The drinks are just as amazing--creative, refreshing, and perfectly made. My favorite is their Mole Enchiladas, the sauce is so rich & out of this world! The ambiance was such a vibe, with great music and a fun, welcoming atmosphere that made us want to stay and enjoy ourselves. I came here for dinner last night with my best friend. I arrived around 6:15pm, easily found parking, and was seated right away. We both ordered the enchiladas combo. 5 stars Fresh off a day at Disney, we wandered into Sabroso! like two slightly sun-dazed adventurers in search of treasure. The staff greeted us like long-lost friends and cheerfully helped us navigate the menu. The beer arrived ice-cold (a small miracle after a day of walking), and the food? Genuinely delicious. The shrimp are big and very tasty. I love garlic and really enjoyed their buttery garlic sauce. I liked that I was able to customize my order by getting veggies instead of rice, although they did charge a bit more for that. The beans were really good and seasoned well with cheese sprinkled on top. Their chips and salsa were super good! The salsa had just the right amount of spice and was a bit chunky. It definitely tasted homemade. The only con is that it's on the pricier end. But they do give you plenty of food. But this place is over priced, some of the foods was not up to par, they want to charge for everything, my granddaughters bf n my dinners were good though. My wife said her asada quesadilla was salty n my wife loves salt, granddaughter didn't like the loaded fries ( gave her little shredded cheese instead of the cheese sauce like the pics ), other family members didn't care for theirs neither. Sabroso the last time I went here was close to 8 years ago and oh how have they changed. The environment is definitely upscale and the ambient lighting is perfect. Great for a date night. I can also say the servers are very personable and kind. The only down side to this is that they don't offer free chips. I don't know if all places are the same now, but I am definitely use to the tortilla chips being complimentary. Also I don't recommend the ceviche the tostada-to-ceviche ratio was off. Now the other food. I order the al pastor tacos and the governor tacos. Both tacos are fantastic in taste, great tortilla and meat was nice. I also thought the pickled red onions was a great touch. Overall the food was tasty, but things I couldn't overlook. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish. It is very much an upscale Mexican restaurant, with a large and gorgeous dining area with a large bar and open kitchen. My wife and I stopped in for lunch before going to the nearby Angel's stadium for a ballgame, and found the food to be decent and the service to be excellent. It's a busy plaza, but the large parking lot provided plenty of parking spots. We were greeted at the door by our soon-to-be server, Andrea, and she was engaging and informative throughout our stay. This is the sort of hostess that I take recommendations from, so proceeded that way. Our waters were kept full throughout, and numerous servers stopped by to make sure we were OK. The food came out in stages, all clearly made-to-order, and staged really well. Chips and Salas ($3) - not complementary, but having free refills. It's worth getting for the price, as the chips are all freshly made from the homemade corn tortillas. And the two salsas were good. Signature Tamale ($9) - it seems expensive for just one tamale, but it was really good, with a good ratio of masa and carnitas. Two - three would have filled me up. Taquitos ($15) - 3 short but fat deep-fried wrapped tortilla around shredded chicken. My wife enjoyed it, especially dipped in the salsa from our appetizers. Camarones En Crema ($25 plus $3 for Diabla) - adding the Diabla was a mistake for me (I asked for light diabla...if this is low, I don't want to know what medium is), and I paid for it about an hour later. But the dish itself was good, with a strong mushroom flavor, consisting of 7 really good jumbo tail-on shrimp, cooked perfectly (with that light chewiness I seek). It came with an OK rice and refried beans. My original intention was to get the garlic version of this, but will probably go with more tamales next time. I ate here a few weeks ago on a Sunday because of all the nice comments I had seen about this place. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. The server got my order wrong, and I had to correct it when my food came out. She seemed upset that I pointed it out, and afterward, she stopped coming by to check on us. I ordered the enchilada plate with no onions, no pico de gallo, and no sour cream, but it came out with sour cream. They took my plate back, but honestly, it felt like they simply wiped the sour cream off and added more sauce to the enchiladas rather than remaking the plate. My husband's food and mine were also brought out at completely different times, so we had to wait even longer after already having an issue with the order. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't very impressive either. The chicken in my enchiladas had very little flavor, and surprisingly, even the beans weren't that great. With the service issues and the food, I personally won't be returning. Let's start off with how much this place has changed from the original location to its new upscale one. It's like I walked into a fancy Chili's tbh. There was nothing that screamed Mexican about this place to me. Just because you hang a Mexican flag and serve Mexican food doesn't make this place "Authentic Mexican." I am not going to lie this place is catering to a certain race now and deterring from where they originated from. I heard more old school music like the temptations and the delfonics on the speakers which made me laugh. Who are we trying to scare away with loud and proud Mexican music? It wasn't until about 15-20 minutes later when I finally heard a song in Spanish, Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican. Not dissing though. I am not going to knock the food because it was pretty good. The Chicken Milanesa Torta was just ok for my taste and not worth trying again that's for sure. I would just try a different style plate next time. The California burrito was too trendy for me and I