Disappointing Visit: Service, Billing Concerns My boyfriend and I visited London's Pub & Grill in Artesia expecting a relaxed, casual evening, but we left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. The service did not feel professional. I noticed beer being poured carelessly, with a noticeable amount wasted during the process. While that may sound small, it reflects a lack of attention when customers are paying for their drinks. I also encourage customers to review their bills carefully. The gratuity or additional charges were not clearly aligned with the level of service we received, and the experience left me unsure about exactly what had been added. Clear, transparent billing should be standard--especially when a customer has questions. More concerning was the way staff handled those questions. An interaction with a staff member, Parag, became unnecessarily confrontational. I had difficulty understanding parts of the communication, and the tone and manner of the encounter made me feel intimidated and physically uncomfortable. I am only sharing my personal experience--not making assumptions about intent--but it went well beyond a normal customer-service disagreement. I also saw what appeared to be a camera or surveillance device in the men's accessible restroom. I cannot verify what it was, whether it recorded anything, or why it was installed, so I do not want to speculate. Still, seeing something that appeared to be a camera in a restroom was alarming and raised serious privacy questions. Management should be able to provide a clear explanation of what the device is and why it is located there. Restaurants can be busy, and mistakes happen. But customers should be able to ask about a charge without feeling dismissed or intimidated, and they should never have to feel uncertain about their privacy. Based on this visit, I would be very hesitant to return. I hope management takes this feedback seriously--particularly regarding staff professionalism, billing transparency, and the apparent device in the restroom. read more

Food: ordered the bangers and mash. Bangers was hot and delicious, mash potatoes were just right. Gravy was good too. Also it came with a side order of your chosing. I've never had English style peas but I liked it. Everything was hot. Service: was on point. Drew and Gavin were great. Ambience: never been to England but I'm assuming it was just like England. Came here with some colleagues for lunch. The food was great here (I ordered a butter chicken curry and had enough for leftovers!). However I felt the service was iffy at the time. It was a bit hard to get a server's attention (granted there were only 2 of them) but it's possible that was affected by the time of day too (it was 12pm on a Friday). The interior is comfortable and interesting. This is a great place to watch sports (especially with the World Cup going on now) with the many large televisions stationed around the restaurant. Parking is a bit tight. The staff was amazing today and want to give the bartender William a huge shout out. He was phenomenal and service like he provided is a huge attribute for a restaurant to have in my opinion. 1st time here. Seen this place for many yrs and decided to finally stop by as I was craving some fish & chips. First impression: Upon walking in, we were a little lost because we didn't know if we needed to be seated by a hostess or if we could sit anywhere. We weren't sure who worked there because no one had any type of "uniform" or at least a shirt to distinguish they were employees. Everyone was dressed in street clothes. No one greeted us and were not attended to until we got up and were getting ready to leave. The waitress came over and handed us menus. She didn't greet us or gave her name either. But like I said, we wanted to try this place out so we decided to sit back down and order. Food: Hubby ordered your hamburger and I ordered fish & chips. Good was delicious! Bigger portions than expected. Burger came with double patty and although his burger came out well-done (when he asked for med-well) it was not dry and still juicy. My fish & chips were also delicious! Two big pieces of cod fish. Not greasy at all! I ate one piece and took the other home. So....food was great. Will return to try other items. Service is lacking. Would recommend at least have the employees were name tags if you're not gonna provide any type of uniform so we know who is employed. And please greet and welcome your patrons. Since it's an English pub, I didn't expect to see quite a bit of Indian cuisine available. I opted to order the chicken tikka masala that comes with rice and roti. The food didn't disappoint! I'd recommend the cheddar jalapeño burger and the mum's chicken pizza. Londons has the BEST sweet potato fries! Was here a while ago for a retirement celebration and to watch the Man U match. Decided wifey and I needed some Fish and Chips. First the ambiance is super charming and decorated to definitely give an English pub feel. Service is cordial but just a little slow. The fish and chips were flaky hot and tasty. FOOD: Wings (Recommend) Comforting. Wings were cooked, juicy, and a classic buffalo kick. Fries (Recommend) Another delightful comfort. Crunchy and savory with good portions. Fried Shrimp (Recommend) Good crunch and not overcooked. For some bar food on the seafood side, this is your choice Cool Cucumber (Recommend) A nice mix of gin and a fruity elderflower sweet taste to it. A nice zesty drink if you're looking into that. I asked how much a Michelob Ultra on tap was and the bartender looked it up on the cash register and told me it was $6 something (under $6.50), yet I was charged $7 even for it. I didn't demand that they honor the prices listed, cuz that just upsets me. But it is a pet peeve of mine so I just don't go back regardless of how much I liked it. This is a nice and chill pub that has good food and drinks. The ambiance is a nice classic British pub style joint with the nice dark wood walls. The service is good and the servers are friendly. I also like how they didn't get too crazy with the menu. The Chef here is quite skilled in my opinion. Kudos to him for having such a good assortment of appetizers and main entree dishes. The British classics here are some my favorite from the menu from Fish & Chips, Shepherds Pie, Corned Beef and Cabbage (my favorite) just to name a few. Its in my old town cerritos / artesia where I went to high school I dont visit often but it is nice to have a full bar where its quiet enough to catch up with old friends. This place is amazing! If you're hungry/ this is the place- or very shareable plates. We were in search of fish n chips and this place didn't disappoint! Fried crispy on the outside and steamy flakey white meat on the inside. Also tried the corned beef hash- the plate was huge and we had to take half of it home! Our server was great-always checking back with us and keeping our drinks refilled. The shepherds pie was a perfect mix potatoes gravy and beef! The bowl looks small, but is deep. My family and I came here to watch the FIFA game. They had spots open, we sat down, and were about to order when a worker kicked us out 50 min before kick off saying the owner called and said this section is closed for a private event. They displaced us and 2 other groups. A different server told us that it was fine to sit there. Nowhere in that section was there signage posted that it was a private event. We went to go look for another spot and told us we can sit outside where you could not even watch the game because of the glare. As a paying customer excited to watch the FIFA match, it was a terrible customer experience. I liked his energy, felt super welcomed and I liked how he would give me his honest opinions on the dishes as sometimes I can be a picky eater. We were a party of 5 (one toddler included)--It was really unfortunate that they could not keep it together when it came to the service. It was absolutely terrible. One of us asked for availability of a food item and we were unable to get an answer for over an hour! The waiter seemed to keep forgetting about our table and could not complete a single request. At one point, he asked if we'd like a round of waters, we said yes, and he brought one cup of water. One! I ended up asking a waitress for help because our waiter wouldn't even come check on us--she was able to put in our food order and all seemed to have taken a turn for the better, but when it was time to get our food, my burger never showed. Once it was mentioned, it was clear that they'd either forgotten the burger or had given it to another table. When the burger eventually came, I didn't even want to have it anymore, eating only the fries. Then the bill comes, the forgotten burger was charged on our bill, we had to ask for it to be removed. We definitely won't be returning--it seems to be a good place to watch games given that they have LOTS of TV's, but the service is trash. read more

Food was what I expected for bar food, but with a British twist (fish and chips, burgers, also several curry dishes). Drinks were standard. Service was sub par. We were there on a weeknight and there were only 2 or 3 other tables there. We had to flag the server multiple times to get him to come over.
