I came here on a Sunday right at 5 when it opened. It was easy to get a table for 6. We got the grilled pork belly, army stew, garlic fried chicken, and seafood pancake. The grilled pork belly was really good, and we even placed a second order! The rest of the food was good enough, as expected for Korean bar/drinking food. Service was okay. They had forgotten to give us the soju we ordered, so we had to ask for it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the casual vibes. It's a good spot to go to for casual Korean food and drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And you don't need to tip at this place! Although there is a 10% service fee or something like that.
I've been here a few times but recently had dinner here with my coworkers. It hits every time and is a perfect place to drink, yap, and grub! [[HIGHLIGHT]]it can get really crowded so definitely try and get here earlier if you can: There's always plenty of things to do though since it's at The Source and there's so many shops and photobooths while you wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is pretty huge but it gets super loud![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The screens are always playing kpop groups with music playing and its always fun to watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For food, I've tried a lot of their menu and everything is so good and shareable. The korean fried chicken is crispy, not dry, and seasoned so well! A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce. Another favorite of the group was the corn cheese. It was like a pizza but corn cheese. My absolute tried and true is the pork belly. It is soo good, especially with the kimchi, peppers, and roasted garlic cloves. It definitely is my personal favorite on their menu! I can definitely see why this place is so popular!
We came here on a Wednesday night and it was still surprisingly popping! I was craving something soupy and my boyfriend wanted fried chicken. I ordered the gopchang hot pot and my boyfriend got fried chicken. The portion sizes are generous and we struggled to finish everything, but everything was very delicious! The gopchang was cleaned very well; I've never had it in soup and usually prefer it grilled and crispy. I was very pleasantly surprised by it and really enjoyed the dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is a vibe and when it got later in the night, they dimmed the lights and started playing DPR Ian and Big Bang on the TV.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was unfort a little slow and it took a while to get our food.

Dishes were flavorful and hits the spot. The only issue I had was the service. We had a big party and our table was quite small for the amount of food we ordered. We tried to clear some space by moving the water and empty plates to an unoccupied table next to us. Our server was quite rude about it and told us to move everything back.
Quick, efficient, clean, yummy. Honestly couldn't have asked for more in a pub. Came on a Friday close to 11:30 PM and was sure there would be a wait for a party of 4, but nope! Thought we had lucked out but honestly, everyone working here is super efficient and vigilant. Ordered the stir fried pork belly, corn cheese pancake, and rose tteokbokki. Corn pancake was HUGE like a large pizza. Very thin but super gooey, actually couldn't get a grip on it with the tongs because it was falling apart. Ended up having a corn cheese pancake salad but it was still great. Rose tteokbokki was pretty weak in terms of flavor, friends that I came with agreed that the flavoring wasn't as strong as it usually was, and they're regulars here! Pork belly dish deserves its own paragraph. I mean... holy. The perfect mix of salt on the juicy, fatty (and generous!) pork belly slices, the slightly sweet and sour kimchi, and soft, roasted garlic. If you're getting one thing on the menu, let it be this! Had a muscat iced drink to share for the table, we subbed out maekgeolli for milk for a nonalcoholic option. They also offered yogurt as a substitute! Very strong on the muscat flavor and so refreshing. Overall, we were in and out in about 30 minutes. I didn't even see them pick up or give back the credit card, that's how fast they move. Will be back!

The service is okay, and very fast. We got the pork belly with kimchi and the rose tekboki. Both were fantastic. The flavor was there and was delicious. We will come back here again soon

