Was craving Jjajangmyun so stopped for quick dinner. Kkampong shrimp was hot, fresh, and delicious. But the main item that I came for was a huge disappointment. It was cold/luke warm. My guess is that they have pot of precooked jjajang sauce and they just pour over the noodle before serving, as they do in food court. But it's not food court pricing here. Haven't been here for a few years, but mom was craving it so much, we decided to eat here. #5 - JJAMPONG Spicy seafood noodle This was really good! The spicy seafood broth was delicious! The noodles weren't overcooked and I enjoyed it overall. Shared this with my mom, but she ate it so quickly, I did not have much to eat. Whatever I could eat, I was happy. This is one of their popular dishes. It's a must-try! #14 - JAPCHAE BAP Vermicelli, veggies, and beef with white rice This dish was good too. Make sure you stir everthing together because the sauce was sitting at the bottom. Good flavor overall. Wished they cut the vermicelli noodles a bit. It was kinda hard to eat it. This dish would be perfect for lunch or for a late night dinner at home. This dish comes with a side of jjampong spicy soup. #37 - MANDU TWEEGIM (10 pcs) Fried pork and veggie dumplings This is an old-school style dumpling. It was crispy and served hot. This Korean Chinese fusion restaurant is such a hidden gem. I've been coming here for a few years as this is my mom's favorite place to eat around this neighborhood. The place itself is pretty small with only a few tables but luckily, I've never had to wait too long to be seated. My favorite dishes to order are chicken fried rice, spicy noodle soup (jjampong), black bean noodles (jjangmyun), sweet & sour pork, and the special stir-fried noodles. All their dishes are super flavourful and the portions are huge! I would say it's definitely worth the price. The noodle textures are just right and the pork comes out nice and crispy and they stack the whole dish with seafood (jjampong and special stir fried noodles). I'll continue to come to this place and definitely recommend it! read more

Yes I ate here twice in one week. I first had their lowest priced menu item $8.99 black bean noodles. The sauce is made in big batches and almost stewed. The noodles are perfect in size and texture (chewy and good). It comes with raw onion / vinegar w blk bean dip, then there is a house made soy sauce mixed pickle and sliced pickled daikon. The next visit I pigged out. I ordered their upgraded GAN CHA JJIANG - which is their blk bean noodles made to order. The onions are diced, the meat is leaner, it comes with a fried egg and cucumber garnish. I think I am happier with the $8.99 version. I also ordered something called JAP TANG BAP. It is a seafood stir fry with vegg. Very generous amt of seafood. The vegg consisted of sliced bamboo, bok choy, napa cabbage, red bell pepper, mushrooms (2 kinds), a bit of spinach and chives. Still hasn't changed. Definitely would not return. Hate to do this but rounding down now that I recall my prior experience... Do your yelp due diligence and search for local jja jjang... this is an option but not the best nor the most cost friendly for what you get. It's in a small nondescript plaza on Lincoln with 7.11, liquor store, and a small ghetto Lee's sandwich. Rally's is across the way. It seems to be a small and humble business ... and I would usually round up for these types of small business/ family owned establishments... but mleh.. i can't stand lack of humility/ attitude which brings me to bring the prior review down. Jjampong. Aka spicy seafood soup. Big portion. Lots of fun seafood... calamari rings, mussels, clams, shrimp, and a small crab that is more for show than consumption. Good spice level.. but something was missing in the soup flavor. Seemed heavy handed in the msg. But this is probably their best dish. Jjajangmyun. Aka black bean noodle. Same as before.. Not bad.. good chew to the noodle.. a little off on the sauce to noodle ratio.. but not too bad.. Tangsooyuk. Aka deep fried sweet and sour pork. The pork was desicated and very chewy. The sauce was pretty tasty.. good amount of veggies and tanginess to the sauce. But the dish was a miss for me.. the meat was just too dry even when dipped into the sauce. Sweet and sour fried shrimp. Palatable.. let's leave it at that House fried rice. Hard pass. Forgot that i ordered this in the past... super dry.. mostly old rice in heavy oil... very little protein to the rice ratio. Not a fan at all. Even my kids couldn't stomach this and not to mention it had some plastic served in the dish.. blue and clear plastic... thankfully I saw before I served to my family. 