I've been here a few times but recently had dinner here with my coworkers. It hits every time and is a perfect place to drink, yap, and grub! it can get really crowded so definitely try and get here earlier if you can: There's always plenty of things to do though since it's at The Source and there's so many shops and photobooths while you wait. The restaurant is pretty huge but it gets super loud! The screens are always playing kpop groups with music playing and its always fun to watch. For food, I've tried a lot of their menu and everything is so good and shareable. The korean fried chicken is crispy, not dry, and seasoned so well! A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce. We came here on a Wednesday night and it was still surprisingly popping! I was craving something soupy and my boyfriend wanted fried chicken. I ordered the gopchang hot pot and my boyfriend got fried chicken. The portion sizes are generous and we struggled to finish everything, but everything was very delicious! Went around 6pm and there wasn't much of a wait. I got the pork belly and cheese corn pancake. The pork belly came with a side garlic and oddly tomato tasting Kim chi. I asked the waiters/hostess if there was tomato sauce in the Kim chi? They said yes but went to ask the guys in the back and one replied "no there is no tomato sauce, do you not know what's in Kim chi" to the hostess. So I ate more of it and thinking, there is really tomato paste in this LOL. I looked up the yelp reviews while I was eating and literally so many reviews about the Kim chi having tomato paste. Thought we had lucked out but honestly, everyone working here is super efficient and vigilant. Ordered the stir fried pork belly, corn cheese pancake, and rose tteokbokki. Corn pancake was HUGE like a large pizza. Very thin but super gooey, actually couldn't get a grip on it with the tongs because it was falling apart. Ended up having a corn cheese pancake salad but it was still great. Rose tteokbokki was pretty weak in terms of flavor, friends that I came with agreed that the flavoring wasn't as strong as it usually was, and they're regulars here! Pork belly dish deserves its own paragraph. I mean... holy. The perfect mix of salt on the juicy, fatty (and generous!) pork belly slices, the slightly sweet and sour kimchi, and soft, roasted garlic. If you're getting one thing on the menu, let it be this! Had a muscat iced drink to share for the table, we subbed out maekgeolli for milk for a nonalcoholic option. They also offered yogurt as a substitute! We didn't wait for a long time at any point, however. The food is a bit pricey, but the portions are large. The most generous is the kimchi seafood pancake which was the size of a medium pizza. Split amongst 2 people, this was more than enough food, and it was really good! I do wish the rose ttebboki had more rice cake in it. Came here after a concert and I'm really glad we did because Misoolkwan is such a great late night spot. I love that they stay open late since it's not always easy to find good food after events. We ordered the Stir-Fried Pork Belly & Kimchi ($28) and the Stir-Fried Beef Brisket and Mung Bean Sprouts with Udon ($31+ with the udon added). The pork belly was honestly amazing. It was super tender and practically melted in your mouth, and the kimchi added the perfect balance of savory and slightly tangy flavor. The portion size was also really generous. The three of us shared it and it was still plenty of food. The beef brisket and mung bean sprouts dish was another standout. Adding udon to it was such a good idea because the noodles soaked up all the flavorful sauce. Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening at around 630p. Took a little bit to find where the restaurant was but thanks to yelp pictures, at least i knew it was on the "top/3rd floor". It was kind of "hidden" in a corner. Restaurant was full and lots of people waiting outside. When I had put my name on the list, the hostess asked if we'd be ok with sitting outside. With the weather being decent, we just opted for whatever be fastest and agreed to outside seating. After waiting for maybe 20min, we were seated inside and was was seemingly a randomly made table on the side. Decor was quite unique. Old style Korean design with like a pocha-like layout seating. What's unique about this restaurant is there seems to be no "designated" server for a certain area, so you just can flag anyone down. Also, on the menu, it states "A 10% fee will be added to your bill. This is not a gratuity or tip. We are a no-tipping restaurant. The fee is revenue that is not segmented or designated in any way. it is taxed according to state law and is used to fund maintain all operations. PLEASE, NO TIPPING." Kind of weird but sure. Upon seating, a waiter brought 3 small pitcher's of barley tea/water and utensils/plating. Then we flagged someone to order food MISOOLKWAN TTEOK-BOKKI - Served in a metal container/bowl. Decent amount of fish cake, a few whole eggs, a few fried mandu. Sauce is a little thin but flavor was good. There is also ramyeon in this as well. ODEN UDON TANG (was supposed to be for the kiddo but no one noticed the smol chili next to the item that showed it being 'spicy' oops?) - Served on a butane stove to keep hot. LOTS of fish cake/oden. Mildly spicy because i think they put gochujang in the soup/broth. Wished there was more udon BONE-IN FRIED CHICKEN - Whole fried chicken cut into pieces served with pickled radish. Good portion and flavor DEEP FRIED BEEF INTESTINE - This was surprisingly the BEST item we had gotten. Never had "deep fried intestine" in a korean place before so this was a "gamble" but definitely won. I think its small beef intestine (gopchang), cut into pieces like popcorn chicken and fried. Served with slices of fresh jalapeno on top, with a side of pickled onion/chili sauce like youd get for dipping with like... seolleongtang and another creamy/mildly spicy sauce (that we all used) Unfortunately, they dont have Cass on draft/tap so i ordered a bottle of Cass instead, since it was only 2 of us drinking anyway. Matched so well with the deep fried beef intestine and bone-in fried chicken !! Ambiance is quite noisy already from just background music and people chatting