Overall, the food is really good, especially if you're looking for something to pair with drinks. The stir-fried pork belly definitely stood out super flavorful and easily one of the best dishes we had. Pricing is on the higher side, but it feels reasonable for what you get. One downside is that when I went, a lot of beverage options weren't available, so just keep that in mind if you're going specifically for drinks. The ambience is very loud and dark, with projector screens inside, giving it more of a nightlife vibe than a casual dining spot. Service is decent you'll usually need to raise your hand or call out to get the staff's attention, especially when it's busy. Overall, a solid spot for food and drinks with friends, just be ready for the loud atmosphere and slightly higher prices.
A classic spot to munch and catch up with friends! It can get crowded here so be prepared to wait since you have to go in person to put your name down, but the line moves pretty fast. I came with 3 other girls and halfway through our order, the server told us it might be too much..but we finished it lol. I love the spicy pork belly and kimchi dish here, especially with the garlic! The fries are always a classic appetizer and are crispy. The fried beef intestines were really good too; just be careful not to stuff it in your mouth asap and burn yourself like me! The cold noodles with raw beef was SOOO good and refreshing. It was nice to have it with all the other hot items. I really liked the noodles texture and all the beef and veggies paired perfectly together. The raw shrimp and salmon was also so delicious! The raw shrimp was a pleasant surprise and it tasted very fresh and good.
Fun place to go out with friends if you wanna chill, eat, and maybe drink a little bit. I think it's slightly on the more expensive side for food like this but I haven't been to too many Korean pubs around OC so I could be off. On weekends, the wait definitely can get pretty long so I would plan ahead for that Misoolkwan tteokbokki: 3/5 just a disclaimer I don't usually love tteokbokki in general. A lot of my friends liked this but I didn't love how strong the black pepper flavor was Stir fried pork belly: 5/5 I liked this a lot, especially because of the kimchi and garlic that came on the side We also got the cheese corn pancake which I liked a lot
Chris, the supervisor, is always rude to my table. He seems like he hates his job, idk why still work if his mindset doesn't want to work. I came here with the same group a couple months ago and was able to order alcohol, even though one of us was not of age yet. Service wasn't the greatest when the iPad was around to take orders. My group brought her younger brother this time, but won't let anyone else from the table order any beer or drinks even though the rest of us above 21+. This time there's no iPad, so that's good improvement. Which one is it? Make a decision. The wishy-washy mindset doesn't benefit anyone.
Came here for a friend's bday. I don't drink so I just got the spicy cold noodles($32). It was good. Note: It's a pub so everything is overpriced so if you're broke, go elsewhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pretty lively and has a nice environment if you want to just chill and drink with your friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was pretty good as well even though they were busy on a Saturday night.

They offer valet parking at the entrance, along with additional parking around the corner. Since this place gets very busy, I'd recommend arriving early to avoid a long wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great spot for large groups and celebrations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is designed for family-style dining, so you can order several dishes to share with everyone at the table, or you can order an individual entrée if that's more your style. Despite the packed dining room, the service was quick and attentive. Our food came out surprisingly fast, and the staff kept everything running smoothly throughout our meal. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Don't drink their water here...the tea water... leftover tea water gets poured into the trash can and rescooped into previously used pitchers.. basically they would pour the leftover water in the same bucket of water and rinse the pitcher in the same bucket of water and stack them up for resuse for next customer. And their hands go inside everything. They grab the rinsed pitcher, scoop the tea water and serve it. Also mind you, the tea water is inside those huge trash cans. AND when they were transferring the ice (from again those trash bins) they would lift it to pour all the ice in to the tea water bin and you can see all the dirty drippings from the outside wheels drip inside the container.. @.@ No its not a one time thing with one employee...they all knew the drill and did it like routine. Me and my friends watched the whole thing while we were just trying to enjoy some drinks at the bar. It was so disgusting, my friends wanted to pay and leave quickly but NO theres no way im paying for the drink i only had a couple sips of and couldn't finish. So i told the manager, didnt pay and left. He was not shocked ... wonder why. And now im just telling all my close friends not to go here... digusting. read more

Came here on a Saturday night around 5:30pm and was seated immediately for a party of two. The barley water they serve is on the sweet side, so I didn't really enjoy that, but the food was great. They tell you to flag down servers for anyone you want, meaning that no one will come to check in on you, which is fine but it can definitely get a bit hectic. We didn't wait for a long time at any point, however. The food is a bit pricey, but the portions are large. The most generous is the kimchi seafood pancake which was the size of a medium pizza. Split amongst 2 people, this was more than enough food, and it was really good! I do wish the rose ttebboki had more rice cake in it. I would like to check out other pochas in the area, especially since this one is a bit hard to get to being in a shopping mall, but solid food and experience. read more

