Ramen Zuru is cool. I came on a Thursday night and there was no wait. We started with the chicken karaage ($8.50). Honestly, they were giving more popcorn chicken than karaage. The chicken came in more bite sized pieces and the batter was fluffier. I topped mine with the chili oil and they were delish with the added heat. I ordered the spicy green curry ramen ($13.95) because how could I not. It's a green curry broth, pork chashu, bean sprouts, fried shallot, coconut milk and chili oil. The broth was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. It's light, but distinctly curry in flavor. I'd like to add that the chili oil is not for the faint of heart - it's spicy, and more spicy. Thank goodness for that bean sprouts which helped with the cool down. We also tried the miso ramen ($13.95) which was good, but nothing to write home about. I really liked my meal at Ramen Zuru. It was easy, tasty, and relatively cheap. Highly recommend trying the spicy green curry ramen if you're looking for a new take on ramen.

We forgot to take a before photo because we were so excited to eat, and it did not disappoint! We ordered takoyaki, tokatsu ramen and chicken katsu curry - all very delicious. We particularly love the rich broth of the tonkatsu ramen and the chashu topping was killer! Melts in your mouth porky goodness

My friend and I stopped by Ramen Zuru for a weeknight dinner and left feeling satisfied. Although the name of this spot has ramen in it, they also have curry and rice bowls on the menu in addition to the ramen. I opted for the chicken katsu curry which came with the chicken katsu itself, curry, rice, and a side salad. Overall, I thought it was an enjoyable meal. The portions were decently sized and I was even able to bring leftovers home. I wouldn't say that this is the best curry katsu I've ever had, but it definitely hits the spot if you're craving it! The restaurant itself is on the smaller end, but there's definitely a cozy ambiance that gives me Japan vibes. Service was friendly and we were checked up on often. It is located in the same plaza as 99 ranch market, so there's plenty of parking in the lot.

Tiny hole in the wall in the shopping plaza. Great for a rainy day some ramen. I got the miso ramen. Id give it a 8/10. The broth was very flavorful and the chasu was delicious & fatty.

Ordered myself the Tonkotsu Ramen with extra chasu and egg while my wife ordered herself a chicken katsu. Let's just say the bowl did not stand a chance. Server was very nice and attentive. Immediately brought us water while we decide what to get. As far as the overall appearance of the establishment. It gives you a typical modern hole in the wall restaurant. Very small with limited seating. The artwork on the wall is definitely unique in a sense that if you are a Pokemon master, you'd probably ask for those art work to go. We will definitely come back!

Just an ordinary ramen. Ordered their lunch special. Came with free drink. Broth is creamy and not salty. Noodles is al dente. Fast service. Place is clean and lots of parking.

The atmosphere was cozy, with cute wall decorations. The service was excellent and accommodating to my order. The chashu pork was incredibly tender, melting in my mouth, and the Katsu Curry was comforting and consistently delicious. Definitely coming back.

One of our go to whenever we crave for ramen. Inside is relatively small with 4-5 tables and a bar area- intimate spot but delivers big on taste, offering a variety of traditional ramen dishes and delicious rice meals. The ramen here is a really good, with rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles that will transport you straight to Japan. But it's not just about the ramen. Their rice meals are equally impressive. The chicken katsu with curry is crispy and tender (always a hit with the kids), while the chashu bowl brings a savory, melt-in-your-mouth experience that will have you coming back for more. One of the best parts? From 11:30 AM to 4 PM daily, all ramen and rice meals come with a complimentary drink - a perfect way to cool off or enhance a meal! The service is also quick and friendly, ensuring that you don't have to wait long to indulge in your meal. Whether you're a ramen connoisseur or just looking for a satisfying meal, Ramen Zuru offers the kind of Japanese comfort food that's hard to beat. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. I came in around 8pm, an hour before closing. The place is small but we were the only ones there and the vibe was very chill. The food is flavorful and just delicious. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and the Chicken Karaage Bowl. The broth of the ramen was rich and creamy, the chashu pieces (2) were full of flavor, and the marinated soft boiled egg was perfect. The chicken in the bowl was nicely seasoned and perfectly fried, great crunch. There are chopsticks, napkins, chili oil sauce, chili powder, and soy sauce already on the table which is very convenient, no need to wave anyone down. I came here based on the other reviews, and the negative reviews I read are such BS after coming here myself. I'd recommend everyone to try this place out, 10/10. Not sure how the ambiance is earlier in the day when it's busy, but the evening was nice. Great food and even greater prices. Already planning my next visit!

Had a quick early dinner here and it was pretty decent! Had their shoyu ramen and my husband got their tonkatsu. I really enjoyed the chicken ramen, it was delicious! It was very hearty, full of meat and veggies and broth was tasty. I really liked the noodles as well. Will def be back to get this again. They have a good amount of things in the menu that would be great to try next time. Service is pretty good too, nice servers and food came out timely. Overall decent ramen place around Artesia! It's def worth a try.

