I've been here many times, so I'm writing this honestly as a regular customer. We ordered the meat combo this time, but the quality was really disappointing. In this area, there are so many good Korean BBQ places that good meat quality should honestly be the minimum standard. The meat had almost no real beef flavor, and the condition of the meat didn't look very fresh either. Even the side dishes felt incomplete, like they were prepared halfway and just put out quickly. I usually enjoy coming here, but today's experience was honestly one of the worst visits I've had. I'm only giving this rating because the staff was still friendly. I think the sauces really need some improvement... the food would be much better with better-made sauces.

Came here for dinner on a weekday and ordered regular dishes outside of KBBQ. Upon arrival was greeting by Korean aunties and seated immediately. Menu was in English/Korean so ordering wasn't a problem. Majority of the tables had KBBQ grilling and I wasn't feeling that so ordered the pancake, cold noodle dinner combo (cold noodle + LA Galbi) Food Every dish was prepped very well starting from the banchan. There was I believe an eggplant banchan that I really enjoyed. The fruit and potato salad was very refreshing and delicious. Everything else was pretty good but those two definitely stood out. Seafood pancake came out next, and it was delicious. Crispy outside skin, soft fluffy batter inside with plenty of seafood and green onions. Cold needles and Galbi came next and it was the perfect combo. Added in some hot mustard and a little vinegar and the flavor was perfect. I had dental work done recently so my tooth were sensitive after the ice cold noodles, but I couldn't stop eating! Service was extremely friendly, aunties refilled water and banchan without having to ask. Constantly checked up on me to ensure I was enjoying my meal. I couldn't finish all the food so they even packed it up for me. Overall an amazing experience!

Hands down, one of the best Korean restaurants in SoCal. I always order the same things: Salted pork ribs, Dongchimi noodles, and Beef intestine casserole. If you've never been here before and have 3,4 people to eat with you, just copy this exact order and thank me later. This place is no frills and serves authentic Korean food with authentic Korean service and vibes.

The food here is awesome. What stands out most is there salt, pork ribs but everything is delicious.. The service is friendly and fast and if you're getting Korean barbecue at the table, they help cook it for you. Nice open restaurant in plenty of room for small or large group groups.

I've been to Kote Dae Ji for BBQ before, and recently discovered their weekday lunch special--what a great find! Perfect for anyone working nearby. Lunch Special only $19.99 Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM 1 Choose one meat + 2 Choose one cold noodle The value here is incredible--both your stomach and wallet will thank you! The lunch portion is slightly smaller than the regular order, but it's still plenty filling, especially since the side dishes are refillable! Must-try: their signature Pork Ribs! So tender and flavorful, the meat falls right off the bone. Highly recommended for a tasty, satisfying, and affordable lunch break. Will definitely be back!

Perfect comfort food in town. One of the longest standing Korean restaurant in Fullerton. The best in town white noodle in cold broth called DongChiMe best is OC and LA. All other food like the Korean BBQ is great also. A must try if you are in town. Been coming here for over 20 years since they opened. The salted pork is one of personal favorites here.

    Best Dongchimi Noodles.

I love this place . The best Donchimi noodles and you have to get the salt and pepper pork ribs!! The dongchimi noodles has such a rich and good broth. Truly sooo good. The server was so nice too. She was so kind and funny. She made the experience so nice.!!

I had my doubts about this place because of the reviews, but I forgot all about them while eating the food. It spoke for itself. We ordered the medium premium meat combo A, which was meant for 3 people and it was pretty accurate in terms of portion. It came with brisket; prime ribeye, prime boneless short rib, and marinated bone-in short rib. For our sides, we chose the kimchi stew, steamed egg, and corn cheese. The waitress cooked everything for us, and perfectly might I add, where the meat had some char without being overcooked. I was surprised by how tender and good quality the meat was. The kimchi stew wasn't our favorite but the steamed egg and corn cheese were gone quickly. This restaurant is definitely popular among the locals and I could see why. The service was also great and they came by quickly to assist us.

Saw this restaurant from a TikToker giving rave reviews, so my wife and I decided to check it out today. We ordered the small pork combo, which came with beef brisket, pork belly, and marinated boneless beef short ribs. I also got the spicy cold noodles on the side. The brisket and pork belly were decent -- medium quality but nothing to rave about. The marinated beef short ribs, however, were disappointing. They had no flavor and were very bland. The cold noodles were also flavorless; I had to ask for extra sauce just to get some taste. Service was okay at best. They started off by cooking the meat for us, but then forgot about us completely, letting the grill pan burn. I ended up cooking the rest of the meat myself. Throughout the meal, we had to keep asking for refills on water and side dishes because no one checked in on us. After eating here, I now understand why the Yelp rating is only around three stars. I honestly don't get why that TikToker gave such rave reviews. Definitely not planning to come back.

    Beef Combo menu

Our family of 4 with 11yo girl and 8yo boy had Medium size beef combo, and the portion was more than enough. The brisket with veggies was so good, the short rib was very good, too. Our server was very nice and friendly, too. Very satisfying dinner overall!!

To start off, the waitress serving us was so kind, funny and welcoming. We came here after seeing a bunch of videos on the place and were so glad we did. We ended up getting the soy pork ribs that they grill in front of you and it was phenomenal. Loved the marinade and the charcoal-grilled flavor. The banchan was also delicious as well!