Vibes immaculate. Interior is just beautiful. And me? I felt like I teleported to Asia. I love restaurants that care about decor and I love it even more when it feels like I'm in Asia and not gooood ol' Amuuurica. I'm not a SoCal girlie so I was sweating like a rotisserie chicken here. Luckily, you can ask the waiter to turn the AC up and they'll actually do it? When my friend said he'll ask for me, I laughed and got embarrassed but then he actually got the job done so jokes on me I guess. We came only for a few drinks and a snack so we only ordered the Cheesy Corn Pancake and the Seafood Kimchi Pancake. Why didn't anyone tell me how biggggg these pancakes were?? I'm thankful we didn't order more because they were legit the size of a pizza. Both were good dishes but the Cheesy Corn Pancake felt like cheese with a side of corn. Bring your lactaid with this dish. Both dishes were a great size for $20 and this place was great to grab some soju with your friends. read more
We came to Misoolkwan OC and overall had a really good experience. The place has a fun, lively vibe, more like a Korean pub style, so it's great for hanging out and sharing food. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Our server (a girl, I didn't catch her name, but the receipt said Donnie) was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Every dish we ordered was big enough to share, which made it perfect for a group. The fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned, and the sizzling pork belly dish was really flavorful. My favorite was the oden with udon noodles, which was warm and comforting. Everything came out fresh and at a good pace. It does get a bit busy and loud, but that's part of the atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're looking for good Korean comfort food with generous portions and a fun, casual vibe. Definitely a great spot for groups. read more
Came here after a concert and I'm really glad we did because Misoolkwan is such a great late night spot. I love that they stay open late since it's not always easy to find good food after events. We ordered the Stir-Fried Pork Belly & Kimchi ($28) and the Stir-Fried Beef Brisket and Mung Bean Sprouts with Udon ($31+ with the udon added). The pork belly was honestly amazing. It was super tender and practically melted in your mouth, and the kimchi added the perfect balance of savory and slightly tangy flavor. The portion size was also really generous. The three of us shared it and it was still plenty of food. The beef brisket and mung bean sprouts dish was another standout. Adding udon to it was such a good idea because the noodles soaked up all the flavorful sauce. The brisket was tender, the mung bean sprouts added a really nice crunch, and together it made the dish feel really balanced and satisfying. Every bite had a lot of flavor and the noodles made it even more filling. The server was really sweet and helpful, which made the experience even better. The place itself has a very lively pub atmosphere. The music is definitely loud, but it makes sense since it is a pub and the energy matches the environment. People were talking, laughing, and enjoying their night, which made the whole place feel fun and energetic. It's also pretty spacious, but still packed with people which says a lot about how good the food is. Overall, it's a great late night spot with delicious food and a lively atmosphere, and I would definitely come back again. read more

This is your classic Korean gastropub located on the 3rd floor at The Source! The outside was a little confusing, because they share a "building" with a different KBBQ place. We came around 6:30 on a Thursday and didn't have to wait at all. Service was fast and friendly. There were 6 of us, and we ordered a bunch of things to share for the table. My favorites were definitely the Spicy Gopchang stew and the Garlic Fried Chicken Wings. The other things we got, like the Seafood Pancake and Rose Tteokbokki, were just fine to me. Their barley tea water was peak tho! A great place for a group if you're in the area for some casual pub-by korean food! read more

