This restaurant is very family styled, it's not too big, but still pretty roomy even if full. I believed it's run by an old Korean couple. The auntie was really nice and friendly, she takes orders and brings out food, while the uncle either makes the food or runs the kitchen inside. In terms of food, this is my rating for each dish: Snow Onion Chicken: 4.5/5 Honey Garlic Chicken: 4/5 Corn Cheese: 4/5 Bulgogi/Sweet Potato Pizza: 3/5 I really like the snow onion chicken, it's pretty similar to the one I had in Korea. The honey garlic chicken was also pretty good, but it's not really special since many other chicken restaurants also have it and they taste pretty much the same to me. What I do like is that they didn't use too much batter, so it's crunchy without feeling creasy/oily. The corn cheese has some sweet potato pieces in it, my mom personally likes that. I find the corn cheese to have a little too much cheese, as the cheese was overpowering the corn. Same for the pizza, the cheese was overpowering all of the other ingredients. I honestly was expecting the pizza to be Korean styled, but it's basically American pizza with the meats replaced by bulgogi and sweet potatoes, so that was kinda disappointing. Overall, my family had a good time there, and we really enjoyed the chickens. I'd come back for the snow onion chicken!
Tried their free-range chicken and corn cheese, and wow,it was so good! The chicken was flavorful, juicy, and not greasy at all. I loved that it felt lighter and didn't leave me feeling bloated like BBQ chicken. The corn cheese was perfectly cooked with cheese and it was not overly rich. You can really taste the quality of the food. Plus, the auntie who helped us was super sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely one of my new favorite, highly recommend!
I think we've found our new KFC - Korean fried chicken - spot. The whole chicken is plentiful for the 4 of us - light, crispy and juicy pieces. You can also get sides of spicy sauce to dip. Sweet potato pizza is huge and weighty. It's surprisingly filling with large chunks of sweet potato, pineapple, generous cheese atop a chewy crust. The tteokbokki has a good spicy yet sweet flavor and is cooked to perfection. Might try it with the cheese next time! Sides of slaw and radish round out the meal. Customer service is spot on.
One of the best spots for korean pizza and chicken! Came here on a Friday night and I got seated right away. The owner lady here is extremely hardworking and kind! She was attentive our needs the while we were dining here. I got half sweet potato and half bulgogi pizza with sweet/spicy chicken. Ugh, they are really good!!!! They also give you extra radish if you ask. This place has now become my go-to spot for Korean style pizza and chicken.
Craving for fried chicken and this place happened to next to the Hmart market. Great, crispy, tasty, moist and perfectly seasoned and with a side of salad and a beer to cool down the craving. Service is great (think family run, husband & wife). Once you placed the ordered, it may take awhile for the foods to cook. But it's aok, just kick back & relax in the small but clean, airy, minimal decor and with tv. Overall, I enjoyed this this place a lot.
Continuing my KFC kick brought me here. Impressive customer service by the waitress. She was very friendly, engaged with us every step of the way with our meal, and stayed on top of the order pick up customers all the same. There were no other dine in customers during our visit, seems (or we just hope that) this location has not been discovered yet. Sadly, the chicken choices were nothing special with flavor or quality. Certainly not bad by any means - cooked well, a healthy balance of crisp and moist feels to each bite. They just all lacked flavor very heavily. The flavor for the original wings came off old and expired, if that makes sense. The little salad they give at the start came with an awkward aftertaste as well.. The menu offers other selections beyond chicken, these may be worth looking into.
