I can't believe I've never reviewed our favorite sushi spot in Cypress. We come here all the time especially during their happy hour. You'll always expect the best customer service, clean spacious eating area, friendly sushi chefs and awesome sushi. One of our must orders here is the salmon donburi! The salmon to sushi rice ratio is so generous that I feel like I'm paying less for all that I'm getting. Also, their chicken katsu bento box is also a must. It comes with miso soup, 4 pieces of cali rolls, rice and my fav salad with the best dressing ever. Great quality food for reasonable prices. 10/10 recommend ! read more

Restaurant was great, service even better. We did the all you can eat and tried a bunch of dishes. I thought the Nigiri was fresh and flavorful. Our food was served in a nice timely manner. I like how clean and open with big section of seatings inside. Our waiters were always around when we needed anything. We loved how festive it was inside being it's the holidays. They have a huge selection of dishes to choose from here. Parking is not hard to find as it shares a lot with restaurants in the area. Great for date night, big parties and families w kids. I finally was able to take my wife here to this little Japanese sushi place! We got a different type of sushi and it was presented really really well and tasted delicious! All hand prepared with great service. I was in town for business staying next door at the Hyatt. And I didn't want to drive anywhere for dinner. So I came over to grab some take out so I could work and eat in my room. I got tempura veggies and shrimp. The order came out after 15 mins so I know it was fresh. It was delicious. Definitely recommend anyone give this place a try. read more

We tried AYCE dinner around 5p.m. on Friday night. First, everything was fresh, loved loved all including Udon. Our best 2 items were eel sushi and yellowtail sushi. AYCE Dinner price is $35.99. Appetizers like shrimp tempura, baked mussels, small rolls, specialty rolls, sushi, udon, and ramen all are so good. We had a great time tonight. Loved AYCE dinner!!! read more

Awesome happy hour for Japanese dishes. Tucked between a pho and another Japanese place, i chose this place for good food, quick service and excellent prices. Quick service, happy hour prices did not match the ambience but its really great that it wasn't packed when I ate during that time read more

This AYCE sushi was mid at best. Our server was very attentive and welcoming, but the food was just alright. The fish-to-rice ratio, along with the quality of fish here, wasn't the best. There are much better places to hit in the area if you want AYCE sushi. read more

I tried AYCE lunch on Monday and dinner on Friday. The difference is including the Udon, Ramen, a few items for dinner. I strongly recommend AYCE lunch for $30.99. Hot sake is only $5. There are more customers during lunch. So busy....only one server covers the dining hall, even cashier. Most of people have lunch specials and AYCE. Everytime I had sushi at YUKA was so fresh, especially sushi rice was well cooked. This is the most important part for sushi. Salmon, eel, yellowtail, halibut, and octopus are sooooo flavorful. Loved shrimp tempura and baked mussels for the appetizers. They have great quality, price for AYCE. read more

After looking at the long line at Ramen & Tsukemen TAO my family and I decided to go across the street and eat at Yuma Sushi. We seen that the place was rated 4 Yelp stars. Our party of 6 was seated right away. They offer a $39.99 AYCE which my family indulged in. Our server Mariko was very kind and gave great service. There's plenty of inside seating. Our overall experience was excellent. read more

The was amazing sushi! Super fresh and tasted like butter. We got the Omikase sampler to start. All of the selections were delicious and super fresh. My husband got the Uni and he said it was fantastic. For the rolls, we ordered the candy roll, tiger roll, and the cilantro albacore roll. All super tasty. I ordered the Seoul Mule (it was okay-would not order again). Overall, solid sushi spot with deliciously fresh fish!! read more

Just had Uber Eats drop off my order. They were having 2 for 1 pricing on their Salmon sushi today. Unfortunately, I smelled it before putting in my mouth and almost vomited from the smell. It was like smelling fish bait on the Huntington Beach pier. Tossed it all in the trash. DISGUSTING!!! I should have known better. 2 for 1 deals means they need to get rid of old fish. This is the first and last time I ever eat at this place. Total scammers. I even tried to call them to express my dissatisfaction, but nobody picked-up and there was no voicemail to leave. Customer service is just as crappy as their sushi. read more

