We got beef teriyaki bento box. The beef was super extra chewy! It was impossible to eat! Usually beef teriyaki comes in thinly sliced form, but the beef here were cubes and they were so chewy! Don't recommend it. The ramen was a bit salty.

Ichitaru Ramen is a solid spot for a casual ramen meal. The soup base was really good with rich, flavorful, and comforting. The noodles were a little mushy for my taste, but the overall flavors of the dishes made up for it. The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. The staff is helpful, attentive, and friendly, always willing to answer questions or offer recommendations. Overall, Ichitaru Ramen is a good choice if you are craving a warm, satisfying bowl of ramen. With slightly firmer noodles, it could easily be a five-star experience, but it is still definitely worth a visit.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant has solo stall seating like Ichiran Ramen in Japan and also regular table seating for groups. I ordered the niboshi ramen which is a ramen made from fish flavor broth. The broth is rich and flavorful. I suggest adding vinegar as needed if the broth is too rich for your palette. The noodles were cooked perfectly and add good chew. The one area of improvement I would recommend would the meat. The meat in my order was really dry and tough. It was so tough and dry I wouldn't consider it chasu pork. The meat is more like a thick cut of jerky than chasu pork. The service was friendly and quick, so no complaints there.

Found this restaurant yesterday while running some errands and decided to check it out since it was raining and I could go for some warm soup. Turned out to be a great choice. The inside of the restaurant is a bit smaller but it's very cozy and the inside is super cute. The bar seating has dividers which you can pull out to give yourself privacy or close if you would like to sit with a friend. All the staff were very kind and attentive. We were greeted as we walked in and the man working cleared a table for us as soon as he could since it was full and a party had just left. He was super friendly and took care of us pretty quickly. Halfway through a women took over for him, she was super nice as well. Great staff all around. The food was delicious, I ordered the garlic bomb ramen and added an egg. This ramen in particular came with one piece of pork but it was a pretty decent size. The flavor was great, just the right amount of garlic to where it didn't completely overpower the broth. My friend ordered the chashu ramen which he said he enjoyed. This was the perfect meal for a rainy day to warm me up. I recommend checking this place out if you want to experience a friendly and cozy meal.

The portions are generous and the overall flavor is good. The chicken in my bento box was a bit on the dry side, but the rest of the meal was satisfying. The restaurant itself is small yet functional. There was only one server working, and she handled everything as attentively as she could.

Chashu pork in ramen was tender. If you're sensitive to spice (medium is supposedly 5, their range is between 1-20), choose level 1 and just add chili oil. The dividers at the bar look like they're trying to be like Ichiran in Japan. There are no individual menus, only a shared tablet to order on. We chose level 3 spice, but it tasted like 7

Enjoyed some rainy day ramen here with my son! Ordered the original edamame and Chashu ramen. Overall both were good but the edamame was steamed too long (presumably) leading to it being too soft, but it was well salted and served hot. The ramen wasn't topped with greens like the photo represented but the meat and broth were delicious! The shop was clean and calm during our visit and service was good.

This promotion is definitely worth the price, the quality of the gyoza and ramen set is excellent

