo's Place on a weekend afternoon. We were sat immediately, and were able to order within a few minutes. We were offered side dishes, which were all spectacular, but my favorite was their acorn jelly. It's served warm, and the sauce is divine. We opted for three dishes for four, and we were glad we did because the portions were quite large! Just fyi, if you order the cold noodles, they don't allow you to pack any leftovers to go because of food poisoning (as we were told by the server). So, eat strategically, and finish that first. I AM ADDICTED TO THIS PLACE. With this recent heat wave going on, I've been craving cold noodles so badly. I decided to give this place a try after seeing the positive reviews on Yelp. If you go around dinner time, you may need to circle the parking lot a few times to find parking. But overall, it's not too bad. I've only gone for dinner, but 2/3 times I went, there was a 5-10 minute wait. NOT BAD AT ALL!!! Upon entering, the workers greet you and it's mostly older Korean ajummas/ ahjussis/ korean families dining. That's how you know this place is legit. There are about 7/8 tables from what I remember, and they're able to accommodate for moderately large parties of 7-8. You'd probably have to wait a little bit for the tables to be set up though. The side dishes are standard, but so good. I love the acorn jelly(?) dish they offer. Another highlight is the free broth they offer on the side. As someone who grew up eating naengmyeon, it's always such a pleasant surprise to find a spot that offers free bone (육수) broth as a service. It's so comforting, savory, and rich in flavor. I'm drooling as I write this lol. Anyways, to the main dish....I always get the chic mul naengmyeon. This place has their recipe DOWN to perfection. The broth is always full of soft chunks of ice, the spice isn't overwhelming - it perfectly adds to the flavor, and the noodles, cucumbers, and radish in the soup compliment each other so amazingly. The only thing I say they can improve is the slice of meat that comes in the soup. They only put 1, which is the only complaint I have, but even then, the soup is so delicious that I'm probably not consciously thinking of that as I devour it. My friends have gotten the naengmyeon combo as well, the only thing I can comment on about this is that they charge $4 for a bowl of rice if you order the combo and ask for rice. First time trying Yoo's Place ! My friend and I visited around 6:30pm and were seated right away. The restaurant is small and cozy, only 2 ladies were working in the front during this time so if it's more crowded do expect a little wait as they are helping each table. The restaurant started to fill up around 7-7:30pm. This spot is best for small groups of 2-4people. We shared the 1. Chic Mul Naengmyun (which is a cold broth buckwheat noodle soup) perfect for the summer weather and a light meal. The soup was slushy texture and topped with thin and round cucumber slices, half a boiled egg, 1? Slice of beef, sesame seeds, red pepper sauce (not that spicy), and lots of daikon radish. Buckwheat noodles are thin and very chewy, the waitress was kind to offer to cut the noodles for us. Side dishes were complementary and included: jalapeño radish, cubed radish kimchi, cubed jelly (unsure what kind) in a sesame soy sauce, kabocha squash in white sauce (my favorite one!), and fish cakes. All tasted very good. After tax our total for this meal was around $20 Would definitely recommend this dish! If you are more hungry and plan to share, I recommend trying one of their combos with the soup. I will have to come back again to try more of their menu! read more

So addicted to this place...the consistency is insane. I love practically all their sides and every dish here is pretty solid. Decided to try jampong for the first time and look at this thang! Kitchen sink sized! Had veggies, seafood, noods, just a lot ya'll! I was shooketh at the amount. But it was pleasant to eat. OP for me though will always be their cold noodles, that broth is addictive!!!! Best broth concoction. I will say the sides and that broth are on the sweet side which may be why it tastes so good, haha. Julie is my girl! She works mainly the night shift and she's pretty sweet. There can be a slight language barrier so please just be patient. It's always popping in here from opening till most likely close. I wish they would expand b/c people love the food! But I'm sure getting order out would be tough at high volume. Don't miss out on the dumplings, I see they make it fresh daily. On Tuesday night me and my girlfriend came in to eat and try the place for the first time as we had always seen it driving by. We ordered the gal bi and soft tofu combo as well as the cold noodle and it didn't disappoint. Yoo's Place is located in a plaza full of other restaurants and shops. They are always busy during meal times because of their outstanding food, free hot bone broth, and amazing service! I usually order the naengmyun or another cold noodle dish, but today was chilly and a bit rainy so I opted for the ugegi galbi tang. The portion was good and the meat was tender. What was nice was that the meat had already fallen off the bone so you didn't have to scrape it off or anything. Will be back to review everything else :) read more

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. I had to pickup two orders for Uber Eats. The woman assisting me sat the two orders down and tried to tell me which order belonged to which name for my pickup and left. I couldn't understand her because she mumbled the names and when she returned I politely asked her which order was which again because they don't write the names on the bags or place receipts. She yelled at me in an extremely condescending way and yelled both names at me. After grabbing each order and placing them in my car she came back out with something she forgot to put in one of the orders at my car.