WOW. After staring at my PC for 11 hours, decided to go out to dinner this fine Tuesday in December. I haven't had local sushi since FIAB closed (they had my favorite roll ever) . For a tiny city, we have a *lot* of great restaurants in Cypress; annnnnnd ladies and gents, I submit Yūka as a top contender. I can't believe this spot was empty inside (though they were cranking out lots of to-go orders). It's so clean and welcoming - a very nice vibe, playing top 40 holiday music which was a nice touch. The service: I was assisted by Rachel and Yurin, both of whom were friendly and efficient. I love servers who get it just right: attentive, but not intrusive - always timely with clearing of plates, refills, etc. A+ // five-star service all the way. THE FOOD: I legit almost cried twice it was soooooo good. We all know that restaurants have nose-dived since Covid. The food just doesn't taste the same, and you end up oissed off after paying a fortune for a subpar meal. Not here friends and neighbors. This was the best meal I've had in a hot minute. How could it get better you ask? WELL Y'ALL....it's AYCE!! For $40!! I wish I had four stomachs. I did my best though. Every. Single. Item :: Delicious. I had: Garlic edamame, shishito peppers (cry worthy), Fire Station Roll - yes, this is the FIAB YaYa roll, my fave ever, but somehow it was better here - Poke salad, Tataki roll, and a pork belly skewer. This skewer - I don't have words for it. It hit every mark. Umami for real. Anyway, I hope the next time I come I'm pissed because it's packed! They deserve allll the business, they really do. We are paying so much for any and everything right now - let me tell you, this was worth every penny and frankly, I think it's a great value for the cost. Of note: you can order in rounds - do not order too much at a time, as is standard with most AYCE, you can be charged for food not consumed. And this is fair. We all know our eyes are bigger than our stomachs - and sushi/sashimi is at the top of the leader board with "ooops... this is too much food" Already planning to go back and try different things. The shishito peppers and pork belly skewer are, forever more, must-haves. Support this business!! I'm not a pro yelper or food influencer or whatever these people call themselves now. However, I DO appreciate great food and great service - both here, with a great price as the cherry on top! Thank you Yūka! You just earned a new regular. read more

If you frequent to sushi spots and have experienced a wide range of price ranges, you know to lower standards and expectations for AYCE. Honestly I'm feeling so torn: it's not horrible but it's not great. Rice to fish/ingredients ratio (5/5) - rolls were not rice heavy which is great! Single order items quality (3/5) - average? I didn't think it was special enough to be single order --- If anything the single order nigiris brought me more joy. Rice quality (2/5) - rice was so inconsistent, some was really dry and over cooked? some orders were perfect? some fell apart so easily Salads (4/5) - great! loved the cucumber one with crab + poke one Roll flavor combos (3/5) - nothing mind blowing or intriguing enough for reordering Item availability (1/5!!!!) - we were most looking forward to the Yuka Nari esp the salmon. We weren't told it was out until we asked why we didn't get it. We were told only salmon was out, so we ordered the tuna but that never came out. With all that considered, I feel like price point that I'd pay for AYCE would be $28-30 at most. Don't get me wrong, service was good and food felt very fresh and clean... something about the rice threw me off.. and the idea average tasting items were one per person. That really raised my expectations when it probably shouldn't have. We could have gotten a batch that wasn't as good/mind blowing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ IF we were to return again in the future, it would be for the non AYCE option. HOWEVER if the quality is the same as AYCE, I prob wouldn't entertain the idea and just try another place. read more