5 dishes hit just under $100. While i understand inflation.. small business.. covid etc.... that made me raise my eyebrow a bit. The process went up A LOT. Service was just as bad.. totally forgot that I had been here before pre covid.. and several years ago.. i didn't even mention the blue plastic I found in my food ... but they made a bit of a big deal about us taking our leftovers with the raddish that we already had on our table. Mind you... we didn't ask for NEW raddish... we were trying not to waste the food already eaten from. The lady made a face and turned her nose up to comment that they never let people take the left over reddish and onions to go. (That makes me wonder if they are reusing it? I mean what else are you going to do with the radish that we were already eating from?) The attitude and stand off almost rude response apparently is consistent with my prior review. Would not return or recommend unless you are absolutely desperate for jjanljang in the area.. there are a few better options heading back towards the 91/5 freeway. read more

Came here because wife likes this place- Their Jjambong is pretty good. Not as good as the ones in Korea but it's quite good. I don't eat Jjambong usually but this place's Jjambong is quite good. Tangsuyuk (fried pork) was also good. Nice portions- The price is a bit on the high side but the portions make it up. Service is nice. The restaurant can be cleaner but it's not that bad. Whenever I come back to SoCal, I always make sure to stop by this restaurant. While it is tucked away into an assuming corner right next to Knott's Berry Farm, locals and lovers of asian food in OC know this spot. Even the inside looks unassuming at first, but that's how you know a restaurant is good. It's usually always packed during dinner time, and the wait can be quite long on some days. Regardless, the servers are friendly and quick to take your order. The food comes in giant portions at inexpensive price points, and one dish is usually more than enough for sharing family-style. The dishes themselves are immaculate and unbelievably good. Pro tip is to come with a large group and order as much as you can to try all of their different menu items. Visiting from the east coast and stopped by this little gem as it was near the place I was staying. First thing I noticed is that they are busy. Busy taking phone orders, walk in to-go orders, and dine in as well. Busy = good. They have setupxl covid precautions and ask people to wait outside and sign in. They will bring in each party as tables become ready, and with ample distancing between seats. I've been here twice during my stay. The first time I orderes Gan Jjajang and Tang Soo Yook (sorry I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic). But everything was delicious. The Tang Soo Yook was hot and crispy and the sauce was a perfect amount of sweet and sour. The Gan Jjajang was also legit. No potatoes (this is a must) and richer in flavor than regular Jjajang Myun. I much prefer Gan Jjajang in general. The second visit I had Jjambong (white version) on a recommendation. I usually like spicy, but this was good. The soup was flavorful without being greasy or heavy. You can taste the seafood. Lastly the Sweet and Sour Shrimp was excellent as well crispy and the sauce had some depth to it. It'd hard to explain, most places have a generic sweet and sour sauce that just sugary and vinegary. But this sauce actually tasted like it had some spices or flavoring to it. All in all, I was thoroughly impressed and will be going back the next time I am in town. read more

I was craving Korean Spicy seafood noodles, (Jampong) when I was in the OC area one day, so we came in here. The Spicy seafood soup was delicious! The soup was so flavorful and rich as they cook it with crab. They give such generous portions of shrimps, squids, clams, mussels, and a quarter of the entire crab (minus the shell). 5 stars! We also ordered the black bean noodles (jajangmyun) with seafood but for what reason I don't know, brought us the regular one and split into 2 bowls. The black bean noodles were just ok, nothing spectacular. 3 stars! The shop is really small with about less than 10 small tables. Customer service was not all that as everyone was complaining about. They also not very good at taking orders so make sure to ask them repeat what you ordered. When we asked them we ordered the pan fried black bean noodles with seafood and not the regular one, they just brushed us off and told us the original one was cheaper and for us to keep it. The parking lot here is challenging and usually full. Was approached by a woman from 7-11 who said she was robbed and asked us to give her a ride somewhere. So little bit sketch there and often crowded during the day. Was ok at night. Had their beef jjajangmyun which was tasty. Super huge portion, the bowl was big enough to wash your face. Comes with a