Came here for a quick bite as my dinner. I haven't visited The Source Food Court in a long while, so this is my first review here haha. I've seen Jaws Topokki pop up at various places so I was curious to try! Prices are pretty fair. I ordered the bulgogi kimbap ($10 ish) and the slushie shikye ($4 ish). Luckily it didn't take too long for the order to be completed. I got the shikye pretty immediately. It is definitely a rock solid slushie. It was pretty sweet in my opinion, which I might have to pass next time. The bulgogi kimbap was pretty good! The ingredients were pretty fresh and the kimbap size was pretty sizeable. It's a bit more bland than I thought, but it was very subtle. I did enjoy it though! Solid snack spot for decent pricing.
I needed a quick bite that would fit in my calorie deficit so I decided on ordering the spicy bulgogi kimbap. The order came out very fast. The pork was spicy and the veggies were refreshing! For the price and what you get, it's not a bad value. There is lots of seating in the food court. They also give plenty of napkins which I loved.
Love the Source's food court and the fact that they have 2 different food courts on different floors. I've actually gone to this Jaws Topokki location before a closer one opened in Haven City market for me, but they're both solid locations and Jaws is a solid Korean franchise for getting kimbap and topokki among other things. Since it's in a food court, you just order, at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and when your food is ready, you can grab it to go. Love the marketing they have for Jaws. Cute puns and shark theme. I didn't get to take a picture of it, but they gave us a red plastic shark fin to help tear apart any of the packaging and boxes. Good stuff and useful too. Can definitely use it as a weaker letter opener later on. For our quick meal that day since we had plans later, we got spam kimbap which was loaded with all of the fixings (carrot egg, cucumber, radish, etc) and had a strong delicious sesame taste to it, definitely dip it into your topokki sauce for more flavor, their rose topokki with cheese (rich and spicy but not too hot and the added creaminess made it delicious, comes with topokki with the perfect texture, fish cakes, and much more), solid for the price, tempura, also great while dipping in the topokki sauce, and blood sausage, which is just okay to me, but a big hit with everyone else. We ordered a set meal, so keep that in mind if you want to save some money and bundle up your meal. A solid choice for if you're at The Source food court.
Finding truly great tteokbokki in oc/la is surprisingly difficult, even though we're living in one of the meccas of Korean cuisine. Jaws Topokki has quickly become my go-to spot for takeout tteokbokki. I ordered the combo, which comes with soondae and fried tempura. The soondae was bomb. It tasted just as good as what you'd get at the best soondae spots in LA. The tteokbokki was also very solid. I went with medium spice, and it was genuinely very spicy, so definitely be careful with the spice levels if you're sensitive to heat. The food was ready on time with good packaging. Regarding portion size, I've seen mixed reviews, but I thought the portions were generously big, easily enough for two people to share.
Jaws Topokki's L-pop demon hunters panel got our attention. Their topokki menu was intriguing as I am only used to having rice cake in topokki. We ordered spicy topokki and beef gimbap. Both were delicious. As topokki has a lot of ingredients, it was more interesting but even if we shared both dishes, I did get a bit bored by the mochi texture as it didn't absorb the flavors like noodles. Really still feel like this dish was worth trying. Tips - if you can eat a piece of gimbap in one bite so it won't fall apart. This happens with Japanese futomaki too but it just goes all over the place. Since they flavor gimbap with sesame oil, it is nice we didn't need to dip it in soy sauce. The food court's tables are a bit worn out. The chairs are fine. If the weather is nice, it might be better to eat out in the patio as the atmosphere is nicer there. Restrooms are so close and the parking was free. Overall our quick visit was pleasant and would love to come back to this food court or this mall in general!
Tried Jaws Toppoki through Uber Eats and was honestly surprised by how good it was. Their rose tteokbokki had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. It was not too spicy, which I appreciate since my spice tolerance is pretty low. Loved the addition of the egg and fish cake too. We also ordered a side of tempura, and the batter was nice and crisp. My husband got the blood sausage and said it was good (I didn't try it since I don't eat that), but he enjoyed it. Overall, really solid delivery food.
Haven't had jaws since the pandemic. Kind of forgot about it, but decided to grab tteokbokki for lunch. Ordered a large, regular spicy tteokbokki and a side of tofu kimbap. Since we came on a weekday, there was no line. The food still took 15ish minutes to come out. I was so hungry! When the food finally came out, I was happy with the portion and flavor. Everything tasted fresh, making the wait worthwhile. Not sure if I'm just getting old, but the regular spicy was really spicy for me. It was still so so good, but I may have to tone it down to mild next time. I'll probably come back again on a weekday, as I've already seen how long the lines get on the weekends.
Jaws is a good reliable place to grab a casual, affordable lunch. It is located in the third floor food court at The Source. I would argue that it's one of the better places to eat at The Source. The kimbap and tteokbokki are decent. I really like the sikhye slush. Refreshing, icy, and delicious rice flavor. Service is quick.
This is located in the food court upstairs at the source. They only do to-go orders so our food came in boxes but we just sat at a table in the food court to eat Spicy rice cakes, mild: 5/5. I liked this a lot. I think it already says this on the menu but definitely expect a bit of spice with this even though it's mild. My friend is bad with spice and barely ate this Bulgogi kimpbap: 4/5. I liked this but didn't think it was anything crazy. I did like that there wasn't too much rice though

