The restaurant is located in a small retail shopping center, but the accessibility isn't ideal due to its position at a busy intersection. The atmosphere could definitely use some improvement--a few food photos were simply propped up against the wall near the entrance, and the reception area felt a bit chaotic. Overall, the space didn't feel particularly warm or inviting for customers. We ordered takeout, and while the 순대국 (blood sausage soup) was excellent and tasted authentic, the 모듬순대 (assorted blood sausages) with three different types was a bit disappointing. The 왕순대 (large sausage) had a slightly chewy skin, and the others felt too moist, lacking the right texture. It felt like it was just 2% short of being great.

Small Korean place that's kinda cozy but super casual. Lots of people coming in and out for pickup orders, which makes it hard to enjoy dining in tbh. Gets pretty busy at the counter! Been here twice for their soondae (Korean blood sausage). The assorted soondae plate is really good - nice chewy texture and they make it fresh. Love how they add veggies! Also tried their spicy pork Makchang but wasn't a fan. The sauce was too sweet and the pork smell was slightly off. Parking's easy since it's in a small strip mall. Will definitely order their Soondae again!

If you're on the hunt for authentic Korean cuisine, this unassuming Soondae spot is an absolute gem. Atmosphere: Nothing fancy, just a cozy spot with ample seating. Perfect for a chill meal with friends. Food: The Soondae is the real deal--packed with authentic flavors. Sides like kimchi and ggakdugi complement it well. One of the rare places to offer gogi soondae on top of your traditional chapssal soondae so it's truly an experience. They also gave us a free side of soup as well as service! Service: Friendly and efficient, the staff here knows their Soondae inside out. Similar service one would get at any immigrant-owned place. Value: Reasonable prices for the quality and quantity you receive. You won't break the bank here, which is a welcome surprise considering the authenticity and flavor-packed offerings.

The perfect mom and pop shop for soondae. I find it really hard to come across good authentic soondae shops, however, I will always be coming back here. I have been coming to this shop since childhood, and they have never failed to impress me with their amazing quality and great service. Such a great place to go especially during the colder months, as it is such a heartwarming dish. They have a large variety on their menu, and many side dishes that come with each dish. I highly recommend the chapssal soondae!!

Abbaee's was a decent grab of korean food. They specialize in soondae, but also serve up some other menu items like cold noodles (which was okay). I recommend buying the staple item of a restaurant that has the name of the menu on it (soondae). Parking is plentiful, seating is plentiful!

Jokbal - Large Size (already ate a few slices before taking the pic) loved every bite

This is a good place to go when you want to satisfy your craving for some jokbal. Any korean living in oc knows it's kind of hard to find a decent place that sells good jokbal. I'd say Abbaee Wang Soondae is an acception. Try it!

Best Soon Dae in OC. Soon Dae, Soondae gook, and Jokbal is both legit. Soondae is chewy and soft in texture and flavorful.

I have tried abbaee soondae about 30 years ago in Korea. And I feel it is almost same taste. I will go back. Just little bit pricey for me.

We didn't wait too long, but by the time we were leaving around 9 there were a lot of people waiting. We were seated at the outside patio area and we had a beautiful view of the sunset. Our order was taken quickly and our drinks came out right away. We got the ice blended drinks with muscat (rice wine grape) and yogurt, both were REALLY good. These 2 were sharable and a good amount for 9 people. The food also came out quickly and everything came at the same time! My favorite is probably the stir fried pork belly, especially with the stir fried kimchi and garlic. I also really liked the rose tteokbokki. It was super creamy and had a nice kick to it. It came with rice cakes, fish cakes, 1 boiled egg, pieces of bacon, ramen noodles, and 1 sausage. In total our bill was around $350 for 9 people which is not bad for the quality of the food, quick service, and nice dinner view.

I can see why this is a popular dish especially when it's hot outside! I thought I was going to be tasting something that tasted cold and unfinished but it's extremely delicious. Very refreshing. The "cold" part is more than just cold broth and chilled noodles. The broth is actually more of a slush! A brothy slush! All the elements worked so well together. I wish we ordered two of these so that I didn't have to share lol. Service was great. Friendly and attentive. Refills happened without asking despite how busy the place was. Not only was I completely stuffed by the end, but every course felt so thoughtfully selected that I left feeling truly nourished within my body and soul. We ordered the Premium Han-Jeongsik, which featured a non-stop parade of incredible small plates: porridge, salad, radish water kimchi, spicy beef tartare, pan-fried sliced beef, braised short ribs, glass noodles with assorted vegetables, savory pancakes, seasonal scallops, and a rich kimchi stew. The dining experience felt wonderfully elegant as each course was brought out sequentially, allowing us to fully savor every unique flavor and texture. To top it off, they finished with my favorite sweet rice punch to cleanse the palate.
