Have been coming here for 3 years now. The charbroiled cheese burger never fails. It always hits the spot. Their fries are always hot. The employees are always so kind. It feels like a diner inside. Like if everyone knows each other because I have seen the same ppl eating there so im sure they are regulars.

Catching up on my reviews, I believe this one is from a year ago. Mikes has been a number of different food places of the years. I remember when my friends and I would go here after school (la Mirada high school) it was a Spikes at one time teriyaki chicken. However, Mikes has been able to hold on to this spot for a good while now. I've eaten here three times since it's been Mikes and the burgers (shredded lettuce) and fries (crispy) are done old school. which I think other places miss the mark on how burgers and fries should be served. The Service has always been polite and the restaurant is a good size with a good amount of seating available. I love the hot rod and biker signs on the walls. Has an old burger joint feel to it that I love from when I was younger. Wishing them many more years moving forward.

Huevos Rancheros

My dad had been here once before and loved the food. So he invited my mom and I out for breakfast and I had never been here. We ordered our food and while I was getting my drink I noted a small gnat flying around the side machine. The area didn't look dirty though. We sat down and one of the workers came over and brought our silverware and napkins. I thought it was unusual being that it seemed like a place where you order and seat yourself. We got there somewhat close to opening and it was really warm inside. I wished we sat and ate on their tiny patio since I started to sweat while eating once we got our food. I had the Huevos Rancheros and they were actually pretty good. This time around my dad said he found the steak to be quite chewy and they had forgotten to add bell peppers to his potatoes . My mom had no complaints with her eggs and hash browns though. Other than the gnat flying around the sodas and there being no ice cold air flow I gave this place three stars since I found my food dish to be quite delicious.

Chili Cheese Fries with home added onions

Literally local staple for us. We have been in the neighborhood since 2005 and Mike's has been a mainstay for all those years. The hard shell beef tacos are stupendously delish. Today I got a large chili cheese fries. (I added the cilantro and diced onions as well as the pickled habanero onions) @Mikes highly suggest you offer these as options. Service is always fast and courteous. This is a spacious diner if you want to meet up with friends after a bike ride or Saturday morning for coffee. Wish they sponsored a car meet up on the weekend. Plenty of parking for that. Anyway the food is consistently good. Not trendy off the charts, but stable good local fare.

Turkey Sandwich

Mike's Hamburgers in La Mirada left me feeling underwhelmed. While the burgers were flavorful, the overall quality Iooked a bit inconsistent. Ordered a chicken sandwich. Thought it was like something from Popeyes or McDonald's but no, it was worse. The chicken was like a dry piece of breast meat that was steamed. I look over at other orders like a Turkey club and that looks normal. Furthermore, I felt the prices were quite high for the portion sizes and the quality of the food. I expected a better food for the cost. Not really recommending Mike's Hamburgers based on my experience. The combination of inconsistent quality and high prices makes it a difficult place to justify frequent visits. Maybe just get a club sandwich, that looks decent. Plus a good amount of fries.

Consistent place. Usually drive through and was pleasantly surprised to see an updated menu sign! Food is good, service is nice. Usually clean inside and out. Check it out!

Service is always friendly and the food never disappoints; granted I've only ever ordered through the Drive-thru. Oh! You can also order in English or Spanish.

Just FYI...the mango smoothie is not what it says online. It's like a slushie...ice and mango syrup. It was still nice and refreshing.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Avoid this at all costs. Super disappointing, given all the misleading positive reviews.

This restaurant is in such an obscure location, I can't believe I was going to a Burrito Track across the street for so many years not knowing this place existed. Friendly staff and prompt service. The unfortunate negative is it's location and I'm referring to parking. There must be 8 business crammed into this lot. With a bar to the right and a laudermat on its left finding a parking spot is like winning the lotto. Now layer in one driveway and you have to make a 3 point turn just to navigate to leave. The short answer is I will absolutely go back to this place as long as there is a parking space to be had.

The bartender was super attentive, and she was always there so it was very easy to order! I ordered two short rib tacos, which the tacos were $1 off, and the mole tots, which was probably $4 off? Pretty worth visiting during happy hour! Service was very quick. There were also other few people ordering food besides drinks at the bar. Starting off with the tacos, the short rib was very nice! Very soft, tender, and flavorful. You can taste that they put amount of hours to preparing the meat for it. I just wished they added more condiments to the taco cause it was just cilantro and onion. I wish there was like salsa, radish, etc. It's kind of pricey compared to a street taco, but the quality of the meat was definitely higher. Also the mole tots, this was pretty good, although I wish there was more cheese. First few bites were pretty good, but the more you eat it, it does taste quite overwhelming from the black salsa. I wish there was also more toppings to it too. Overall, dining at the bar during happy hour was very chill! The bartender was also very nice and welcoming. Saw a DJ was setting up, but didn't get to see him play when I was dining around 6:30pm.
