    chicken tenders & root beer
    Timmy S.

This is an unfair rating for this place but a fair review for my experience. I do not eat seafood. But I was with friends who insisted we come here as they wanted to eat at a seafood boil bag place. They told me there were non-seafood items I could enjoy. The interior is large with tons of seating. We came at lunchtime on a weekday and it was pretty quiet. We were served a complimentary basket of Cajun fries which were okay. The only non-seafood items were chicken wings or tenders. I went with the tenders. Plus a bottle of root beer. The tenders were okay. A little dry. I think there were five or six. They provided a small container of ranch for dipping which I ran out of before finishing. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen otherwise I'd have asked for more. My friends really enjoyed their seafood. My tenders were, at best, just "okay". I know it's not fair to rate a seafood boil place for chicken tenders but that's the hand I was dealt.

    So good!

This is our favorite seafood restaurant. The seafood is fresh, the proprietary Raisin' Cajun flavoring is tasty, and the portions are generous and filling. If you enjoy a bag full of deliciousness, this is the place to go.

Got influenced by Instagram to check this place out. We got the raising crave bucket which we later found out to be $240.... We were offered complementary Cajun fries which were undercooked, not very fresh and had little to no seasoning. The lobster was overcooked and chewy which was very disappointing. The sauce was okay nothing worth coming back for and lacked some seasoning. Restrooms were disgusting each stall in the women's bathroom was unkept and gross. They don't have the sinks like claws or kickin crab to wash your hands at you have to go into the bathroom. There's only one server that was tending to 4 other tables and occasionally checked in. Overall not that great of an experience

We asked to see a live crawfish wtf is this!?

Don't let them convince you they have live crawfish because they don't. We asked multiple times over the phone and in restaurant and our server assured us it was live. After eating, it was clear the crawfish was frozen. When asked to see a live crawfish from the kitchen to confirm it was live as they said, they further proved our point when we were brought a frozen crawfish in a cup. All our server could say was "This is what the kitchen gave me" and couldn't explain why we were lied to. Don't recommend the false advertisement and unprofessionalism.

Delicious seafood boil. First time, we ordered a big boil for like $250. It was so yummy. We seasoned it with their seasoning they recommended. King crab legs, Snow crab legs, dungeness crab, shrimp, clams, potoato, egg, and I think sausage. Total splurging for two people. Second time, we ate there, we got free ice cream. Service was great and the place is spacious. We ordered shrimp and a cluster of snow crab legs (wasn't enough crab). We tried to get dungeness crab but they didn't have any. Crab is so expensive! Not cheap but to treat yourself every once in a while, it's fantastic.

Food-- WHEWWWWWW let's start off by saying this food was PHENOMENAL! My food was hot and tasteful, just perfect. Ordered the bucket added on crab legs and 1 egg. Got raisin cajun sauce mild. This satisfied my craving. LOVED LOVED this place, esp being from out of town I found this place on a YouTube review. Service-- Shout out to Kevin! He was an amazing server from beginning to end. He was soooo attentive to our needs and overal just helpful. He provided wonderful service. You're appreciated Kevin! The complimentary ice cream and fries were appreciated so yummy! Ambiance-- The place is cute just simple no extra stuff. I love the lights outside the front door. I like the ship looking ambiance it gave. I definitely recommend this place to locals and people of town.

I ordered the Canyon Bomb flavor, which is usually what I get, but this time everything was overwhelmingly salty and honestly not enjoyable. Unlike some places where I leave feeling bloated, I don't get that way here. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, which is harder to find than you'd think. A lot of seafood places tend to overcook shrimp, making it rubbery or soggy, but Fire Crab absolutely nailed it. And the garlic fries? Insane. They definitely do not hold back on the garlic, which I loved. The garlic noodles were also incredibly buttery, flavorful, and downright addictive. What really made our experience stand out was the service. We came with a large group, and the owner was so sweet, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. The seafood tasted really fresh overall, and the sauce was flavorful, and packed with seasoning. It was a little on the thin side since I like it thick and it couldve used a lot more garlic. We got crawfish, shrimp, and oysters. The crawfish were decently sized -- a few bigger pieces mixed in, but mostly medium-sized. Still, they tasted fresh and the flavor was really good The Kumomato oysters were just okay. I've definitely had fresher, colder oysters elsewhere, but honestly, I don't come to a shrimp and crawfish boil spot expecting right outta the water oyster bar quality. Overall, Fire Crab hits the craving well. Solid 4 stars all around! Service had great attitide!