Had an amazing night at Misoolkwan OC! Located inside The Source, this spot brings such a fun and authentic Korean pub vibe that instantly makes you feel like you're stepping into a retro pocha in Korea. One of my favorite dishes was the soy-marinated salmon. The salmon was incredibly fresh, buttery, and packed with flavor. Paired with rice and seaweed, it was easily one of the highlights of the meal. We also ordered the pork dishes and tteokbokki, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were bold, comforting, and perfect for sharing with friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is what makes this place even more special. The retro Korean décor, neon lights, and lively energy create the perfect late-night hangout spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Whether you're grabbing dinner, drinks, or just catching up with friends, the ambiance is fun, cozy, and full of personality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was friendly and attentive throughout the night, and the food came out quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening at around 630p. Took a little bit to find where the restaurant was but thanks to yelp pictures, at least i knew it was on the "top/3rd floor". It was kind of "hidden" in a corner. Restaurant was full and lots of people waiting outside. When I had put my name on the list, the hostess asked if we'd be ok with sitting outside. With the weather being decent, we just opted for whatever be fastest and agreed to outside seating. After waiting for maybe 20min, we were seated inside and was was seemingly a randomly made table on the side. Decor was quite unique. Old style Korean design with like a pocha-like layout seating. What's unique about this restaurant is there seems to be no "designated" server for a certain area, so you just can flag anyone down. Also, on the menu, it states "A 10% fee will be added to your bill. This is not a gratuity or tip. We are a no-tipping restaurant. The fee is revenue that is not segmented or designated in any way. it is taxed according to state law and is used to fund maintain all operations. PLEASE, NO TIPPING." Kind of weird but sure. Upon seating, a waiter brought 3 small pitcher's of barley tea/water and utensils/plating. Then we flagged someone to order food MISOOLKWAN TTEOK-BOKKI - Served in a metal container/bowl. Decent amount of fish cake, a few whole eggs, a few fried mandu. Sauce is a little thin but flavor was good. There is also ramyeon in this as well. ODEN UDON TANG (was supposed to be for the kiddo but no one noticed the smol chili next to the item that showed it being 'spicy' oops?) - Served on a butane stove to keep hot. LOTS of fish cake/oden. Mildly spicy because i think they put gochujang in the soup/broth. Wished there was more udon BONE-IN FRIED CHICKEN - Whole fried chicken cut into pieces served with pickled radish. Good portion and flavor DEEP FRIED BEEF INTESTINE - This was surprisingly the BEST item we had gotten. Never had "deep fried intestine" in a korean place before so this was a "gamble" but definitely won. I think its small beef intestine (gopchang), cut into pieces like popcorn chicken and fried. Served with slices of fresh jalapeno on top, with a side of pickled onion/chili sauce like youd get for dipping with like... seolleongtang and another creamy/mildly spicy sauce (that we all used) Unfortunately, they dont have Cass on draft/tap so i ordered a bottle of Cass instead, since it was only 2 of us drinking anyway. Matched so well with the deep fried beef intestine and bone-in fried chicken !! Ambiance is quite noisy already from just background music and people chatting but at around 8p, they dim the lights and start blasting music and playing music videos. Luckily it was near the end of our meal so we had left shortly after that started. I'd come back for that DEEP FRIED BEEF INTESTINE again ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the interior of this place, makes me feel like I am in Seoul.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed the food, first time. We definitely will return to try the rest. What I appreciate a lot, and hope other restaurants follow suit, is their no tipping culture. The receipt has no space to add any tip! Instead, a fixed 10% fee is added to all. Very fair. In a world where card terminals now have 20% thru 35% or more tip options, this is very much appreciated and makes dining out inviting again. read more
Busy pocha spot with a variety of yummy pocha foods. I've been here a few times and it can get busy on a weekend so be prepared to wait! Some of my faves are the fried beef intestines, korean fried chicken, and the pork belly. I love intestines and enjoy that this spot does it fried! The sauces that it is served with really compliments the intestines! The pork belly combo is always a hit! The roasted garlic is super yummy and cooked super well! I lowkey wish they served it with some lettuce haha We got the seafood pancake this time and it was disappointing. The pancake is pretty big which made the middle super soggy, wished it was crispier! I have also tried the corn cheese one before which was super yummy! There is a tablet on the table that you can order from, which makes it easier than flagging down an employee when it's busy! One of my favorite late night eats! Been a few times and I've loved everything I have gotten! Weird to say but the barley tea might be one of my favorites! The item that I always have go get is their rose tteboki. Its very creamy with a small hint of spice. Service varies kinda depending on how busy they are but it is generally pretty good. Managed to do a walk in and immediately got seated here for a party of 4 on a Monday night before the dinner rush. All the other times that I've been here, there were always large groups waiting outside. So this was a great moment! Especially since we had friends from out of state who wanted to try something unique. It's definitely a place to drink and snack on some food, with lots of large TV screens playing Kpop music videos and speakers blaring the catchy hits. Ordering happens through the tablets at each table, but you have to flag down a server to order any alcohol. Restrooms were fairly clean when we went. I LOVE that they have complimentary corn tea. A bottle is usually $2-3 at the grocery store, so my friend and I annihilated all 3 tumblers of them at our table and filled our flask to go. Nicely sweet and deliciously refreshing. For our dinner, we got the: 1) Tasty Cheesy Popping Corn Pancake: -Super gooey and cheesy with lots of sweet corn. -Falls apart easily when you're trying to grab pieces of it, but it's an easy, junk foody time item to eat. My fav of the night hilariously enough. 2) Bone In Garlic Deep Fried Chicken: -Very generous portion of fried chicken. -Very crispy and the glaze is addicting. Nice garlic taste with some sweetness to it. -I'm not a fan of bone in chicken and eating near the bone, I found this chicken to have a very strong "chicken-y" taste. I got a bit sick of it and didn't eat more than a drumstick. Everyone else really liked it though. 3) Stir Fried Pork Belly with Kimchi: -Can't go wrong with the crispiness of the pork belly and the sourness of the kimchi. Good crunch combo. -Goes great with the super spicy jalapenos and as a protein add on to the pancakes that we got. -Delicious even as left overs too. Since we were snacking throughout the day before dinner, we had lots of leftovers to take home. My brother devoured it, and really liked it. My table also ordered a beer and the peach makgeoli. The makgeoli came in a large glass pitcher and was enough to share with our entire table. Very sweet, peach slush, you can barely taste the alcohol in it and probably the downfall of many. read more

