Needed a quick bite and drink before shopping. Found this place, nice decor and plenty of seating. But we like sitting at the bar. Service is good, now the food. Beef carpaccio was tasty Order the grill artichoke it took a long time to get so it wasn't really grilled But they gave me a free birthday, dessert, butter cake and ice cream

First time experiencing North Italia, and nothing mind blowing. Ambience and aesthetics 10 out of 10. Lights are dim, and candle lit tables with flowers. The restaurant itself really clean. Service was good. I don't remember our servers name but she was pretty nice. Food wasn't what we expected. We started off with the calamari which was okay, presentation was nice but taste 6/10 at most. Although the calamari looked crispy is was a bit on the soggy side. You get marinara and what I think was called Calabrian sauce. We also tried the Caesar salad which was really good the Romain lettuce was nice and crisp. Definitely worth trying. For main entrees we tried the bolognese pasta, seared scallops, and house made pizza. Bolognese pasta was decent. The seared scallops I do not recommend if you don't like fishy. We're normally huge scallops fans but this just wasn't it. Presentation was great but everything else was pretty disappointing. Now where things went wrong... my son ordered a pizza and unfortunately his food made it out once we were all done eating. I wish they would have mentioned before ordering, that pizza would take a while and we would have ordered something else instead. I'm not one to complain so I didn't say anything but it was a bit frustrating. Although the restaurant is really nice, I probably wouldn't come back.

We've been here in the past and it wasn't that great back then. We decided to give it a try again this past weekend & unfortunately, it still doesn't stand a chance. Sorry North Italia; I wanted to love you, but the food is mediocre. It looks good, but it doesn't have that authenticity. Calamari fritti was crispy but lacked flavor. I tried the bolognese (not pictured) in the past and that too lacked flavor. Braised short rib lumache was alright, nothing special. & What Italian restaurant does not have cannoli's for dessert? Service is quick and the servers/waitress are attentive. Make sure you make reservations on Open table if you plan to dine here.

North Italia opened in Cerritos last year replacing CPK which used to be at this spot. North Italia did a great job and totally transformed this restaurant ! The food , service and ambience here is top notch ! I highly recommend their Truffle Bread, The Avocado and Arugula Salad , Tuscan Kale Salad , Zucchini Chips and their drinks ! Almost everything we ordered was great ! and friendly service always elevates the overall experience ! Highly recommended !

White Truffle Garlic Bread topped with housemate ricotta, pretty good but it's $18!

Growing up with Italian food - nothing fancy either - has made it difficult to find restaurants worth going to and spending an entire day's paycheck on so... Did North Italia finally scratch that itch I've been having for years? Honestly? Ye. Let's get into the food. Starting with the White Truffle Garlic Bread that is plastered all over yelp. The first bite was overwhelmingly garlicky - almost like it was topped with raw garlic (it wasn't) - but the other bites were much more balanced and it was very fresh and flavorful. It is topped with a ricotta that slightly resembles butter both in taste and texture so I was not a huge fan but it was a pretty solid dish. Would I order again? Probably not, since it's $18... for bread. I love bread but times are tough and I just can't justify the pricing in my head. Next we shared: Eggplant Parmesan, Funghi Pizza, Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and Caesar Salad. This threw me off completely but the highlight of our meal was the Eggplant Parmesan. It was absolutely delicious. Crispy, fresh, well-seasoned, zero bitterness, just perfect. I am not vegetarian - I probably should be - but even as a meat-eater, this dish blew everything else out of the water. 10/10. Spicy Rigatoni Vodka was delightful. I love spicy foods so my tolerance is a little higher than most, but I was surprised at the balance of heat & flavor in this dish and I would most definitely recommend and order again. Good portion as well, was able to take some home for lunch the next day - reheats very well too! 10/10 Funghi Pizza was alright. If you're familiar with fugazetta pizza, it slightly resembled that - ton of onion. Which, for a pizza called funghi, I wasn't really expecting. I love onion but I would've preferred the mushrooms made more of a stand out. Crust was very soft and yummy. Caesar Salad was underwhelming. It had a slight vinegary taste that we weren't expecting and they were stingy with the croutons, counted 2 on my plate... sadness. Small portion was $7. 6/10. Now here is my beef - desserts. This is the 2nd time I came specifically to get dessert, and I couldn't - sold out. I made an early reservation as a kind of safeguard to guarantee I'd finally be able to try their butter cake but to no avail. Sold out for a second time! I fear I'll never be able to try it. Can you guys like... make... more of it? I understand if you're near closing that you might be out but midday? The first denial of butter cake was for my birthday as well so extra heartbreaking as we had to settle for Lazy Dog and theirs is like getting a Kia when you came for a Ferrari. I do want to mention that the service here has been phenomenal on both visits and I'll be sure to grab their names on my next visit but honestly everyone here seems super chill. Food (plus service tip) was approximately $60 per person, so definitely not a casual everyday spot - which adds to my dessert frustration. I want my butter cake! Anyway... Other than my butter cake fiasco, we had a really good time and thoroughly enjoyed everything. I'd be happy to come back but if you're out of butter cake again I'm holding the chef hostage and cutely requesting he please make me one on the spot. Love you, thank you, see you next time! (For legal purposes, I am JOKING)... but please let me have cake.

