Stopped by for lunch earlier today and it was a good spot to scratch that hot pot itch! I ordered the Kimchi hot pot which I shared with a friend. We opted to get the vermicelli noodles instead of the white rice. The pot took around 10-15 minutes to arrive. The server lit up the pot for us. It was loaded with plenty of kimchi and plenty of meat and seafood like shrimp, fish balls, imitation crab, and tofu. The flavor of the broth was decently strong, not the spiciest I've had but not the weakest. The restaurant is very modern and clean. So far, I had the House style and the Thai style soups. I had spice level 4 and I was able to manage it. Lots of broth refills and water refills without having to ask. I wouldn't say they are better than Boiling Point because their flavors are definitely different. Stopped by for lunch on a weekend. There is a parking lot but it is pretty small and crowded so some cars double parked. We ended up parking on the street. Inside there were many 4-person booths along the walls and in the center were 8-person booths that could be reconfigured for parties of 4. We liked that you have a choice of different Asian dishes to try. We got curry hot pot, prime rib shabu shabu, and a Lomo soltado garlic noodles. There was also sizzling steak, rice dishes, and pho too. The hot pot bowls were all pre configured so you just pick your heat level and it comes to you ready to eat on a mini heat stand. The curry was light and pared well with rice. The shabu shabu is the same as hot pot except you cook yourself! You select the soup, the noodle, and the protein. The prime rib was tasty though not sure how "prime" it was though as the fat didn't seem that well marbled. I also wanted to try Lomo soltado, which was available in garlic noodles form. I had a very disappointing experience during my visit. When I brought up that there was a hair in my food, the employee I spoke with was rude and placed the blame on me rather than addressing the issue professionally. He refused to provide his name and also did not want the owner to be informed, which was concerning. I hope the owner can review the security footage from 12/13/25 between 9:00-9:42 PM, which will show that the hot pot was still boiling and that I had not started eating until about 10 minutes after it was served. All of the food was still in the pot when I noticed the hair. For food safety and hygiene, I strongly recommend that kitchen staff wear hairnets while preparing food. Parking can get hectic but somehow we haven't had any issues yet (there's a card shop that seems to be popular in the plaza). This is our second time there, and I really enjoy the garlic noodles with steak, and my husband enjoys the steak entree. Marinated steak with garlic noodles that are flavorful and not overwhelming, plus it comes with a salad. My only gripe is the paper cups. Not enough to minus a star, but it's definitely not something you'd expect from a sit in restaurant (unless they were serving pizza to go). On Saturday, December 13, my family and I went to Red Flame for a late dinner. The first sign that something was wrong was that we waited over 20 minutes for our order to be taken. When the food came out, my wife's order (ramen) did not come out. When we inquired about the delay, the waiter (who later refused to identify himself; however, he stated he was the owner) ran outside to another customer who was inside a vehicle getting ready to drive away. The waiter told us he had placed the order to go, given it to another customer, and would place another order. Less than five minutes later, he returned with the soup in a bowl. When we inquired whether he had made a new order or just poured the food (which he had to retrieve from another customer), he said he had poured the used food into a bowl and expected us to eat it. When we asked him to remake the order fresh because there's no way we were eating food that had been touched by someone else, the waiter became incredulous. Approximately twenty minutes later (after waiting forty minutes or so), the waiter dumped the food on the table and walked away, without apologizing or mentioning the delay. At this point, my wife no longer wanted the food, and, truthfully, who knows what they did to the soup? We asked for the bill. This man had the nerve to charge us for the soup, which we didn't want at this point. The waiter had the nerve to argue with us, trying to explain why we should eat the food that had been touched and remixed. This is where it got bad. The waiter took the food, walked to his register, and screamed like a madman. He then brought us our bill and told us never to come back. Having been thoroughly disrespected at this point, I walked back into the restaurant to inquire about this man's name. It should be noted that this is a restaurant my family has patronized for over 3 years, having spent thousands of dollars over the years. I'm writing this to let everyone know about the level of service we received and warn you to eat there at your own risk. The individual who treated us so poorly is a male Asian with black hair. We've been patronizing Red Flame since Covid. It was so hard to get into before then! Luckily to go orders are so easy. They lost a star because the soup doesn't come with enough broth for to-go orders. We've only dined in-house once. It's always clean and still gets a pretty decent crowd. Solid and consistent each time. My husband usually gets the beef noodle soup with extra beef and I generally get the garlic noodles and steak. But the house special ramen is solid too!