Went there for all you can eat dinner for 2 adults. Approx $80 + overpriced soju. Service was horrible and items ordered were missed. I had to go to the waitress to order more sushi. What a hidden gem. Located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. Tried their AYCE menu on a weekday during dinner time and everything was served promptly. Place was fairly empty, air-conditioned (a huge plus on a summer afternoon), and the server was attentive. Music playlist consisted of only acoustic songs, which was a nice change of pace from the edm/pop playlists that are typically played at other sushi and kbbq restaurants. I will say that I noticed 1 or 2 items that I had written down not served, such as their pork belly skewer, which actually worked in our favor since we were so full by then. I mainly ordered the sushi pieces while my company had mostly appetizers and rolls. While he was a fan of the tempura and takoyaki, he expressed the sesame chicken was pretty underseasoned. I enjoyed what I had ordered, and indulged in a highball as well since it was my day off. Will definitely come back! read more

We dined here on a Friday at 6 pm--plenty of parking, we were seated immediately, though it got busier as we ate. The atmosphere was pleasantly quiet, perfect for family time. Service was warm and efficient, and our food arrived in good time. We tried the Tempura Udon, spicy pork dish, uni pasta, and baked lobster. The uni looked simple and lacking sauce but was surprisingly flavorful, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. While the spicy pork dish felt a bit underwhelming for the price, the baked lobster roll was absolutely delicious. read more

I'm afraid to give this place a review because this is my new "secret" spot... not crowded and plenty of room to grow for friends and family... it's quietly tucked away and very unassuming... did not even know it existed if not for my friend to tell me it was there... then she said it was all you can eat... really? Sure enough, AYCE... the real nice thing is, my wife does not do all you can eat... she just wants to get an entrée, at Yuka Sushi they let you get AYCE and others can get the bento lunch... just no sharing unless others in your party are also AYCE... guess where my Father's Day meal will be? Yuka Sushi - Love the carpaccio and the no rice Albacore Wrap + Salmon wrap - Sushi Bars Near Me - Cypress, California

I've really decided I'll never come here again. This is definitely my last time eating here. We came for lunch today for the all-you-can-eat. No one greeted us when we entered. We saw an empty seat on the right and initially wanted to sit down, but the sofa booth leather was cracked and ugly, so we chose another one, which was the same. The background music was very loud and noisy. I have to ask the waitress to turn it down. The food made me so disappointed! The garlic edamame was uncooked and completely tasteless, I asked waitress to tell the chef to redo it but she brought back the same dish, still unsalted, so we ask her for salt to add it by ourselves. The filling for Janapeno bomb was completely rotten, and smelled bad, so we had to give up on it. Each sushi or nigiri had a lot of rice, and I accidentally bite sand in the rice, it was disgusting! I didn't let waitress know about these issues because I didn't want her to think I was nitpicking. The reason we came to eat here because it's close to home, and we wanted to support their business, but I can't accept spoiled or bad tasting food! read more

This was my first time at Yuka Sushi, and we went on a Friday night around 6:30 p.m. We were seated fairly quickly. The décor is simple yet cute, and we were placed in a booth that had plenty of space for two people--it didn't feel cramped at all. We opted for the AYCE option, which was about $40 per person. You're given a paper menu to mark what you'd like to order, with a total of three rounds. For our first round, we ordered the seared garlic pepper salmon, shishito peppers, spicy garlic edamame, jalapeño bombs, eel, salmon carpaccio, halibut, black snapper, jumbo scallops, the In-N-Out roll, and the cilantro albacore roll. The carpaccio, halibut, black snapper, and jumbo scallops are limited to one order per person. The seared garlic pepper salmon was one of our favorites, and the jumbo scallops were incredibly sweet and topped with a yuzu paste that really elevated the dish. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be coming back for AYCE sushi again. read more

Since the past few months, Yuka has been our go-to for sushi. Also it makes us feel good to support our local neighborhood businesses! They do have an AYCE menu but husband and I just cannot eat that huge quantity of food anymore so we always opt for ordering off the menu. If you come before 5PM, there are some happy hour dishes for lesser price! Some favorites dishes we usually order include: Yellowtail carpacchio - a must! Omakase sashimi Shishito peppers Veggie tempura Sesame chicken Chicken katsu combseaweed salad Any rolls! Nice beer, sake, sochu list! Service is nice, friendly, and quick! The music streaming reflects current pop culture. Keeps you feeling young :) Kampai! read more

