As a first-timer, I found the process here confusing. Unlike other Mongolian BBQ spots where you fill your own bowl, the employee dishes it up for you. Unfortunately, the man working seemed annoyed when I asked questions about the meat options. When he added my vegetable choices, he didn't ask how much I wanted and just grabbed the amounts himself, so I wasn't sure how much I was actually getting. I have been coming to this Mongolian location for many years, back when we were able to serve our own ingredients. The last two times my mom and I came we were helped by the same cashier. I walked to re register and the cashier was in her phone and she didn't acknowledge me and continued being on her phone, she finally looked up and did not greet me. I ended up getting the regular plate. When it came to getting the ingredients she was in a hurry and was barely putting any on the plate, I asked for more and she looked at me with angry eyes and continued rushing me the whole time, the last part was to put the garlic and the sauces she was so mad that she ended spilling most of the garlic and the chilli oil all over the counter. I don't appreciate how rude she has been the two times I've gone with my mom, she definitely needs to work on her customer service. The food over all doesn't disappoint it's always really good and the cooks are very nice. read more

June 2022 Came here post-workout ready for some carbs. The staff was still setting up all the ingredients so there was a small wait. due to covid they no longer let the customers serve themselves. at the register, you'll be provided a check-in list with all the ingredients. the cashier will ask which size you would like for the food; small (4oz), medium, or large. April April is a great cashier for this location and I appreciate when she prepares my food and follows my instructions. The cooks are a hit or miss but I love when they cook my meat well done to give it that perfect blend of flavor. I love when they pay attention to details. The cooks are great, I am happy with the service they provide. What I have a problem is when certain people do not listen to instructions such as a simple order of beef and broccoli only, and she decides to add other items I do not want or add sauces I do not want, but she highly insists. She is a older Hispanic lady and she is always greedy with the food, she doesn't give you the broccoli, she gives you two small scoops and if you have ask for more she gives you literally (2) pieces extra and gives you a look. Last time, she moved plates in front of me to get cooked and she thought I didn't notice. I called her on her actions and her excuse was "they paid more". I don't like that and I don't want that type of service. I hope the manager or owner tell her not to be like that or I won't be visiting anymore. I asked for medium....I really don't know what I got but it was enough for two people or one skinny mofo that eats a lot. Best customer service in 2022 I have seen so far. I love sign in sheets. I chose them over Panda. Khan's simple but savory menu is worth it. I got their regular bowl and it was an excellent amount of food. These guys are 5 stars to me and they deserve a 4.78 or higher average in the fast food takeout category. To be honest, once I started getting into the dish, I kept eating. Really tasty, not over salted. I was able to choose and easily customize my order. They prepared the chicken like brisket in a way. The food is under cooked. I'd recommend leaving the noodles on the grill for 30 more seconds. Pricing is crazy $19 (after tax) for the regular bowl. The price is not a problem if the taste is worth it, but it isn't. I asked for less sauce since a kid was going to eat it. Over priced fried noodle place that you think you can pick as much as you want but you can actually fit so much in a small bowl because most meat choices are frozen and curled into large hollow pieces so that you are unable to fit 5 to 6 pieces of thin sliced meat. Quality ingredients. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. I love the fact that the place offers vegetarian options + doesn't limit choices for customers if they decide to combine any meat (beef, pork, and chicken) especially for the carnivore lovers. The combination is a great deal and will get you super full + they give you free refills!!! All bowls give you the opportunity to fill up with meats, vegetables, sauce toppings, and noodles! Soup is yummy, savory, and affordable. Great to order when you are sick. They also provide free empty condiment containers just in case you're packing up a lunch to-go or filling up for a huge family order. I love Mongolian. I usually eat at this place in Riverside near UCR. I thought this place was going to be very similar to the one in riverside. Something weird that stood out to me was pouring your own sauce and pouring the sauce on the uncooked frozen meat first. I thought that was strange. The beef & pork aren't the greatest cuts but the turkey and chicken are okay. The toppings are abundant and the noodles are consistent and never over cooked. For the price however, I'd much rather go to Caesar's off Del Amo for an AYCE. I added extra noodles for $2 for the kiddos and the total came to $13.07! It's really an art figuring out how to fix all the