Eat literally anywhere else besides here. the service is terrible and the food is sub par at best. everything is market price (which is fine) except the market price isnt listed anywhere. when we asked the server what the market prices today were today and he explained to us what market prices are instead. We end up ordering a boil in bag with shrimp and crab. when it comes out, they present us with the food and 1 pair of kitchen shears to share between us as utensils. we ask for forks and crab utensils so we can eat our food and they being back a plastic fork and tell us to use the scissors to crack the crab and that they don't keep crab utensils anymore because "people kept stealing them". insane that a restaurant called CLAWS doesnt have any way for you to ... crack into the crab claws. We finally ask to speak to a manager because the scissors are too big to get into the small pieces of crab legs, and she just told us that they weren't. When we complained about the plastic forks, she said they had real ones "if we just asked". Apparently at a full service, sit down restaurant you have to specify that you want real silverware for your meal instead of disposable plastic ones. Manager was no help, and tried to make it seem like our fault for not asking for metal forks specifically. At the end of the day, i wasn't even able to eat my meal because they don't have the proper utensils and the unfriendly staff made this and overall extremely unpleasant experience. TLDR; go somewhere else. there are plenty of places in the area that do seafood bag boils for much better and much cheaper. read more

Came here around 6:45 on a Saturday night...you'd think they'd be packed since it's prime dinner time but the restaurant was only half full. We were seated after 10 minutes. Ordered 2 lbs of head on shrimp with their mild cannon ball sauce (Cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter combined), Cajun fries, and garlic noodles. The shrimp were cooked well and were ginormous. Portion of garlic noodles was a little skimpy for $9 but had good flavor. We asked for a side of ranch for the fries and were surprised by a $0.75 charge on the bill...not a huge deal, but I wish they would've mentioned the extra charge. 5 stars for the food, 3 stars for their service. The servers either wouldn't check on us at all, or 3 servers would come check on us within minutes of one another. My boyfriend had to get up and flag a server down multiple times. We scanned the QR code for the menu. For those who like to see the prices of everything and not surprised when the check comes, the online menu does not show the market prices for some of the seafood, and from where we were sitting, I didn't see anything on the walls anywhere with current prices. We started off with the Garlic Fries and Ceviche Oysters. The Garlic Fries were great, and the Ceviche Oysters were okay. We ordered a dozen, and forced ourselves to finish it all. We decided to try the Seafood Pasta, which everyone liked. And for the seafood boil, we decided on crawfish, clams, and snow crab clusters in the Cannon Ball sauce with Fire in the Hole spice level. We had to ask the difference between the snow crab cluster and snow crab segments. Snow crab cluster is the crab legs you'd normally get at restaurants, and the snow crab segments are the leg pieces that broke apart during shipment. Seafood in the boil was good, and the sauce was good, but not great; it was a bit salty. But the spice level for Fire in the Hole was good. Everything about this place was fantastic. The shrimp are off the hook ! Tip: Always ask for the already been peeled shrimp. The price difference is negligible and it just makes everything a lot easier. Next get the half loaf of bread to dip in the delicious shrimp sauces. read more

On my last visit, I ordered some shrimp and corn. They took so long on the corn that our whole table finished eating. What they bring out was not what we ordered, this was some vomit mess of an elote plate, when we had just ordered corn on the cob. I politely tell the waiter that that's not what we ordered, he walks over and speaks to his manager, who then approaches our table. This chad mofo, built like a roblox character, comes up to our table and asks if our waiter clarified about which corn we ordered. He did not. However, I didn't think it was a big deal, and not wanting to get the waiter in trouble, lied and said he had specified. This manager tried us, stating, "Oh, because he asked you, we cannot take it off the bill." My table was dumbfounded, as these plates were not $1.50 as the cob, but $8 a plate! We ordered 3 of these! I had to take a minute and be like "hold on" duck this, your waiter actually didn't clarify, I was just trying to be nice and not get them in trouble. I love claws it is my absolute favorite Cajun restaurant and believe me I have tried many. The reason I always go back is because of their delicious food which is always consistent and their amazing service (shout out to Amy she is the BEST). Calling over the phone to place an order can be hard at times but that's okay because I usually go to the restaurant and order anyways. It is always prepared accurately and quickly too not much of a wait. I have tried a lot of items because I have been here many times but my favorite things to order are clams, peeled shrimp and some corns (if I'm in the mood). As a seafood boil enthusiast, this is by far the worst seafood I've ever had. