We came here on Good Friday evening, after leaving another seafood boil spot(they had a long wait). We were seated after a few minutes, and orders placed about 815pm. We got the combo #2 which came with your choice of head on shrimp, clams and crab (snow crab). We got the crab shack house sauce with medium spicy. All this seafood is steamed in a bag, comes with corn, potatoes and sausage pieces. Everything was quite tasty. The fries are crispy and had a generous cheese sprinkle of Parmesan. Sweet potato fries also taste great. Be prepared to dig in with bare hands - they do provide thin gloves and disposable bibs. I got steamed rice but maybe didn't need it. The one pound peeled shrimp in garlic butter no spice was quite tasty. The three servers were completely slammed. But they did keep things running well- between taking orders to each table, & serving refills , bussing tables and closing out bills. Communal sink for washing. I think part of etiquette is to NOT rinse out your mouth here. It's used by everyone after all. I do wish the floor was was in better condition - it's a bit rough uneven and slippery. read more

I LOVE this spot! My husband & 3 kids love coming here for a chill late night dinner! We have been very lucky that we usually go on non busy days so we basically have the place to ourselves with occasional other people. The shrimp is amazing! So juicy and flavorful. There garlic fries are amazing and chicken tenders! Everything is always fresh and personally we received everything really fast! They definitely accommodate to us as we do have 3 wild kids and we've always felt very welcomed here! We usually have the same 2 young guys as serves and they are the best! Was really craving seafood boil last weekend and saw how close The Crab Shack was to me so I decided to stop by here. I was surprised it wasn't busy especially on a Friday night. We got seated right away. Started off with their margarita and my boyfriend got a corona. Their margarita wasn't strong at all. I honestly thought it was a mocktail at first but after a while I could slightly taste the alcohol but it was extremely light. Ordered half a dozen oysters and their crab shack fries as starters. Oysters were fresh and delicious but I wish it came with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Still delicious though if you like oysters! Their fries were cooked perfectly. Crunchy but soft on the inside and good Cajun seasoning. We ordered combo 1 to share for our seafood boil. You can choose up to 3 seafood choices but we decided to do 2lbs of shrimp and 1lb of crawfish. For the sauce we chose the crab shack style (medium spice). The combo already includes corn, potatoes, and sausage. Sauce was good and not overly spicy. Staff were nice and checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing okay. The crab and shrimp that we ordered was fresh and so good. We also loved the garlic fries. The chicken wings were ok. Service was warm and pretty fast. The combo was enough for our family of four and everyone had plenty to eat. It satisfied our seafood boil craving and I highly recommend it for locals! Other options are quite a drive away and I really enjoyed it here. We also ordered fries and onion rings and the fries are fantastic here. They give ranch and ketchup with it and it also goes great with the seafood seasoning. There's plenty of seating inside and there were only a few other tables when we came on a Sunday night so service was quick and they were attentive. Walking in I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by the Aloha ambiance and wide spacious seating. We were seated immediately (all 11 of us) and tended to with professionalism and warm energy by our server. I must say, he handled this group seamlessly. Took all our drink orders and answered questions about the menu. This was my first time to eat at this establishment. I ordered the Fish and Chips. I decided to settle on Fish and Chips when I learned that the "Fish" was Catfish. The catfish was fine and the french fries were pretty good. I considered ordering the Calamari but that didn't come with French Fries unfortunately. Men's washroom was clean. There were sinks to wash hands immediately outside the washrooms and I am glad paper towels were available to use when drying hands. I have one bone to pick with this establishment for which I am going to ding them one point. This has to do with the personal appearance of the guys who work at this establishment. As far as I was able to tell, all the guys who were working at this establishment wore their shirts untucked. I consider that to be highly unprofessional so I am subtracting one poin. Guys: Under ordinary circumstances you ought to tuck your shirt in even if it is a t shirt. We've eaten here twice now and let's just get it out of the way this place is fresh seafood prices for frozen seafood reheated. It's expensive. I won't say too expensive. But its reheated food guys! Also the inside of the place is a dump ... not dirty, its spotless, but it's just a concrete floor, steel chairs, and tables with crafting paper rolled out over them. Very noisy. And in fairness to them, I think its the motif they are shooting for. It just didn't work for me. The staff has been great, both times. They are kids, but who cares if they are doing their job and they do, with a smile. And they are attentive. ZERO complaints on service. Then we get to the food ... its not bad, it not great. Again, Its frozen seafood thrown in a bag and boiled. For which they charge you premium prices. I give it a little more than a 3 out of 5, but because of their kids working there, I'll bump it up to a for. Do I recommend the place? No, but I don't recommend against it either. I said I wouldn't