When I walked in, the staff was hard at work making and packaging a huge order for an event, so it took a little while before I could place my order. Luckily, I saw the Spam Kimbap and Family Kimbap already packaged and ready to go, so I was quick to grab those! I also love that they wrap their kimbap in foil--it feels so nostalgic and reminds me of the way kimbap is traditionally packed for picnics and outings. Once the staff finished up the large order, I was also able to order the Spicy Squid Kimbap and Tuna Kimbap. My favorites were definitely the Family Kimbap and Spicy Squid Kimbap. The Family Kimbap is your classic kimbap filled with egg, carrots, spinach, yellow radish, and imitation crab. Simple, but so good! The Spicy Squid Kimbap definitely had a kick to it, and I especially loved the chewy texture and flavor of the seasoned dried squid. The Spam and Tuna Kimbap were good as well, but the Family and Spicy Squid were the standouts for me. Each kimbap also comes with a complimentary cup of fish cake broth (sans the actual fish cake), which is such a nice addition. And I really loved their tteokbokki! The sauce wasn't overly sweet or too spicy--and the rice cakes had that perfect chewy, bouncy texture. They were also very generous with the fish cakes, which I appreciated. I'm definitely coming back whenever my kimbap and tteokbokki cravings hit!

This time, my husband picked some up and brought it home, so I finally got to try it. It was really good! He said it was around $24, which I thought was pretty reasonable too. I'm really happy to have a good kimbap spot near our house now. The kimbap was delicious, the price was reasonable, and I'd definitely recommend this place!

The food here is amazing packed full of flavor and sides are so delicious. My only warning is the soybean soup is a bit on the salty end. I highly recommend this place if you are craving Korean food that has different flavoring compared to the overly spicy normal.

Had one today after long absence and it may be the worst bibim nengmyun I've had in all Cali. It was bland, mostly vinegar and beefy taste in broth/sauce. Perhaps it's due to it being portioned extremely small amount of sauce where most of noodles looked naked. It also lacked the signature crushed ice bath in the sauce that adds the cooling effect to the spicy taste. No such ice nor good sauce to make it the experience in warm summer. Service was great and dining area clean. But not coming back for just great smiles and warm service. Yoo's Place across street may have THE best nengmyun in OC.

The batter on the chicken was perfect, the katsu had a good crunch to it. It paired really nicely with the curry. The curry was super flavorful as well & the food came out fast. Everything about this meal reminded me of my trip to Japan.

The katsu had the perfect batter, an amazing crunch, and meat that was somehow crispy on the outside while still ridiculously juicy. They also have their own house made katsu sauce, and that sauce definitely understood the assignment. The soba noodles were perfect for a hot day. They came served over ice to keep them cold and fresh, which was exactly what I needed. The dipping sauce was also amazing, especially because you can customize it with however much wasabi, green onion, and ginger your heart desires. Basically, they let you build your own level of sinus damage. This place is small, simple, and focused on making really good food. While I have to admit some of the original dishes didn't taste quite as good as I remembered, I decided to branch out and try a few of the new specials. The rotating monthly specials are a great idea and honestly a smart marketing move because they give you a reason to keep coming back and trying something new. From now on, I'll probably be ordering from the specials menu every visit. Overall, even though a few of the classics didn't quite hit the same, the new menu makes this place worth returning to.

They have no sit down areas, aside from a bench by the entrance, which is likely for the scenario if they happen to run out of the item you'd like to order and you have to wait for it to be made on the spot. The food: I felt really comfortable ordering here, since all the items are adequately labeled, so I was able to tell which items are vegan and which contained fish sauce or other seafood items and I was unable to have them. This was also super helpful for my friend who had a gluten intolerance, among other dietary restrictions that usually make it difficult for us to dine out together, since the two of us combined cannot eat many things on a typical menu. The floor to ceiling fridges were well stocked with many different types of kimchi, various types of proteins, and other typical banchans you'll see at the local Korean supermarket, but I do think there was a lot more diverse items than the norm. It's not easy finding vegetarian options at Korean spots, so I was happy to see a protein option (tofu) was at least fully vegan. I opted for two vegan kimbaps and a side of braised tofu. My friend picked out one of their sweet rice cakes and a tuna kimbap. Everything was flavorful, well seasoned, and not overly oily or salty, so I would certainly come back for the ease of choosing what I wanted very conveniently. Overall, service was polite, and our food came out within ten minutes, since they happened to run out of the vegan kimbap. Everything else: They do take credit card, and there is ample parking in a shared plaza, although I remember it being rather busy during the dinner rush. The storefront is on the smaller side so it felt rather cramped inside.

The fried chicken was ok. Mostly bones and batters. Very sweet seasoning. The dumplings were ok. Was it worth the $100 something hassle? Absolutely not.
