50% off rolls
Emerald Y.

I always come here to get their 50% off rolls and it's definitely worth the affordable price! I decided to dine in for dinner with my bf and they moved us from a 4 seated table to a 2 seated table (so they could fit another party). We didn't mind moving at all and truly didn't see it being a problem. However, to our surprise, the chef made us a free salmon dish for the "inconvenience." That shows you what kind of service this place has! :3 the rolls are good for what you're paying!

My favorite ramen / sushi spot to go to. Every one is always so welcoming and nice each time we visit. This place's ramen is my favorite, very flavorful. I usually have them make it spicy and it has a nice little kick to it. There is a wide selection of sushi rolls to pick from and love that they have specials on them. No matter what we order , we always enjoy our food. Forgot to take a picture of my ramen last time we went .

They have 50% off some rolls on the menu, which is a good deal. However, I felt like most of the rolls on that menu had the same or similar ingredients, so there was little variety. The rolls were fat, but didn't have much flavor and the fish was bland. The service was just okay.

If you're looking for a Japanese restaurant with various options, try this place. They a menu for rolls that is always 50% off. They have good selection of appetizers. Servers are great and attentive. The restaurant is pretty small but we got seated right away at all times when we visit.

Sam roll, baked baby scallop roll, and salmon skin roll

Came in around 7pm on Saturday. No wait and it was pretty crowded. We ordered the tampopo ramen, salmon skin roll, scallop roll, and Sam roll. 4/5 Sam roll was our favorite since it was the only half off roll without spicy tuna and imitation crab filling. 3/5 The salmon skin one wasn't crispy and it was a bit tough to eat 3/5 Baked Scallop roll was your least favorite. They had a way too much sauce on top of it. If I had known, I would've asked for less. The baby scallops themselves were actually pretty good though. But we actually ended up leaving three pieces of the California rolls because it was just meh 3/5 the tampopo Ramen wasn't anything amazing. Definitely wouldn't come here for Ramen again. But given that it was $13 for the Ramen, it's actually not that back compared to the other places in Cerritos at $18 which specializes in Ramen. The food came out quite quickly, but the waiters never asked once how everything was because I probably would've returned the baked scallop roll. This your standard Japanese sushi spot if you want to hit the cravings. But nothing worth checking out if you're traveling or visiting.

Amazing experience! I accidentally ordered a non-vegan ramen, and TJ handled it with so much kindness and patience. He checked in throughout the whole meal, and the service felt genuinely thoughtful. The veggie ramen and sushi were really good, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. I'll be back for sure -- shoutout to TJ and the whole crew!

My parents and I love Tampopo and their lovely and affordable lunch menu. The portions are huge. The food is delicious. The service is always friendly. The ambiance is a little stale inside but nothing uncomfortable. Never had a problem finding parking.

Once upon a time, another Yelp-worthy find! We stopped here for some delicious ramen and sushi rolls. We had the chicken ramen, spicy ramen, and a crunch roll. The ramen was hardy and delicious - they do not skimp on the noodles. The sushi roll was great! The end.

Located in a busy strip mall, this gem of a Japanese restaurant is worth the trip. They always make you feel welcome, and have a great selection of sushi rolls, ramen, bento, sashimi, and udon. Plenty of side dish options such as tempura, edamame, California roll, and sushi. You can choose from multiple entrees such as salmon, mackerel, chicken teriyaki, and my favorite the sesame chicken.

First time I came was 6 years ago! (Pic with me in glasses) Wow! The same cute guy brought me back on a date a few months ago. And today, was super cold so I craved ramen again and he brought me back here. Awwww! I like this place! Keep forgetting to get sushi though but it's our new thing to get the lunch special with dumplings + a soft boiled egg + a Japanese beer ("Sapporo")...everything was delicious! Great service! Wasn't crowded but my date said it gets crowded usually. In the middle of eating, people started pouring in. lol! That's when you know the food is good! Will be back again! Next time, I'll try the sushi again! Hope y'all had a good Christmas!

The broth in the signature ramen is good and not too creamy. The rolls taste fresh and the cutlets are cooked to perfection

I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen with extra veggies, and it was incredible. My friend had the Umaya Ramen and said it was the best ramen he's ever had. My son ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and gave it a 10/10. We also shared the Pork Belly Oshi, and wow--it was amazing. Honestly, y'all are missing out if you haven't tried Umaya Ramen. I'm surprised there isn't a line out the door! Another huge plus: they're open late until 1 a.m. and the music creates a great vibe. We'll definitely be back!

I've been coming here for a years, but my recent visit Friday night was incredibly disappointing. Word is that management is revamping the menu, but the execution right now is a major step backward. The Food & Drink: * The Ramen: The soup arrived at the table cold, and the broth was completely bland. The noodles had a distinct chalky texture, and the entire bowl felt like it was put together using pre-packaged, "out of a bag" ingredients rather than being made with care. * The Sake: I ordered a hot sake, but it was served tepid. The Cleanliness: The physical state of the dining area needs immediate attention. Both our dining table and the sake carafe itself were noticeably sticky to the touch. It was telling that on a night when next door restaurants were packed, Umaya was almost entirely empty. The Silver Lining: The one bright spot of the evening was the waitstaff. The servers were actually very good, attentive, and polite. It was the waitstaff that have me upgrading from 1 stars to 2 stars. I hope management takes a hard look at these menu changes and cleanliness standards. Until they fix the food quality and bring back what made this place great, I won't be returning.

Restaurant quality just hasn't been the same, but that is not the case here. Over the years their team has continued to offer delicious food and a nice casual dining experience. The store is small and cozy, so not great for parties larger than 4, though I'd really just suggest 2. Great for lunch or a low key dinner, it is one of my go-to for ramen spots. I really love their white miso tsukemen, the thick noodles are slightly chilled and served with a wedge of lime which is a nice way to lighten the very rich broth. I've had their red miso before but its deeper flavor is a bit too powerful for my taste, so for those who like something with more umph, that's a great choice as well.

I had originally asked for the regular ramen with added pork, but ended up with the tonkotsu miso instead, which was okay. The biggest issue for me was how extremely salty the broth was. It was so salty that instead of enjoying the soup as intended, I could only add about two spoonfuls to my noodles. I really wanted to enjoy it, but the saltiness completely overpowered the other flavors. I also tried the spicy pork bun, which unfortunately tasted like it had been pre-frozen and then steamed. The texture and overall taste just didn't feel particularly fresh. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but overall, this just wasn't the experience I was hoping for. Given the Michelin recognition and the expectations that came with it, I left feeling quite disappointed. Unfortunately, not one of my better ramen experiences.

No complaints toward the quality of food being served. I asked our waitress if this restaurant still had a Michellin star rating? Her response, I dont know and I think so. I believe management was not being honest regarding my question about being a Michellin Star rated restaurant. How are you in management and dont know the status of your own restaurant? Honesty is the best policy. Good thing, food was good and everyone was friendly. Overall, i would come back because the food is good and the place does not get crowded.
