    Steak Tacos

Pirates Kitchen is my favorite seafood broil place because they offer other items such as wings, seafood pasta, tacos and more! Pirates Kitchen is located in the City Plaza (in the same plaza and next to Bakers & Baristas and La Tavolata). The ambiance here is very fun and playful with a mural of pirates, ropes, lifeguard rescue tubes, and barrels! Staff here is very friendly, sweet, and attentive! They are quick to take your order and checks in with you to make sure if you need new gloves, ketchup, limes, etc. You can veto choose your 1) Seafood, 2) Flavor, 3) Spice level, and 4) Add-ons. I usually order their shrimp with their Full House flavor - mild spice level, which consists of all three of your flavors: Garlic Butter, Lemon Pepper, and PK Sauce. For add-ons, I like getting their corn and garlic bread to absorb all that delicious flavor. Of course, you can't forget the Cajun Fries! I've also tried their steak tacos, soy garlic wings, and seafood cream pasta. The pasta is nice and creamy! I'd pass the tacos and wings. They also have seafood gumbo, clam chowder, and half or full half-shell oysters. I really appreciate their wide variety, which has me coming back regularly!

I came here for 2 reasons: 2lbs for $20 and $1 soju shots. Pirate's Kitchen did not disappoint!  2lbs of head-on shrimp for $20 is a great deal for seafood boils in this area. It;s also just a pretty good quality seafood boil as well. The shrimp was well cooked, and everything was flavorful but not salty. I do think that the deal is now $25 for 2lbs, but that is still cheaper than most places around. I added sausage, corn, and potatoes, and my party of two was full. I also super enjoy the $1 shots of soju. It's 6 shots max per person, but that puts you at a nice buzz for your meal. You can also opt for their Buy 2 Bottles Get The 3rd Bottle Free deal, which would be nice if you have a bigger party.  The service here was super nice, and there wasn't a long wait at all. I would highly recommend this spot if you want to have a good time and eat good food. It will be messy, but it'll be worth it!

My family and I come here all the time, but today for the first time we came in and its six of us 2 adults( my sister and myself ) and 4 kids( my twin 2 year olds and my sister's 8 and 11 year old and the waiter told us ill be add Guarantuity on your bill unless you want to seat separately across the room from each other???? Like what??? Since when is it mandatory??? I get it if its 6 adults my toddlers dont eat here I bring them their food and drinks because they dont eat sea food. Forcing 18% tip for two adults that are eating here is crazy!!! Like I said we come here all the time with our kids and this is the first time we are being told this! And I want others to know about this and your thoughts. No one should be forced to pay for tip a tip is a token of appreciation for their service. She hadn't even serve us yet and she straight up decided to tell us she was going to add the gratuity???? Let the people decide how much we want to tip it's not our fault that they only put one Waiter on the floor when they have a special! Makes us not want to come back! Its not the tipping im upset about. Im upset being forced to tip someone who hasn't served anyone yet.

The food was great, also the service was excellent. They welcome you right away. Any questions we had they were very helpful. The place was very clean and nice. Flavor and drinks everything was on point. I would definitely come back again.

Ordered this today and it was an absolute hit. We got the lemon pepper/ garlic butter shrimp & the full house head on shrimp. It was amazing and every last shrimpy was consumed! Thank you!

In the Long Beach/Cerritos area, we are lucky to have several options for quality seafood boils. I chose to come to Pirates Kitchen this time because I was able to order snow crab, shrimp, and popcorn shrimp. I came in on a Friday and service was great. I did order a little too much food; however, I really enjoyed everything. If you're looking to order a seafood boil combo, it is a little on the pricey side here; however, I was pleased with the portion sizes. Unlike some of the other seafood spots, I would have loved if they had stations to wash hands as seafood boils get very messy! I have them throw my seafood boil into a mix of all three of their sauces and I order level 3 "Hot" level spicy. The shrimp is good, but it did get overcooked in the very temperature hot sauces in the bag. Their snow crab legs were so huge that I thought that they accidentally gave me king crab. The popcorn shrimp was delicious, it's a generous portion, and they serve it with cajun fries. The only thing that could have made that better for me would have been a nice cocktail sauce with strong horseradish. I definitely would come again. If you are free, they have a great lunch special during the week before 3pm where you can get 2lbs shrimp for $20. The thing is that I can't pass up their crab, which was incredibly meaty and delicious.

Tanya was amazing! She was welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was perfect. She checked on us regularly, answered our questions with a smile, and made us feel valued as customers. Great food and exceptional service from Tanya--highly recommend!

Really like this place I come a lot and bring my fam and friends for the 2 pounds for $20 deal. The fries are really yummy and the food is great, but went yesterday and omg the bathroom is disgusting!!! It made me scared to eat there because if you can't keep your bathroom clean makes me think how's the kitchen? Please clean the bathroom I couldn't even sit down to pee cause I was so disgusted. Other than that thanks for the awesome deals! And this place isn't bad for the prices.

Sooo good This our go to shrimp spot can't beat the price, taste or the service!!

Loved my experience here at Pirates Kitchen! I dined here with my family over the weekend and was so impressed with the yummy food and the amazing service. We ordered the butterfly shrimp and Cajun fries with a chipotle aioli to start us off, and this was incredible! Everything was so well seasoned and the chipotle aioli was so flavorful and perfectly balanced with the food. We then ordered 2 lbs of shrimp and one lb of mussels with the full house sauce, spice level 2. I would say I have a pretty high spice tolerance and I didn't find spice level 2 (medium) to be spicy at all but that's just me. Next time I'd be curious to try spice level 3 or 4. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to try it again soon!

Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat. We went with a couple of our favorite dishes to run along and the Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. Crispy pieces of chicken and soft noodles and veggies to go with it. We chose to get Mongolian Beef and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy celery, green onions and decent sized pieces of meat in a terrific sauce. I would love to try to replicate that. My wife wanted a shrimp dish so she ordered the honey walnut and it even looked good to me when they brought it. She loves egg rolls, so she got a four piece and said they were pretty good. He wasn't very friendly and kind of just set the plates down wherever there was space, even on top of the plates we were already using. A Beautiful Lobster Cobb Salad -- Just Change the Dressing!…read more I went to one of my favorite local fish restaurants today, The Fish Company in Los Alamitos, and in particular, their offshoot restaurant, Off the Hook. I ordered their newly developed Lobster Cobb Salad, and I have to say--the presentation was amazing! As you can see from the photos, the salad is beautiful, plentiful, and loaded with lobster, bacon, and avocado. There is definitely no shortage of the good stuff, and I really enjoyed the salad itself. There was just one issue, and unfortunately, it was a pretty big one: the salad dressing. In all my years of eating at restaurants, I honestly don't think I've ever tasted a more bland and boring salad dressing. The dressing they serve with this salad completely lacks flavor and, in my opinion, takes away from what could otherwise be an outstanding dish. So, if you decide to try the Lobster Cobb Salad, here's my advice: ask about the dressing and order something with some flavor! Whether it's ranch, blue cheese, or your own favorite dressing, I strongly recommend switching it up. Don't let the standard dressing keep you from enjoying what is otherwise a fantastic salad. The good news is, I'll absolutely be back. I really love this new Lobster Cobb Salad, and I'll definitely order it again. The only difference next time is that I'm changing the dressing to something that actually has some flavor!
