Came here after a school night activity with my kids. Had been here before. The Mexican themed wall arts and indoor decor still draw my fond attention. If you come during the day, you may be able to catch the worker making the fresh tortillas by hands. We ordered the trio tacos and the wet burrito. Great flavor. The burrito is of generous portion that you could save the uneaten portion for a second meal. The servers are attentive. Will definitely return.

Amor Y Tacos in Cerritos is a hidden gem. The brunch menu features Birria Benedict, Birria Machaca, and lots of other unique and delicious dishes. Service could use some improvements.

I stopped by for a late-night bite. We were in the area, and feeling a bit hungry. We were craving some Mexican food, and we saw that this place had good recommendations, so we decided to stop by. There was no wait, and we were seated right away. It looked like there were only two front staff working that night, just a waitress and the bartender, who seemed to handle pretty much everything. I wasn't expecting much, but the hospitality was on point. I didn't catch his name, but the bartender was one of the best servers I've ever had. He was super friendly and went out of his way to accommodate our order after it came out not as expected (I'll get into that later). We ordered a few things: chips and salsa, the wet burrito, and the chipotle agave pork belly. The chipotle agave pork belly was hands down the best thing we ordered. The pork belly was tender, a little salty, and a little sweet from the glaze. The potatoes that came with it were amazing. IT was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just delicious. Everything in this dish was just so well balanced. On the other hand, the other two dishes we ordered were just okay. The chips and salsa were standard. The salsa was a good light starter to the meal. I did want to mention that the chips were huge, practically entire tortillas! They were unsalted, but strangely addictive to munch on. As for the wet burrito, it had the potential to be good and would have been a hefty meal. It might take two people to finish, or if you're extra hungry, you could tackle it solo. We got the burritos with carnitas, but it came out too salty. It was noticeably salty, and even the other fillings and sauces couldn't balance it out. The bartender offered additional condiments to help cut the saltiness and even asked if we wanted it remade. However, by the time we figured out why it tasted off to us and concluded it was the saltiness, we were pretty much done with the burritos and our meal. We decided not to have the kitchen remake the burrito, as we didn't want to waste food, especially since we wouldn't finish a 2nd burroito. We barely took a few bites of the first and just thought it would be too much of a waste. Overall, the experience was solid, and the bartender's excellent service definitely stood out.

Everything was phenomenal! Every single staff interaction was warm and welcoming. Plenty of parking. Great for large groups. The food was slight pricey for Mexican food but everything was so delicious!! They even make their tortillas fresh for the tacos, which makes such a difference. I would recommend the Mole Tot, Short Rib Tacos, and the Chipotle Agave Glazed Pork Belly which just melts in your mouth! They also have a bar and margaritas flights!

Amor Y Tacos is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant with Mexican flavors. I've been here many times and my favorite items are their mole tots, their tortilla soup, and their shrimp enchiladas; however, my favorite time to come here is during "Dine LA". Amor Y Tacos gives one of the best pre-fixe menus in LA County and it's a great time to try things. Unlike previous years, portion sizes for the pre fixe menu were reduced to individual-sized portions; however, I think that they still gave tremendous value for the price. The Dine LA Menu is available through Friday, February 6 and it comes with chips and guac, street corn, your choice of tortilla soup or mexican clam chowder, an entree of your choice, and churros with horchata ice cream. For $35, it's a no-brainer. The tortilla soup and mexican clam chowders are flavor bombs. For my entree, I went with a wet burrito with chicken tinga and mole sauce. It's hard to go wrong with street corn; however, I thought that the churros were pretty standard. The burrito was massive and I'm still picking away at it a few days later. If you're looking for a great dine LA pick, then this is a great local option; however, I think it's also a great spot to check out on a regular night. Their margaritas are flavorful and strong, and you'll definitely be able to find something rich in flavor.

Taco Tuesday hangout. Come on out, relax, and enjoy a couple of tacos with us. We're serving homemade tortillas and toppings so you can build your tacos just the way you like them. Good food, good vibes, and a good time--this is the place to be for Taco Tuesday.

Came here to experience their Dine LA menu. I wish I took pics of everything but I was just way too hungry to wait. The guacamole was good and the soups were delicious. My husband and I each ordered one and I think mine was the chowder. Definitely hearty and flavorful! Let's get to the tacos. I ordered the pastor, short rib, and asada tacos. The asada ones were pretty salty in my opinion. The pastor had pineapple which was a great complement to the taco. The short rib tacos were super tasty and tender as well. All the tacos were so good and I was honestly too full to finish them. The churros at the end were the perfect end to my meal. They weren't too sweet and the churros were warm, which went well with the cold ice cream. Also, if they have the sandia agua fresca, I'd highly recommend it. It's sooo good and tastes so fresh!

