They recently opened on Sundays for dimsum. Excellent dimsum at a reasonable price. Plus you get to drink some alcohol.

I love this bar!! The friendliest bartenders and truly strong drinks. I was giggling after one of their "Bruce Lee Chees". This place is also nostalgic since they have retro/pinball games and a switch. I definitely want to come back and play the games. I think if you open a tab with the bar, you get an hour of free play! Thank you Alex for giving us girls a memorable experience!! Cheers and see you soon!

The atmosphere is truest a gamer's cave. There are so many kinds of video games here for those who love to play fighting games or even the retro coin playing games. The food is very good as I drunkenly ordered the garlic parm fries TWICE because of how delicious it was The bartenders were nice and made sure to ask if I want to keep my tab open or closed. There are promotions like spending a certain amount of money (on an open tab) will allow you to get the unlimited access to some of the games) I would come here again if my gamer friends ask to go out and drink! What a pleasant experience

Barcode is a great establishment that has been around for seven years. Great people, good food, nice games and amazing drinks! I recommend the space dust ipa, princess peach, shoryuken, the Chappelle.

Honestly, Barcode is one of my go-tos when it comes to recommending bars in Orange County. The retro neon sci-fi look of the bar with its displays of nerd culture through the decades, mixed with pockets of different old and new gaming options makes it easy to come back over and over and have a completely different experience. The themed cocktails are more than just "mai tai with a different name," which, as my mother and former bartender always told me: if you can make it at home, it's not worth getting at a bar. So it means that pretty much everything on their menu is fair game (but I do recommend trying out the Shoryuken or the Joker). And as far as bar food goes, I'm in love with the fried zucchini sticks and nacho fries. Someday maybe I'll even work up the courage to get friends to split the dumpster fire, and rave about that in a review too.

If your idea of fun is video games and drinks, then Barcode arcade is the place for you! I love the vibe of this "barcade." The fun LED lighting, figures and collectinles on display, and mix of console games and arcade cabinets are the perfect aesthetic combination. The menu is full of game-themed cocktails and there's a great selection of beer too. The bartenders were friendly and welcoming. They helped us get our drinks quickly as a line started forming. We only had time for a round of drinks this time, but next time I definitely want to play some games.

We had just finished dinner at Ruth's Chris in Anaheim (will write that review soon), when we decided we weren't ready to go home yet. Checked our phones to see what was fun to do nearby and we came up with Barcode! Just 7 minutes away. Big private lot in a newer area of Garden Grove. We got carded at the door. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the friendly staff (including the owner, Rich) and a big crackling fire in the patio area. 3 pinball machines. Wall to wall arcade games. Lots of tables to hang out. Didn't get any food, but what I saw looked good! Full bar. Highly recommend Barcode for great drinks in a fun atmosphere!

This place was super fun. Incredible nostalgia with the n64 and SNES. Great drinks too - cocktails for 11 bucks these days is ridiculously cheap. Chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks were delicious. Will definitely be back!

Love this concept so much! A bar with arcade games? Just be prepared to switch your money into quarters (or bring some) if you want to play these games. My friends and I shared the Dumpster Fire, which comes with Garlic Parm Tator Tots, Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, and 10 Chicken Tenders! We chose the Lemon Pepper flavor and it was perfectly seasoned, not too powdery. One tip is to each the mozzarella sticks when it first comes out so it still has the stringy factor or else you'll just be eating a cold block of cheese (unless you like that haha). There are concept cocktails that were pretty interesting, but feel free to ask the bar for customized drinks too depending on whether or not they have the ingredients! This is a great place to come if you want a small place to hang and have a drink with your friends. There's an outside area with plenty of space and seating as long as you're there quick enough. Such a hidden gem!

Barcode is a cool spot to hangout, have a drink, and place some arcade or video games. It is a cool concept. They have a small selection of food & their drink menu is ok. Not giving them the five stars they could use some deep cleaning of their establishment. Your shoes will stick to the ground and the tables are sticky and wet from drinks. I would recommend for them to put coasters on their tables or find a spot for people to put their drinks while playing arcade games.

Barcode has been around for a few years and I've come here numerous times and have always had a great experience! From the outside patio with the fireplace during the winter to the numerous video game/arcade machines inside and the food and cocktails served at the bar, you can easily find a game to play and have a fun time! The bartenders here are pretty friendly and it's always nice being able to chat with them. The cocktails here are not too pricey and they all have nicknames tied with video games which is pretty cool. When I went there recently, I was ordering their flux capacitors quite often which is a gin & tonic with elderflower and blueberry. They stream movies at the front of the bar along with games like Super Smash Bros that you can play with your friends. They have all your typical arcade machines along the wall and pinball machines towards the back. They will also sometimes do local gaming tournaments here as well if you are interested. I've heard good things about the food here from my friends who've tried it before. They have a good assortment of bar food but their kitchen does close at 9:30pm as a heads up! I love coming here for all the retro games and the drinks and I enjoy the vibe here with all the people who pass on by! This is a great spot to check out and I high recommend coming here!