I visited Ichitaru Ramen on a sleepy Friday afternoon. One of those odd time of the day where it's too early for dinner but too late for lunch hours and many Asian restaurants shutters for lunch breaks. The restaurant is located in a strip mall where the laundromat is nearby. Parking was ample, spacious, and free. Too bad the same couldn't be said about the inside of the restaurant. There were only two tables occupied upon entering but I wish I had walked out there and then. The only seats available for table for two had crumbs and wet looking grease stains everywhere on the table itself and the seats. It was also right next to the entrance and the table next to us with extremely noisy couple. The other tables on the opposite side of the restaurant was entirely occupied by two tantrum throwing shrieking toddlers and the parents who were too busy eating and did nothing to reprimand. The service was polite but slow. The only server in the restaurant was too busy on her phone and wasn't paying attention 90% of the time. The ordering process itself took good 10 minutes of waiting while I got to listen to the motor mouth man sitting right next to me. The woman at the table couldn't bother blowing her nose for whatever reasons so she snorted her nasal drips every other bite. It was both disgusting and unpleasant just to sit there. The man also finished eating well before her so he kept mansplaining away about what makes a ramen shop "authentic" and all the other "impressive REAL Chinese restaurants I have gone in Santa Barbara" " do you even know where Santa Barbara is?" Ugh. Once the food arrived, I realized every napkins we had at our table already had red oil stains or soy sauce stains on it. The plates and bowls were also scuffed up and made of cheap reusable plastic. I'm not a huge anti-plastic everything. However, scratched up or chipped plastics do leech into food and also harbor all sorts of nasty bacteria. Given how poorly cleaned this restaurant was, I doubt the kitchen cleans them thoroughly. The water cups had stains on it and was already at the table upon getting seated. Never know who sneezed at the table or misted everything with their spit as they're eating and talking. The food itself was interesting. My spicy miso ramen broth was rather watery. The chashu toppings were not anything I have ever eaten before. It was thinly cut but very fatty and tough to chew it. It tasted very meaty but otherwise had no flavors. The dumplings were ok. I actually ended up walking out the restaurant before I finished my food. I got completely overwhelmed by the noise pollution coming from both ends of the restaurant. The shrieking toddlers running around across the conjoined wooden seats and the man next to me loudly stirring the empty water cup with ice while talking nonstop nonsense. And the music that was clearly not loud enough to drown out all those noises. It got too much. My dining companion had to get up and go tell the server to give us the check and takeaway boxes. Nobody was able to leave and we were essentially all waiting for her to put her phone down and check us all out. It took another 15 minutes for my dining companion to return to our vehicle. I cannot describe to you what a relief it was as soon as I exited the restaurant. It was so peaceful and quiet. Almost like I just returned from another world altogether. Maybe I just visited on the wrong day or something. The food wasn't horrible and the service was slow but still polite. But due to the way how the interior is set up, the lack of cleanliness and slow service, I doubt I will ever return again.

Garlic Bomb Ramen with boiled egg and extra meat level 3

We had dinner here and the food was fabulous! I had a Sapporo because why not, the pork buns and the Garlic Bomb Ramen. The pork bun, where to start, my mouth immediately got a burst of flavors, the chunks of pork paired with the sauces was just absolutely delicious. Talk about their ramen not just any ramen, the garlic bomb. To be honest it was my first time here but I was sold when I saw this on their menu. I ordered it with extra pork meat and a boiled egg and I was so glad I did. The only reason of 4 star was due to sitting arrangements. I had hoped for a table but it was busy and small so we sat facing the kitchen area and was a bit uncomfortable to chat sideways.

Another great find that made me feel like I was in Japan. Upon entering and seeing the individual seating with a curtained window to serve you directly. Besides that experience, e are always in the hunt for good ramen. In comparison to other ramen restaurants, the immediate noticeable thing was how thic pieces of Chassu Pork you get. Other than their Chassu Ramen, the other ramen dishes that include Chassu pork, you get two slices of chassu that is thicker than most restaurants. The bowls were also filled to the brim of the bowl with a lot of filling. We went for lunch and there was no wait at all and the service was fast and accurate. The food we ordered were all delicious. The pricing is higher compared to others, but for what you get, it is well worth it and understandable. Coming back for sure to try the other ramen flavors.

    Spicy Garlic Edamame

Small little ramen place that I finally gave a chance to try. Big mistake lol. The service wasn't the best. Quick to get our orders but didn't provide us with any chopsticks or utensils. As well as didn't check up on us at all if we needed anything. Had to get up to ask for our check. We ordered 3 different types of ramen and they all came out super salty! Left hungry because I couldn't even finish half of the ramen. The spicy edamame came out hot and good. It had a kick to it but was the best part of the meal sadly. Definitely not coming back unfortunately.

Food was amazing!! This was my second time coming here and let me tell you it hit the spot again, for sure going to come back here. I've brought a couple of my friends and family here. Different level of spice you say? Try from 1-20 they even have a challenge for you go check them out!

For chicken curry ramen or garlic bomb, can broth be replaced with vegetable broth or chicken broth without pork?

We can replace veg broth without pork, please let our worker know about it thanks

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / August 2, 2023

    Do they serve Tonkotsu ramen?

Yes, various styles of tonkotsu are available here

    Is dine in now available?

Thanks for your asking, we will reopen our dine in room at October 1. Welcome you guys come back here

What is their food challenge? what is the prize? what are the rules?

If you can eat a big bowl of their super spicy ramen within 45 minutes, you earn free premium toppings (like flavored egg, mushrooms, garlic, + about a dozen others) of your choice for life.

Does the vegetable ramen have onion/garlic in it? I'm a vegetarian but allergic to onion/garlic/chives/shallots etc ....

You have options to choice veggie broth just tell them no onions at all

I was wonder what’s your price range for food. See I’m going to a competition and want to try some homemade ramen while I’m in California and other Japanese cuisinés. I just wonder what’s your price?