I got the Paradise Roll, and I feel like they were trying to cover the mediocre taste of the sushi by drenching it in plain mayo. When I checked the photo in the AYCE menu there was definitely no indication there would be mayo, so idk why they added it to several of the rolls me and my friends who did AYCE got, including the Rainbow Roll. Ew. I had to scrape it all off after trying one piece. Overall I was pretty disappointed, the tuna on the inside just didn't taste very fresh and coupled with the mayo flavor, I was sick of my one roll by the end. Overpriced for the quality, especially if you just want to buy a single "premium" roll. read more

I usually walk into AYCE sushi places hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. I wasn't completely disappointed here, but I think I would think twice before coming back. Service was pretty attentive to our needs, but as I'm thinking about what we ordered tonight, we didn't get quite a few of the items we marked on our menu. Not sure if that's the kitchen's fault or the server's. Nothing really stood out here, and the one thing I saw on the menu that was interesting (some roll with crawfish on it) I never received. If you need a sushi fix this might be ok, but maybe don't expect it to be mind blowing. read more

This is my go to sushi spot as I enjoy the freshness of the fish, lunch and happy hour specials. I usually dine in and service has typically been good with the exception of a few times. My most recent visit was AYCE for dinner and was a total miss IMO. Service was sparse, our rounds were missing several dishes and it was frustrating to try to track down someone to help us. Not a great look as I had raved to family about Yuka only to be let down. The taste of the food was good though I didn't feel there was a strong value to AYCE as the carpaccio was only one piece per person and no carpaccio for kids. One thing to note is that it does not include drinks or desserts and not everyone in your party has to participate in AYCE. read more

Love the quality of their food so much!! and they have a lovely deal: tag them on your Instagram story you will get 10% off of your order! What a nice deal! Everything tastes so fresh and so flavorful. The servers are very happy and the sushi chef is excellent at crafting each piece of sushi especially omakase. Highly recommend trying their seabass( so fresh & good!!), seafood pasta (10/10, so many fresh &big size seafood inside), fried ice cream ( unique experience: crispy skin outside and creamy ice cream inside, yummy), omakase($35 for 9 pieces, very good deal), tataki roll( it was fire, so much flavor) The space is big and clean. My second time eating lunch at Yuka today 6/18/2025. The reason I am giving a 3 review is because the service and hospitality is excellent. Place is clean, which is a big thing for me. But the food, I usually get nigiri, special rolls and premium rolls, is really not up to par with other AYCE sushi such as OZEN and Sake2me in my opinion. The rice to fish ratio and rolls are thick compared to others I've been to. I am not sure what brand of rice they use but how it's cooked and how sticky it is, is not great in my opinion. The first time I ate here I was disappointed but had to try it a 2nd time just in case if it was a bad day. However, the service is still excellent but food quality is not to my liking. The food preparation is at least appealing. read more

New owner in a former Japanese sushi restaurant. The food was VERY good! 4-1/2 stars. We're always up to try a new Japanese place. MIL had the smaller Sushi Omakase - 9 pieces/$35. She was really happy with the variety & quality. She has a hearty appetite, & took 3 pieces home for later. Hubby had the chicken teriyaki & shrimp tempura combo. He's the least adventurous eater. He's Japanese too! Anyway, he enjoyed his meal. Thought the tempura was crispy & light. The uni pasta was calling my name. It didn't disappoint. Al dente pasta, creamy buttery pasta coated with uni butter (?). Topped with 3 uni nuggets. Additional uni was available, but decided to skip since I split the tofu salad. Which was also good. Lightly coated & sautéed tofu cubes with a spring lettuce mix. Miso dressing which is different from typical Izakaya tofu salads which are more shoyu based. This was good as well. Patrons of varying ages & ethnicity. Two younger couples made a bee line to the back tables. Soft K-pop music playing in the background. Would totally come back to try more menu items. Maybe the sushi next time. Once I saw the Uni Pasta, my choice was made. You know how it is right? You see that item & it's as though a beacon is beaming. read more
