We get a choice of rice/noodles/veggie with 1-3 meat entree combo. What kinda makes it "Thai" were entrees with more heat, lemon grass, and mango. I have no expectations since it's the food court. There is nothing Thai about Ruby Thai other than the phad thai noodle option, which wasn't cooked or taste anything like phad thai. The good: I got Thai noodles, mango chicken, fried rice and broccoli for under $12. I thought the portion size was good and the price was fair. I got to sample free samples before choosing what I wanted. My toddler enjoyed the meal. There were multiple meat, vegetable and noodle options. The worker was super quick and efficient. The bad: The orange noodles were bland. The mango chicken didn't have much mango flavor and were also blander than orange chicken you could get from Panda Express. The fried rice was on the blander side too but I didn't mind this that much because it's nice for rice to be blander when you're eating it with flavorful meat. great portion, friendly service but it's catered toward non asian people. Asian people like me wants authentic Thai food. This food is like Panda Express version of Thai food. However, I am not judging on the restaurant for that. If it makes money for the restaurant, go for it. Why did I go here then? I am not local so I had no idea where authentic Thai restaurants are in the area. I happened to be in the mall (big mistake as I am not in demographics that go to the mall) and craved Thai food. Located in the Cerritos mall food court, this place is a bit cheaper than Panda Express and you definitely get more food. The quality is not as good though. They are always offering free samples as you walk-by and that is great. Get the mango chicken, it's similar to orange chicken. The noodles and other dishes were not very good. TLDR; out of the mall food court options, it's comparable to Panda Express. You get more food for your buck but the quality is worse. read more

The only decent item was the mango chicken. It was crunchy but the amount of sauce coating was a little too much. The Pad thai was really terrible though, it tasted like it was cooked in old stale noodles that was cooked in old stale oil. No other flavors other than what i mentioned. read more

Been here many times, noticed on my last visit, they stopped making my 2 favorite items, fish and curry noodles. I went with shrimp and orange chicken, the chicken was not as good as previous meals, and the shrimp was good, but the new replacement noodles were bad, cashier advised me that they are under new management, which pretty much sums it up. Anybody who has had a good bowl of wonton noodle soup will immediately recognize that the dish from here is heavily mediocre. This is a fast-food restaurant in a mall's food court, hence the quality.