Checked out Ramen Zuru this past Saturday night around 7 and was able to be seated right away (though it did get full throughout the rest of our dinner!). Server was very kind! I got the vegetarian ramen. The broth itself wasn't standout, just a more clear and salty broth. The noodles were very good and they gave a lot. They gave a fair amount of tofu, it just didn't taste of much. The added greens and mushrooms were appreciated! I wish they fried the cauliflower differently too. Overall, a good bowl of ramen and cheaper than a lot of other ramen spots nowadays, but nothing special.

Great local spot for ramen and other yummy Japanese foods. I've been here twice now and enjoyed both times. My husband likes the curry and I like the tonkotsu ramen. I ask for my soup to be extra hot because the soup temp during my first visit wasn't as hot as I like. The servings are good size for the price and they have a free drink offer when you dine between 11:30a to 4p. The service is friendly and attentive. I will be back!

Overall portions felt large and filling for the price, quality of the food was okay. Do come for noodles and karaage. Parking not an issue as it is part of a plaza. Service was solid and the interior of the shop is very cute. Doesn't seem to get too busy for dine in. Karaage is good and comes with a sweet mayo sauce. Usually at other places I've seen the pieces are bigger. These are more like popcorn chicken sized but weren't too oily. We ended up ordering some to take home because it makes for a really nice snack. Miso ramen with udon was alright. Too much corn, but the meat was good and the broth was hearty, though would be nice if it had a more flavorful broth. The Nacho Zuru relies a bit too much on sauce instead of toppings for flavor. Would not get it again. Cheese katsu had too much rice and not enough curry. The cheese was also layered on the top as opposed to being cooked on the inside of the meat. However, the pieces of meat were really big.

tldr; a pretty bad review…read more Ok, I love Pepper Lunch, and I frequent this place at LEAST quarterly. BUT, service on Sunday 4/26/26 around 1:45PM was not it. There was a female employee, a little on the shorter side with dyed blonde hair, bold winged eyeliner, and tats who just really came off as rude. My friends and I came in for a post-church lunch and were a party of 10. However, we all came straggling in, so in bits and pieces. This employee gave us attitude and rolled her eyes when she noticed us saving seats for our friends yet to come. There isn't a policy posted against it, so I don't understand why she reacted that way. After, another employee offered us the large table near the entrance, but they just needed to clean it (a party was there when we had first entered). I and my friends present at the time decided to put our orders in at the kiosk while we waited. So we wait patiently and then headed over. As we were trying to figure out our seating arrangement, the original female employee (who had rolled her eyes) brought out two plates and was holding them. We were trying to figure out who ordered what when she just blurted out "I'm just gonna put these down" in a really sarcastic and annoyed tone and then just walked away. Literally she might as well have told us "your problem, not mine." I understand the hot plates were heavy, and I'm not disagreeing that she should've put them down. BUT, she could have kindly asked to set them down or been more helpful but letting us know which number the plates corresponded to, but she didn't even do that. Literally just set them down and dipped. I definitely felt really angry because she cannot talk to my friends like that. Terrible customer service skills. Will I come back here? Probably because I love the food (portions are getting smaller though). But if I get this girl again, I WILL bring saying something next time to her and management because this is unacceptable. I hope management can address this issue so there isn't a next time for this type of service, whether it's me or someone else.

After we graduated, we promised to have a little reunion here as adults when we were old enough to drink. This little reunion happened recently. My little sister, who is 17, knew I was meeting my friends for dinner and asked if she could come. Since I knew we would be drinking, I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if she could sit with us since she wouldn't be drinking. They said no. If we were drinking, she couldn't be there. I thought it was unfortunate, but I told my sister she couldn't come to dinner with us. But what was really annoying is that after we ordered alcohol, our server didn't card us. I went out of my way to uninvite my sister because they said she couldn't be there, and they didn't even check. I thought it was a dumb rule in the first place, but it was really annoying that they didn't even enforce it after I went out of my way to ask. The pork belly skewers were really good. There's a big super traditional looking grill at the front of the restaurant, so I guess they're super serious about their skewers. The okonomiyaki was good too. We decided to try the rose tteokbokki since it was a new menu item, but we were unimpressed. There were barely any toppings inside. We also got the steamed squid, but I thought it was a bit overcooked. We might've stayed a little longer, but the sight of a cockroach climbing on our table sent a chill down our spines. We told a server that we saw a cockroach, but she just stared at us blankly and walked away without doing anything. After that, we had serious issues about the perceived cleanliness of the restaurant and left immediately.  I'm disappointed. In the end, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling I was yearning for. I think there were several interactions with the workers that they could have handled better. I cleared my little side quest, so I don't think I have a reason to ever return.
