My sister took me here last year and lives were changed. I finally showed my boyfriend this place and I gotta say, the quality and charm remained. I'm someone who's easily overwhelmed by bright lights so sitting inside a dark environment helps and also just looks cool. The booths are large enough to make things feel private so that enhances one's experience and enjoyment -- especially for people with social anxiety like me. The music wasn't blasting our ears off either. Everything came together nicely to feel like a welcoming little area. The staff -- can I just say whoever closed yesterday (October 11) you all did an incredible job and were all so attentive and kind. I don't expect much from restaurants that have a button to request service as it all depends on you, but they all made sure we felt seen and taken care of regardless of any requests. Our table remained clean and always had enough water. Our server communicated well with us and was overall just a pleasant person. I wish we had got his name to leave this review in honor of him haha As for the food, I will say this. It is a tad pricey if you come in with set expectations, but honestly, it does not disappoint. You get good portions, good quality, and good flavors. You get what you pay for here. I had a great time and this will always be a place I recommend to others :)

Came by with some friends to grab a late night snack around 10:30pm. Parking is kinda small, but there's street parking. When we got in we asked for a table of 4 and were shown to the table. The menus are on a QR code on each of the tables. They brought water cups, and a salad, which was good just a small portion. They also gave us small paper plates with a napkin, chopsticks, and plastic spoons. We ordered... - Corn Cheese = 9/10 tasty, and good portion to share - Kalbi Plate = 8/10 meat was tasty, tons of raw onions under and a salad - Pork Belly Plate = 7.5/10 not bad, it was cooled off and a little dry, but flavor was okay. we had to ask staff to check on it cause it took ~45 mins - Bulgolgi Tteboki = 5/10 wouldn't recommend. rice cakes were cooked to a good consistency, but there was little to no Bulgolgi. portion was small and not very flavorful - bottle of soju and terra beer = came with chilled shot cups and glasses Service was 2/5. Each time we needed a server we had to wave them down and the last time I had to go to the front desk to ask. Bathrooms were okay, clean. 8/10 There was also a Photo Booth in the back $9 for 2 strips. We didn't end up taking it but thought it was cool. Overall it's a lowkey place to chat with friends, drink, and have a snack. I wouldn't expect too much with service though, but it was cool to check it out.

"Nolza" means "let's play" in Korean. It brings me back to the 90's Korean drinking cafes in Koreatown, LA. I came to celebrate a friend's birthday this past weekend and had a great time! We ordered "Nolza Combo", which comes with a combination of food & drink options. We chose the bbq pork rib, chicken skewer, spicy seafood stew, and salad. Everything was SO good, but what stood out the most was their spicy seafood stew. It was AMAZING. Also, their food did not taste too greasy, which I really liked. My friends enjoyed soju & beer, and I enjoyed their Diet Coke which was also part of their combo. Other than that, Nolza is such a comfortable & fun environment. Loved their neon and bright decor, and also their Photo Booth! Can't wait to come and "play" here again soon. Cheers!

I've been here since 2020 and it's the best Korean spot I've gone too. I recommend the Galbj and ramen. Love that they have games for you to play with and the staff is so generous. They also have a Photo Booth inside.

Super fun and lit pocha with delicious food!! We ordered the kimchi pancake with cheese which was amazing, rose tekkboki (creamy and great texture), and tofu kimchi (which was so simple but the kimchi was so flavorful). There were a few tables celebrating birthdays, and they would play music and come out with a wheel of shots. We came on Friday for dinner and it was pretty packed by 9pm. Great place to hang out with friends, drink, and eat. Probably my favorite pocha in all of OC.

Loved it here so much! Great place to meet up with friends and have some yummy Korean food and drinks. We ordered kimchi fried rice, bossam, LA galbi, and melon punch. I got to tell you, all those dishes combined with soju was a good time. My favorite was the bossam. It's a good size for sharing. The LA galbi was good too, especially with the side of salad. The melon punch was tasty. It is not alcoholic but we ended up ordering a bottle of soju to mix with it and it was great. The restaurant was pretty chill. I liked sitting outside with the heaters. Our server was nice too. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Nolza is a spot that I'm surprised I haven't heard of earlier. It's a little hidden along the streets, but was lively when I was there. Walking in you're greeted with some colorful lights and a warm atmosphere which makes it a great place to eat and talk with others. We ordered several things from their menu, like their army stew, soy garlic chicken, and rose tteokbokki. All were full of flavor and gave nice portions to share with others. Definitely would recommend coming here with others if you wanted to have a nice night out!