Visited North Italia and it was a delicious experience! Dan was our sever, at the bar, and we were also served by an awesome bartender (didn't catch his name). Ordered the Yellowtail Crudo and the Funghi pizza. Everything was delicious and I easily could have eaten 5 plates of the Crudo as it was so delicate and decadent. For drinks, I ordered the Paradiso and Sunset Alibis, and the Paradiso was absolutely the winner here. The atmosphere is open, clean and inviting. Love the restaurants that have open doors and windows, and especially enjoyed all the real plants hanging around here. Great atmosphere, service, and food. All boxes checked here!

Delicioso North Italia! This restaurant was so so tasty, plus the vibes and staff were great as well. I would highly recommend making a reservation because I don't think my friends and I would have gotten in otherwise. We got the focaccia, which was so flaky and perfectly toasted on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There was a ball of garlic butter to spread on the bread and that was packed with flavor, a little went a longg way. Then my friends got the spicy rigatoni (highly recommend) and the bolognese (which was also delicious but not my favorite pasta dish in general). I got the hot honey and prosciutto pizza and that was SO tasty as well. Highly, highly recommend getting. We also got drinks: glass of sparkling rosé, glass of riesling, and a cocktail. The cocktail was strong but delicious, so their drinks seem great as well. The ambience was also great. I went with my friends but it seems like a great date night spot as well. Recommend!!

I had never heard of North Italia, but my partner loves this place, so we drove from DTLA to Cerritos. It's located inside the mall. The staff was super friendly, and even though the space is large, it still had a cute vibe and didn't feel crowded at all. Our server was so sweet and checked on us just the right amount. The food was amazing and came out very quickly. The pricing was also very reasonable for the portion sizes.

We came for an early lunch right when they opened at 11am. Surprised to see many others waiting and eating so early as well. I had heard excellent comments about North Italia (other locations) and was excited to try it out. It's located inside the Cerritos Shopping Center and has an outside entrance as well as a mall entrance. Plenty of parking. They have a very extensive menu from lighter bites or sandwiches to heavier entrees. We decided to order two items and share. We had the meatball sliders served on freshly baked buns. A bit to bready but the meatballs were excellent. Fries were great too. The second item, spicy sausage syromboli was excellent. Thin dough and the side Bolognese dipping sauce waa excellent too. Definitely woukd like to return for dinner soon!