My gimbaps were good! I usually like Japanese sushi rolls better than the Korean ones but these were made well and had crunchy textures and pickled flavors. Situated in the Source's 4th floor food court, it's a pretty busy Korean eatery and they have some good deals for set meals with soups, tempura, and gimbaps. Prices are pretty affordable also - my shrimp tempura gimbap was $10. It's open seating cafeteria style and there are several tables inside and outside. For a quick tasty Korean meal, this is a solid place!
Just had the bulgogi kimpap, but it was pretty good and I'd get it again. Veggies were crispy and the bulgogi had a good sauce. It came out quick but was probably more expensive than I had expected. The whole eating experience was nice and clean, definitely would recommend it.
Located on the third floor food court. Rose topokki (spicy): Sauce is more on the watery side. Plenty of topokki, fish cake. It's pretty big dish even though the to go size looks small. I would estimate to share with friends because there is a generous amount of topokki. Signature gimbap: Pretty standard gimbap. I like how the roll is intact with the amount of rice that's in the roll. There's a good amount of toppings distributed in the roll.

Love this place cuz it's consistent. I come here whenever I want a small bite and can't really decide on what to eat. It's in a food court so there's plenty of seating. I always get my food really quick after ordering and the staff is nice. read more
since overflo is gone now my friend and i decided to check out the food court for some tteokbokki and stumbled upon Jaws Topokki! we got the rose tteokbokki with the gimbap! the food was ready in about 10-15 minutes which was really fast tbh! rose tteokbokki was like a 8/10! honestly wouldve been a 10/10 but i think there was too much creamer or milk added so it tasted a bit bland but still really good! and the portion size is sooo good for the price! also the gimbap was good you cant really go wrong wit that! would definitely come back again! read more

The portions were large! Split the food amongst 4 people and each of was satisfied Rose Topokki Soup/로제 국물떡볶이 with added fish cake was creamy and also had dumplings in it - delicious. Gimbap Bento Box 바르다 김선생 도시락 (One free Bottle Water) had a great variety of items- Tuna Gimbap, salad, fishcakes, kimchi, bulgogi, sweet potato Finally the fish Assorted Fish Cake Soup/ 모듬 어묵탕 haddifferent types of fishcake. We were walking around the busy food court and stopped by for a quick snack. The Bareun Gimbap was their signature and I have to say, the ingredients were fresh! And the pieces were pretty big and filling. After paying, they give you a ringer and it did take a long time for our order to be ready. When we checked up on it, it was just sitting on the counter lol but other than that there's so many good places at The Source and I would come back to try their other items. read more
Solid option in the Source food court. I've been here a couple times now and have been impressed each time! Their tteokboki is pretty solid. It's not gourmet by any means, it's food court food, but it gets the job done. You get a good amount of food for the price though, easily shareable with a few people. I really like their deep fried set as well. Service is good. Located in the top floor food court which has a busy atmosphere. Music is a little loud so maybe not the best place if you want to have a relaxing time. read more

