I usually like their service. However, today's service needs improvement. We got our table right away. The server came and took our order in an appropriate time. Then came the downside. During our meal time, no one came over to ask how's everything or if we need anything. No one refilled our water and drinks. I had to stand up, walk over to the back and ask for refill... while our waiter was busy chatting with another waitress. After I got the check. Again, no one came to collect the payment. This place is located in a high traffic plaza, so just know that parking will always be a struggle because you're competing for parking for 85 and Gen. I came on a weeknight and was seated within 10 minutes - service was alright. I ordered 1 lb of shrimp with the canonball sauce and some potatoes and corn + sweet potato fries. Bomb! Close in comparison to Boiling Crab. The 3 pound meal deal is such a good deal! You get 2 appetizers included. Between 3 of us it was the perfect amount of food. I forgot to snap a pic of the wings but I HIGHLY recommend. I got both bbq and buffalo, my favorite was definitely the bbq. They don't overdo it on the sauce and the wings are perfectly crisp. Idk if it's happening to anyone else. But when you get fresh live crawfish the shell should be hard and bright red and not soft with some being light red, orange/yellowish color. Also it shouldn't have like an herbal bitter taste. Every time we order from here and the garden grove(in the past). We would ask and they always said it's live and that the crawfish is shedding their shell that's why it's soft. I've grown up in a family who eats crawfish and never had this problem. read more

I ordered and they did not get my order incorrect and forgot to include my garlic bread and sent garlic fries. Somehow it was my fault the person who took my order got the order down wrong. They told me it was my fault because they re read the order to me and should have caught the mistake myself I was told they would do me a favor just this one and switch it or they would just void the order and charge me the correct price for the garlic bread. All this over them getting my order wrong. The level of pettiness if laughable. Catfish fillet was not good. Quality of catfish was poor. The fish was not firm like the catch we have in America. It was a SWIA catfish. Really mushy not flaky.Cajun boil was good . Customers service was bad. Our server was more interesting on watching the tv and their phone than helping us. It was only 3 table that was there. Also he forgot to add our garlic noodle that we ordered. Only seen him twice , taking the order and dropping off food. The host did more work than everyone in there. Went to claws for the first time and it wasn't the best.. the service wasn't good either we got sat down and were left alone for almost 15 mins until we asked a random waiter if they can bring us water.. about 5 mins after our waiter finally came to take our order.. we ordered fries, garlic bread, and garlic noddles the appetizers were good but our waiter forgot to put in our garlic noddles. it's not a big deal but the fact we were already annoyed for having to wait so long just to get our order of drinks in was annoying us more.. Our server was kind but he needs more customer service training. the food itself was mid the sauce was too watery and had a funky taste. The crab legs we got had a good amount of meat on them but the sauce was just killing the whole thing .. we decided to step out of our comfort zone to try a new seafood restaurant and we were reminded why we stick to our regular place. Rarely checking up on us and expected to pay 18% tip which I did not think was fair for her to get a tip for the service... to the point we had to constantly bug another server who was already busy! The food in this place was PHENOMENAL, flavor was present and food came fairly quickly, everything came in hot which I GREATLY appreciated! However, the bathrooms were SO disgusting and had a VERY foul smell, also our server NEVER came to check on us, she just took our order and we never saw her again, my husband had to ask the host for our bill because our server was nowhere to be found. Apparently she was new but IMO that's not an excuse nor reason. I'm very mixed about this location so I'm not sure yet if I'll be returning. Maybe for a to go order I MIGHT. read more

Not a bad place to get your shrimp or mussels or clams or whatever seafood in a bag. The flavor is exceptional. Full of flavor. There is no hard liquor and only beer on tap or bottle. If you're looking for any other kind of adult beverage you will be out of luck. Parking is ok. It does get full due to Gens being in the same parking lot but it's free. No wait on a Tuesday. It sure of other days. Staff was pleasant and came around to ask if we needed anything. Price was not too bad for this kind of food. I will be coming back. read more

Went here with my parents the other day and the food was amazing! The service was also nice. We were seated immediately around dinner time. I liked that there wasn't a long wait time considering it was in a populated area. The menu is on a QR code, which you scan to access the menu. They have different flavors for their sea food bags to choose from and you can even choose your spice level. Along with certain deals on their pounds of bags to choose from. Picked up a to-go order to bring home to celebrate my birthday which consisted of a shrimp boil (shrimp, potatoes, sausage and corn and added some lobster we had on hand at home to the boil. The sauce was runny and watery with no flavor which was disappointing which left the whole meal lacking in flavor. The seafood itself was fresh as were the veggies. It's a big letdown paying $60 dollars for food that has no taste and ruined what would have been a nice birthday dinner at home. We thought everything was good, except the Garlic Noodles, my cousin was not a fan; she thought it was very plain tasting. The 3lb Meal Deals I got was with Cannon Ball sauce in the Fire in the Hole spice level. It had a good spice, not too spicy. My cousin thought it was a bit salty, bit I didn't think it was as salty as when I tried it at the other location in Garden Grove. Although he fulfilled our requests promptly, his demeanor lacked the expected level of customer service. While I understand that fatigue may be a factor during late shifts, maintaining a courteous attitude in response to polite customer interactions is essential. I live in Maryland (this kind of restaurant exists here too) and while some seafood is really expensive, most of it isn't and is readily available for a decent price. It just seems like a waste to pay slightly more for something I could literally make at home with very little effort, but that's just me. Anywho, my sister had been telling me about this place for a while so on my last visit she took me and moms. I ordered the fried oysters, catfish and a pound of shrimp in the cannonball sauce. First of all the cannonball sauce is weird (too much paprika maybe? IDK) and I will NEVER order that again. When I think of seafood bowls I think one of three things: cajun (bayou style), old bay (mid-Atlantic style), and hot pot (Chinese style). The flavor of the cannonball sauce is none of these and I was underwhelmed and maybe even a little disappointed. Next time I will for sure be going with a classic garlic butter. That being said the shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked (which I'm always worried about because its so easy to overcook shrimp). The oysters were good too. Nice light batter. The catfish was meh. My mom and I always come to this restaurant to get seafood boil we've never had a problem with the food or anyone at this location until recently. Last Wednesday my mom and I visited the restaurant and everything seemed to be going fine. It wasn't until a couple hours later that my mom and I started feeling lightheaded and having the need to vomit. We ended up having food poisoning. We barely started to recover.