Our server Kim started with drink orders from the girls for peach oolong tea and hot Hong Kong milk tea. Daughter also ordered Mapo Lamb Dip from the Spring menu, Pork Belly Sesame Noodle, Wonton Noodle Soup, and Cheese Lava Tart Trio. All items were ordered for the first time at this visit except for the porridge which we have had many times before. The peach oolong tea was a disappointment as the flavor came from added syrup and you couldn't really taste the tea. We tried the BBQ Pork Puff Pastry because it had black char siu versus the traditional red char siu. The puff pastry was good and flaky. The Mapo Lamb Dip has creamy whipped tofu that could be spread on the accompanying pita. The Wonton Noodle Soup doesn't have the usual thin noodles one would normally expect. Instead, the noodles are thick and wavy. We counted 6 wontons for 2 each person. There were 2 bunches of baby bok choy. The Pork Belly Sesame Noodles had tender braised red pork and came with mustard greens. The whole prawns were well prepared such that it was easy to remove the shells that covered them. We liked the garlic sauce and the garnish of fresh cilantro. The kitchen tends to have a liberal hand when it comes to chili. We'll need to remember to tell them on our next visit to go lighter with the red chili pepper flakes. Service was seamless by Kim. Water glasses were refilled when half empty. Extra napkins were brought when serving chopsticks were delivered. Kim kept watch on the progress of the meal and we did not need to tell her that we were ready for the Cheese Lava Tarts which would need 8 minutes. Daughter wasn't able to stop at one cheese lava tart and had a second one. It was not as crowded as it could be so parties could be spaced out more. They were out of Mother's Day gift cards, but we were able to get it at Vox Kitchen.

In my head it wasn't that much. when i arrived to pickup it was like.....uhhhhh oops? this is fine it's fine! 1-prime minister dog or shipwreck dog? (receipt names don't match the attached paper menu just fyi) 2-Commanders smoked turkey leg / Prime Minister smoked turkey leg 3-Admirals corn cup 4-Captains melt $15- 1/2lb wagyu angus beef patty w sweet pepper, grilled onions, cheese, candied peppered bacon & polynesian sauce on toasted monterey jack sourdough bread. +togarashi fries 5-Admirals pickle So far i've only inhaled half the melt. and i must say IT IS delicious. Obviously with covid takeout i imagine if eaten fresh off the grill the sourdough would be crunch exterior melty soft. BUT even with a 35minute travel time home, the steam builds up inside so kinda soggy, it's still so yummy! so much wagyu beef so juicy plus the slightly spicy sauceOoMPh just slap me! the fries are like sliiiiightly spiced. meh. i've never been a fan of fat steak fries. too chonky. will try the tots next cuz who doesn't love fluffy crumbled tater tots!??? will update as i eat my way thru the rest but the big juicy dog is being eyed ---- Loco Moco burger $14 - is even better than opening week. It actually seems flatter now, buts it's every bit as delicious and better. which if you take into account you can't eat it fresh cuz u have to take it home (25-30min drive for me), then it would've been awesome right off the grill. It's downright juicy, oddly i love the frisée? it's like thinly crunchy which turns out really nice especially when it's seeping with whatever that thousandislandy looking sauce with the faintest of spicy hints (not actually spicy, the sweet savory juices drown it), however it makes the super soft bun mushy which makes your hands ultra messy (do not touch your phone or your face, that's how viruses get passed around). Egg was nestled in the center so when i popped it, the oozy goodness enhanced the already amazing burger. Comes with a side of polynesian mac salad which is nothing like blind rabbits truffle mac n cheese but this mac salad is cold with fun crunchy bits and a hint of a spicy kick. Banana Bread $8 - yo i do not know how they came up with this but this item is godly. the bread itself is good, dense, sweet like lvl3 delicious. but the explosive flight to lvl7 is from the super caramellyish thick sauce and the crunchy pieces of whatever sprinkled about. PLuS whatever that white cream is, all together is a super amazing experience. Saturn 2 for $22 - alright i thought this was the 1 of the 4 drinks that i liked from opening week. the online order thing is weird, it LISTED as 2 for $22, but when you add 2 to your cart, it charges you $44, so naturally i thought each order is a set of 2 right? so i order 1 (set) for $22. And that's where it got weird, the package contained 1 pouch which appears like 1 drink of saturn BUT they also gave me 2 ziploc bags of ice (1 of which was leaking), 2 straws, 2 sets of garnish (i LOVE that even tho its to go, they're giving you the garnish even tho it was 2 leaves and 2 flowers). Now with 1 pouch tho it's either you share the same drink (very anti-social distancing) or you bring your own glass to split it....and then ice+garnish it. anyways um...it's strong, like just out the front door strong, like beast claw just ravaged your face strong. every sip, i felt the tonic punch me in the face and i would fade away a little. The taste? really wasn't appealing to me, but i paid $22 for it so i'm gonna drink it fml. IT JUST wouldn't end though! i kept sipping and sipping and oh lord my face kept getting punched so i was like....alright let's just man up and down this sucker. BAD MOVE. X_X. Brain decided to take a 5 hour nap. Woke up...and ITS STILL UNFINISHED!!! PLZ JUsT END!! 2nd curbside attempt -Loco Moco Burger -Banana bread cake x i'm calling it quits on the drinks. it's just not the same level as tBR (older sibling) Parking: structure just north of the block is a couple bucks an hour ticket place. and supposedly there's a "free 2hr" corner lot across from them/ice rink but it's very limited in space. Service: always a pleasure. For curbside they'll bring it out to the curb but the street doesn't really have per se like an expanded area to wait, so if you're there for long, you could totally be blocking traffic cuz people are turning into the small 2 becoming 1 lane street. And i hate idling my car, 10minutes of idling? We're killing the planet (and she's having her revenge now). Nah i'll park at the open lot and just walk over, i need the exerFRIES anyways. -apparently i saved this andnever posted I apology. Im coming back today and i anticipate itll still be awesome.

As I went alone, my reservation was for a bar seat, which was cool as I was able to watch the bartenders make lots of very cool shaken and stirred drinks. This place serves absinthe drinks plus absinthe served the traditional way (cold water on sugar cube into the alcohol). I did not try that, but was tempted. My pineapple old fashioned (Retired Old Man was what Sergio (bartender) told me) was very tasty. The Tamerand Marg with mezcal that I tried next was just okay (should have stuck with the whiskey!). We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.
