You'll always expect the best customer service, clean spacious eating area, friendly sushi chefs and awesome sushi. One of our must orders here is the salmon donburi! The salmon to sushi rice ratio is so generous that I feel like I'm paying less for all that I'm getting. Also, their chicken katsu bento box is also a must. It comes with miso soup, 4 pieces of cali rolls, rice and my fav salad with the best dressing ever. Great quality food for reasonable prices. 10/10 recommend ! read more

I was in town for business staying next door at the Hyatt. And I didn't want to drive anywhere for dinner. So I came over to grab some take out so I could work and eat in my room. Just had Uber Eats drop off my order. They were having 2 for 1 pricing on their Salmon sushi today. Unfortunately, I smelled it before putting in my mouth and almost vomited from the smell. It was like smelling fish bait on the Huntington Beach pier. Tossed it all in the trash. DISGUSTING!!! I should have known better. 2 for 1 deals means they need to get rid of old fish. This is the first and last time I ever eat at this place. Total scammers. I even tried to call them to express my dissatisfaction, but nobody picked-up and there was no voicemail to leave. I tried AYCE lunch on Monday and dinner on Friday. The difference is including the Udon, Ramen, a few items for dinner. I strongly recommend AYCE lunch for $30.99. Hot sake is only $5. There are more customers during lunch. So busy....only one server covers the dining hall, even cashier. Most of people have lunch specials and AYCE. Everytime I had sushi at YUKA was so fresh, especially sushi rice was well cooked. This is the most important part for sushi. Salmon, eel, yellowtail, halibut, and octopus are sooooo flavorful. WOW. After staring at my PC for 11 hours, decided to go out to dinner this fine Tuesday in December. I haven't had local sushi since FIAB closed (they had my favorite roll ever) . For a tiny city, we have a *lot* of great restaurants in Cypress; annnnnnd ladies and gents, I submit Yūka as a top contender. I can't believe this spot was empty inside (though they were cranking out lots of to-go orders). It's so clean and welcoming - a very nice vibe, playing top 40 holiday music which was a nice touch. The service: I was assisted by Rachel and Yurin, both of whom were friendly and efficient. I love servers who get it just right: attentive, but not intrusive - always timely with clearing of plates, refills, etc. A+ // five-star service all the way. THE FOOD: I legit almost cried twice it was soooooo good. We all know that restaurants have nose-dived since Covid. The food just doesn't taste the same, and you end up oissed off after paying a fortune for a subpar meal. Not here friends and neighbors. This was the best meal I've had in a hot minute. How could it get better you ask? WELL Y'ALL....it's AYCE!! For $40!! I wish I had four stomachs. I did my best though. Every. Single. Item :: Delicious. I had: Garlic edamame, shishito peppers (cry worthy), Fire Station Roll - yes, this is the FIAB YaYa roll, my fave ever, but somehow it was better here - Poke salad, Tataki roll, and a pork belly skewer. This skewer - I don't have words for it. It hit every mark. Umami for real. Anyway, I hope the next time I come I'm pissed because it's packed! They deserve allll the business, they really do. We are paying so much for any and everything right now - let me tell you, this was worth every penny and frankly, I think it's a great value for the cost. Of note: you can order in rounds - do not order too much at a time, as is standard with most AYCE, you can be charged for food not consumed. And this is fair. We all know our eyes are bigger than our stomachs - and sushi/sashimi is at the top of the leader board with "ooops... this is too much food" Already planning to go back and try different things. If you frequent to sushi spots and have experienced a wide range of price ranges, you know to lower standards and expectations for AYCE. Honestly I'm feeling so torn: it's not horrible but it's not great. Rice to fish/ingredients ratio (5/5) - rolls were not rice heavy which is great! Single order items quality (3/5) - average? I didn't think it was special enough to be single order --- If anything the single order nigiris brought me more joy. Rice quality (2/5) - rice was so inconsistent, some was really dry and over cooked? some orders were perfect? some fell apart so easily Salads (4/5) - great! loved the cucumber one with crab + poke one Roll flavor combos (3/5) - nothing mind blowing or intriguing enough for reordering Item availability (1/5!!!!) - we were most looking forward to the Yuka Nari esp the salmon. With all that considered, I feel like price point that I'd pay for AYCE would be $28-30 at most. I've really decided I'll never come here again. This is definitely my last time eating here. We came for lunch today for the all-you-can-eat. No one greeted us when we entered. We saw an empty seat on the right and initially wanted to sit down, but the sofa booth leather was cracked and ugly, so we chose another one, which was the same. The background music was very loud and noisy. I have to ask the waitress to turn it down. The food made me so disappointed! The garlic edamame was uncooked and completely tasteless, I asked waitress to