My hubby and I went there for an early dinner. We ordered 3 menu items so we could try a variety of the meats they serve. Before the food came, they brought us chips and salsa. Very yummy. The tacos ( we got asada, carnitas and al pastor) were very delicious and filling, stuffed full, and the yummy fries were great. We also got the sopes and the chorizo was amazing. The shrimp tostada was large and full of shrimp. The micheladas were refreshing and authentic. One of my favorite things was how they have the hot sauce and squirt bottles, for someone like me that was awesome. All this for under $50. We will definitely be going back again! read more

I wished I had taken some pictures; I was so famished when we got the food that forgot the picture taking part. We were attending a memorial service around the Paramount area our group of 7 had not had a bite since 8am and was already 2pm. We ordered some fresh Guacamole absolutely delicious, homemade chips and salsa and of course some tacos. I had the governor taco, shrimp, veggies and cheese on a flour tortilla and grilled, BIG taco great flavors and a fish taco on corn tortilla also very tasty but after eating the governor's taco I was pretty full, their orchata creamy and with that awesome cinnamon taste. Most people in my group ordered the same tacos as they are famous for it. One person order carne asada plate and the portions were large, carne asada grilled to perfection and the spanish rice looked like the one my mom makes. Bad experience, took more than an hour to get SOME of the food. We waited more time and asked about the kids food and they forgot to make it. So the adults food was cold due to waiting. We didn't get checked on ny the staff we had to ask for utensils for refills. Bad service, would not recommend. Food was bland as well. Tacos Don Chente has authentic and delicious Mexican food! Typically When visiting a Mexican restaurant for the first time I ask for chile verde, which is exactly what i asked for the first time I ate at this restaurant. I was extremely pleased with how tender the pork was, the green chili sauce has the right amount of heat and the citrusy flavors from the tomatillos are so YUUMM!! I highly recommend trying the Pork Chili Verde, quesatacos de birria, sopa de albondigas, chorizo con papas either in tacos or sopes are a must have and for the kiddos I recommend the taquitos de papa. I have never had a potato taquito that is well seasoned like these are, the tortillas they use are flaky and crunchy and not tough to bite. The staff at this restaurant are very nice and so helpful! I placed a big order for a play date, super last minute and they went above and beyond to serve us. When dining in the waitresses are constantly checking to see if we need anything. Super impressed all around. Will be using their catering services for our twins party later this summer. Check this place out! Ohh and try the jamaica juice... heavenly! read more

Shopping for furniture on Paramount street and found this place. The outside doesn't look like much but inside is very nice! Digital menu, spacious, nice chairs and tables. I ordered the birria plate and Agua de pepino and everything was so delicious!!! Everything looked and tasted fresh. As far as ppl complaining about no one being there to receive or attend to customers that is incorrect. It is a new business and they are working on what flow works for them, but customer service was excellent. I don't mind waiting a few minutes for someone to take my order when everything they serve is delicious, the mango shrimp is one of my favorites. There's a massive menu here (also available online). For today's lunch, I opted for their Pork Leg Torta (Mexican sandwich). It was filled with meat, lettuce, tomato, onions, avocado, cheese, and hot sauce. And now, it's filled me to a food coma status. Tasty factor was decent. It didn't knock it out of the ballpark for me, but as it's super close to my new office, I'm sure it'll become a part of the lunch rotation. This time around I rode shotgun for the pickup so I added some pics of the joint. Today's foray into Don Chente-land had be going with their 4 Flauta combo. Choice of Asada (beef), Pollo (chicken), or potato. The Asada Flautas were nice and flavorful, smothered with lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and a tomato slice. The beans and rice that came in the combo were also above average in taste. This meal was better than the Torta I had the first time around. Bump these guys up to full four star status. read more

We did catering for a birthday party and we had the Asada, Pastor, Potatoes w/ Poblanos and of course rice & beans and all the fixings that come along with a taco bar.