but at around 8p, they dim the lights and start blasting music and playing music videos. Luckily it was near the end of our meal so we had left shortly after that started. I'd come back for that DEEP FRIED BEEF INTESTINE again ! Managed to do a walk in and immediately got seated here for a party of 4 on a Monday night before the dinner rush. All the other times that I've been here, there were always large groups waiting outside. So this was a great moment! Especially since we had friends from out of state who wanted to try something unique. Ordering happens through the tablets at each table, but you have to flag down a server to order any alcohol. Restrooms were fairly clean when we went. I LOVE that they have complimentary corn tea. A bottle is usually $2-3 at the grocery store, so my friend and I annihilated all 3 tumblers of them at our table and filled our flask to go. Nicely sweet and deliciously refreshing. For our dinner, we got the: 1) Tasty Cheesy Popping Corn Pancake: -Super gooey and cheesy with lots of sweet corn. -Falls apart easily when you're trying to grab pieces of it, but it's an easy, junk foody time item to eat. My fav of the night hilariously enough. 2) Bone In Garlic Deep Fried Chicken: -Very generous portion of fried chicken. -Very crispy and the glaze is addicting. Nice garlic taste with some sweetness to it. -I'm not a fan of bone in chicken and eating near the bone, I found this chicken to have a very strong "chicken-y" taste. I got a bit sick of it and didn't eat more than a drumstick. Everyone else really liked it though. 3) Stir Fried Pork Belly with Kimchi: -Can't go wrong with the crispiness of the pork belly and the sourness of the kimchi. Good crunch combo. -Goes great with the super spicy jalapenos and as a protein add on to the pancakes that we got. -Delicious even as left overs too. Since we were snacking throughout the day before dinner, we had lots of leftovers to take home. My brother devoured it, and really liked it. My table also ordered a beer and the peach makgeoli. But it's located at the source where there's ample parking and lots of various stores to check out! Misoolkwan OC is a great place for late night drinks and eats. The moment you enter, it transform you to almost a night market in Korea. My party of 4 were escorted to any table of our liking. As an added bonus, big protector and tvs are everywhere so you can also watch the game while you catch up with friends. I love that there is a screen at the table, where you can order food, however not the drinks on there. I'm guessing it's in case you're underage? The rose tteokbokki was not salty enough at all and the fried chicken was too salty. Nice casual place for food and drinks with friends. We went on a Saturday night and it was so busy that we opted for the outdoor seating. Food took a while to come out but it was very yummy. Misoolkwan at the Source is always busy and always buzzing; the energy alone makes it a fun place to eat. The makgeolli comes super frosty, which is exactly how it should be. The kimchi is mild but vibrantly red, more bright and fresh than spicy, and the tteokbokki is spot-on with a great texture and balance. On our last visit we ordered the popcorn chicken, which was easy, crispy, and addictive. This time we went with the regular fried chicken, and while it was still good, I was honestly a little too lazy to deal with the bones. Definitely should've stuck with the popcorn chicken again. Overall, great vibes, solid Korean comfort food, and a place I'd happily keep coming back. Tip: The tablets don't have the full menu, so you'll have to order drinks and off menu items like popcorn chicken with the servers. read more

Located on the 3rd floor at The Source, this restaurant is a Korean retro pub/pocha, great for grabbing some late-night food and drinks. The interior gives off very old-school and nostalgic vibes from the 70's and 80's in Korea. My husband brought me here for dinner and we had a great experience. There was a tablet at the table to place the order ourselves. It was really easy and efficient to use. We ordered two dishes to share, which was more than enough. The food was brought out pretty quickly. First, we received the Rose Tteok-bokki. Honestly, this was one of the yummiest tteokbokki dishes I've ever had. The sauce was extremely rich and creamy with just the perfect level of spiciness. Rice cakes and fish cakes were plentiful. I loved that instant ramen was included in the dish. The sausages and egg were also delicious. Next, we got the Seafood and Green Onion Pancake. The portion of this thing was massive. It was fried to create a light and crispy texture without being overly oily. I loved the generous amount of seafood pieces cooked throughout the pancake. It is the perfect sharing dish, and great to eat alongside some drinks. Another small feature I really like about this place is the chairs. You can open them up to store your belongings inside. How awesome! Of course, there is plenty of parking available, as Milsookwan is part of a large shopping mall. read more

Loved this place. Misoolkwan is a Korean pub located at the Source. It's a pretty spacious restaurant with simple wood decor. Tables and half booths can accommodate both small and larger parties. . I came with a big group of friends and we ordered several different items. My absolute favorite was the fried chicken and the pork belly with kimchi. I also really enjoyed the corn pancake. While I had my faves, honestly everything was good. We had the other 2 seafood pancakes, the rose Tteok-bokki which is a creamy version of the original, and an udon soup with fish cakes. We ordered beers and soju as per the usual but also tried the ice blended Makgeolli which was delicious. You are going to want a pitcher or two. The service was good. They were friendly and helpful. We made sure to give our compliments to the floor manager as Note that they do not take reservations and it does get busier as the night goes on. Also note that it is not the same restaurant as M barbecue, which is right next-door even though they seem to share the same phone number. Park on the fourth level of the structure and it will l to the third level of the mall which is where the restaurant is located. read more