Made a reservation for a Tuesday night for a girls catch-up dinner. We had tried the pizza here before and loved it, so we came back to try more. This time we ordered the prosciutto pizza -- so good. But honestly, the surprise highlight was the chicken pesto pasta. Didn't expect that to steal the show, but it did. The palermo drink was also very strong and delicious, really enjoyed that. Also have to shout out our server -- he was super sweet and really on top of everything. Gave great recommendations, checked in at the right times, and just made the whole experience better. It was pretty quiet when we got there around 5pm, but started to pick up closer to 6:30/7. We had a great time and will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Stopped here yesterday since been wanting to check them out. I ordered to go though. Service is 10/10 but food is 3/5 and probably won't come back here to eat. I ordered the Crudo Yellowtail and Garlic Bread. Fish wasn't fresh enough for my taste although was seasoned well. Bread was a bit dry, picture looked good but taste was underwhelming.

I came to North Italia for a birthday dinner, and we had a reservation. The dim ambiance created a nice, chill vibe. Our server was very friendly and attentive especially impressive since there were 17 of us, so she definitely had her hands full. I wasn't crazy about the food, although it could have just been what I ordered. Overall, I'd rate the experience a 6/10.

And this one time I was there alone with another, no other patrons just staff members walking around from time to time. We stole the moment to dance under the Long Beach sky, just the two of us as a famous Christina Perrio song gently wafted in the night breeze. At another separate time, I was at the Los Angeles County Fair with another. We rode the ferris wheel at such a time where our gondola stopped at the top just as the sun set. The moment was nothing but beautiful and life affirming because the sinking of the sun's light was like a real life video of nature happening in front of us, unburdened by static or data stall. We witnessed nature resting, and I feel, that it was a kin to a beauty falling into a gentle sleep. These two instances have a common factor: momentary bliss arrived to bless an experience because the environment supported discovery of unplanned joy. That is what I associate with the Wicked Wolf, and this time the joy arrived eventually because when my Mom and I arrived to their high tea on Mother's Day the experienced seem like it would land nowhere good. Truth be told, my mom and I arrived 15 minutes early and there was no host in the stand and the place was empty except for a foursome. The energy felt lacked luster. One or two minutes after, the bartender informed us that we were early and the host would come soon. We sat in an available sofa for two, a loveseat persay. This gave us an opportunity to admire the decor that transported us to a storybook forest where good fairies reside, not like swamp creatures and trolls with malevolent fangs and dragon green eyes. I especially loved the large roses in the ceiling. To set the stage, the black ceiling had vines hanging from it, and the few roses were pops of crimson red displayed above. These were wonderful accents to the central mural of the joint that invited the viewer within deeper into the fairy forest where a light shone on an unseen meadow. The place had the decorations and general environment to be a lavender fairy's lounge, but, it did not fully work as a team room. For instance, my mom and I were sat in another lover's couch. Initially, I did not want to sit here because we were given circular tray sets. So imagine being told to sit in a couch, and each of us would get a tv tray. So I was left to wonder if we were going to be served tea in Belle's living room or if were going to watch a flick as we ate pollo loco bowl? But then as I settled into the tranquility of the moment, saw more people come and find their seat or couch, and as the serviced picked-up I realized that this was high tea in a place that had taken disjointed beauty and tackied it together for a patched tea experience that worked well. It was like the experienced was blessed and allowed by the same spirit that brought forth Raggedy Ann. For instance, the pictures show these pretty violet petaled tea cups and matching plates. This pairing was dainty and perfect for a tea party happening under pink veils. But then the sugar cubes came in a hedgehog shaped holder which was just as precious as seeing a piglet in a carriage built for one. Then the cream carrier was in the shape of a milk carton. I wondered where the missing child portrait was? The pastry plate was in the shape of a tropical flower like the ones scattered all over Hawaii. It belonged in a beautiful lei. Each of these elements was cute in its own delicate and whimsical way but together they made an eclectic hodgepodge, not a coherent tea set. And in this asymmetry laid the glitter of their error. The host also brought these clip on dainty hats that were perfect touches for make believe tea party. He carried them around in their original packing, including the box they came in. Not exactly the tailor of the queen, offering hats to the villagers as a gift from her to them, but still the effort magnified the moment. The tea food was the worst stumble that Red took as she was being chased by the Wicked Wolf. To begin with the end analysis, the tea offerings in general were standard, and not bites fit for a princess and her wedding court. For instance, the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich was just that---- a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. I detected no effort to make it more than that. The blueberry scone was solid, nothing to skip through a meadow about. But once you added the jam of the table to the scone it was much easier to enjoy. I also had a madeline that was fluffy in the center but could have been purchased maybe at Costco. I had a Macaron and same thing, delicious but I have had something similar before and I suspected that it did not come from a place afloat with Parisian affairs. The best part of the tiers was this puff like thing that had like a Concha texture and design at the top. It was a sweet filled bite that was fit for a man made of muffin.