Whenever I want fried chicken, this is the place. No one does flavor like they do. Honey garlic is my top pick, and the chicken is always extra crispy outside and super juicy inside. A solid 10/10.
TL;DR - solid korean spot, feels authentic & simple classic chicken wings: 10/10 tteokbokki: 10/10 mozzarella sticks: 7/10 - the seating was nice, since i went with a group of 5 friends our server was a really nice older woman, very sweet & friendly!
My friend and I originally came to this plaza to have Kaju but then we changed our mind because we didn't want tofu soup anymore. I yelped this place and decided to check them out because of the good reviews! The lady who runs the restaurant was super nice and sweet! We really liked her! She was so attentive to us and made sure we never needed to ask her for anything! We weren't that hungry so we just got beer, fried chicken and teobeokki! I think we got the garlic soy sauce friend chicken and although it was good and crispy as well as juicy, it was really salty to us. So I didn't eat a lot of it. What I really liked was the teobeokki! I think this place has one of the best home-made feel kind of teobeokki! The rice cake was so delicious and tender as well as soft and chewy, the chili sauce was so flavorful and just right with the spiciness, and the fish cake and everything else in it. This was definitely my favorite! I would come back or just get the teobeokki to go! So yummy!
Ordered bulgogi pizza and honey garlic wings. The auntie was extremely nice. Inside is small but cozy. Food overall is a 10/10 for me. The wings were tender and crunchy while the pizza was both sweet and salty. Definitely will come again!
The food? The best!! Service? Beautiful! The owner was super sweet!!! She gave us extra sauces and even taught me Korean , it felt like eating at home. I'll definitely be back soon, please come visit , they definitely deserve all the love in the world
Visited on a Friday night. The restaurant was empty. Ordered a Bulgogi pizza. There was so little meat on the pizza that you can't even taste it. It was also a very wet pizza-- the toppings and cheese kept sliding off. Service was also lacking. There's 1 lady waitress. Her friends were there so she was mostly sitting with her friends and chatting with them whole time. We had to get her attention for water since we weren't served any. I prefer Flying Padak over this I wouldn't recommend this place.
1. They fried the chicken evenly since it was not overbattered! The flavors on the chicken were also delicious and comforting! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes, and it looks very clean and maintained! 3. Lots of indoor tables with no outdoor options! 4. Staff was friendly and honest about my order time! It took about 20 mins! 5. Parking is plenty but it can crowded during lunch and dinner hours! Note: They do not accept card for transactions under $20! We ordered the half chicken with the soy and sweet garlic sauces on the side and the bulgogi/sweet potato pizza. The chicken was hot and crispy and the pizza was cheesy and flavorful! I thought the pizza would have both flavors mixed in throughout but it was half and half. It was still great though! The staff were very attentive and friendly. I used to go to the restaurant way back when it used to be Love Letter and Chicken Plus. It has a more open and bright vibe now. read more
AMAZING chicken, value and service! Highly recommend 92 Chicken, it is my new go to. The Korean fried chicken was perfectly crispy, even after I had to drive over 30 minutes before eating it. Honey garlic sauce was really good. Comes with pickled radishes. Great specials: currently a deal for two whole chickens for $42! Very clean interior with plenty of seating. The lady working the front was so sweet. She greeted me, even brought me a cold water bottle while I waited and helped me with the door as I left with all my goodies. Definitely will be coming back. read more

