    Seaman's Catch $82
    Maria L.

Was craving seafood boil, checked out Yelp, drove here swayed by the 5 star reviews. Diego welcomed us and explained the menu and their difference with Boiling Crab. He recommended the "Seaman's Catch" for $82 which consists of 2 snow crab clusters, a lb of shrimp, 2 corns, 5 potatoes, 5 sausages and 2 drinks! Love their sweet tea! We picked mild Daddy Sauce and it was perfect. Calamari was our appetizer which came out fast and piping hot. Husband ordered rice for the crab and it was a generous serving. Both crab and shrimps were fresh and juicy. If you like Boiling Crab's sha-bang sauce, you will enjoy their Daddy Sauce version. There was a stream of to-go orders and pick-ups. The restaurant is very clean and cozy (no TV, no loud music, no frills). We will return for the garlic noods and loaded bayou fries! Thank you Diego for the recommendations. This is located next to Popeye's Fried Chicken on Haster x Garden Grove Blvd.

Great vibe. Clean bathroom- great food and service. What more can you ask for. The owner and her staff were excellent. We had "Daddy's shrimp bowl " plus a Oder of smothered wings. The two fresh squeezed drinks were epic also.

Looks better in a pic but trust. It wasn't

I don't even know where to start... this place has completely fallen off. This used to be one of my favorite spots, and I've brought multiple friends here over time. This time I hyped it up again--and honestly, I was embarrassed. The crawfish had ZERO flavor, the shrimp and clams were just as bad, and the sauce tasted off and watered down. Nothing was seasoned right. It felt like no care was put into the food at all. What's crazy is how much food we left untouched. If you look at the trays, that should tell you everything. We paid for all that food just to barely eat it because it was that nasty. That's never happened here before, and it says a lot about how bad it's gotten. On top of that, the service was just as disappointing. We solved your riddle promo and were supposed to get a free lemonade--but of course, nothing. No follow-through, no communication. That's on the owner. At this point, y'all might as well change the name to "Boil Crappy", because that's exactly what this experience was. Between the terrible food, lack of flavor, wasted money, and poor service, you've officially lost a loyal customer--and not just me, but the friends I brought with me too. Do better. .

Super delicious seafood boil place in Garden Grove. We all ordered shrimp with Daddy sauce and it was perfectly spicy and garlicky. The corn was my favorite addition. The fries were crisp but still soft and were great with ranch and lemon. Their lemonade was also really good and freshly squeezed! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Chase. You will be missed. So glad we are able to meet you on your last day. Thank you. So the service was great! Food, chef's kiss! Everything we ordered was delicious. Loaded Bayou fries, were soooooo good! My sister ordered the wontons stuffed with cream cheese, she said they were good. (I'm not a fan of cream cheese) but I will definitely come back again!

Where do I start? This place is amazing. First off, kudos to the single server that handled all the tables. Great customer service, always kept checked in on us even when it got busy. The seafood boil is amazing. Explosion of flavor, and the perfect balance of spice. Definitely recommend going with the Daddy sauce. Highly reccomend going with the Chef's mate combo. Definitely worth it as you get 1 lb of shrimp, 2 lobster tails, and 2 snow crab clusters. I love how it comes in a tray rather than your normal plastic bag. The shrimp was large, meaty and perfectly cooked. The lobster tail was large, it wasn't dry at all, perfectly tender. The snow crab clusters were juicy and sweet, easy to crack. Delicious. Definitely reccomend adding on linguine noodles, they mix it in with the seafood boil, so it gets all saucy and it's the perfect combo together. Noodles come Al dente.

This is the Second time that I go to this placed and OMG! AMAZING !!! DELICIOSO! If you're a garlic lover , this dish will be like heaven to you! The potatoes , the sausage , the shrimp, DELICIOUS! straight out, it's a 9.4/10! Highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys these type of foods. Also, the place is very clean and presentable and service has been amazing.

Finally got to try Boil Daddy! I have always frequented places like Boiling Crab and Kickin Crab, so wanted to see how they compared! The crawfish isn't in season so we went with shrimp (head on), clams, mussels, and some fries with their daddy sauce (mild, medium, hot-we went with hot for one and medium for another) I liked that they have the options for 1/2 a pound! Great if you want to order multiple things and for trying different seafoods without having to commit to a whole pound. The shrimp, clams, and mussels were all good! Didn't taste frozen or rubbery, was very fresh! The medium sauce is perfect! Great blend of garlic flavor and spice, however we did enjoy the spicy (It is pretty spicy!) mixing medium and spicy together was good too! I also really enjoyed their Cajun dusted fries! They give a generous portion as well! Overall really enjoyed the place!

