Food is good. Service is way too slow. Every menu u order takes 20 minutes or more. AC isn't working well the restaurant is way too hot. I was waiting in front of fire for about 30 minutes because the food wasn't coming out. We order rice and it's not even one person portion.

best eel i've ever had. came back twice in 5 days. Super low key spot, this place needs to get more business because i'm gonna need this place to stay in business forever. Ordered the grilled Eel and cold noodles. So fire. we ordered a second eel and they gave us an extra one. The grill has charcoals in it and it really elevates the flavors. the Mung bean pancake is so crispy too. my only wish is that there was also one in Long Beach. haha

Recommended by my friend. When I first walked in, it was full of people. When I sat down, the server came right away and took our order. He gave us recommendations to what to order. 2 orders of bbq eel seemed bit too little but when we finished, it was alot. Three of us were full. We also ordered steamed egg but honestly didn't meet my expectation. We also had kimchi noodle and it was surprising good after all that protein. Sides dishes, the fresh sliced garlic and ssam veggies were refilled unlimited. At the beginning, I thought price was bit high but after I ate the food, the price was very reasonable. For serive, our waiter was super friendly, easy to talk to and very professional. I highly recommend this place if you like fresh eel.

Eel Village (장어 마을) charcoal-grilled eel and Korean BBQ. Walking into Eel Village, the air is thick with the tantalizing aroma of charcoal smoke and sizzling meat, instantly setting the stage for a memorable Korean BBQ experience. The star of the menu, the charcoal-grilled eel, arrives at the table, juicy and ready to finish cooking on your table top charcoal grill. Their short ribs are tender and flavorful. Vibrant banchan, cozy vibe, great portions. Finish it off with Cold Buckwheat Noodles. Service for our table was great. Very attentative even though they were busy. This is not all you can eat. Check out the menu and you will realise how affordable and tasty this place can be.

Ordered two orders of the grilled eel, which they said is their most popular item (one eel is $50). The service here is amazing, they threw in a third free eel for us because one of the eels was apparently small even though it looked normal size and also had complimentary stew at the end. This amount was perfect for two of us without feeling too full. This is our first time trying Korean grilled eel. They grill and cut it for you and it's nice and crispy on the outside and soft/jelly like on the inside. They gave us multiple types of wraps including lettuce wraps, perilla leaf wraps, and some sort of pre marinate perilla leaf wrap. I enjoyed it the most with lettuce and wasn't a huge fan of the perilla leaves. They also come with different dipping sauces as well (one that came with the lettuce/perilla leaves which was a bit salty, eel sauce, and a spicy eel sauce. The banchan here is also good. Parking is easy as it's located in a food plaza.

I'd never been there before, so this review is all about first impressions. As we approached, the sign caught my attention: "Under New Ownership." Outside, an employee sat scrolling on his phone. It was a quiet Sunday around 3 PM, and we were the only patrons in sight. Checking Yelp beforehand had been a bit of a letdown, as their menu featured items they no longer offer. No links were available either. We ordered half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, and four pieces of cornbread--all priced reasonably. Their tap selection turned out to be decent. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average. While it's clear they've got potential, a bit more effort could turn Wholly Smokes into a go-to spot. Leaning in on those small details would really elevate the experience.

The outside is a bit unassuming while the inside looks a bit more like a "you're going to get a personalized experience." The tables were clean, the restaurant smell reflected that sentiment as well. My boyfriend and I come in and see one man running tables. After a short wait, he greets us and sits us down. Again, the grill was clean, the table didn't have that usual sticky residue from restaurants, and drinks were provided alongside some small side dishes. Presentation was already off to a great start! SERVICE: Two gentlemen took care our table. They ran the restaurant with ease and precision. I have nothing but great things to say regarding their customer service. A solid 10/10 from both my boyfriends and I :) y'all were KILLING IT!!! There was a nice dinner rush and we still received the incredible customer service. FOOD: oh my goodness! We absolutely enjoyed everything we ordered. That bulgogi stole the show for us tbh. The flavors all came together nicely. The one thing I wouldn't order again though would be the baby octopus, but that's more of a personal preference. My boyfriend enjoyed the flavor! Overall, definitely coming back for that type of food quality and service.

Not only was I completely stuffed by the end, but every course felt so thoughtfully selected that I left feeling truly nourished within my body and soul. We ordered the Premium Han-Jeongsik, which featured a non-stop parade of incredible small plates: porridge, salad, radish water kimchi, spicy beef tartare, pan-fried sliced beef, braised short ribs, glass noodles with assorted vegetables, savory pancakes, seasonal scallops, and a rich kimchi stew. The dining experience felt wonderfully elegant as each course was brought out sequentially, allowing us to fully savor every unique flavor and texture. To top it off, they finished with my favorite sweet rice punch to cleanse the palate. While it certainly isn't cheap, this is definitely a "celebrate a special occasion or pretend you're royalty for an evening" kind of place. Lastly, the exceptional service makes every penny worth it. You can get food every 1.5 hours while in the park, which is enough to share between 2 people if you're good about getting meals on time. Chicken (8/10) - Comes with Cornbread + 1 side (we got mac and cheese) - Regarding the chicken itself...YUM! Juicy, soft, and HUGE! It's not just a single thigh, but literally half a chicken. It's a huge portion size for 1 person, meaning easily sharable between 2 people. Roasted until the outside is relatively crispy while maintaining a juicy interior - Cornbread was good, nothing special yet nothing bad about it - Mac and Cheese was slightly on the drier side, but still paired super well with the chicken Overall, great option and great portion sizes at the Boardwalk BBQ! I feel like a yelper that's been living under rocks. Can't believe I never heard of this place…read moreuntil I recently saw my fellow yelper Van D's review. This is western BBQ with an Asian flair. I think the flavor is better and slightly less heavy than a traditional American BBQ. Everything was so packed with flavor, can't really pick a favorite among so many great proteins. Smoked Brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a nice smokey taste. Green Curry Sausage was definitely unique with a really nice Thai infused flavors. Was slightly spicy with strong green curry and lemongrass flavors. Canton Bowl, which comes with smoked pork belly char siu, siu yuk (pork belly with super crispy skin), and coconut rice, was excellent as well. The siu yuk was really good with super crispy/crunchy skin. House-made BBQ sauces were quite good. I really like the gochujang bbq sauce. It has decent amount of heat with a sweet & spicy taste. The regular house BBQ sauce has a tangy, sweet taste with a very subtle heat. It's located at Cottage Industries. Not exactly sure what to call it. It's somewhat like a small community of restaurants and shops with a garden and a play area for kids. Parking is very limited so will most likely need to park on the streets along residential area. Service is minimal. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. I also asked for a leaner cut of meat but my meat were really fatty. I liked the cornbread and their butter was really good! The coleslaw was ok and the rice was dry with pork bits.
