We stopped in for dinner the other night. There is parking available. The restaurant itself is small but charming. It feels very homey. We got the two person live seafood combo. It is $160 and comes with almost too much food. We could have easily brought one or two more people with us. You get so many dishes ranging from salads, to corn cheese, to pork, to a steamed egg, a seafood pancake and even cold kimchi soup. Then the live seafood arrives. The live octopus is so cool as it is still moving. Chew it thoroughly and then swallow so the suction cups don't stick to your mouth. There is also abalone, sea cucumber, sea squirt and spoon worms. The freshness is unmatched and the flavors are so good. The star is the halibut and fluke sashimi. Thee portion is so large and having fresh sashimi like this is unreal. And then there is still more food. Now the spicy pork, fried items such as tempura and onion rings, and a spicy fish stew all arrive. Then you get a bowl of Korean shaved ice to end the meal. Such an amazing experience. Service was amazing and really took the time to explain to us all the dishes and the best way to eat many of them. This is a one of a kind meal that you won't soon forget.

Come here and dine like royalty. My friend and I came here and got the 2 People Combo ($160) which includes a tanksome of live seafood. This definitely feeds more than two. They also have combos for 3-4 people. We came on a Tuesday when they opened at 530 and it was a slow night and they're open late. Parking was easy since it was slow. But since it shared the lot with a Billiards place I could imagine the lot getting busier. It'll be an adventure for some, especially when your food is still moving. The live octopus is not for everyone, we were instructed to chew it for awhile before swallowing it. Not my thing but my friend had some. The combo also included live abalone, sea squirt, sea cucumber, sashimi, spoon worm, and spicy squid cold broth, beef tartare, spicy fish stew, fried dishes and various special dishes (Jeollado-style: [the southwestern Jeolla provinces of South Korea] is globally renowned as the culinary heart of Korea, distinguished by bold, deeply savory flavors, generous portions, and the extensive use of heavily fermented seafood (jeotgal).) -google The service was god tier! I don't remember her name but she gave us the rundown for each dish. Since it was my first time, I asked what's the best way to eat this and she explained everything like a pro. I also asked if the restaurant is family run and she mentioned the owners grandmas are working in the kitchen and that's how you know this is authentic! We were able to eat most of it and it was soo good. Our server mentioned that we eat well!! I'm assuming a lot of people fail to clear out their plates

Zoomak is such a fun spot if you're looking for a lively night out with friends. The vibe is definitely upbeat, music playing in the background, a little loud, but in a good way that makes it feel energetic and social. The food was solid and perfect for sharing. The pork belly platter was beautifully presented and paired really well with the fresh salad in the center. We also tried the spicy dishes, and they had great flavor with just the right kick. Definitely hits the spot when you're drinking. The chicken dish was saucy, tender, and super satisfying. Drinks were on point too, making it an ideal place to hang out, catch up, and just enjoy the night. It's not a quiet dinner type of place, it's more of a "come here to have fun" kind of spot. There's limited parking but it is free. Out waitresses and waiter were very friendly and attentive. Overall, great food, great energy, and perfect for a group night out. I'd definitely come back for drinks and good vibes!

Came here for fiancés birthday! Service was so fast in the beginning, and the portions are so big. Loved that they give miyeoukguk (seaweed soup). Korean pocha ambience was great and the music was enjoyable touch to our meal.

My husband & I came here couple of weeks ago with 2 other couples so total 6 of us on a Saturday night. Ambiance was chill & laid back. There was outdoor seating as well. Business was slow around the time we got there with only 2 other tables but as the night went on, place got booked up. We ordered Kimchi pancake, tofu kimchi, corn cheese, chicken gizzard, & Bacon rice cake skewer for all of us to share. Everything was seasoned right & solid. Service was beyond excellent. Our server initially comped us a free bottle of soju bc he brought the wrong brand but then he continuously comped us more bottles of soju & beer. We don't why but thought that was very generous of him. Bc of the service, I'm definitely coming back in the future & would like to try other items on the menu.

I've come here several times before and tried a new menu item. The quesadilla was just okay and I likely won't order it again. We almost always get the shaved ice and the quality/quantity is not consistent and varies depending on who is making it. On this visit, it was excellent! The service and ambiance was good as always.

New pocha spot unlocked. The vibes were an older crowd and it was perfect to get drinks and chat with your friends as they weren't blasting the music. Everything was yummy but I wished their pork belly wasn't as fatty and more crispy. Service was pleasant as well. Will definitely be back.