I came here with my friend around 9pm which was prime time. I like how they open late! It was our first time here & it's a cute little place hidden in a small plaza. Luckily we were sat before the rush! I was surprised they only had 1 server working on a saturday night. We ordered snow crab around $36 which came w/ potato/corn/sausage + 1lb crawfish around $14 + 1lb shrimp around $10 + a sprite around $3 in the daddy mixed sauce medium & it wasn't as spicy as I thought kinda tasted more mild but was so delicious overall!! Unfortunately, the combos on the menu are mainly crab base so high price but everything else was good decent pricing & no refills on drinks only water. Service was good maybe new server so only checked on once so had to flag down few times but it was full house so we understood.

Absolutely loved my visit to boil daddy. The shrimp was huge and perfectly cooked with delicious boil daddy medium sauce -- you can really taste the quality in every bite. From the buttery lobster to the yummines of the mussels, everything was spot on. The service was just as impressive -- warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Make sure to get their Arnold Palmer, the gentleman made it fresh for you and it was perfect! If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must-try. I'll definitely be back!

BOIL DADDY OVER EVERY OTHER CAJUN SEAFOOD SPOT ON MY MOMMMMAAAAA!!!! Seriously, the quality of seafood never disappoints, I have yet to eat a single shrimp that was overcooked or mushy The daddy sauce is the best. It's so flavorful and delicious, not too oily or buttery to where it makes u feel gross afterwards. I usually get the medium spicy but the extra spicy is HOT FIYAH We ordered the Cajun fries, garlic noodles, 1/2 shrimp, clam & mussels + sausages & eggs. Fries were good, thick cut and lots of seasoning. Garlic noodles were FIIIIIIIRE. It has the perfect amount of garlic and it's not too overpowering, so it paired really well with the Cajun sauce Sausages and eggs were bomb, their sausages are so high quality My seafood was absolutely sexy. Literally every piece of shrimp, clam and mussel were PERFECTLY cooked. And the sauce my gooooooooodness.... absolutely amazing I seriously swear Boil Daddy is the BEST Cajun seafood spot. Literally the goat There's a good amount of tables inside so it's a great spot for date night and larger groups. Highly recommend a jacket tho bc it's cold af inside. Service was amazing like always! I solved the puzzle and got a free Lychee Lemonade hehe

Great local place. Food is wonderful. Prices are reasonable. Service is personalized and prompt

1 pound of crawfish with daddy sauce (medium spicy) and 1 pound of shrimp daddy sauce and Cajun fries

We were seated right away when we walked in. The daddy sauce is a lot sweeter than I'm used to but it was still pretty flavorful. The crawfish themselves were okay.. some pieces were old tasting? The Cajun fries were also sweet, not too crispy. Overall the experience was ok. The server was great, he was the only one on the floor. It got the cravings satisfied but I would rather go to boiling crab for better quality seafood.

A pound of shrimp, half a pound of mussels, potatoes, sausages and boiled eggs.

We got the 8pc fried Pepper Soy wings and the Large Dubboki with cheese. The wings are always so good here. They're humongous, crispy, and sauced to perfection. The Pepper Soy flavor was so yummy and umami.   The trick is to get the dubboki so that you can dip the chicken in the sauce. The rice cakes are soft, and the sauce is sweet and spicy. The table also gets sat with a free side salad and pickled radishes, which is a great way to cut the richness of everything. A bite of chicken, a sip of beer, some rice cakes, and a bite of cold radishes really makes the night. Come out to Koko's for a drink, some eats, and a good casual time.

This used to be one of my favorite spots, so it honestly makes me sad to write this…read more They've made a few changes to the menu and pricing. The dukbokki can only have ramen when it's a large. On top of that, cheese is now $4 extra and ramen is $3, which feels a bit steep for add-ons. They also changed the salad sauce--it used to be more on the sweeter side, but now it leans spicier (around a 3/10 spice level, still good), which may or may not be your preference. The biggest issue, though, was the food safety concern. Our order included 8 pieces of fried chicken (4 drumsticks and 4 wings). The drumsticks were fully cooked and fine. However, the first wing piece I bit into was clearly undercooked. Because of that, we did not continue eating the remaining wings--the other three were set aside and later on, discarded into the small trash bin they keep at the table. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they told me the redness was from bone marrow due to a broken bone and that the chicken was fully cooked. However, the bone only broke because I bit into it, and the meat itself was visibly pink. Not just near the bone where bone marrow would be. The actual MEAT was red and pink all throughout. This was not just "marrow." Even zooming into the picture, you can see the meat on both the plate and in my hand was still red and pink. Additionally, the remaining wings were only visually checked by the waiter and were not opened or inspected internally, which would not confirm whether they were fully cooked. This is concerning, as a visual check alone doesn't accurately assess doneness. It also concerns me that, despite not being present, the owner claims his servers point of view as factual, including the claim that all the wings were eaten, which is not accurate. We did not consume the remaining wings after the first one I bit into. Unfortunately, there was no apology from my perspective, simply an "explanation" stating it was bone marrow. And the situation wasn't handled with much concern. I ended up feeling sick and had to go to the bathroom to throw up, which completely ruined the rest of the experience. Overall, I'm really disappointed. Between the price changes, the food safety issue, and the owner's response focusing more on defending the situation rather than acknowledging the concern, I don't feel comfortable coming back.

