If you want authentic Sinaloense food this is the place! Felt like I was in Mexico. We got the mango ceviche and it was one of the best I've had! They being you all the typical different types of Mexican salsas too. We also had the birria queso tacos and an agua de tamarindo and they were all really good. Went here for breakfast this morning with my family and we loved it. We ordered the menudo, chilaquiles, and gorditas, everything had great flavor and tasted super fresh. Came here on a whim always drive by and see it's busy so decided to finally try it out. Unfortunately it was not what I thought. We came in a it was a slow Monday night. First let's start with our waitress very nice sweet lady but I don't think she spoke English, I can speak it but not a proficient level so when I was asking questions about the food it was very limited. Ordered the aguachiles and shrimp In a sauce with rice and beans. I was extremely disappointed because portions were small and the food was ok, not bad but not the best. I expected more since it has a lot of good reviews and for 50$ for two plates. What made me really upset was the waitress came with our food and told us by the way our credit card machine is not working we only take cash and stood there and we all looked at each other awkwardly. We had no cash and it's such an inconvenience to get up and drive to the nearest ATM/bank . She also said we can't do Zelle it's the very last resort. We said that's all we have Zelle we are not about to get up and go get money. It was such an unpleasant experience. Why not tell your customers that you don't take card prior to ordering it's as if they purposely took our order I get it money hungry but not fair to us. I would have nicely gotten up and went somewhere else. The food was plain and basic will NOT BE COMING BACK. Make sure to ask if their card machine works. Overall 2 stars is all they deserve. Ambiance was okay but their TV's were stuck on a kids Spiderman video that was very annoying. If you pay by card they charge a fee. I personally would try a different place before coming back. I was disappointed with the caldo 7 mares it only had 4 shrimp and the snow crab was old and it was missing the rest of the sea, it's supposed to have octopus, shrimp, fish clams, and other sea food. Stay away from this place, huge rip off ordered multiple items via door dash from the ceviche menu. The biggest scam was the ceviche el plebe, placed 2 orders of this and the serving portions were tiny! I payed $23 for each for a total of $46 on just these items no counting the rest of my order. The skimpy pieces of callo are barely on there and the amount of shrimp wasn't definitely not matching the price ether. Do better and stop taking advantage of people just because it's doordash. Definitely understand why business is not 5/5. Not the best service with 5 different parties and only 2 servers. Had to wait about 15 minutes for food. There was a party who ordered similar food and received their order before me. The Agua Chile had 3 pieces of cucumber and 4 slices of onion and very little lemon so I had to ask for extra. The shrimp was not cooked at all so had to wait an extra 10 minutes to cook the shrimp with lemon. The gobernador was weak. Very plain and boring. The "salad" next to the taco was very disappointing.