This area is vintage vibes and Baby Gee speaks it fluently. Really cool decor, curated by the owners who design everything from the playlist to the cocktails to the invention of never-before-seen flavors and shapes of jello shots. Try the Baby Gee appletini while you're there. Mezcal, tequila, sake appletini you ask?? Yes. Trust. And get a hot dog. Do it.

This is definitely a place with a very Long Beach vibe (so it really depends on what you think…read moreabout Long Beach in general). The seating is a little funky, but the drinks are solid. The food is definitely bar food that's ideal for late night eats while buzzed, and the service is fast! Food: 3.5/5 Drinks: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 3.5/5 Overall: 4/5

False Advertising and Total Failure of a "Speakeasy"…read more This place should not call itself a speakeasy. According to their website, they are strict about dress code, reservations, and no large parties. None of that was enforced. People arrived wearing sports clothes, tennis shoes, and flip-flops, and a group of more than 10 people was allowed in. That group was loud, drunk, and screaming, completely destroying any speakeasy ambiance. We had a reservation booked one week in advance for 2 tables of six, yet by 8:30 pm, we were told no food was available, despite the bar being almost empty. The water was already on the table when we arrived and tasted strongly of chlorine, with no ice. The waitress was clearly new, untrained, and unprepared. She did not know the menu, didn't know how to take an order properly, and provided no guidance whatsoever. There was one bartender Ricardo, who took over an hour to prepare cocktails and showed no sense of urgency or care. The dramatic cocktail descriptions sounded impressive, but the drinks did not match the descriptions at all. Because of the delays, we were never even able to properly toast or celebrate our friend. The charcuterie board took forever and arrived with an absurd amount of cheese and only six pieces of bread. To make things worse, part of the food we ordered never arrived at all. The live jazz band advertised and promised never showed up. When asked, the staff responded with: "I don't know, they were supposed to be here. I don't have their phone number." That level of disorganization is unacceptable. At the end of the night, we were shocked to receive a check close to $600 for two tables, despite each person only having one cocktail and shared food. The bartender, Ricardo, approached us and said: "Well, sorry, we really tried tonight! It wasn't the best, but we tried." Honestly, that comment made the experience even more frustrating. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if they hadn't "tried."That statement perfectly summarizes the problem -- trying is not enough when everything fails. I would not recommend this place for a speakeasy experience. This is not a speakeasy. It's a poorly run bar hiding behind a concept it does not deliver. Do not recommend.

I give it a 1 because 0 was not an option. Absolute disaster. Avoid this place at all costs. What…read morewas supposed to be a classy night celebrating a 50th birthday turned into a complete nightmare. This is not a speakeasy, it's a tiny, rundown bar pretending to be something it's not. The staff was inexperienced, dismissive, and unprofessional. Drinks were outrageously overpriced and took forever to arrive. The food was a joke, a $60 charcuterie board made up of cheap grocery store cheese, ham, and crackers that didn't come close to justifying the price. We were served warm water that tasted like chlorine, and the response from staff was literally "I don't know, I just work here." At one point both waitresses vanished, leaving the bartender overwhelmed and everything grinding to a halt. The live jazz band they advertise never showed up, and staff had no explanation or contact info. The so-called dress code was completely ignored, with groups in jeans and sneakers flooding in, turning the place loud, chaotic, and classless. This place delivers nothing it promises. It's not a speakeasy, it's a poorly run bar that shouldn't be in business. Strongly do not recommend, and honestly, I want my money back.