I've been here, and was impressed, before so naturally I came back just in time for their Dine LA menu. Still amazing and till great value especially if you make it to their happy hour! (2-9 on Tuesdays, 2-5 other days) 64 Impala - solid Cadillac margarita to pair with all the bites, spirit forward but still refreshing Guacamole - typical guac nothing else to say Esquites - creamy and salty pairing with the sweet corn, a favorite Mexican Clam Chowder - hearty and flavorful with a little kick Taco Plate - asada on the salty side but still good, al pastor is tender with pineapple slices to compliment it, short rib was flavorful with radishes a good pairing to cut through the fat, Salted Caramel Churros - not too sweet with perfect texture of crispy outside fluffy inside Service was also really fast and friendly considering how busy the restaurant was. Will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed this location. I saw another post that said they would definitely come back and maybe even rate this place a little higher if it wasn't for the prices and I'd have to agree. Everything we had we really enjoyed. Would try other things on the menu that sounded interesting before I came back to them, but would definitely order all of it again. Run off the bat chips and salsa about five bucks if you want that so no complementary chips. So that let us down the road to try one of the appetizers we did the Papas Bravas. The crème in it was fantastic in it! Highly recommend this for you to kick your meal off. For our Maine, my wife did Birria tacos and I did pork belly. She liked her tacos but would try something else before going back to these. I throughly enjoyed the the short rib tacos, the watermelon was a nice touch. The beans and rice were fresh and good add. Regular beer Modelo, ran about $8. Service was OK. There was a bartender running back-and-forth to try and help our tables. It definitely took a while to get things like drink refills. There was a ladies single and mingle event happening there. Families were filling the place as well. So lots going on. Appreciated they had ladies hockey on in the bar; I'll give that big win for the environment. If I get the opportunity, I'll be back. But cost versus what you get is a little on the pricier side.

Why didn't I know about this place?! It was LA restaurant week and this restaurant was on the list and not too far. What a great way to try a new place! I had actually already seen this place before I just had never tried it. Finding parking for lunch time was hard as there are other brunch businesses around all sharing parking. When we finally parked and walked in, we were sat pretty quickly. They place is very welcoming and the staff is friendly. The seat I got sat on was slightly dirty with crumbs from a previous guest but nothing major. We chose the 1 dine LA menu and ones la carte since we thought it would be too much food and we are glad we did that! The chips and salsa to start were good. The salsa had just a hint of kick which works for me. I don't eat avocado so my bf got to enjoy their guacamole. The tortilla soup was tasty and just enough of a portion. For the wet burrito, I wasn't sure which salsa I wanted red/green and they were kind to let me know I could do 1/2 and 1/2. Now that I've tried both, I prefer their green salsa as it has a bit of a kick and for sure savoury. Their red salsa reminds me a bit of mole, it has a unique flavour in the background and I just prefer the other one. I asked for an al pastor one and it was delicious! It had some pineapple in it, beans, rice and I added cheese which was an extra fee (worth it!). To close our experience, we had the icecream and churros. The ice cream was creamy and tasty. It honestly reminded me of vanilla ice cream with some cinnamon. The churros were small but multiple of them and enough to share. After looking at the menu, we need to be back and try some interesting dishes we saw. I know my bf was really interested in the chile relleno burger.

It's now 10pm and I am still full from eating their Dine LA deal at 2 (and subsequently the leftovers at 6:30). The deal is a LOT of food at a pretty good bang for your buck of $35, excluding tax and tip. Service was extremely efficient and attentive; our waitress got us started immediately with the courses where we don't need to make decisions, then came back to us for our later courses while we enjoyed the starters. The chip texture is phenomenal, with a perfect crunch while still having a little give to it. The guac is a little more jalapeño forward, so people who are sensitive to spice should be a little more careful. Street corn was a little saucy but perfectly balanced between sour and sweet. I have no idea what I expected out of the clam chowder but I honestly shouldn't have been surprised. This was a good palate cleanser after the street corn but honestly probably the least memorable dish out of all of them. The burrito is absolutely humongous and it's not my favorite burrito, but it was well-balanced among all of the ingredients without feeling too strongly of any particular one. The best part was that the ingredients were well-distributed throughout so I never felt like I had a bite of pure beans. The birria was a little bit more dry than my preference, though. The churros could've done with less sugar on the outside but the crunch contrasted well to the horchata ice cream, which was truly the drink in ice cream form.

Just tried the Dine LA menu and was very surprised at how good everything was. It's had even many years since I last ate here so I did not know what to expect. The portions were very generous and tasty. I loved the Mexican clam chowder and the tacos trio were great. Highly recommended giving this place a try. Though they were very busy, our server did a really great job. Hint: Recommend making reservations if you go during the weekend.