I ordered the Sikhye slushie and the bulgogi gimbap. I LOVE sikhye so I was excited to try the slushy. It did not disappoint! It was super refreshing to have on a hot day so I will definitely be ordering it again. The bulgogi gimbal is a classic and these were really big! It is located in the food court so it does get a little loud in there and hard to find a table. But people come and go so it is possible to find a seat. OVERALL : I've been a fan of Jaws Topokki for yearsssss and the food is consistently good throughout their LA, Buena Park, and Irvine Hmart food court locations! They're a fast casual Korean shop with a fairly simple menu of all the classic Korean Street Food favorites like gimbap, tteokbokki, fish cakes, fried seaweed rolls, and fish cake soup. Ingredients are fresh and there's options for you whether you want a whole meal or just a small snack. There's even a keto gimbap option if you're on a diet! PARKING : Located in the Source OC in Buena Park, there is a parking structure that you can park in before heading into the actual shopping center! Jaws Topokki is in the 3rd food court next to Gongcha. FOOD/DRINKS : - Rosé Topokki w/ Ramen add-on -- I usually get the normal red topokki but I wanted to try the rose today! It was creamy and had a rich, slightly sweet flavor. Super addicting esp with the ramen added on! Good amount of perfectly chewy rice cakes, fish cakes, and bacon too. - Deep Fried Set - sweet potato, shrimp, squid, seaweed roll, dumpling - Pork Cutlet Gimbap -- always tightly wrapped so it does not fall apart; love the crunch of the fresh veg! My first time trying their pork cutlet bc I always get the original or shrimp gimbap. Quick and decent snack option at the Source. I got the pork katsu gimbap here and it was pretty good. The gimbap seemed like it was freshly rolled and I liked the contrast of the crispy katsu to the crunchy vegetables. I wasn't the biggest fan of the katsu sauce though. I wish it was less tangy since it was a bit too strong. I also tried one of my friend's squid rings and it was decent as well. There were samples of tteokbokki up front, but when I tried it I felt like they weren't of the best quality. It seemed watery and not as flavorful. The tteok themselves had a decent texture. Ordering here is pretty easy and they give you a buzzer to pick up your food when it's ready. This food stand is located on the top floor of the Source inside the food court. read more

The flavor and everything and spice were well balanced and delicious! The spice was spicy! The gimbaps are yummy and fresh. The slushies were refreshing. The fish cake soup was light and comforting. I wanted something quick while at the Source, so I figure I give this place a try. I ordered tteobokki and mixed of sausage place. The food was good but nothing out of ordinary. I asked for spicy but there is no spicy at all. Wonder if they forgot and make it mild. The fish cake topping was hard to chew. They give you salt for sausage dipping so it wasn't satisfying. The blood sausage also taste a little more chewy for my taste. It also does take a while to get your order. Overall, I would eat it again but wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Ordered the spicy Friend set with some pork cutlet kimbap on the side. The ddukbokki was good. It was pretty spicy too. I wish the sauce was a bit thicker as it was kind of more on the watery side. The kimbap was also good - the pork katsu inside was nice and crunchy even though it was wrapped up. The deep fried set was also crispy and tasty. All in all, it wasn't exceptional but everything was still pretty solid. read more

We came here at the Source's food court to satisfy my cravings for tteok-bokki (spicy rice cakes). My friend told me about this place, which is one of her favorite places for tteok-bokki and this place did not disappoint! You order at the cashier, they give you a buzzer to let you know when food is ready. We ordered the rose tteok-bokki, tuna kimbap, soondae (Korean sausage/intestine). The spicy rice cakes were soft and chewy, and came with delicious fish cakes and bacon bits. The tuna kimbap was filling, I just wish there were more pieces for the order. The soondae was good too. Honestly, everything tasted great! Overall, prices are decent, credit cards are accepted, and there's plenty of parking (structure) since it's at the mall read more

A quick easy lunch spot in the food court at The Source. This was my first time having kimbap with pork cutlet. The pork cutlet didn't really taste fresh. But was still alright because the pickled vegetables in the roll made up for it. read more

I had a disappointing experience with the staff at Jaws Tteokbokki at The Source Mall in Buena Park last Saturday. I paid extra to upgrade to rosé tteokbokki, but it was missing bacon. The staff said they had run out, but did not inform me before serving the food. When I asked about a refund for the missing ingredient, the cashier insisted the price was the same regardless and refused to refund the extra charge. In addition, the fried items were extremely hard & burnt as if they had been refried or sitting out too long, and were not edible.it seems like too old one Instead of trying to resolve the issue, he continued arguing and said it was not his fault. This situation could have been handled much more professionally. The receipt lists the cashier name as "Danny," but I am not sure if that was the employee who assisted me. read more

I came here to eat dinner today and got the combo set. It was soo delicious because I chose the rose toppoki!! I also got the side order with the fried potato and squid appetizers where you dip it in the sauce. I also loved the korean rice drinks..called shikhye!! I loved eating here because I added cheese was still hot on the rose toppoki. Another item i added was the fish cake soup along with the soondae side dish!!! Ill definitely try it again and get their other dishes like..the regular rice cakes :) the people who worked here were so kind and generous to explain everything on the menu for me . But the highlight of my dinner was the keto Kimbap and the Bulgogi Kimbap!!! Loved this korean street food restaurant at the source mall!! read more
One id my go to places at the source and it looks like they have been adding more items to the menu and the wait line was not too bad comparing last couple times I went (but also the food court was not too busy). Got a signature gimbap and a medium fried items and everything tasted good and fresh! read more

No it takes them a while to close and clean the kitchen because they sanitize the whole store every single night to prepare for the next day