toppings you want without everything tipping over. You order at the cashier and pay. The worker will give you a tray with an empty bowl and utensils. You are free to make your way through the line and add on whatever meat and veggies you want. Meats come first and they ask that you don't push down on the meat with your hands (let's be real, everyone does it anyways). Then pile on all the veggies you want. The worker at the end will add whatever sauces you ask for then noodles. It's then taken to the grill and everything is cooked together! My usual is chicken, bean sprouts, cabbage, onions, mushrooms, and brocolli. I get every sauce available on it, plus hot sauce and garlic. It's so delicious and the portions are huge! I love this stuff, but my last experience was disappointing. The juices were spilled in the bag & there was a leak on the bottom of the box. I transferred the noodles to the other side of the box and noticed the Styrofoam melted and burned. I'm not sure what caused this, but I know that the noodles could not have been healthy for anyone to eat. The noodles come fresh off the grill, so it was most likely the heat. I would suggest that they line the bottom of the box with foil. read more

But don't let that fool you they make you buy 7 to get one free. I came in for my free bowl because last time the lady said oh your next bowl is free, then I come to the mall to show them I have a free bowl and he said oh you have to buy one more to get a free bowl. This place is not closed. It has new owner. Overall, the bowl is smaller compared to the previous bowl. Food still taste great. I gave it a 4 stars because every time I go to this place, I mostly fill my bowl with more veggies than meat. If a Mexican guy put the noodle on my bowl, he gave me a good amount of noodle. If the Korean owner does it, she gives me less noodles. Also I don't like about this place is that I can't get my own pineapple or chestnuts unless I asked for it. If it ain't broke don't fix it !! I've been going to this place for years . Great service and great food every time . I went here and noticed something different . They had no tomatoes, different noodles, and a brown box to hold the food in. The place probably got a new manager or something and tried to fix it. Usually there is a line and many people waiting in line for the delicious food but when I went there was no line and hardly any people waiting. My family and I have been coming here for years. As time have passed, the price of a bowl just keeps creeping up and up... A bowl is currently priced at 9.99. It used to only be 7.99! The amount of food you can stuff in that bowl if you do some strategic planning is enough for 2 people. Concept: you get an empty bowl and you are able to fit as much food as possible in this said bowl. They have the option of turkey, pork, chicken and beef for protein. My strategy is to pick the meat that are flat versus rolled up since they take up less room. I like to line my bowl with the meat, with the meat extending past the bowl so the meat itself is acting as the bowl. Then you can pack on as many veggies as possible. There is a sauce station at the end. I usually go for the mild sauce, garlic, BBQ sauce and lemon juice. Tip: don't worry about the noodles not fitting at the end. The workers here are very good about giving you enough noodles even if your bowl is overflowing. I would definitely recommend this place! The taste is amazing. STONEWOOD MALL COULD REALLY LEARN SOME THINGS!!! Although they have the same small bowls, they allow you to fill them up and they put the noodles on the grill, not on top of your food, so you don't get ripped off!! They have actual paper bags "to go" with their name and logo (not grocery bags they've been collecting), and they have REAL to go plates that don't melt and leak your food all over the place! It may be a very small space, but they use it well and they have far more VARIETY when it comes to their toppings and vegetables!!! (Meats, onions, cabbage, jalapeños, green onions, small corn, celery, carrots, bell peppers, bean sprouts, squash, mushrooms, broccoli, cilantro, pineapple, sausage etc) whereas Stonewood only has a couple and they will tell you straight out that it's because the other stuff is too expensive to buy and the owner doesn't want to. I don't think the meat is of the highest quality. It always has a slightly odd taste. But one day, I understood the appeal of this place, and now I'm a fan. It's a little over $11, so it isn't the cheapest thing at the mall, BUT if you plan right and stack everything in the logical way, you get so much food that you can easily share it among three people. It's better to press the meat to one side of the bowl and make it stand like a wall of sorts. Then it can support all the veggies. I like that they are pretty generous with the noodle. But the thing that I realized, the thing that makes this place so appealing is the fact that they don't cook with lots of oils. They use the water and sauce on the giant griddle so that the food ends up tasting pretty clean. I don't get the constant oily taste in my burping or anything, which is a real plus. I come here about 2-3 times a month because my kids love this place as well. It feels a lot healthier than regular chowmein. read more
