    Jok- bal

Best Jokbal I ever had in LA and Orange County. Perfectly marinated! I love other side dishes from here. I am glad that this store is conveniently located. Strongly recommend to this store for any working moms who don't wanna make ban-chan at home. Tasty

I was looking for a place that could prepare lunch for my son's preschool birthday, and they were amazing! They kindly customized kid bento boxes for us, and the kids loved them! Service and quality 5/5!

Our family loves the soups and Korean side dishes here! It's the perfect spot for a busy working mom like me -- everything tastes homemade and comforting. Most dishes are excellent, but my favorites are the Short Ribs Soup and Korean-style Donkatsu. The marinated meats are also really good. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, home-style Korean food!

Sister Jipbob offers pre-made side dishes, lunch boxes, and frozen food like marinated meats and stews. I came specifically for the lunch boxes. The japchae was delicious! A little pricier than places like Super 1 Mart or HMart but good portion size, about enough for two people. Excellent service, too. I asked for a cup of water and they offered to put plum syrup in it (at no cost) which was delicious. This is more of a to-go place so there isn't really anywhere to eat inside, but there is a table outside. I'll definitely come back to try their ban chan!

Better than my mom's! Meal kits are just so convenient and good, my favorite is budae jjigeh. Best time to visit is 10-11am, all hot and fresh lunches also come available

A go to for restaurant quality Korean meals to heat up during the week. Their fried pork ribs are unique and sells out.

A shop that's clean and friendly. Everything is well marked. Great in every way. I got Kalbi, Bulgogee, and Cucumber and loved them all.

They blocked off parking. I went in circles and no parking during their business hours. I called the number and no one picked up.

5 stars I may be…read moreslightly biased, but this has been one of my favorite eats in OC since I was a child. Everything here is amazing and flavorful. I ordered - Kalguksu (with chicken broth) $17.99 : Portion size is very generous, the soup is so hearty and filling, especially on a cold day. The noodles are cooked perfectly and is topped with a generous amount of beef. My #1 recommendation from MDK. - Pork dumplings $17.99 : My favorite dumplings in all of OC. They are so incredibly juicy and flavorful and the thin wrapper helps bring out the flavors even more. The spicy kimchi here is also so yummy, the perfect balance of spicy and garlicky. I highly recommend you try it, even if you're not the biggest fan of kimchi. Overall, MDK has been here for years, and will always have a special place in my heart for the yummiest, heartiest foods.

Hama Hippo in Fullerton seriously hit the spot. We ordered the seafood pancake, tofu soup, and…read moregalbi and every single dish came out on point. The seafood pancake was one of the better ones I've had in the area. Crispy on the outside, packed with seafood, and not overly greasy. You still get that soft, savory inside with the green onion flavor coming through, and it pairs perfectly with the dipping sauce. The tofu soup came out boiling hot like it should, with a deep, comforting broth that had real flavor instead of just spice. The tofu was silky, the portion was generous, and it's the kind of dish that makes you slow down for a second because it's so satisfying. The galbi was the standout for me. Super tender, well marinated, and grilled with that slight char that gives it the smoky sweetness. It didn't need anything extra, but wrapping it with the banchan and rice made it even better. Speaking of banchan, they were fresh and kept coming without us having to ask. Service was quick and the food came out fast even though the place was busy. The whole restaurant has a fun, energetic vibe and feels like a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or a late night meal. Everything we ordered was solid and I'd come back specifically for the galbi and tofu soup again. Fullerton has a lot of options but this one is definitely worth putting into the regular rotation.

During other times I've visited, they left the door closed. The servers are friendly, and they recognize us. Like in times past, I really enjoyed the food. The dolsot bibimbap tasted great with its different components: rice crisped on a clay pot, gochujang, bulgogi, a fried egg, and different vegetables. We also shared the Korean fried chicken, which was delicious. It had a light and crisp texture with a lot of meat. The pickled radish accompanying the Korean fried chicken tasted good too. We had banchan, but there wasn't a need for refills. This is a solid Korean restaurant among many in the area, and I look forward to visiting again.

When I got inside, I still waited ~10 minutes for the order but the host/waitress at the front was kind. The meal came with rice, pickled red ginger, 2 potato croquettes and curry sauce on the side. The panko coating on the croquettes was so tasty! It was savory and a perfect coating to the fluffy potato. The croquettes are a good size too. They gave a fair amount of rice, it was cooked well and great with the delicious curry sauce on top. The curry sauce was standard and a bit on the thinner side, but still really tasty. I appreciated the pickled ginger as some freshness and balance to cut through the starchiness of the rest of the meal.
