Date: Saturday, February 7, 2026 My wife and I stopped by today and I decided to try the chicken noodle soup (phở gà). Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience for me. The bowl was plastic, which I don't feel is very healthy. The soup tasted overly fatty and sweet, and it seemed like the restaurant used the same chicken stock from boiling the chicken rather than making a fresh broth. As a result, the chicken itself didn't taste very good. The price was $12.99, totaling $14.20 after tax, which is more expensive than a similar bowl of chicken noodle soup at another restaurant just a couple of doors north. Parking is generally plentiful, but it can sometimes be difficult since the lot is shared with all the businesses in the plaza. I would not recommend the chicken noodle soup, though other menu items might be better. Yummy opens many locations, so quality may not always be consistent. This is just my personal taste -- others may enjoy a sweeter, richer soup. I prefer to eat healthy, and this soup had too much chicken fat and sugar for me. read more

Yummy Pho is absolutely delicious! The employees are very welcoming and friendly. The inside is very well maintained. The pho is so yummy from the deep rich beef broth to all the delicious meats & noddles. Also the beef ribs are so good! This is now our favorite pho spot!!! Yummy pho isn't just in a name, it's actually yummy pho! My fam and I had the pleasure of trying this place out during a Thursday for dinner. I can't help but notice how clean the interior is. As we glanced through the menu, first impression counts and they offered us free hot or cold tea! Mind you it's a small cup but it's the thought that counts. I ended up getting the pho with rare steak and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The staff brought out the goodies like bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime in a min and the pho noodles in 5 mins. Talk about fast service! The pho was yummy, just the right flavor, and they were very generous with the rare steak slices too. What was the cherry on top was their homemade Vietnamese bbq chili! It's dark red in color and really went well with every bite of pho. I complimented how good it was and the staff brought out a plastic container for us, just so we can bring some of that yummy chili home! I truly appreciate you going the extra mile! Service is awesome, but recipe needs work. We came once, but didn't enjoy the food so we decided to give it another try just in case our first experience was just a fluke. When it comes to phở in the OC, the competition is tough to beat. * Phở Tái, Gân, Bò Viên: 6/10 - broth had a slightly sour aftertaste and meatballs didn't have any tendon The workers were super attentive and friendly which made our experience even better. The place was very spacious and we enjoyed sitting in the booths. They're located in the Catinat Plaza which has plenty of parking, but can crowded at peak times. I came back and wanted to try the beef stew but server said meat would be fatty ( since I asked for lean meat). So I decided to order the chicken pho instead. That was a great decision. It was very good! They served the chicken on a separate plate and it was so tender and juicy. I requested no chicken skin and instructions were followed exactly. Also requested not too much noodles and they gave me about 5 strings of noodles. That was hilarious. :) But it was my fault. We ordered the #5 which was the pho with ribeye, lean brisket, and fatty brisket. First off I usually add hoisin and Sriracha to my pho but I thought I'd taste it without and WOW, I definitely did not need to add any as the broth was very flavorful and the meat was super tender. We got the side of beef ribs and unlike at other pho locations, the ribs here were super juicy, tender, and filled with lots of meat. I'm used to other pho spots giving fatty beef ribs so I really enjoyed what this place had to offer. The staff was super friendly, very attentive, and the atmosphere was great. Unfortunately when I came they were sold out of Thai tea, but I don't blame them as everything we ordered was so delicious. I ended up leaving here absolutely stuffed and would 100% come back even though it is a bit of a drive from where I live. Both places I was very satisfied, with the current price increase they sell a bowl of pho like that is very reasonable, very cheap and good quality . Came here on an early Saturday morning for Yummy Pho's Grand Opening Day! Parking was survival of the fittest and we survived! : ) It was located inside a Vietnamese Food/Cafe Plaza so it definitely got busy. We put our name on the waitlist with staff at the entrance. It was a wait but expected due to Grand Opening. We were given a table number and walked over. Staff came to take order. Then pay at the register. Prices here are also very reasonable comparable to portion sizes. Pho Ga/Chicken Pho - definitely recommended. If you're an American eater, you're in luck because their breast meats are cheaper than dark meats here but it's bone-in so get those 10 soldiers ready! Chicken meats (breast) were tender and well marinated where I did not smell the "meat smell" and dipped in ginger sauce! Broth was light and tasty. Beef Pho - rare steak, tendon, tripe. It was okay. I probably order Pho Ga when I return. Rich beef broth and tender meats/tendon. Staff was very fast with services today. Nobody