Misoolkwan OC is a great place for late night drinks and eats. The moment you enter, it transform you to almost a night market in Korea. My party of 4 were escorted to any table of our liking. As an added bonus, big protector and tvs are everywhere so you can also watch the game while you catch up with friends. I love that there is a screen at the table, where you can order food, however not the drinks on there. I'm guessing it's in case you're underage? Anyhow, the screen makes it convenient especially when it is busy. My recs are sweet spicy boneless chicken are seafood pancake. They are both bomb! Full of flavor and cooked just right! I think we ordered 9 sojus that night, all complement the good food. Gather some friends, meet up at Missolkwan OC, and let the good times roll! read more
My party of 6 arrived for a late dinner. There was at least a whole page of names ahead of us. We were luckily seated within an hour. *just know to stay around the host table...I only hear them call a parry name once, maybe twice and they will cross names off that list. We were seated at the far back corner which was nice. Kind of our own private nook, but it didn't have a TV screen to order. We had to flag folks down which was kinda annoying. Overall, service was not terrible, considering how busy they are. The music was very loud to where you're shouting within your own table. That's cool for the 20 yo crowd. The food was pretty good and decently priced. They add tip to the bill. Like it or not. It's not like other establishments who just incorporate priced to justify paying a living wage. This wouldn't be my go-to, but definitely a nice trendy place to visit once in a while. read more
Not bad, but not as good as before. I came to this place before about a year ago and was really excited to come back (especially for the muscat ade), but was slightly disappointed this time. We were able to be seated right away since we came earlier (around 5:30-6pm), and now they have tablets at each table for convenient ordering. They were out of a lot of the drinks including the muscat ade unfortunately. The grilled pork belly with kimchi was pretty good. The rose tteokbokki was not salty enough at all and the fried chicken was too salty. I still think the ambience of the restaurant is fun and unique, but for the food quality, not sure if we will be coming back. read more