The food here is sooo good. My go-to order is the dongchimi kooksoo and the soy sauce pork ribs. I usually just get the combo. I also love all the tasty banchan they give and how kind the servers always are. The ambiance is nice and spacious with plenty of seating, making it a great spot to come with big groups.

I will say the service is pretty slow, I'd keep that in mind especially if you're looking for a quick meal. The menu was a little difficult to tell what the difference between the options were. I wasn't sure what really went into the premium gomtang aside from the fact that it was a combo of meats. I will say that mine was very tendon heavy, so if that's not your preference, I'd lean away from the premium gomtang. My partner liked his yukgaejang. The banchan was good, but I did feel like the kimchi was purposefully on the saltier side as to complement the gomtang. Overall, solid place and would return.

I walked in and noticed they do have limited tables. I wouldn't say this is a big group kind of place. Luckily for us, we were a party of 4. I looked at the menu over and over and couldn't really decide what to order. I had the dilemma of trying to feed my kids. So of course something not spicy and some carbs. I ordered the fries and honestly they were a miss. I didn't like that dirty oil flavor on it. I also did the cheese balls expecting some cheese full, but that again was a little mochi like in texture with no cheese pulls and dusted with a sweet cheese powder. It's an acquired taste. Those are some of the ehhh dishes. However the star of the show were the boneless chicken. We did their ddeok bokki mala flavor. Dang, that thing hits! It's very spicy, but in a good strong salty and spicy flavoring. It's also not too runny like other ddeok bokki's I've had in the past. I was thoroughly surprised by that dish. Now back to the boneless chicken, just be extra careful on your first bite. It's oozing with juices and piping hot. I had to open a few ahead of time to peel the meat for my children. They loved it. Now, pro tip, I would order the original again and order a side of the flaming sauce. That was super sweet and spicy. The perfect compliment to the crunchy texture. I also ordered a side of the boned in wings and had the soy spicy flavor. That was really tasty. I would order beer next time bc these flavors were bold and needed a cold beer to cool down the heat. Now, the thing that impressed me the most were the crunch on every single piece of chicken. They are by far one of the most inquire flavors and texture combination I tried. One thing, that made me say, hey I'll come back here again, was their workers. My son accidentally dropped the fork and like a few parents, we would just pick it up and wipe it off and use it again. I know, not everyone will do that. If you have a toddler they can drop that fork like 4 times sometimes. Anyways, the waiter noticed that and quickly brought us a clean new fork. That's some fine dining detail that I have never experienced in a small restaurant before. Kudos for the wait staff on that. One item for improvement is to offer some carb options like rice or noodles. I know it's more bar or finger food, but can't really serve Asian food without rice.

For 2 moderately hungry people there was plenty of food with one of the Small combos--the beef combo came with a nice selection of meats, all really good quality tasting. The cheese steamed egg is probably what catches most peoples' eyes; I will say it tasted a lot more like I was eating a cheese omelette than a usual steamed egg at KBBQ as the cheese sort of overpowers the subtlety of the silky eggs that normally are center stage. It was tasty, but just don't expect quite the same thing as usual! Overall the inside is really nice looking and the service was very fast and attentive; very classy wood design in all the seating. Juk is known for its creamy texture, nutrient density, and the thoughtful use of ingredients, and Bonjuk delivers exactly that experience. Bonjuk offers an impressive range of classic juk varieties, including samgyejuk (ginseng chicken porridge), jeonbokjuk (abalone porridge), hobakjuk (pumpkin porridge), and patjuk (red bean porridge). Their menu also includes beef vegetable, beef mushroom, beef seaweed, tuna vegetable, salmon vegetable, seafood, shrimp, octopus kimchi, oyster mushroom, vegetable, and plain rice porridges. Prices range from $15.95 to $29.95, depending on ingredients. Each juk order comes with complimentary sides: dongchimi (water kimchi), soy-braised beef, spicy squid, and kimchi. Every side dish is delicious, and additional portions are available for just $2 each, which is a great value. For to-go orders, the juk is packed in a tightly sealed plastic container, accompanied by the side dishes, plastic spoons, and chopsticks--secure, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. I ordered the four most popular juk options to-go: samgyejuk, jeonbokjuk, hobakjuk, and patjuk. There was a small mix-up, and I received two patjuks instead of the hobakjuk. I was initially disappointed, but that feeling quickly faded. The patjuk was perfectly prepared--thick, creamy, silky smooth, earthy, and mildly sweet. My family had no trouble enjoying a second serving. All three juk varieties we tried were excellent. The homemade broths used in most of the porridges deliver a deep, savory umami flavor, and each bowl is consistently thick, creamy, and deeply comforting. Many Koreans still believe in juk's nutritional and medicinal benefits, particularly for soothing the digestive system and balancing Qi energy--and after trying the porridges here, it is easy to understand why. I highly recommend Bonjuk for anyone seeking authentic Korean porridge. Juk has deep cultural roots in Korea and symbolizes care, healing, and nourishment, and Bonjuk honors that tradition beautifully. This location is inside the Super1 Hannam Chain market. Service is friendly, and the restaurant is very clean and well-maintained.

Like most Korean stew spots, they offer fried rice made with the leftover broth, and honestly, that ended up being the highlight.
