We ordered the Pork Belly Oshi and the Rock Shrimp Tempura to start. The Pork Belly Oshi was good, though I wish the rice had been crispier. The Rock Shrimp Tempura was delicious--the creamy spicy sauce was so good. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen (no mushrooms because my boyfriend is allergic) and added the small Chashu Rice Bowl for $5. The broth was amazing--rich and creamy without being too heavy. The rice bowl was good too, though I wish the mayo on top had a little spice. Adding chili oil and sriracha fixed that. My boyfriend got the Chicken Shoyu Ramen, and after stealing a sip of his broth, I can confirm it was delicious too. The service was excellent. The host was super friendly and gave manager/owner vibes, our server was great, and other staff members checked on us throughout the meal. We had such a great experience here! MJ and Nick were incredibly kind, welcoming, and hospitable. It was later in the evening and we had our kids with us, and they went out of their way to give them coloring activities and stickers to keep them entertained so we could relax and enjoy a quick drink. Mmmm! My wife, kids, and I went here for a late dinner. We got parked (free) with no problems, and had to wait for about 10 minutes to seat 7 of us (family and a couple of kids' friends). Service was great, and a very comfortable environment. We all had to go with the Umaya ramen because it looked so good, and it was. It was a perfect balance of flavors, noodles were cooked perfectly, and it came in just the right amount. I think we have found our go-to ramen place in Cerritos! Food was excellent, priced fairly, and great service. We ordered Black Garlic Tonkatzu. The soup was excellent, and it's not too salty like many other ramen places. I ordered extra hot water on the side just in case, and I didn't have to use. My wife likes her noodles al dente and it came out perfectly. I like my noodles softer, asked and got what I liked. Only thing is their portions seem slightly smaller than normal, and only 1 piece of meat and half of an egg. This was ok for us as we are not too much a big eater, and I liked the soup a lot so I nearly drank it all. Strongly recommending to order extras for a larger appetite.
