Absolutely -- for Yelp/Google, I'd make it more concise, punchy, and personal, while keeping the specific food recommendations and the staffing issue because those are the most useful details for other diners. 3.9/5 I was craving gyozas and wanted to take my son somewhere nearby for a little pre-birthday celebration, so we decided to try this spot in Cerritos. First impressions: We walked in and stood around for about two minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We were eventually told we could sit wherever we wanted and were given menus pretty quickly. However, it took another seven minutes or so before anyone came over to take our drink or food order. We ordered the gyozas, broccolini, pork bun, and two ramen bowls. Gyozas -- 4/5 Really good! Fresh and flavorful. They only came with one dipping sauce, so if you're a soy sauce person, I'd recommend asking for some on the side. Broccolini -- 4/5 Crispy, flavorful, and had a nice tang from the sauce. Definitely one of my favorites. Pork Bun -- 4/5 Another must-try! Honestly, the gyozas, broccolini, and pork bun are the three things I'd recommend ordering. All three were fresh and flavorful. Ramen -- 4/5 Both bowls were tasty. My only complaint was that my ramen didn't have as much broth as I expected. The chicken, however, was VERY flavorful and incredibly tender. I added extra garlic and mushrooms and substituted spinach for the kale, and those additions worked really well. The service This is where the experience fell short. We went on a Monday around 6 p.m., and the restaurant was pretty full. It was very obvious they were short-staffed. Kennedy seemed to be doing EVERYTHING -- taking orders, serving, getting refills, helping with takeout, and cleaning. There was also a gentleman bringing food out, who I assume was the food runner. I have to give Kennedy credit because she was working hard, but one person shouldn't have to carry that much of the restaurant during a busy dinner service. We also weren't checked on after our food arrived, so getting refills or anything else we needed was difficult. I really hope the staffing situation was just an off night because I think having at least three people on the floor during a busy dinner period would make a huge difference. Customer Service: 3.8/5 Music: 5/5 I was LOVING the music. Definitely vibing the entire time! Cleanliness: 5/5 The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. I didn't use the bathrooms, so I can't speak to those. Decor/Aesthetics: 5/5 I really liked the atmosphere and decor. A little dimmer lighting could make it feel even cozier. The one thing I'd change is the bar area. There were quite a few containers stacked around it, which made it look a little cluttered and less inviting. Overall 3.9/5 I enjoyed the food and the overall vibe, and I'd come back to try some other menu items. If you're going, don't skip the gyozas, broccolini, and pork bun! Those were definitely the standouts for me. The biggest thing holding this place back for me was the service, but it seemed more like a staffing issue than an issue with the staff themselves. Nice, cozy spot for ramen. Got sat down immediately for a weekday. Workers are nice and attentive. There's only 1-2 people on the floor taking orders/serving, so it'll take some time to get served. Food was pretty good! I recommend the combo deal: ramen + side dish for ~$20. We waited around 10 minutes though for the check until I flagged the workers. I just stopped into silver lake ramen in Cerritos. I've been hesitant to try ramen place until I actually had a craving for ramen, well today is the day! The place has a cool vibe to it hard to explain it in words but felt relaxed as I came in. I ordered some Gyoza on the side and the main meal was the Shoyu Ramen dish with pork as a protein, bamboo shoots, seaweed, spinach, green onion, seasoned egg and pork. I also had a regular Coke to wash it down! Looks really good huh? Ok gyoza is really tasty, a bit of spiciness to it but you can put lemon juice on it makes it good. Service is friendly with touches of LA seen throughout the store. I had the spicy chicken bun and ordered a bowl of Blaze with medium spicy-ness. The bun itself mentioned it had ghost pepper, the flavor was okay, the nap was sweet and it lessened the heat from the chicken. The bowl of ramen itself was flavorful and at the medium heat level, did cause my nose to run a little but it wasn't too hot, the noodles were chewy. I had also tried the karaage, I wish it was crunchier and needed the sauce. Stars taken due to overall experience. The floors were wet when they opened, I was careful walking around but definitely slipped moving around. There was a strong smell of vinegar coming from the kitchen at one point that didn't go away until the food started to be ordered/coming out. Been on the hunt for a ramen spot that serves truffle ramen similar to Momofuku in Vegas and although it's not quite the same, they do have a Garlic Truffle Ramen here which is good enough to satisfy the craving. Not a lot of places have truffle ramen on the menu so I'll take it. The truffle flavor comes from truffle oil so the taste is pretty subtle. The broth is more garlic forward, it's rich and creamy. They have a bunch of options for toppings to enhance the ramen and it's served in a deep bowl so you're getting a good amount. The space is on the smaller side so you'll usually have to put your name down and wait a bit before getting seated. It's not the most authentic Japanese ramen but it's worth checking out. read more

Passed by this place so many times, today was my forst time getting Silverlake Ramen. Ordered the combo with (4) Chicken Karaage. It's pretty good, took only 7-8 minutes from ordering to be prepared. The sitting area is nice, wasn't packed but had good seats and space compared to other ramen establishments. The only thing stopping this one from 5 stars is there are ramen houses that aren't chains in the area with better broth and slightly bigger portions, but this was a fair order. This location is small and you will feel panicky if you're claustrophobic, but if you're normal, then it won't bother you. We came on a rainy Saturday today and it took 45 mins to be seated. We came on a weekday after the lunch rush and only half the restaurant was filled. We ordered our food and patiently waited. The table next to us who came later than us got their food. We continued to wait and 30 minutes after our order was placed the server let us know our order got "lost". I was initially frustrated because I left work 2 hours early to try and have a late lunch with my kids to celebrate my son's birthday. My son said it was fine and not to make a big deal. I didn't want to ruin his day so we placed our order again. The server more than tried to accommodate the situation offering an upgrade on the chicken and removing 1 ramen from our bill. We thought that was a nice gesture focusing on customer service. We ordered ramyun. Spicy tonkotsu with pork, regular tonkotsu with chicken, and the black garlic truffle ramen wth pork. Both kids liked their tonkotsu ramen. I enjoyed the black garlic truffle ramen but wished there was a stronger truffle flavor. But overall, the broth was well seasoned and the noodles were good. Food - ordered the garlic truffle ramen which is an absolute flavor bomb. You're hit with a rich velvety texture balanced by the earthy depth of truffle oil and the warm kick of garlic. The noodles are thick which is how I like it, but I think even though the flavor was deep it was missing some final incorporation to bring the dish together. Great options to choose from however everything lacked flavor. Broth was super thin too like water, no type of depth to it at all. Even after adding some garlic, etc nothing helped.
