I absolutely loved this place! My friend had her graduation dinner here and it was the most fun I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were SOOOO FRIENDLY, food was tasty and there was a photobooth in the back! Such a great place for drinking and bar food. Food we had: Sweet and spicy chicken 8/10 Soy garlic chicken 7/10 Fried chicken gizzard 10/10 Bossam 8/10 Kimchi fried rice 7/10 Rose tteokbeokki 7.5/10 Overall the food was great! Especially paired with beers and soju I'd recommend this to anyone in the area. I am so happy this place is in my area! read more

The noise was the least of the issue. The servcie was not great on 2 seperste visits here. I came once during the World Cup so I understand World cup can be a busy time. I waited hours before being seated even after we requested to be seated after when people left. Then when we finally sat down and ordered it took very look time at this piont the crowd was gone and it was business as usual. I decided to give it another try with another friend of mine couple weeks later. IT was during the week and not busy still the same. Service is not great here. I heard this place was suppose to be great and saw good reviews. Maybe 3rd time the charm. I really love and want to support the locals but have to say a bit disappointment. Not sure If another visit is worth it. Best to have an honest reviews regardless of personal feelings. To give credit food is decent bar type food and drinks fair priced. It is like a k-bar type atmosphere. Maybe my timing was bad. The service is not great. I suppose the food is decent enough. Try it out for yourself if you still want. read more

After last night I was ready to just write this place off and move on. Then I checked my bank statement today and saw that my tip had been increased by $10 after the fact. That is where this crosses from bad service into outright shady behavior. We came in as a group for dinner and the experience was mediocre at best. The restaurant was so dark we had to ask for additional lamps, which didn't even stay on. The service button at the table didn't work, so we repeatedly had to flag down the two servers. Water refills were forgotten. Basic attentiveness was missing. Nothing about the service justified anything beyond "okay." Our server eventually replenished our onions and broth, and perhaps that single "heroic" act went to her head- because after we paid and were already heading to our car, she ran out after our group. Our server, ASHLEY ran out to the parking lot to tell me my total was incorrect. I had accidentally written $170 instead of $178 due to a minor handwriting error. Understandable- so I corrected it immediately. That should have been the end of it. But it wasn't. She then had the audacity to question why her tip was "only 7%." I told her the service was just okay and we left. No argument, no scene- but it was already inappropriate and unprofessional to confront customers about their tip in the first place. What's completely unacceptable is what happened next. The finalized charge posted as $188- not the corrected $178. That means she added an extra $10 to my tip without my consent. Let's be clear: that is not a "mistake," that is altering a signed receipt and helping yourself to someone else's money. For context, my intended tip was $14.95- about 10% of the subtotal. More than fair for the level of service we received. Tips are optional, not owed and certainly not something a server gets to revise after the fact because they feel entitled to more. This was downright tacky, dishonest, and a complete breach of trust. I have already filed a dispute with my bank as I have a picture of what I signed before leaving the restaurant and I strongly recommend others check their receipts carefully and document it before leaving as well. But if you are smart, you would avoid an establishment that employs such an abhorrent server with no integrity or shame. Do better. read more

We came on a Friday evening and the place was empty. There were only a few other people inside the restaurant besides our party, but this allowed us to be seated quickly. Service here was also very quick and our waiter was super attentive. He also gave us a couple bottles on the house! As for the food, it was pretty good! We really enjoyed the pork belly as well as the fried chicken gizzards. The soy garlic chicken was a bit too salty/saucy tho. The rose tteokbokki also had a tomato flavor rather than the typical Gochujang flavor for some reason. Solid pocha place in the area with little to no wait (but i could recommend going to misooolkwan or INS if you're looking for better quality food imo). Still delicious nonetheless tho! read more

This place is a great spot, the place is very nice inside and outside. The owners are great and the service was exceptional. We got the food fast and it was very tasty. We had the rose ttkeboki and fried soy garlic chicken. 10/10 would recommend and try this place if you have the chance! read more

My sister took me here last year and lives were changed. I finally showed my boyfriend this place and I gotta say, the quality and charm remained. I'm someone who's easily overwhelmed by bright lights so sitting inside a dark environment helps and also just looks cool. The booths are large enough to make things feel private so that enhances one's experience and enjoyment -- especially for people with social anxiety like me. The music wasn't blasting our ears off either. Everything came together nicely to feel like a welcoming little area. The staff -- can I just say whoever closed yesterday (October 11) you all did an incredible job and were all so attentive and kind. I don't expect much from restaurants that have a button to request service as it all depends on you, but they all made sure we felt seen and taken care of regardless of any requests. Our table remained clean and always had enough water. Our server communicated well with us and was overall just a pleasant person. I wish we had got his name to leave this review in honor of him haha As for the food, I will say this. It is a tad pricey if you come in with set expectations, but honestly, it does not disappoint. You get good portions, good quality, and good flavors. You get what you pay for here. I had a great time and this will always be a place I recommend to others :) read more

Came by with some friends to grab a late night snack around 10:30pm. Parking is kinda small, but there's street parking. When we got in we asked for a table of 4 and were shown to the table. The menus are on a QR code on each of the tables. They brought water cups, and a salad, which was good just a small portion. They also gave us small paper plates with a napkin, chopsticks, and plastic spoons. We ordered... - Corn Cheese = 9/10 tasty, and good portion to share - Kalbi Plate = 8/10 meat was tasty, tons of raw onions under and a salad - Pork Belly Plate = 7.5/10 not bad, it was cooled off and a little dry, but flavor was okay. we had to ask staff to check on it cause it took ~45 mins - Bulgolgi Tteboki = 5/10 wouldn't recommend. rice cakes were cooked to a good consistency, but there was little to no Bulgolgi. portion was small and not very flavorful - bottle of soju and terra beer = came with chilled shot cups and glasses Service was 2/5. Each time we needed a server we had to wave them down and the last time I had to go to the front desk to ask. Bathrooms were okay, clean. 8/10 There was also a Photo Booth in the back $9 for 2 strips. We didn't end up taking it but thought it was cool. Overall it's a lowkey place to chat with friends, drink, and have a snack. I wouldn't expect too much with service though, but it was cool to check it out. read more

