The noise was the least of the issue. The servcie was not great on 2 seperste visits here. I came once during the World Cup so I understand World cup can be a busy time. I waited hours before being seated even after we requested to be seated after when people left. Then when we finally sat down and ordered it took very look time at this piont the crowd was gone and it was business as usual. I decided to give it another try with another friend of mine couple weeks later. IT was during the week and not busy still the same. Service is not great here. After last night I was ready to just write this place off and move on. Then I checked my bank statement today and saw that my tip had been increased by $10 after the fact. That is where this crosses from bad service into outright shady behavior. We came in as a group for dinner and the experience was mediocre at best. The restaurant was so dark we had to ask for additional lamps, which didn't even stay on. The service button at the table didn't work, so we repeatedly had to flag down the two servers. Water refills were forgotten. Basic attentiveness was missing. Nothing about the service justified anything beyond "okay." Our server eventually replenished our onions and broth, and perhaps that single "heroic" act went to her head- because after we paid and were already heading to our car, she ran out after our group. Our server, ASHLEY ran out to the parking lot to tell me my total was incorrect. I had accidentally written $170 instead of $178 due to a minor handwriting error. Understandable- so I corrected it immediately. That should have been the end of it. But it wasn't. She then had the audacity to question why her tip was "only 7%." I told her the service was just okay and we left. No argument, no scene- but it was already inappropriate and unprofessional to confront customers about their tip in the first place. What's completely unacceptable is what happened next. The finalized charge posted as $188- not the corrected $178. That means she added an extra $10 to my tip without my consent. Let's be clear: that is not a "mistake," that is altering a signed receipt and helping yourself to someone else's money. For context, my intended tip was $14.95- about 10% of the subtotal. More than fair for the level of service we received. Tips are optional, not owed and certainly not something a server gets to revise after the fact because they feel entitled to more. This was downright tacky, dishonest, and a complete breach of trust. I have already filed a dispute with my bank as I have a picture of what I signed before leaving the restaurant and I strongly recommend others check their receipts carefully and document it before leaving as well. But if you are smart, you would avoid an establishment that employs such an abhorrent server with no integrity or shame. Do better. read more

We came on a Friday evening and the place was empty. There were only a few other people inside the restaurant besides our party, but this allowed us to be seated quickly. Service here was also very quick and our waiter was super attentive. He also gave us a couple bottles on the house! As for the food, it was pretty good! We really enjoyed the pork belly as well as the fried chicken gizzards. The soy garlic chicken was a bit too salty/saucy tho. The rose tteokbokki also had a tomato flavor rather than the typical Gochujang flavor for some reason. My sister took me here last year and lives were changed. I finally showed my boyfriend this place and I gotta say, the quality and charm remained. I'm someone who's easily overwhelmed by bright lights so sitting inside a dark environment helps and also just looks cool. The booths are large enough to make things feel private so that enhances one's experience and enjoyment -- especially for people with social anxiety like me. The music wasn't blasting our ears off either. Everything came together nicely to feel like a welcoming little area. The staff -- can I just say whoever closed yesterday (October 11) you all did an incredible job and were all so attentive and kind. I don't expect much from restaurants that have a button to request service as it all depends on you, but they all made sure we felt seen and taken care of regardless of any requests. Our table remained clean and always had enough water. Our server communicated well with us and was overall just a pleasant person. I wish we had got his name to leave this review in honor of him haha As for the food, I will say this. It is a tad pricey if you come in with set expectations, but honestly, it does not disappoint. When I say this place is worth a drive, it's worth it! The service was so quick and the staff was so kind and thoughtful. My friends and I came in to have dinner and we were offered a bottle of soju on the house. We got kimchi fried rice, spicy soy glazed chicken, tofu udon soup, cheese tteokbokki and more and every single dish was so