One of the biggest things for me is the space. When you're playing pool, you actually have room to move around unlike a lot of bars where you feel cramped. I also like that they have full size pool tables. Since I'm a bit taller, it just makes the whole experience of playing pool that much better. There's regular events and even a pool league on Tuesday nights, so there's always something going on. If you are not familiar with Garden Grove, this place is definitely a hidden gem. The food is top notch, but honestly the ambiance is what sets it apart from your average billiards bar. It is extremely clean, which is important to me, and there's plenty of space between you and other people whether you are playing pool or sitting down to eat. It really does feel like a playground for adults in the best way. I also like that it is family friendly. There's large tables that are perfect for crab boils and similar meals where they lay down wax paper and everyone can sit together and enjoy. When I was there, there was a group of kids celebrating a birthday, and at the same time there were adults playing pool and hanging out. The place is so big that it almost feels like there's separate areas for kids and adults, but it is all in one space and you do not even notice each other. That's how spacious it is. I have been here on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday evenings, and Friday nights, and it is always busy with great energy. The music selection is great too. And this next part is insane to me since I'm a huge fan of famous pool players. The legendary GOAT Efren Reyes is going to be there on April 26th playing pool and interacting with fans. I saw the flyer on the wall and immediately grabbed VIP tickets. I'll be lucky enough to say hi to him up close from the VIP section and watch him work his magic in person, which is just unreal to me. Definitely check out the Wharf, you won't regret it.

There were five of us and were seated immediately on a Wednesday at 530pm. We ordered the Cajun fries, mozzarella sticks, shrimp po'boy, catfish po'boy, green mussels, no-head shrimp, fresh clams, and frozen crawfish (they were out of fresh crawfish and étouffée). Everything was so good that we ordered a second round of almost everything again but with black mussels and head-on shrimp. The head-on shrimp was definitely better than the no-head shrimp. Everything was coated in the Hot N Juicy seasoning, and it was delicious. My favorite was the fresh clams--they were a great size, packed with flavor, and had a subtle sweetness that paired perfectly with the seasoning. The head-on shrimp was my second favorite, followed by the mussels. The frozen crawfish was surprisingly good, but I'm looking forward to trying the fresh crawfish next time. The Cajun fries were tasty, but the portions are small, so we ended up ordering two baskets. The mozzarella sticks were just okay and not something I'd order again. Several of us ordered margaritas (I had the mango), but I wouldn't recommend them. They come in a tall glass instead of a traditional margarita glass and tasted more like a soju-based cocktail than a margarita. Service was decent, but a little slow considering the restaurant wasn't very busy. Overall, the food exceeded my expectations, and the happy hour prices make this a great value. First and foremost, the tables are reasonably spaced out and there's room to walk between them in the restaurant. I don't have that issue here because it ain't cramped andddd they even have an accessible ramp for our disabled folks. +10000 points for accessibility!!!!! Secondly, the restaurant plays pretty solid music (like 90s r&b, hehe) and the overall volume is respectable -- not overstimulatingly loud with yelling or speakers blaring like other spots. My friend and I were watching the FIFA World Cup final match between Spain and Argentina here, and were pleased that they had it streaming on every TV. It was different watching the game with music playing over it instead, but I'm not complaining. Okay now for the actual food portion of the review: a lot of people talk about how seafood boils and Boiling Crab's sauce specifically makes their stomach hurt. I'm pleased to announce that this is the only Boiling Crab that doesn't have me fighting for my life after dining here. The flavor is exquisite and seafood portions are just right. Idk what their chef is doing differently at this location, but I sure hope that they never stop doing it. During today's visit, we shared (1) lb shrimp and (1) lb snow crab in whole shabang sauce and mild spice level with sausage, potatoes, and corn. My friend also ordered gumbo and rice (because you gotta have rice). During past visits, I've gotten live crawfish and their crab fries. Love and recommend both! Lastly, the service is always amazing. Memorable servers in the past include David Duong and today's server was Jess.