We had friendsgiving here last night and it turned out to be a good idea. A few people asked me how I found this spot and it was yelp.... the reviews were good and they had a big space for our party of 10. There was a few groups there but plenty of space to accommodate everyone. Loved the vibes, not just another korean bar the food there was pretty tasty as well. Photobooth inside too, they gave us a free code to use but forgot....arghhhh Not only did we smash 15 bottles of soju for food we had pork blood sausage, fried chicken with soy garlic sauce, french fries, kimchi fried rice, spam and eggs, army stew, honestly pretty good. If you're craving korean junk food and not trying to drink, this would be the spot. They have a big parking lot thats dark, the spots tucked in a corner but easy to find off the 5 freeway. read more

Went here with some friends, and the decoration was super fun for a pocha place! We ordered the Gaza combo, with came with one tteokbokki (we got the rose one), fried calamari, corn cheese, black sesame salad, one soju, one beer, and two sodas which I thought was worth it! Service was good, and it's definitely a fun place to go hangout with friends and have a good time. read more

"Nolza" means "let's play" in Korean. It brings me back to the 90's Korean drinking cafes in Koreatown, LA. I came to celebrate a friend's birthday this past weekend and had a great time! We ordered "Nolza Combo", which comes with a combination of food & drink options. We chose the bbq pork rib, chicken skewer, spicy seafood stew, and salad. Everything was SO good, but what stood out the most was their spicy seafood stew. It was AMAZING. Also, their food did not taste too greasy, which I really liked. My friends enjoyed soju & beer, and I enjoyed their Diet Coke which was also part of their combo. Other than that, Nolza is such a comfortable & fun environment. Loved their neon and bright decor, and also their Photo Booth! Can't wait to come and "play" here again soon. Cheers! read more

Came here for a friend's birthday on a saturday night and it was fun! From the outside and surrounding area this place looks unassuming, but once you walk inside it's loud, vibrant, and fun. Our party was seated outside. The food was great, good snacks to have while having a couple drinks with friends. Super lively environment as all the other patrons were small to large groups of friends. The service was very accommodating to us as we had a rather large group of around 15 people. I can see myself coming back here with a group of friends on a weekend night wanting to catch up and have some fun. This place is definitely the spot for food and drinks! read more

Pretty disappointed. Portion sizes here are really small compared to other Korean bars we've been to. Normally I'm quality over quantity, but in this case, the quality also was not great. Flavors were lacking and the rose ddukboki sauce was a really thin, tomato forward sauce with no fish cakes even. It's not that typical creamy gochujang flavor you expect. On top of it, charging $25 for not even shareable amount with more than a party of 2 is insane. The bbq pork belly was also pretty dry. The kimchi fried rice was $20 but lacking flavor, barely any kimchi, and small portion once again. Luckily it was just me and my husband so the portions was ok for 2 but I would definitely not bring a large group here unless you're okay buying 2 of pretty much everything. You're better off going to misoolkwan! Better flavors, bigger portion sizes, AND it's slightly cheaper. read more

Loved it here so much! Great place to meet up with friends and have some yummy Korean food and drinks. We ordered kimchi fried rice, bossam, LA galbi, and melon punch. I got to tell you, all those dishes combined with soju was a good time. My favorite was the bossam. It's a good size for sharing. The LA galbi was good too, especially with the side of salad. The melon punch was tasty. It is not alcoholic but we ended up ordering a bottle of soju to mix with it and it was great. The restaurant was pretty chill. I liked sitting outside with the heaters. Super fun and lit pocha with delicious food!! We ordered the kimchi pancake with cheese which was amazing, rose tekkboki (creamy and great texture), and tofu kimchi (which was so simple but the kimchi was so flavorful). Nolza is a hidden gem of a Korean pocha tucked in the neighborhoods of Buena Park. The moment you walk in, you're welcomed by colorful lights and decor made from soju bottles--it sets the tone right away. The space is roomy, with private booths that make it feel cozy yet open. They even have a photo booth so you can snap a few memories while you're there. The menu is stacked with options, from Korean BBQ and stir-fry dishes to classic K-soul food and street snacks. We tried the BBQ pork ribs, soy sauce pork belly, stir-fried octopus, and sausage with rice cake skewers. For drinks, we had apricot soju and beer - both paired well with the food. First time trying here and the vibes are greaaaat! Parking can be pretty bad though since it seems like the parking lot gets full. Luckily their is street parking available that's not too far away. This is a really fun place and great with groups. The waiter was also really helpful and attentive. As soon as we were seated, we ordered stir fried chicken gizzard, french fries, and stir fried brisket & bean sprouts. Starting with the food, the chicken gizzard was very chewy! My bf enjoyed this one a lot. The stir fried brisket and bean sprouts were kind of basic, but it was still good? It tasted like something we could have made at home, so we felt like we should've chose a different item haha. Although, the fries in my opinion were the best lol. They were so crispy and I loved how they were crinkle cut fries. Fun place to eat & drink! Though, I was unsure why the parking lot was so full, but there were many tables still available inside lol. read more