come back the first time, but then my son wanted to try it. Now we have, I don't think either of us will be back. For what they charge there are just other, better (IMO), options out there. Over all they are just a "meh" ... and I want more than "meh" when I'm spending that kind of money. Parts of the drumettes were missing. -the potato's tasted unwashed -the booths were uncomfortable, you fell right in like there was no padding, I had to grab a chair. -the ceiling was falling apart and there was scotch tape hanging off from where they tried to tape it back together -the women's restrooms all hard yellow rings. -even the cold WATER tasted funky.. We were looking forward to trying another Cajun place outside of our usual area but this place was disappointing because we left hungry after $120. My family's first time to this location. We were greeted with a friendly smile from our server. She thoroughly explained to us the best way to order. There were six in our group and we ordered two of the combo#3. This was plenty to eat and it was very good. The meal comes in a plastic bag, mixed in with corn, shrimp, crab legs, sausage links, and potatoes. You then out the food on your table and you eat it with gloves on and a bib cause it gets really messy. That's probably the only downside of the whole event. Haven't been to crab shack in a while and that was a mistake! The Cypress location is large and clean with plenty of parking. They have a bar and tvs and fun music to keep you entertained. Their seating is booth seating which bodes well for food sharing and having a good time with friends and family! The service was impeccable starting with the greeting and ending with the check. We were always greeted with a smile and checked on several times during our visit. They made sure we had our bibs and any tools we needed for our meal. They came by to check on drinks and how we were doing several times. The food came out quickly and hot!! We felt pampered! The food was a-mazing! This food is right up my alley and I was loving it all! We started with the yummy and crunchy garlic fries. Next we had the rich delicious gumbo and the flavorful garlic noodles. That meant the service was really fast and the food came out piping hot and fresh. I truly felt like a queen eating such good quality seafood with plump shrimp, meaty crawfish and don't get me started on the crab. That was like the cherry on top of a seafood mountain and it was chef's kiss. There was so much meat inside and the crab innards were delicious. Everything dunked in the cajun house sauce with garlic made it 10 times better. If you also love rice than I recommend soaking up all that sauce and just devouring the rice alone because the sauce is that good. We been to the Boiling Crab in Westminster twice and we thought their food was good, but the Crab Shack is way BETTER! You can get different levels of it and we got the medium and it was the perfect amount of spiciness. We got what's called the Combo 1 for $57 which includes, 1 lbs of shrimp, crawfish & calms, corn, pork sausage and potatoes. It serves about 3 people and it was delicious! The seafood quality was good for the price and definitely eating here again. We agreed that next time we come home we're try some more appetizers and get fish and chips for all of us because they were too good to share. I ordered garlic noodles with shrimp, I was gonna order crab meat with it, but they didn't have any. They were pretty good, large portion of noodles. Everyone else ordered a pina colada clam chowder, gumbo, and chicken tenders with fries for the child, satisfied. Our waiter checked on us often and asked if we were here for a birthday, when we said yes he surprised us with a complimentary funnel cake which was great because we were going to order one anyway! The funnel cake was delicious filled with ice cream and strawberries and big enough for us to split. We were delighted when we got the check and saw that we paid a reasonable price for our food. We showed up right when they opened since I've been so trained from past BC experience to get there early or else wait an hour or so - but was SO HAPPY & RELIEVED to find out The Crab Shack had more than enough room to seat us RIGHT AWAY! At first I thought the Seafood at TCS wouldn't be as good as BC, but OMG it's JUST AS GOOD if not EVEN BETTER. I just think this Cypress Crab Shack is at a location that most people don't even know about, so it's truly a HIDDEN GEM! The server we had, Justin, was amazing and totally on-the-ball helping us with any questions about the menu and was so awesome in checking up on our table regularly throughout! We ordered King Crab Legs, Mussels, Shrimps, Clams, Sausage and White Rice. We ordered them in separate bags of seasoning: 1 Garlic Butter Seasoning (for us Non-Spicy folk) and the 2nd bag Spicy-Medium so that everyone is satisfied. We also ordered Cajun Garlic French Fries. We were seated and looked at the menu, and ordered a combo set for $54 bucks, plus $10 for having peeled shrimp. Total bill $70 before tip, for 2 lbs shrimp, 1 lbs clams, some potato, sausage, and corn. (1) Salt... could not believe how salty everything was. I was shocked at the fact that they even brought out a squeeze bottle of salt and pepper, when everything in that bag was overly seasoned. (2) Quality - Seafood, did not seem to be fresh. Our clams came with broken shells and still had sand inside. Love that extra crunch! Also, love the fact that I got the runs later in the night.... (3) Service - Our server seemed nice at first, offered up up everything in the beginning, you know stuff like water, bibs, gloves, and napkins. Did they come out? No....had to ask several times, eventually the runner brought things out for us.