The little potatoes that came with the wings were a nice surprise and were decent. I also got a side of macaroni which was just okay. I wasn't sure if the ham were onions at first cause I tasted no hint of saltiness. My favorite sauce was the mango habanero which I dipped with the ranch. I found the chicken to be good relative to all fried chicken, but average/ok in relation to KFC around the SoCal area. Furai Chicken-Irvine appeared on the 15 essential Korean restaurants in Eater for Orange County, so made a note of it if I was ever nearby any of their locations. So after picking up some great kimchi from the close-by Seoul Do Soon Yi, we stopped by for carry-out around lunchtime. It's a fast food set-up, ordering/paying first and then taking it back to your table or carrying it out. The two page menu consisted of chicken, sandwiches, and sides. They do offer alcohol, both draft and bottled. It was empty when I got in, but the ringing of the doorbell let the front-of-house to come to the front. The cashier was helpful, answering my questions. The meal was for three, so got a Half&Half ($31.98) with Original Furai Chicken (comes with one sauce) and Soy Garlic. Added an order of beer-battered fries ($5.98)...which turned out to be a decent amount of really thick sidewinder fries. It took about 20 minutes for the made-to-order to be prepared, and it was packaged so the steam could be released. KFC has 10 pieces for a whole bone-in chicken, which I prefer since the large breast piece gets broken into two. The original is meant to be dipped in the accompanying sweet/spicy, which I really liked: not hot at all but still maintained that sweet/spicy flavor of a good Jang. The soy-garlic was lightly sauced, maybe trying to maintain that crunchiness. But it certainly didn't have the crazy crunch that really good KFC has, even when not eaten right away. It also came with small ramekins of peppers and pickled radish (which strangely were a bit mushy). With the fries, it was enough for the three of us for lunch, but for me, nothing really stood out to make me want to choose it vs the many other choices for Asian-inspired fried chicken in my area.

The honey garlic chicken was also pretty good, but it's not really special since many other chicken restaurants also have it and they taste pretty much the same to me. What I do like is that they didn't use too much batter, so it's crunchy without feeling creasy/oily. The corn cheese has some sweet potato pieces in it, my mom personally likes that. I find the corn cheese to have a little too much cheese, as the cheese was overpowering the corn. Same for the pizza, the cheese was overpowering all of the other ingredients. I honestly was expecting the pizza to be Korean styled, but it's basically American pizza with the meats replaced by bulgogi and sweet potatoes, so that was kinda disappointing. Overall, my family had a good time there, and we really enjoyed the chickens. I'd come back for the snow onion chicken!

My brother and his fiance split a full order of the beef ribs and side order of sauteed garlic green beans. The food came out promptly. Everyone enjoyed their food. The baby back ribs were moist with flavor, smoked and went well with their bbq sauce. The rest of the family really like their beef ribs. And they even commented that it was better than the other bbq places we been to. Definitely will return and highly recommend.

*** SCAM ALERT *** I…read moredon't use the word "SCAM" lightly, but that's what this was. My adult son called in a $281.62 order off the menu for Mother's Day. They would not accept the order or payment over the phone because the order was "too big." They asked that someone go there and pay up front for the entire order. Since it was the evening before Mother's Day, I drove to them and paid for the order. Yes, I was also presented with a minumum 20% TIP screen, which I declined. When I got there at pickup time (4:00pm) on Mother's Day, the price changed to $325.51. I was told that, for some reason, they had cut about 50% larger portions than the menu specified (see the line items, which should have been 1 lb. each), so they charged me for the difference ($325.51 - $281.62) which was $43.89 (about 50% more for the 2 items they cut heavier). No, there was no mention when I placed the order that the total cost might change due to extra meat. Neither is it shown on their web site or printed menus. When I protested, there was no option. If I don't pay the $43.89 difference, I don't get the Mother's Day food. After about 20 minutes of bickering at the counter with two different clerks (note the time stamp differences on the credit card slips), I was given my original order, with a net price reduction of ($281.62 - $254.93) $26.69. My persistence had paid off. On a positive note, the cook did, twice, walk up to me and quietly apologize for what was going on. I know many folks would have folded in this situation, but that's not my nature. I don't stand for dishonesty. Yes, it was embarrassing, other clients in line were not happy (I let them skip ahead of me so as not to inconvenience them). None of them had price increases. I don't know if the clerks wanted a tip because the management doesn't pay them much, or it this goes deeper and is standard operating procedure that assumes most clients will simply approve of the overage and pay up. In any case, from this client's point of view, this is a SCAM! When it was all over, I took my 11 and 12 year old grandsons (who had been sitting patiently waiting for grandpa to pay) and my food package to the car, drove home and proudly presented the meat to my family. After all, I am a hunter-gatherer; and the food was great!