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I got the half dozen oysters in ice, and it tasted absolutely awful. I hadn't been to Claws in while... and finally got the chance last week. It wasn't during crawfish season so most of their crawfish was frozen. It didn't matter to me because all I wanted was crabs. They were out of Dungeness but they had snow crab and king crab. I had to get the King Crab for $40 (market price). It was two legs. I went for their popular Cannon Ball flavor, which is a mix of all three flavors in one. It was perfect! There was plenty of meat and two legs was more than enough for me. They gave us scissors to use for the legs. For sides, we also got a pound of crawfish and an order of their gumbo. The gumbo came with rice on the side. It too was pretty good. The crawfish tasted frozen like we anticipated but the seasoning was good. They had plenty of drink deals going on while we were there. The service was pretty good and the food came out fast. The inside of this place is pretty large. They have plenty of tables and chairs and a large bar in the middle. I also like that there was plenty of TVs for sport lovers. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We initially were on the waiting list for Joes Crab Shack but the wait was so long. I checked my saved searches in Yelp, and saw Claws. We called and was told that there was a 5-10 minute wait, so we opted to check it out. OMG I am so glad we did. For starters, the customer service was exceptional. EVERYONE, was so nice and attentive. We ordered 3 pounds of crab; two were all of the sauces combined, and spicy. One of them was simply steamed with a side of drawn butter. We also ordered the parmesan garlic fries, fried okra, and fried shrimp. EVERY single thing was on point! The only recommendation that I have is NOTHING.... My family and I wanted to sit at the bar that had all the barstools piled up or stacked to the left at the back and when we wanted to order a dink as we waited for a table they refused us, so we walked up to the front and just waited for the rest of the family to arrive. Then I happen looked back at the bar and they let one of their own sit at the bar and served him a cocktail. So I went back to the bar and stood next to this guy and order a beer which they looked at me and was happy to do so now. They had no choice but to give me a beer because they knew I had them and if they didn't serve me a beer all hell was about to break loose. I even went and got some bar stools to sit at the bar. Not with the size we got. -Cajun Fries: Tasted like your normal Cajun Fries. -Roasted Cajun Corn: Came our super late since our server went on break and never told us. This one was amazing! Chipotle mayo complimented the sweetness of the corn. Would get this again! We got 2 lbs of shrimp and 1 lb of frozen crawfish (no fresh ones) in very mild cannon ball style. The shrimp were huge compared to the last time we ate here. The crawfish were also huge for it being frozen! You can actually tell it's frozen just the way it tasted but whatever. They need to adjust their sauce. It came out too watery that it wasn't sticking on the seafood every time we would dip. Also, compared to BC or KC the sauce was somewhat bland for us. Been here a couple times before and besides the food being amazing the service was amazing as well. But today, so far claws is batting zero. Took our server 20 mins to come take our order! And when she did come she only took our drink order. That took 15mins after to get our drinks. So because of the server taking so long we decided to order our food once our drink was dropped. 30 additional mins finally some of our appetizers came out and than we just had to say something. Party of 12 with 18% gratuity automatically added on I guess we would expect a little bit more attention. Took over an hour to get our food and than when we brought up concerns about not getting our appetizers the response was oh we are short staff in the kitchen but funny thing is that other guest who came in after us had gotten their food before we even ordered water. Haven't had a seafood boil in forever so came here on a Sunday and it did not disappoint. Started our meal off with a tequila magonada UM YUM! So so tasty! Then we orderd 3 lbs of crawfish and clams with potatoes, mexican streetcorn, garlic fries, gumbo and we finished it ALL NO MERCY lol. We love this place, we go here often. When this COVID-19 hit and had to shelter in place, we heard a message to help support your local restuarants. So we did. We ordered online (no prices) and went to pick up. When I got there, WoW! Our normal ordered when we dine in is usually about $65, with drinks. This time it was $120!!!!!!! Double!
