Treasure Pot Thai Restaurant - 55. Shrimp Fried Rice added Shrimp - Thai Near Me - Paramount, California

Walked in about an hour before closing to order some takeout, service was fast & my food was out in less than 15 minutes after ordering. Got the garlic & pepper chicken, crab fried rice & shrimp fried rice. I would probably reorder only the shrimp fried rice out of the three dishes, I thought the chicken was kinda tough. Overall would return & try some other items on the menu read more

I feel this restaurant has that homemade food flavor. Is not a fancy restaurant but the food is really good you won't regret it. The only reason why I'm giving a four start is coz I haven't order a different meal. read more

Treasure Pot is one of my go-to Thai places and it's a really good hole-in-the-wall restaurant that you definitely do want to order out from! Not a single meal has disappointed me and they're one of the few places that have Thai sausage and jerky, which I love having with sticky rice. Their service is was fast; since I always do take-out, I place a call directly to them and then come into pick-up & pay at the counter. Everyone was nice and friendly, and every time I have asked for the legit Thai spicy for my curries, they have delivered. Prices were reasonable for the portions, especially given inflation nowadays. What I get: - Thai Sausage: Ground pork and rice sausage, served with cabbage, ginger, red onions, Thai chili, and peanuts. $10.95 You get two sausages and plenty of everything else. - Thai Pork Jerky: Deep fried marinated pork served with spicy, tamarind sauce. $10.95 Delicious; crispy, thick, juicy pieces of jerky. You cannot go wrong with this as an order. - Tom Kha Kai: Chicken coconut soup with galanga, seasoned with chili and lime juice. $13.95 I love tom kha and finding out that they did in fact make their Thai spicy upon request was such a blessing - it's so hard to find Thai places that don't cater to milder palettes, stripping away what's essential to Thai cuisine. - Larb (Chicken, Beef, or Pork): Ground meat with red onions, chili, mint leaves, lime juice, and rice powder. $12.95 I usually get the beef laarb - it's my go-to. - Papaya Salad: Shredded green papaya, chili, tomatoes, dried shrimp, peanuts, and lime juice. $9.95 - Glass Noodle Salad: Glass noodles, ground pork, shrimp, onions, tomatoes, Thai chili, and lime juice. $12.95 - Naem Sod: Fermented pork, ginger, peanut, chili, and lime juice. $12.95 - Pla Kung: Grilled shrimp mixed with red onions, Thai chili and lime juice served over bed of lettuce. $12.95 As you can see, I get a variety when I order from them, so I do mean it when I say that everything is always good! The ambiance is definitely more geared towards grab-and-go, so that;s what they're known for. There's plenty of parking in front even though it's in a strip mall with a few other businesses. read more

My family and I loved eating here for over 15 years. We love their food and have not found another Thai restaurant that we have stuck with. However, about three years ago, we ordered the Poh Tak soup (our favorite) and my mom noticed the fish had a weird smell. We informed one of the workers and she told us it was fine and even opened the door for us to leave. We stopped going there for a while, but after exploring other Thai restaurants we decided to give it another try as we have been going there for years. During our last time there, we got take out and my sister noticed a worm in her beef Nam tok. My mom told one of her friends who goes there often and she stated she has also found a worm on hers and she complained to the waitress and the waitress told her that was not a worm even after she placed the moving worm on a napkin for her to see. I added a screenshot from the video my sister showed me of her beef Nam Tok. read more

Not worth the wait and will no longer come here, unless my mother really wants a Togo order. I will not come here again ..... Poor customer service read more

Came here with a friend who is very into Thai culture and food. We drove from Downey to here because of its authentic flavor and friendly prices. We got 5 different dishes, including Thai sausage as appetizer, and all of them were very good. And it was a nice group outing because the total bill was absolutely manageable. Most dishes started at 10 or 11 bucks. This place is definitely recommended for some authentic and real Thai food. read more

Was in the area and wanted some good ol food so did a quick yelp search and of course it didn't disappoint. Hole in the wall/ mom and pop type of restaurant. Workers were all family sharing duties like cooking and busing tables. Came on a weekday around lunch time and was a party of two and lucky for us we didn't have to wait to be seated. Browsed over the menu and decided on grabbing a few items. PORK JERKY- we originally wanted to try the beef but they ran out so we went with the pork. Nice portion served with a side of chili sauce satay and some fresh veggies. Pork was good but the satay sauce made it better. I enjoyed this but I think I would much rather have the beef since that's our go to. 3 1/2 stars**** THAI BOAT NOODLES- skinny noodles with a good portion of a variety of diff meats. I went with the medium spice and that wasn't spicy in my opinion. The broth itself is flavorful but a bit on the sour side which I'm not used to but I've had before at other places. I normally ask for more veggies but this time I forgot so I think with more veggies this dish would've been better 3 1/2 stars*** PAD SEE EW- went with the option of chicken. Good portion enough to share. The dish itself had chicken, eggs, and Chinese broccoli along with the noodles. I liked that they gave a lot of veggies so the noodles are overwhelming. This was probably my favorite dish of the day. 4 stars**** Would like to come back and try other items. Prices were very reasonable for what you get. But with so many great Thai places in the area or surrounding areas can't say when I'll be back. Def worth a try if you're in the area and craving some Thai food. Happy eating! read more

Authentic and super tasty Thai food place. It's a hole in the wall with a friendly service. Highly recommended.

Legit boat noodles-- legit ones are a lot harder to find than, say, som tam (papaya salad), although the som tam is delicious here, too. Decent sized inside but mostly tables for 2 or 4, although some can be put together for bigger groups. Decor is very plain but clearly you come here for the food, not the decor! read more

Everything I've had here have been delicious. I don't know what authentic Thai food tastes like since I'm not Thai but, I've grown up eating Thai food at various restaurants all over Los Angeles and, this place tastes the best still. In fact, this small restaurant located within a seedy-looking strip mall was recommended to me by a Thai friend of mine and he's got credibility in my opinion. Their best tasting dish is their Pad See Ew and I've had it with all their available protein options, including tofu. It has the perfect seasoning and the wok they use to pan fry this dish must be super hot and super well-seasoned because you can taste it in this dish. I'm also a big fan of their shrimp cake appetizer as well as their fried rice dishes. You can't go wrong in this place. Helpful tip: they prefer cash and have a minimum $10.00 purchase for credit card transactions. read more