Damn. Found myself in the heart of Korea Town in Garden Grove right beside H Mart. So freaking happy I found this new Kjoint to satisfy our KBBQ chicken wings! You will not be disappointed. The lady who took my order was kind and wait time wasn't long. Both sweet and garlic chicken wings were so goooooood! A tad bit pricey for 10 pieces each but totally worth it as this would be a special treat once a month. They were savory and delicious . I have to say it again. You will not be disappointed. My family wasn't! Oh not shown are the side items: finely sliced cabbage w/a tangy sauce and cubed white pickled radishes. Definitely worth the drive to get these. I will be back to try out their other offerings. Best believe! read more
Slice slice baby Pretty pricey Korean fried chicken wings compared to other places, and wings were not that crunchy. We got the pizza that didn't have sweet potato with mayo on the side. The base was marinara. Flavor was good. Crust reminded me of a microwavable pizza... Radish and salad were good. Service was friendly but food took a long time to come out. Once it got busy it was difficult to flag the one female server/owner down. read more

We've eaten here a few times, both inside and takeout. Each time the food has been delicious! We usually get the bulgogi pizza and some wings. The lady working the counter and serving the food is super nice and is like a mother making sure you're taken care of. I always try to get some food here when I'm in the area and highly recommend it! read more

I absolutely recommend this place to eat it's so good and the women that works there is so sweet and nice. I have an autistic nonverbal son and she was so nice impatient with him my son claps and it is very loud so I really appreciate it. Everything she did for us to make us feel comfortable and the food was just so amazing. read more
Another run to 92 chicken for some korean fried chicken. I placed an order to-go today. Ordered: soy wings 10 pcs ($18.99) and original fried chicken 10 pcs ($17.99). Today, the soy wing tasted a bit on the sweeter side, however, the original fried chicken was great! - it was tender and crispy. I forgot if the original fried chx comes with a sauce on the side; it did not come with any sauce. My order came with the cabbage salad and daikon radish. Cravings were satiated pairing it with sake and sojo. Cheers! read more
Korean chicken wings have a reputation for excellence. They are trimmed of fat and cooked twice, providing a crispier exterior. They are a reason to visit Garden Grove, which is beloved for the wonderful and multicultural food options. I FINALLY tried the food at 92 chicken and am so eager to return with friends so we can try more options. Found at the NW corner of GG Blvd and Magnolia, near the H-Mart and Paris Baguette. Parking is at a premium in this busy area. While relatively small, the space is well thought out and each booth has privacy. The menu is unique with alluring choices. I came to try the chicken wings. The sweet garlic wings are meaty and juicy with a wonderful crunchy exterior. My to go container had chopsticks, finely shredded cabbage, diced, pickled something I assume to be daikon radish, and a tasty dipping sauce. The vegetables were a lovely addition providing balance to the meal. My meal was delicious and I had leftovers, which tasted just as good the next day. I highly recommend this mom and pop restaurant for superior wings. I'm so looking forward to the Korean pizzas and trying the other sauces. So happy. read more

This chicken spot is in the busy Hmart plaza. I feel like it was a love letter before or soemthing? I could be wrong. But I think it opened up a year ago. Parking is awful though because of Hmart and Kaju Tofu there. We got 2 orders of 10pc wings in Soy garlic and Honey garlic flavors. We ordered to go and it came with 2 sides of pickled white radish and a container of cabbage salad. They came in nice containers and I was very happy they provided that for Togo. Total was around $42 with the tax I believe so it is a bit about $2 a wing lol. They packaged it with the boxes partially open to let the steam out. It helped keep the chicken from getting soggy on the drive home. I thought the flavors were pretty good. Love a good soy garlic and honey garlic. I think my partner enjoyed the honey garlic more but I thought it was just too sweet for me and not enough savory balance. It was still good though. I am curious what the difference is with the sweet garlic though. I think I'd come back again. I will say that the chicken messed with me and my partner's stomachs the next two days. Not sure if that was coincidental though. read more

Love their pizza! Tried their pizza on a Sunday and came back on a Wednesday with a friend just to eat their pizza again. Their chicken is delicious (they have a variety of flavors for their chicken), but it's the pizza that is quite memorable. I just wish they had English subtitles for us non-Korean speakers so we could more thoroughly enjoy the K dramas that they show. read more
I read all these reviews and was very eager to try this place out. This is located in the same plaza as the H Mart, so be ready to find parking if you go on a busy day (esp weekends). I am a big Korean chicken fan. The menu had a lot to choose from. I came here wanting chicken and pizza. After looking at the menu, we ordered: - whole chicken (red hot pepper and soy garlic chicken) - pizza (bulgogi/buldak). Personally I should have gotten the golden fried chicken and gotten the sauce on the side. I never like the chicken smothered with the sauce. The red hot pepper wasn't really spicy and the soy garlic was alright. I know for a fact if I had gotten just golden friend it would have tasted awesome. The pizza was underwhelming. I didn't taste any buldak flavor and there wasn't much bulgogi. The did put a whole lot of cheese on top of the pizza, and all the veggies they used were cut fresh. We togo'd a lot of food and I ended up waffling the pizza to give it a crunch. It was a bit pricey and the food wasn't as great as I thought, but I think it was my ordering error. read more
First time here! They are located at the parking lot of Hmart in Garden Grove. Th place is small, so if you have a large group make sure they have enough space. The chicken was good, the boneless chicken is popcorn chicken, so be mindful when you order. We got the hotspucy, snow and regular fried chicken! But I was shocked at their Jjampong soup!! Omg, not spicy and not stuffy heavy. Their soupbase was super light and clean, their pizzas are good as well!! There is only one person in the hall so service could be a little slow but she was very attentive and checked us often. Another successful new restaurant and hope they continue with same taste and service!! read more

The food and service here is always amazing! The lady who serves us is always so sweet and makes sure we have everything we need. I normally get their lunch special popcorn chicken because it's such a great deal and their soy garlic sauce is so good. They also give a generous portion of meat and rice along with a side salad, and their popcorn chicken is not heavily battered either. I love how the lunch special lasts until 5pm cause then I can pick it up for an early dinner HAHAHA. Please give this place a try if you haven't already! read more
