I used to come here every now and then, but last night I was very disappointed. I ordered 1 lb of mussels, 1 lb of shrimp, and 1 lb of sausage with potatoes. Unfortunately, the food did not come out the way I expected. The seafood had no sauce at all. I also wasn't given lemon, salt, pepper, parchment paper, or even napkins. Everything felt incomplete and poorly prepared. My green mussels were completely dry and overcooked!! The shrimp was overcooked as well and very salty. I ordered the Canyon Bomb flavor, which is usually what I get, but this time everything was overwhelmingly salty and honestly not enjoyable. The fact that the seafood had very little sauce was disappointing! I'm not usually the type to write reviews, but I felt the need to share my honest experience so the restaurant can improve. My parents love coming here because it's inexpensive and flavor is close enough to wild crab. I don't really prefer this place just because their sauce is okay but everything else is delicious. My family and I shared the crawfish with cannonball sauce accompanied by corn, potatoes, and andouille sausage and I added a 1 lb of garlic butter king crab. I also have a toddler niece who got chicken tenders and fries - that serving was large enough to feed an adult. This was my first time trying the cannonball sauce and I prefer the sauces separately instead of mixed together. Everything was tasty and not overcooked. I think next time, we'll just order the peeled shrimp, peeling the crawfish was way too labor intensive. The andouille sausage was really good, but it tasted more like kielbasa to me. If you're a first time online orderer, they will not make your food until you get there which defeats the purpose of a quick pick up. They are so worried about people ditching. Their food is not bad, though their seafood sauce is a bit lacking. Peeled Shrimp with Cannon Ball sauce 4/5 - They have peeled shrimp! This is a big selling point for those who don't like to peel shrimp shells. The shrimps are also big and juicy unlike mushy shrimps at other places. However, the sauce isn't as good as places I've been to. The Cannon Ball sauce has a strong lemon flavor, almost like it consists of mostly salt and lemon. They just need to tone the lemon flavor down and make it more garlicky and flavorful. Garlic Fries 5/5 - These fries were da bomb. It's been a minute since we've been back here. The waits got untenable pre-COVID and in the intervening years, other places have opened up. To be fair, Claws taste and quality of their food is really ranked up there and we probably didn't eat as much of this cuisine when we stopped coming. Anyhoo, we were here again recently for a birthday dinner (8 of us). Good news, bad news - there is no longer a wait on Saturday nights. The place was at least half empty the night we came and I was a little concerned. Anyway, we got to ordering and got 4 different bags of seafood plus a bunch of sides. The fried okra was and always will be my favorite side. The seafood came and it was as I remembered. Yum! The spice levels were on point and the garlickyness was guaranteed to linger on our fingertips for at least the next week. Seafood was cooked nicely and tasted fresh. No complaints! Our interaction with the server when we ordered was somewhat awkward, bordering on frustrating. For whatever reason, he was insistent that our potatoes/corns/sausages went into specific bags he designated and after trying correct him, we just let it go and had him do his thing. (Like, why did the king crab leg bag - which had to be separated according to him - have to have the corn and potatoes?). It wasn't as simple as "Bag 1 has 2lbs shrimp, 3 corns, 3 potatoes, 1/2 lb sausages and Bag 2 has blah blah blah. He was sweet but confusing/confused. That being said, we upended not one but two drinks that evening and the team there were ON POINT when they ran over and replaced the butcher paper on our table both times and mopped up the area under us in a fashion that would rival a Nascar pit crew. It was crawfish season, so by default... the hubs got their live crawfish cannon ball medium. He usually scoops the sauce & mixes it with his rice. Yummm. On this rare occassion, I was too lazy to peel shrimp & opted for the peeled ones already. Got it cannon ball mild & added some sausages in as well. Can't forget the cajun fries. Good service. Eat literally anywhere else besides here. the service is terrible and the food is sub par at best. everything is market price (which is fine) except the market price isnt listed anywhere. when we asked the server what the market prices today were today and he explained to us what market prices are instead. We end up ordering a boil in bag with shrimp and crab. when it comes out, they present us with the food and 1 pair of kitchen shears to share between us as utensils. we ask for forks and crab utensils so we can eat our food and they being back a plastic fork and tell us to use the scissors to crack the crab and