My friends and I had the best time here! Such great service, fun ambiance, and the friendliest staff. Food is also amazing. Would come back again!

After a fun day at Knott's Berry Farm, my wife and I decided to get dinner before hitting the road…read more The criteria were good eats, a varied beer selection, a decent atmosphere, and hopefully some novelty. Rock and Brews exceeded each category and came in clutch with some bonuses! First, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! I had tacos, which were discounted for Taco Tuesday and allowed for a mix-and-match of chicken, beef, or pork. My wife had the Mediterranean salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a pretzel that was mega yummy. Second, beer! Lots of great choices, and if you prefer a mixed spirit, well, you're in luck, because they have plenty of those too. Third, vibes! Vibes like Cal Tjader came back to life. The place is decked out like your coolest friend won the lottery and created the perfect spot for all of his Rock & Roll lovin' homies to hang and chill. It is hard to pull off this level of focus without being a complete visual disaster or downright tawdry. Luckily for them, the designer understood the assignment. Well done, designer. You deserve a raise. Now, obviously, I'm a fan. One visit. That's all it took. But even after all of that goodness, there is one thing I must share, because it made a good experience a great one, and that thing is not even a thing; it was Matthew! Brother, thank you for being so kind and attentive. You are very talented, and without question, the quality of our experience is directly linked to your professionalism. I get the impression that no matter where you go, or what you do, the Force is always strong with you. Let's give Matt a raise too! And make him manager when you open the San Diego location.

They were tasty, too, but I can always appreciate a good looking burger that doesn't fall over after they place it on the table. I had the super spicy one and it kicked my bum. I can't hang like the old days. Very fun eating experience though, and I was able to finish every single scoville. Waiter was helpful with customizing (bread swap). French fries were fine. Will be back, even if it's just to get a bottle of their hot sauce . Only real gripe is that this place looks and feels like a sports bar/restaurant, it has over a dozen TVs... But the same thing was on ALL the TVs ! I understand the music theme is central appeal, but at least have different (variety) music videos on if you're gonna have 30 TVs in your restaurant. Make it interesting

It's a small gesture, but it immediately made us feel welcomed. We decided to go with one of the combo meals, which came with boneless crispy fried chicken, cheese tteokbokki, and fried potstickers. We also added an order of corn cheese because... how could we not? The chicken lived up to the hype. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a sauce that had me licking my fingers without shame. The cheese tteokbokki was exactly what I was hoping for. Chewy rice cakes swimming in a rich, spicy, cheesy sauce that kept me coming back for another bite. The corn cheese deserves its own paragraph because wow... I understand why Korean restaurants serve this. Sweet corn covered in gooey melted cheese is one of those dishes that sounds simple but somehow disappears before you realize it. The fried potstickers rounded everything out nicely and added another crispy bite to the meal. And because apparently we hadn't eaten enough, we finished with Dippin' Dots for dessert. It was such a fun way to end the meal and brought back a little childhood nostalgia. Overall, the portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the whole spread looked as good as it tasted. This is definitely a place I'll be coming back to whenever the Korean fried chicken craving hits.

The garlic has a little kick to it, while the soy ended up being my favorite. The sauce was savory, slightly sweet, and somehow the wings stayed incredibly crispy even after being coated. Next time I'd love to try the honey soy, and eventually work my way through all of the different flavors. The wings themselves are nice and meaty, so you definitely get your money's worth. We also ordered both the deep-fried gizzard and the stir-fried gizzard. They're completely different dishes, but both were excellent. The stir-fried version comes with jalapeños, garlic, and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Be warned though--the jalapeños bring some serious heat. If you like spicy food, it's so worth ordering. The deep-fried gizzard was just as good. It comes with a smoky, spicy dipping sauce, but honestly it doesn't even need it because it's flavorful all on its own. My only small complaint is the portion size of the gizzards. They're huge. One order of the deep-fried gizzard is around $24 and could easily be shared by four or five people as an appetizer. For just a couple, I wish they offered a smaller portion at a lower price. After trying the gizzards, I have a feeling the original crispy wings would be delicious even without sauce. That said, the sauces we tried were so flavorful that I'd probably keep ordering them. The soy in particular was outstanding, and I loved that the wings stayed extra crispy from the first bite to the last. We'll definitely be back to try more flavors.