My friends and I always come here whenever there is a big group of us! The wait tends to get long especially on weekends so I would def recommend to go early. I love the overall vibes of the place, there's always music blasting and it's super lively. Also, everything we've tried is has been so delicious. Our go tos are the kimchi pork belly, garlic chicken, and seafood pancake. But I also love the beef tartare and the salmon sashimi with egg. For those who drink, the muscat makgeolli is a must try!! Note that all of the menu items are a bit on the pricier side tho. read more
I thought the vibes of this place were great! It was packed and people kept coming in and their flavored makgeoli was good but I was slightly disappointed by the food. The best thing was the pork and kimchi dish and the seafood pancake but the boneless fried chicken was tough to chew and the pickled radish had no flavor and the mala noodle soup was just okay. But it's located at the source where there's ample parking and lots of various stores to check out! I do think this was one of the more busier places and you sign up by adding yourself to their Yelp waitlist. Their menu is extensive so maybe I'll try different things next time read more

misoolkwan is a great korean pub to eat and drink with your friends and family! everything we got was good, from the appetizers to the main entrees and to the drinks!! my party of 10 was seated outside under a tent and surrounded by heaters, and service was super fast and efficient, so we didn't feel any difference whether sitting inside or outside. favorite dishes & drinks: - stir fried pork & kimchi: perfectly cooked pork that melted in your mouth with every bite! eat it with the kimchi and garlic for the perfect bite !! i ate this one the most probably out of all the dishes - oden udon tang: i love how comforting this was! you can never go wrong with a hot udon soup with fishcakes, and i liked how the broth was slightly spicy for more flavor! - deep fried intestines: i didn't expect to like this so much because i'm not a big fan of intestines, but these were addictive! the batter was super crispy, and the intestines inside were soft and had a good chew. it went really well with the spicy mayo sauce and soy based sauce too! - yogurt makgeoli slush: i love makgeoli, yogurt, and slushies, so this was a great drink LOL other dishes: - corn pancake: definitely the most unique dish out of everything ordered! it's loaded up with corn and cheese and can get pretty heavy fast, but still yummy and worth a try! - kimchi pancake: good and standard kimchi pancake, nothing too crazy about it - sweet & spicy bone in chicken: pretty standard korean fried chicken with a sweet & spicy sticky sauce - garlic chicken: veeery garlicky and good - truffle fries: can never go wrong with truffle fries! perfectly crispy and seasoned well - high ball (muscat & lemon): i originally got the muscat flavor and wasn't a big fan of the artificial green grape flavor as someone who loves green grape. i swapped with my cousin for her lemon one and liked it a lot more! read more

Located on the 3rd floor at The Source, this restaurant is a Korean retro pub/pocha, great for grabbing some late-night food and drinks. The interior gives off very old-school and nostalgic vibes from the 70's and 80's in Korea. My husband brought me here for dinner and we had a great experience. There was a tablet at the table to place the order ourselves. It was really easy and efficient to use. We ordered two dishes to share, which was more than enough. The food was brought out pretty quickly. First, we received the Rose Tteok-bokki. Honestly, this was one of the yummiest tteokbokki dishes I've ever had. The sauce was extremely rich and creamy with just the perfect level of spiciness. Rice cakes and fish cakes were plentiful. I loved that instant ramen was included in the dish. The sausages and egg were also delicious. Next, we got the Seafood and Green Onion Pancake. The portion of this thing was massive. It was fried to create a light and crispy texture without being overly oily. I loved the generous amount of seafood pieces cooked throughout the pancake. It is the perfect sharing dish, and great to eat alongside some drinks. Another small feature I really like about this place is the chairs. You can open them up to store your belongings inside. How awesome! Of course, there is plenty of parking available, as Milsookwan is part of a large shopping mall. read more

Are there vegetarian options?
Very limited but you can get the pancakes without seafood or just the corn cheese, or you can get the teboki without meat. That's about it....
What is the table water? Its super delicious?
If I'm not mistaken, it's either a corn or barley tea.
Do they ID at the door or can people go just to eat?
