    Jok- bal
    Yumi M.

Best Jokbal I ever had in LA and Orange County. Perfectly marinated! I love other side dishes from here. I am glad that this store is conveniently located. Strongly recommend to this store for any working moms who don't wanna make ban-chan at home. Tasty

I was looking for a place that could prepare lunch for my son's preschool birthday, and they were amazing! They kindly customized kid bento boxes for us, and the kids loved them! Service and quality 5/5!

Our family loves the soups and Korean side dishes here! It's the perfect spot for a busy working mom like me -- everything tastes homemade and comforting. Most dishes are excellent, but my favorites are the Short Ribs Soup and Korean-style Donkatsu. The marinated meats are also really good. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, home-style Korean food!

    Japchae

Sister Jipbob offers pre-made side dishes, lunch boxes, and frozen food like marinated meats and stews. I came specifically for the lunch boxes. The japchae was delicious! A little pricier than places like Super 1 Mart or HMart but good portion size, about enough for two people. Excellent service, too. I asked for a cup of water and they offered to put plum syrup in it (at no cost) which was delicious. This is more of a to-go place so there isn't really anywhere to eat inside, but there is a table outside. I'll definitely come back to try their ban chan!

Better than my mom's! Meal kits are just so convenient and good, my favorite is budae jjigeh. Best time to visit is 10-11am, all hot and fresh lunches also come available

A go to for restaurant quality Korean meals to heat up during the week. Their fried pork ribs are unique and sells out.

They blocked off parking. I went in circles and no parking during their business hours. I called the number and no one picked up.

Soy garlic was my favorite, it's an absolute must order, packed with flavor. They also have an AYCE pricing available as an option. Went on a Friday night around 9pm and thankfully it wasn't crazy busy at the time I went. Bulgogi tacos were really good, soft and moist! The soju paired so well with the chicken, zero sugar and very refreshing. Going to go searching for the soju in store now because I've never had this brand before & really loved it. The workers were so sweet. Highly recommended and will be returning for more delicious chicken!

There is a small lot out front for parking, and I suspect you can park on the street when the lot fills up. We happened to come by during the Korea vs. Mexico game, and understandably, the place gets packed, with a line forming outside. We somehow beat the rush by about 30 minutes and were seated at a table as soon as we entered. We also realized then that they didn't have the all-you-can-eat option, so we ended up ordering the chicken wings, their version of loaded fries, and steamed rice. We also placed the order via the QR code. We had our drinks delivered to our table shortly afterward. The food, however, was taking a long time to get to our table. It may have been a combination of the FIFA World Cup and a staff shortage, but when we were there, there was only 1 kitchen staff member and 1 wait staff member. The lady on the wait staff did everything from serving food to accepting new customers and topping off water for all the tables. A wall separates the restaurant; there is a front room and an inside room, and both rooms had televisions broadcasting the game. The food itself was decent for the price that they charge. The chicken wings came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. They have some options for different wing flavors. The fries were also delicious and well-fried. I hope the restaurant invests in more wait staff because there were times we needed something from the wait staff. Seeing how busy she was, or sometimes she's just in the front room, we haven't seen her in a while to get whatever we needed. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere is very unique; it's definitely a nice place to get some Korean street food when you're in the area. The only things to note are that parking is limited, food will take a while to cook as it is made fresh, and there will be some waiting to be done if you need wait staff. Last thing to note: I love that they had some Korean Fusion dishes, and I wish I had a bigger stomach to try these as well during our visit, perhaps another time!

GELO is one of the best servers I have had! He was so attentive and accommodating and his bright personality made our day. Bonchon variety is abundant but I really just wanted cucumber and kimchi. I have been coming here at least once a week, sometimes even more. I've always supported this restaurant, and I consistently tip my servers 20-30% because the servers have always worked hard and the service used to be amazing. Unfortunately, over the past couple of months, I've noticed a huge decline in the overall service and the way customers are treated. It really feels like something has changed with the management, because this is absolutely not the MR BBQ I've been loyal to for the last three years. Today was especially disappointing. I brought my family here to celebrate my brother's 21st birthday, and we were told the wait would be around 2 hours. I completely understand that restaurants get busy and that there is a waitlist. I wasn't demanding special treatment--I simply asked if there was anything they could do to possibly squeeze us in a little sooner since it was such a special occasion. I spoke with Luna and explained that it was my brother's 21st birthday and asked her to please see if there was anything she could do. Her attitude came across as very rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. There was no effort to make a longtime customer feel valued, no compassion, and not even a simple "let me see what I can do." The way the situation was handled made it feel like they simply did not care whether they lost our business. And that's the part that bothers me the most. I understand that being a regular customer doesn't mean I should be able to skip everyone else waiting. But after supporting a restaurant every single week for three years, you would hope to at least be treated with kindness and respect--especially when you're bringing your family there for an important celebration. Good management should recognize and appreciate loyal customers, not make them feel disposable. You can have great food, but when the hospitality and customer service start disappearing, eventually the loyal customers will disappear too. I have recommended MR BBQ to so many people over the years and have spent a significant amount of money here. I never thought I would be the person leaving them a negative review, but after watching the service continue to decline over the past few months and experiencing today's treatment, I felt like I needed to say something. The servers themselves have been a huge reason I've continued coming back, and many of them have always been wonderful. My frustration is with the direction the restaurant seems to be going under the current management and how loyal customers are being treated. After three years of being one of your most loyal customers, today genuinely made me question whether I ever want to come back. New management needs to understand that gaining customers is difficult, but losing loyal ones is very easy when you stop making them feel valued.