Deliciousness today at Amor Y Tacos. Maria was friendly and swift as she brought us our tacos and taquitos. Everything was unique and tasty. Then the manager Jesse came over to the table to see how we were doing. He was really nice. Their dining room was buzzing with activity, guests, and playful kids. Such a great place for brunch and dinner. Makes sense why they have a Michelin Star. Can't wait to go back next time!!

We didn't have reservations, so we expected a wait. The restaurant was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. We ordered the truffle garlic bread, spicy rigatoni vodka, squid ink tonnarreli and a pizza with half The Pig and half hot honey prosciutto. Spicy Rigatoni Vodka - 4/5 The dish was delicious, and you could definitely tell the pasta was handmade. It wasn't spicy at all to me, but I also have a pretty high spice tolerance. I do wish it had more meat, and the portion size felt a little small. I was shocked to find out it was nearly 2,000 calories for the amount served. Squid Ink Tonnarreli - 5/5 This was probably my favorite dish of the night. It was rich, savory, and really flavorful. I'd never had squid ink pasta before, although I've had Filipino squid cooked in squid ink many times. The dish came with squid, shrimp, and a spicy tomato-based sauce. We asked for it mild, but I honestly think it would've been even better spicy. The portion size was good too. Pizza - 3/5 Since they make handmade pasta, I assumed the pizza dough would be amazing, but it was just average. Parts of the crust were a little burnt. The Pig (their all-meat pizza) was okay but slightly too salty for me. The hot honey prosciutto side was better, although they were pretty light on the toppings. I probably wouldn't order pizza here again. Truffle Garlic Bread - 4/5 Really good, but overpriced at $18.50 for 9 small square pieces. The bread was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and very buttery. Customer Service - 5/5 Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and explained the menu really well. I appreciated that she mentioned the spice levels could be adjusted on certain dishes. She also refilled my iced tea without me having to ask and even brought me a to-go cup for it. Overall, we had a good experience. The food was solid, and the service was great. However, the portions felt a bit small for the price, especially compared to similar restaurants, and I was surprised they didn't offer complimentary bread. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not sure if I'd go back regularly.

The evening started off strong, as we stopped by during Hoppy Hour (around 9ish). There wasn't a wait, and it wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. The front staff was nice and polite. She gave us the option of either a tall round table or a shorter rectangular table. We of course, opted for the slightly shorter (height-wise) rectangular table. Once we were seated, we were given the menu, and the waitress told us that we would be right with us. She stopped by to ask about drinks, and we opted for water. She dropped off water and came back with perfect timing because by then we were ready to order. I also love the simplicity of the menu. There really aren't too many options where you feel overwhelmed, but there are still enough choices to pick from. Shout out to the pastrami quesadilla, I didn't realize it had been swapped for a new menu item until I asked about it this time around, but I'll be waiting for its comeback! We ordered a few items: the mac and cheese balls, the Wagyu bone marrow burger with truffle fries, and a double smash burger with ribbed finger potatoes. We had to get the mac and cheese balls since it was Hoppy Hour! I also didn't realize that on Wednesdays, the double smash burgers are half off. I'll definitely remember that for next time. After we ordered, the food came out quicker than I expected. It was a nice surprise. I think the first item came out about 10 minutes after our initial order. The mac and cheese balls came out hot, which was great. The breading made them super crispy and gave a nice crunch that balanced really well with the softer, chewier mac and cheese inside. I was glad the inside wasn't too runny since that would have made it like lava! I didn't see a cheese pull this time, but next time I'll try again to see if I can catch one. It was a great start to the meal. The burgers came out shortly after we finished the mac and cheese balls. I totally forgot that the truffle fries came with sauce. I should have asked for the sauce on the side, but it wasn't a problem that it was added on top of the fries. It just made them get soggy a bit faster, but that's no problem; it just means I've got to work faster! The burger was good and came out super juicy. I asked for it medium, and it looked about medium, so no complaints here! I never realized before, but the bread was so fluffy... it was a super pillowy bun with a nice bounce to it. It definitely helped balance out the meatiness of the patty. The hint of tomato gave it a nice, refreshing bite and really helped cut through the richness of the meat. The onions also added a nice sweetness to the burger, which was appreciated. I also snuck a bite of the ribbed potatoes, and they were good as well. They were a bit crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with just a touch of saltiness. I also stole a pickle from the double smash and realized I probably should have asked for pickles on my burger, but I'll remember that for my next visit!

Tried out the umami burger, with mushrooms and pickled onions, it was pretty solid! Unfortunately,…read morethe Fresno fig came out cold and the fries were overcooked/too hard. Almost like both were just left out for 30 minutes before they were put on the table. Service was fantastic, always someone coming to check on us every 15 or so minutes! Love this place for its outdoor seating, it makes for a very relaxing eating environment.