that they don't keep crab utensils anymore because "people kept stealing them". insane that a restaurant called CLAWS doesnt have any way for you to ... crack into the crab claws. We finally ask to speak to a manager because the scissors are too big to get into the small pieces of crab legs, and she just told us that they weren't. When we complained about the plastic forks, she said they had real ones "if we just asked". Apparently at a full service, sit down restaurant you have to specify that you want real silverware for your meal instead of disposable plastic ones. Manager was no help, and tried to make it seem like our fault for not asking for metal forks specifically. At the end of the day, i wasn't even able to eat my meal because they don't have the proper utensils and the unfriendly staff made this and overall extremely unpleasant experience. TLDR; go somewhere else. there are plenty of places in the area that do seafood bag boils for much better and much cheaper. read more

Came here around 6:45 on a Saturday night...you'd think they'd be packed since it's prime dinner time but the restaurant was only half full. We were seated after 10 minutes. Ordered 2 lbs of head on shrimp with their mild cannon ball sauce (Cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter combined), Cajun fries, and garlic noodles. The shrimp were cooked well and were ginormous. Portion of garlic noodles was a little skimpy for $9 but had good flavor. We asked for a side of ranch for the fries and were surprised by a $0.75 charge on the bill...not a huge deal, but I wish they would've mentioned the extra charge. 5 stars for the food, 3 stars for their service. The servers either wouldn't check on us at all, or 3 servers would come check on us within minutes of one another. My boyfriend had to get up and flag a server down multiple times. We scanned the QR code for the menu. For those who like to see the prices of everything and not surprised when the check comes, the online menu does not show the market prices for some of the seafood, and from where we were sitting, I didn't see anything on the walls anywhere with current prices. We started off with the Garlic Fries and Ceviche Oysters. The Garlic Fries were great, and the Ceviche Oysters were okay. We ordered a dozen, and forced ourselves to finish it all. We decided to try the Seafood Pasta, which everyone liked. And for the seafood boil, we decided on crawfish, clams, and snow crab clusters in the Cannon Ball sauce with Fire in the Hole spice level. We had to ask the difference between the snow crab cluster and snow crab segments. Snow crab cluster is the crab legs you'd normally get at restaurants, and the snow crab segments are the leg pieces that broke apart during shipment. Seafood in the boil was good, and the sauce was good, but not great; it was a bit salty. But the spice level for Fire in the Hole was good. We get the spiciest level everywhere we go, and not many places even have it that spicy at their highest level. read more

As a seafood boil enthusiast, this is by far the worst seafood I've ever had. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I got the half dozen oysters in ice, and it tasted absolutely awful. The "under the sea" boil bag had clams that tasted raw and had an odd texture. Never have I ever felt nauseous or sick from seafood boils/food, but I sure did with this restaurant. Do not recommend. On my last visit, I ordered some shrimp and corn. They took so long on the corn that our whole table finished eating. I told the waiter that if they had not started cooking then they can just cancel it. He came back several minutes later stating that it was almost out. Okay, no worries... What they bring out was not what we ordered, this was some vomit mess of an elote plate, when we had just ordered corn on the cob. I politely tell the waiter that that's not what we ordered, he walks over and speaks to his manager, who then approaches our table. This chad mofo, built like a roblox character, comes up to our table and asks if our waiter clarified about which corn we ordered. He did not. However, I didn't think it was a big deal, and not wanting to get the waiter in trouble, lied and said he had specified. This manager tried us, stating, "Oh, because he asked you, we cannot take it off the bill." My table was dumbfounded, as these plates were not $1.50 as the cob, but $8 a plate! We ordered 3 of these! This jabroni took a tone and was really saying that there was nothing he do. I had to take a minute and be like "hold on" duck this, your waiter actually didn't clarify, I was just trying to be nice and not get them in trouble. He then started challenging me saying sh*t like, "Why did you lie then??" The balls on this guy. I know the customer is not always right, but damn! All this for a ducking misunderstanding on their part?!? We went back and forth for several minutes, where we continually refused to take it, stating we were full, didn't order it, didn't want it.