sunny side up egg which I've never had. Would've been enough to order just that for me and my mom but I think Korean culture is that you can't eat at a sit down restaurant and share one dish between two ppl. So we had to order a second giant dish of pork tangsuyook which comes with the sauce on the side. I like that since it stays crunchy. Apparently a hot debate since others really like it poured over. Who doesn't like Chinese food? It's fried meat with sweet & sour sauce is all you need to make your miserable day end happy. Especially after watching those K-dramas, it's almost impossible to resist the urge to pick up your phone and order Korean Style Chinese Food (except they don't deliver like Koreans do in United States). Uber and Door Dash may deliver them but they are never like the delivery man with a metal box on a motor bike deliver your food who seems angry at you for ordering their food (you'll only understand if you are a K-drama maniac). Anyways, my photo only have spicy seafood noodles (cham pong) and sweet & sour pork, but I did have the famous black bean noodle (jja jang myeon) but I was half way done with it before I knew I didn't take picture (it's that good!). A Korean style Chinese food is never complete without Jja jang myeon. As always, their food is excellent! One of the best tasting K-Chinese food in O.C. if not all SoCal. Like most of Chinese food, MSG comes for free. I mean a lot of them are for free of charge. lol. Some say it makes you sleepy. And some say it make you thirsty like a fish. But I think it's just a part of the food culture. They say everything comes in a bundle. So my experience here is always pleasant. Little wait may be needed, but not as bad as other restaurants now days. Food is good. Aunties serving are friendly until they aren't : ). And the price is just right. Best Korean chinese food in the area. They're not rude, just busy and talking quickly. You know the food is legit when the customer service is callous bc the aunties are too busy focusing on the food! I always get the noodle with stir-fried black soybean and garlic/pepper spicy chicken. So good. much better than VIP that used to be in cerritos. TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! First of all, the server did not help. They did not come by and bother to ask if the food was okay. It was not a busy day, there were only three tables. My friend and I ordered jjajangmyun and mine was watery. Literally it was SOUP. I could not even taste the bean paste. I was consuming flour. My friend's noodle wasn't even COOKED. Noodles were clumped together and it was not EDIBLE! It was TERRIBLE. When we complained the server was super RUDE and just said " oh we're sorry" and left. I do NOT reccomend this place. All the tables are close together and its a hazard area for children. People were bumping into each other. We left over half of the noodles left and they said " well you guys already ate it" Terrible. I am speechless. read more

--------3.5 Star Review-------- After devouring 4 different dishes with an empty stomach, I can honestly say that Pan Holic was a good dining experience that started strong, but lacked luster towards the end after each bite. The entrees were all very good and were great to share between a group! They offer a unique style for jjampong and jjajamyung that I have not witnessed yet at other korean noodle spots. The Jjajang bokum has to be one of their best enrees! A huge serving of noodles in their special black sauce served with lots of veggies and generous portions of variegated seafood (scallops, shrimp, octopus, and baby scallops!) The noodles were cooked to perfection as well! However, the Jjampong bokum was a bit disappointing. The noodles were cooked to perfection, but the sauce was very bland. It was also served with generous portions of variegated seafood and veggies. Finally, each bite of their freshly fried Tangsuyuk (pork strips) and Orange Chicken was satisfaction avenue! Very crispy and the sauce for the orange chicken was perfect. The tangsuyuk sauce was served separately in order to save its crispiness! Overall, Pan Holic is aight. The grub was good and the service was friendly. However, the food was a lil more pricey than expected based on the taste of their food and the jjampong bokum was a let down. The jjampong and white jjampong were one of the better ones i've had in recent memory. The jjajangmyeon was kind of salty as well. However, I would skip over any of the other fried dishes (chicken, shrimp). The sauce they use seems to be the same across the board with just varying amounts of spices..and even then it tastes super cheap and almost like they used tobasco as the base. Overall a great place if you just want jjampong but unfortunately not much else. read more