tell the chef to redo it but she brought back the same dish, still unsalted, so we ask her for salt to add it by ourselves. The filling for Janapeno bomb was completely rotten, and smelled bad, so we had to give up on it. Each sushi or nigiri had a lot of rice, and I accidentally bite sand in the rice, it was disgusting! What a hidden gem. Located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. Tried their AYCE menu on a weekday during dinner time and everything was served promptly. Place was fairly empty, air-conditioned (a huge plus on a summer afternoon), and the server was attentive. Music playlist consisted of only acoustic songs, which was a nice change of pace from the edm/pop playlists that are typically played at other sushi and kbbq restaurants. I will say that I noticed 1 or 2 items that I had written down not served, such as their pork belly skewer, which actually worked in our favor since we were so full by then. I mainly ordered the sushi pieces while my company had mostly appetizers and rolls. While he was a fan of the tempura and takoyaki, he expressed the sesame chicken was pretty underseasoned. This was my first time at Yuka Sushi, and we went on a Friday night around 6:30 p.m. We were seated fairly quickly. The décor is simple yet cute, and we were placed in a booth that had plenty of space for two people--it didn't feel cramped at all. We opted for the AYCE option, which was about $40 per person. You're given a paper menu to mark what you'd like to order, with a total of three rounds. For our first round, we ordered the seared garlic pepper salmon, shishito peppers, spicy garlic edamame, jalapeño bombs, eel, salmon carpaccio, halibut, black snapper, jumbo scallops, the In-N-Out roll, and the cilantro albacore roll. The carpaccio, halibut, black snapper, and jumbo scallops are limited to one order per person. The seared garlic pepper salmon was one of our favorites, and the jumbo scallops were incredibly sweet and topped with a yuzu paste that really elevated the dish. Service was pretty attentive to our needs, but as I'm thinking about what we ordered tonight, we didn't get quite a few of the items we marked on our menu. Not sure if that's the kitchen's fault or the server's. Nothing really stood out here, and the one thing I saw on the menu that was interesting (some roll with crawfish on it) I never received. I got the Paradise Roll, and I feel like they were trying to cover the mediocre taste of the sushi by drenching it in plain mayo. When I checked the photo in the AYCE menu there was definitely no indication there would be mayo, so idk why they added it to several of the rolls me and my friends who did AYCE got, including the Rainbow Roll. Ew. I had to scrape it all off after trying one piece. Overall I was pretty disappointed, the tuna on the inside just didn't taste very fresh and coupled with the mayo flavor, I was sick of my one roll by the end. This is my go to sushi spot as I enjoy the freshness of the fish, lunch and happy hour specials. I usually dine in and service has typically been good with the exception of a few times. My most recent visit was AYCE for dinner and was a total miss IMO. Service was sparse, our rounds were missing several dishes and it was frustrating to try to track down someone to help us. Not a great look as I had raved to family about Yuka only to be let down. The taste of the food was good though I didn't feel there was a strong value to AYCE as the carpaccio was only one piece per person and no carpaccio for kids. My second time eating lunch at Yuka today 6/18/2025. The reason I am giving a 3 review is because the service and hospitality is excellent. Place is clean, which is a big thing for me. But the food, I usually get nigiri, special rolls and premium rolls, is really not up to par with other AYCE sushi such as OZEN and Sake2me in my opinion. The rice to fish ratio and rolls are thick compared to others I've been to. I am not sure what brand of rice they use but how it's cooked and how sticky it is, is not great in my opinion. The first time I ate here I was disappointed but had to try it a 2nd time just in case if it was a bad day. However, the service is still excellent but food quality is not to my liking. This was our first time dining here, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The sushi rolls were oversized, with an overwhelming amount of rice and noticeably low-quality ingredients. The sushi itself was dry and lacked freshness. We specifically requested that our meal be served in a certain order: soup first, then appetizers, followed by sushi and rolls. However, the staff brought the miso soup first, then jumped straight to the rolls and appetizers afterward, which disrupted the flow of the meal. When we asked to speak with the manager or owner, the server responded, "You can talk to me." I politely shared our concerns, and she simply said, "This is our standard." I mentioned that this kind of service could drive customers away and that we wouldn't be returning, to which she responded, "Our customers like it the way it is." At that point, we decided not to order anything further, paid for what we had, and left. Sadly, it confirmed what my wife noticed from the start -- it was a Friday at 1 PM, and the restaurant was nearly empty, with only two tables occupied.