Nolza is a hidden gem of a Korean pocha tucked in the neighborhoods of Buena Park. The moment you walk in, you're welcomed by colorful lights and decor made from soju bottles--it sets the tone right away. The space is roomy, with private booths that make it feel cozy yet open. They even have a photo booth so you can snap a few memories while you're there. The menu is stacked with options, from Korean BBQ and stir-fry dishes to classic K-soul food and street snacks. We tried the BBQ pork ribs, soy sauce pork belly, stir-fried octopus, and sausage with rice cake skewers. For drinks, we had apricot soju and beer - both paired well with the food. The soy sauce pork belly was my favorite! Honestly, the food was surprisingly good for a pocha, which isn't always the case. The whole vibe was super fun - perfect for groups looking for a casual, night out.

I went here with my girl after work and it was such a great experience. The food was delicious, the servers were attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself had a cool look to it and they have paint markers so you can draw or write on your table. Y'all just earned a new regular

Went here with some friends, and the decoration was super fun for a pocha place! We ordered the Gaza combo, with came with one tteokbokki (we got the rose one), fried calamari, corn cheese, black sesame salad, one soju, one beer, and two sodas which I thought was worth it! Service was good, and it's definitely a fun place to go hangout with friends and have a good time.

A cozy place for hanging out with your friends for soju and drinking games! Highlights of the menu: 1. Bulgogi with rice 2. Spicy chicken with cheese and rice 3. Cheese donkatsu 4. Spicy jokbal (pig feet)

Is the server's response to a complaint about undercooked meat just to tell us to get out? The restaurant owner should start by properly training their staff. If they keep doing business targeting Koreans, they'll shut down and go out of business. No apology for this food.

Overall, the food was great here and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I would come back maybe at a different time for better service. We tried this place at lunch time on a Sunday and it was empty. There was only one server (maybe the owner?) doing everything. They didn't speak English well, so we had a hard time communicating. They didn't check in on us either during the 2 hours we were there, so we had to wave them down for each individual thing at the end. Reading through the reviews, it looks like the restaurant is more bumping at night with more servers. Or maybe it was just an off day for them. * Sausage & Rice Cake Skewer 5/5 - This hit the spot and fulfilled our tteokbokki (rice cake) craving. It came with 2 big skewers of yummy rice cake and sausage drizzled in a delicious tteokbokki sauce glaze. The rice cake had a slight crisp to it which enhanced the texture and flavor. * Boneless Soy Garlic Fried Chicken 4.5/5 - This dish was a burst of flavor. The fried chicken was crispy, sweet, savory, and buttery. I wish they had a bone-in version since I like the meat texture of bone-in chicken better. * Spicy Seafood Soup 5/5 - The soup came with plenty of udon noodles and seafood. There were shrimps, squids, clams, mussels, and crabs. The crab legs were hard to eat, but not a deal breaker. We asked for the soup to be more mild and it wasn't too spicy. The broth was full of umami.

However, not long after I sat down, I noticed that the chair was dirty with red sauce, and it got all over my jeans. I asked the waitress--slightly annoyed--to clean the chair. When I came back from the restroom, she and three other waitresses laughed at me and sarcastically said, "I cleaned the chair." I later found out that she even showed my friend a "clean" rag in a mocking way while I was gone. Even though the experience was extremely unpleasant, I tried to stay calm. But when I sat back down, the red sauce got on my hand again (she only cleaned my seating area). I had to wipe the chair five times myself with napkins. None of the staff who saw this came over to help or clean it properly. The food was very good, but the service was unbelievably bad--one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I didn't want to leave a tip, but since there were other staff members as well, I still tipped and left. I value not only good food but also the attitude and professionalism of the servers, because it directly affects my overall experience. I truly hope the owner takes this seriously and makes improvements.

After we graduated, we promised to have a little reunion here as adults when we were old enough to drink. This little reunion happened recently. My little sister, who is 17, knew I was meeting my friends for dinner and asked if she could come. Since I knew we would be drinking, I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if she could sit with us since she wouldn't be drinking. They said no. If we were drinking, she couldn't be there. I thought it was unfortunate, but I told my sister she couldn't come to dinner with us. But what was really annoying is that after we ordered alcohol, our server didn't card us. I went out of my way to uninvite my sister because they said she couldn't be there, and they didn't even check. I thought it was a dumb rule in the first place, but it was really annoying that they didn't even enforce it after I went out of my way to ask. The pork belly skewers were really good. I can see why we used to come all the time as kids. Smoky and crispy. There's a big super traditional looking grill at the front of the restaurant, so I guess they're super serious about their skewers. The okonomiyaki was good too. We decided to try the rose tteokbokki since it was a new menu item, but we were unimpressed. There were barely any toppings inside. We also got the steamed squid, but I thought it was a bit overcooked. We might've stayed a little longer, but the sight of a cockroach climbing on our table sent a chill down our spines. We told a server that we saw a cockroach, but she just stared at us blankly and walked away without doing anything. After that, we had serious issues about the perceived cleanliness of the restaurant and left immediately.  I'm disappointed. In the end, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling I was yearning for. I think there were several interactions with the workers that they could have handled better. I cleared my little side quest, so I don't think I have a reason to ever return.