shouldn't have gotten it but that's on me. But the PORK TAMALE! Definitely get that! It's worth a try. Now down to service. Marbella was our server I believe at least that's the name on the receipt since she never said her name. Took our drink order and didn't come back with our drinks for very long time. And she wasn't even the one who brought our drinks to us. Nor was she the one that brought our food to us. The food is really good. It's the time it takes to get the food that's the problem. We were seated at 7:20pm and didn't get our food until almost an hour after we ordered. Meanwhile, 3 nearby tables that were seated way after us received their food. This seems to be a consistent problem here based on other reviews so I do hope that they reorganize the kitchen better. As far as service, our waitress was nice but we didn't get checked on much in the 45+ minutes it took for our food to arrive. Had she checked in with us, it would've given us the opportunity to ask her about our food and maybe receive it sooner. However, the other staff members who checked us in, seated us, filled our drinks, bartender, etc. - they were great. We ordered their molcajete, quesabirria, asada taco salad, guacamole, chips and salsa, and elote. Everything was delicious. Only 2 complaints was that 1) they charge for chips and salsa and 2) they charged me for extra dressing without letting me know it was an extra charge and I didn't even get the extra dressing. I wasn't super hungry, so I was hoping for some à la carte options--but they don't do à la carte. Also went in craving crispy tacos and learned they don't offer hard shell tacos, despite some info floating around on Yelp. Small expectations, reset moment . This spot has a legit history though. Years back, it got national love from celeb Chef Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives game, and they still feature a few of the dishes he highlighted--worth checking out if you're a fan. They've recently moved to a new location in the same parking lot, and here's the funny part: you can still see the shell of the old restaurant sitting there. Once you look at it, you immediately realize... yeah, that place needed an upgrade. It was pretty rundown. The new space feels like Sabroso got a second life--upgraded bar, cleaner look, better vibe. A proper resurrection. I went with the blackened chicken salad and it delivered. Juicy, well-seasoned chicken with a nice smoky kick, crisp fresh greens, and a bright cilantro dressing that actually had some personality--not the bottled afterthought kind. Solid choice when you want flavor without the food coma. But the real win was the service. The staff was "hustling"...attentive waitress, other team members jumping in, lots of genuine smiles. Sabroso moved! I was quiet shocked to see that they got a new building (same parking lot as old building). It is beautiful inside, the food is still delicious, and the service was great. It was also great to hear that they family that originally opened the restaurant is still around. Prices have gone up, but that is the case for everywhere! Had an industry event here and was quite happy that I now know where to go when I'm craving for garlic shrimp. The best garlic shrimp (Camarones Al Mojo de Ajo in the menu) I've had that's near my place! The way they serve this was perfect - Mexican style, so the plate came with rice, beans and warm tortilla. The servers were great - polite, personable and efficient, especially the lady manager who was very professional and knowledgeable of her product. Told us that the place is a family business and had been operating it for years. The atmosphere and interior of the restaurant is a mix of relaxation and celebration..a great hangout place. ONE IMPORTANT TIP though-- make sure you ask if there's any additional charge for extras. Our group wasn't happy with the additional $3 charge that showed up on our individual bills. Came here after a friend saw the great rating and wanted to go with me. It's in fact a great place to hang out with friends! I loved their patio and bar seating. The highlight is the workers are all so helpful and check in to make sure everyone is have a great time. Great location with plenty of parking. The food is also very delicious. All the flavors were fantastic. I just wish my plate wasn't 26$! But having a famous chef's approval will do that. I wish they had complimentary chips and salsa and better horchata. It been like a year since my wife and I been here since my wife was pregnant. But we were finally able to come back and visit this restaurant with our daughter for her first outing. We were surprise that they changed building to a bigger one in the same plaza. They also changed the name from Sabroso Mexican Grill to Sbaroso Mexican Kitchen. The new location is much more modern, a bigger space, outdoor seating, a bar inside and a viewing window where you can see them making the handmade tortillas. They also updated their menu as well but the entree we like are still there. We even saw some familiar faces and they remember us as well. My wife got her chicken mole and I got my carne asada plate. They don't have strawberry fanta anymore so I got a coke for my drink and my wife got her horchata. They also charge for chips and salsa now so just be aware. Our food came out quick and it was delicious like we remember. The previous time I been here, the service was slow but this experience was much better. I also got some carne asada and shrimp blacken tacos to go as well. I'm happy to see this place growing and can't wait to come back to catch up with the manager Sam. read more

We've been looking for a good molcajete spot and we have finally found one after two years! The food is literally the best you will ever have and it's made with lots of love. The pricing for food is also very reasonable for just how amazing it taste. The staff was phenomenal, everyone was friendly and very helpful and informative. We had the pleasure of having Marbella and Luis serving us and they were attentive to us the whole time. We will most definitely be back to try all the other yummy looking dishes there. We ordered the pork chili verde and it was everything you want it to be--tender, tangy, and packed with flavor without being too heavy.