checked in on us but it was very very busy so I understood - whatever we needed was brought to us within minutes. Staff was smiling, serving, constantly on their feet, checking on potential hangry customers waiting outside. Gift Box: every table receive a gift box with desserts inside. They smelled so good with all my favorite Vietnamese desserts! A must-have! Raffle: They also have tickets for raffle at the cashier for Grand Opening day. I've been to Yummy Pho before, but the soft opening of this new location brings pho ga/ chicken pho to the table and god damn it's pretty good. The kicker is the meat is salted steamed, while a lot of places will just boil it forever. Man this is some of the most tender chicken I've ever had with pho. I will say it does sell out pretty quickly for now, so if it's gone their regular pho is still pretty solid. But they even have a dry style too with soup on the side that I'm a fan of with mi! Went here after seeing it pop on my feed on IG. Definitely a solid, average place for pho and mi. I had the Mi trong ga (egg noodle with chicken), and the noodles were a tad bit soggy. The chicken portions were admittedly on the small side. I did order an extra side of chicken breast that came with bones (which I didn't expect frankly). Thankfully the chicken portions in the bowl itself did come boneless. I wasn't too impressed. Service was good, and the noodles were fairly flavorful. Here are the other things I believe people should look at to deliver on a total pho experience Service - staff is so friendly and attentive. Got refills on drinks. That never happens in other places. Suggest bigger cups so they don't have to refill as often Price. Pho 54 and Phoholic have gotten so expensive. Look how much Pho 54 has cut back on meat and portions. This place has great prices. It was only 5 bucks for 5 huge rib bonee loaded with meat. Maybe it was 6. But I think 5 Cleanliness. Then shopping center it's in is so clean and nice. Plenty of parking. I don't need to tell anyone about the nightmare parking at phoholic. This place is in probably the most beautiful center in little Saigon. That's what Little Saigon is known for, the capital of Pho restaurants! So how does one compete in this competitive environment, That's the genius of Yummy Pho for figuring out the secret sauce. They already opened Yummy Pho #1 in Fountain Valley, it was successful so I did not see the big hoopla, it sold itself but for the 2nd branch in the highly competitive Little Saigon, they had a big celebration grand opening on 12-14-2024. I normally never get out of the house that early but did not want to miss the party! They gave a box of goodies, Vietnamese cakes, tofu pudding and they will have a raffle of a few toys! I hope it's a real raffle and not a gimmick! We got there, saw a long line and was told it would be 45 minutes wait, it was windy and really no fun standing in the cold. I was about to leave after 25 minutes when a beautiful girl, miss Ha Vy was making a commercial or maybe just an interview for Nguoi Viet paper, I was not sure but my paparazzo husband took a picture of us, I told her that we waited so long and I was just about to leave, she said she would get me a table, lucky us we went right in. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with a lot of orchids, beautiful murals and it had nice booths! It sure looked cozy. Now about the food, I was shocked by a reviewer who complained about not having enough meat or noodles, she sure had an ax to grind, it was totally not true, they gave so much meat, take a look at the picture I lifted a huge chunk of beef! The bowl was huge like a "train size" usually this would be charged $16 to $17 elsewhere. The Chicken Pho was the best on PLANET EARTH!!! So I could not chew them furthermore most other restos used too much broth from the can so it was too salty, here it was perfectly seasoned broth from bones, the dipping sauce for the chicken was so good, all I had to do was adding a little of lime and it was just amazing. So is there any complain? Yes, my Pho Bo came out lukewarm, the room was cold so if it was not piping hot, it cooled down really fast, I asked it be microwaved, the server took it but I waited 15 min while my husband finished his chicken Pho and I only had 3 bites! Finally another 5 min I got my PhoBo back, IT WAS EVEN COLDER BC it was reheated but left in a corner and it cooled down, I WAS BENT OUT OF SHAPE so I had to take it home to make it piping hot before I could finish it. From YummyPho #1 the broth was a gel like consistency overnight, it's proof the broth was all bone, NOT FROM THE CAN LIKE MOST OTHER Pho restos. The cakes were so delicious, it was brilliant to give away a free box, it's advertisement for the bakery, now I have to go to the bakery soon. I decided to give this a 5 stars bc at $12.99 it's a bargain in this skyrocketing inflation economy, the food was excellent and so mouth watering, the cold pho was bc of the door wide open during this grand opening, normally I'm sure it would be closed, it was so crowded, they were so busy so left my pho unattended till I got it cold again, I let it slide this time! We've been to grand openings before for boba spots and for some of them they weren't ready for the large volume of customers. They're currently in soft opening which is why I was interested in trying and was so surprised I had to write a review!