good. Pretty disappointed. Portion sizes here are really small compared to other Korean bars we've been to. Normally I'm quality over quantity, but in this case, the quality also was not great. Flavors were lacking and the rose ddukboki sauce was a really thin, tomato forward sauce with no fish cakes even. It's not that typical creamy gochujang flavor you expect. On top of it, charging $25 for not even shareable amount with more than a party of 2 is insane. The bbq pork belly was also pretty dry. The kimchi fried rice was $20 but lacking flavor, barely any kimchi, and small portion once again. Luckily it was just me and my husband so the portions was ok for 2 but I would definitely not bring a large group here unless you're okay buying 2 of pretty much everything. Came by with some friends to grab a late night snack around 10:30pm. Parking is kinda small, but there's street parking. When we got in we asked for a table of 4 and were shown to the table. The menus are on a QR code on each of the tables. They brought water cups, and a salad, which was good just a small portion. We ordered... - Corn Cheese = 9/10 tasty, and good portion to share - Kalbi Plate = 8/10 meat was tasty, tons of raw onions under and a salad - Pork Belly Plate = 7.5/10 not bad, it was cooled off and a little dry, but flavor was okay. we had to ask staff to check on it cause it took ~45 mins - Bulgolgi Tteboki = 5/10 wouldn't recommend. rice cakes were cooked to a good consistency, but there was little to no Bulgolgi. portion was small and not very flavorful - bottle of soju and terra beer = came with chilled shot cups and glasses Service was 2/5. Each time we needed a server we had to wave them down and the last time I had to go to the front desk to ask. "Nolza" means "let's play" in Korean. It brings me back to the 90's Korean drinking cafes in Koreatown, LA. I came to celebrate a friend's birthday this past weekend and had a great time! We ordered "Nolza Combo", which comes with a combination of food & drink options. We chose the bbq pork rib, chicken skewer, spicy seafood stew, and salad. Everything was SO good, but what stood out the most was their spicy seafood stew. It was AMAZING. Also, their food did not taste too greasy, which I really liked. We had friendsgiving here last night and it turned out to be a good idea. A few people asked me how I found this spot and it was yelp.... the reviews were good and they had a big space for our party of 10. There was a few groups there but plenty of space to accommodate everyone. Loved the vibes, not just another korean bar the food there was pretty tasty as well. Came here for a friend's birthday on a saturday night and it was fun! From the outside and surrounding area this place looks unassuming, but once you walk inside it's loud, vibrant, and fun. First time trying here and the vibes are greaaaat! Parking can be pretty bad though since it seems like the parking lot gets full. Luckily their is street parking available that's not too far away. This is a really fun place and great with groups. The waiter was also really helpful and attentive. We tried this place at lunch time on a Sunday and it was empty. There was only one server (maybe the owner?) doing everything. They didn't speak English well, so we had a hard time communicating. Reading through the reviews, it looks like the restaurant is more bumping at night with more servers. Or maybe it was just an off day for them. * Sausage & Rice Cake Skewer 5/5 - This hit the spot and fulfilled our tteokbokki (rice cake) craving. It came with 2 big skewers of yummy rice cake and sausage drizzled in a delicious tteokbokki sauce glaze. The rice cake had a slight crisp to it which enhanced the texture and flavor. * Boneless Soy Garlic Fried Chicken 4.5/5 - This dish was a burst of flavor. The fried chicken was crispy, sweet, savory, and buttery. I wish they had a bone-in version since I like the meat texture of bone-in chicken better. * Spicy Seafood Soup 5/5 - The soup came with plenty of udon noodles and seafood. There were shrimps, squids, clams, mussels, and crabs. The crab legs were hard to eat, but not a deal breaker. We asked for the soup to be more mild and it wasn't too spicy. Nolza is a great late-night Korean pub spot for great vibes and food! The restaurant is really spacious with a large outdoor patio and lots of drawings and writings on the walls. The music is really loud and fun and reminded me of the Korean pub as seen in the Itaewon K-drama. The servers are very welcoming and give great recommendations! Our server recommended a sake I had never seen before and I really enjoyed it! It was called Starlight Chungha, which is a sparkling rice wine and I loved that it had a good amount of sweetness and I especially loved that the alcohol taste wasn't too strong. I also tried their tteokbokki with added ramen and cheese along with their spicy stir-fried octopus. Both were so good and comforting!
