Just do a pastrami sandwich. Do it well. They offer a "chicken quesadilla" that comes out like a sliced burrito. When I order a quesadilla, I do so knowing what to expect. This is not that. I thought it would come with chips, but it came with soft tortillas. So you make a mini cheese burrito. It was good FRESH, don't let it sit too long or it will harden. $16 SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH: this was DELICIOUS! The brioche bun was soft and fluffy and the chicken was fried perfectly and topped with a yummy sauce. $36 STEAK & FRITES: the steak was a little chewy for me. The Chimichurri was delicious! My family and I had the opportunity to dine at 12 Sixty Modern Pub & Kitchen at our recent trip to SoCal. It's connected to the hotel we were staying at, so we had breakfast there a couple times, in addition to ordering lunch or dinner on nights that we were too lazy to get back in the car to find a new restaurant to try. The food is, unfortunately, a hit or miss. On the first morning there, I had an eggs Benedict dish, which was delightful and seasoned well. However, their lunch/dinner and dessert options were disappointing. For the night we ordered dinner, I ordered the carne asada tacos and a fruit cobbler. Both were severely lacking in the flavor department. The asada was dry, chewy, and flavorless, even with the sauce they added. For me, the cobbler was most disappointing of all. Canned peaches and blueberries were add, which is fine, but the seasoning just wasn't there. It tasted like dry, sugarless cake. I was hoping that the peaches and blueberries would help, but they didn't. I ended up not finishing it and just throwing it away. Overall, the breakfast here was good, but unfortunately, the rest of the menu was a huge miss. The restaurant is convenient, since it's located right next to a hotel; however, outside of breakfast, I'd recommend dining elsewhere unless you are tired and don't want to drive anywhere. read more

This place was exactly what we needed. Came out for our annual youth camp and a group of us come early for a lot I mean a lot of setup. The year prior our dinner spot just didn't land well as a group. However this place blew us out of the water. Just an unexpected amazing restaurant attached to a hotel which is rarely the case. Kayla our waitress was amazing. Such a large group of us with kids and she was always on it with the orders being properly placed and making sure we were taken care of. The coconut rice as interesting, a little too sweet to be accompanied with the salmon. The vegetables were on the poor side of serving size. Literally two carrots and two cucumbers. What an unexpected find at the Holiday Inn! My mother and I needed to grab dinner before going to the theatre. We were seated immediately. Our server Juan was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The prime rib was excellent - perfectly cooked and seasoned with a special house made sauce. The asparagus and carrots were perfectly cooked and the smashed potatoes were crispy and delicious. I also had some pretzel bites with a spicy cheese dip which were soft and warm. My mom loved the corn chowder. The restaurant had a nice ambiance with a mix of booths and bar seating. Highly recommend checking it out. read more

I saw this place off the freeway and was curious. My husband and I went and we were immediately greeted and seated. The food was amazing and the selection of beers was good. We are staying at the hotel and had a breakfast coupon. We opted for the buffet (which is a bit pricey if we were paying menu prices). What I loved was the full service offered by our sweet server (I think her name was Annabel?). She brought large OJs, fresh coffee with carafe and waters with lemon. Then offered us fresh toasted English muffins from the kitchen and the most amazing green salsa. Which really helped the typical buffet scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes. The buffet had plenty of fresh fruit as well as hot and cold cereal, yogurts and pastries. The restaurant is a little industrial, but they were just adding holiday decorations. The sound from other customers carried easily which was a little distracting. And they have very small coffee cups. The carafe helps offset that. Overall a pleasant experience. read more

Located inside a Holiday Inn, the place has a nice revamp from the old Red Robin that used to occupy this facility. Not open all day, so check hours before going. Food - I ate both breakfast and had a snack while staying in La Mirada. The food was decent and well prepared. I did not appreciate the small portions at breakfast (I think they do this to try and make their 27$ buffet more appealing). For the pretzel bites - the tiniest of portions of the dipping sauce was barely enough for two let alone all six. The bartender was friendly and efficient but he truly could have used a hand from some of the other staff or managers that seemed to be standing around as the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty when I was there. Ambiance wise - It is your standard connected to a hotel restaurant Just calling a place a "modern pub" doesn't make it true. So don't expect to come in and find a huge selection of craft beers or someone with a knowledge of brewing to talk about what different types of beers you might like with what dish. I ended up settling for a "blue moon" which is an enjoyable beer - however they did not even have a hard cider on tap so I could not get an "Angry Moon" unless I wanted to purchase a bottled cider and a Blue Moon draft and try and do the mix pour myself (not a great choice when sitting bar-side) This is a decent restaurant and I would have no problem eating here while staying at the hotel but it not a place I would purposely "go" yo or take friends and family to when there are so many other choices. read more

Stopped by here with the girls from work for a much-needed happy hour. The place is located next to a hotel. I found parking to not be a problem, although there parking spots seem to be pretty narrow, or there was a lot of drunk people parking in those spots because it seems like every car was not parked correctly lol. The restaurant/ bar is actually very modern and nice inside, lighting was dim w/Big screen TVs playing sports. For being a Friday evening, there wasn't a lot of people there. It was actually pretty empty. We were taken to our table right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered calamari, tater tots, chorizo pasta , Cobb salad , and a burger and fries.Drinks ordered were Pepino Margaritas , and White Claws. The food presentation was nice appetizers were good and my pasta was decent. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food.
