Banchans aka side dishes to enjoy with your Korean bbq 4.25.26
Mimi J.

Review 64/365 Day Challenge Wow can't believe Mr. Lee's is still around. This was mine n my hubbies kbbq spot when we 1st started dating n didn't look into much Korean bbq than the original brisket n galbi were the only 2 important meats we only needed for a good Korean bbq This AYCE KBBQ restaurant use to be located off Norwalk & OrangeThorpe Ave in the city of Norwalk. But looks like it got relocated to where Bulgogi house use to be in City of La Palma. When we got in, told the associate we had reservations, they informed us that they'll hanger our table ready and we're seated under 5 mins. My son wanted to celebrate his 17th Birthday celebration w a few of his close buddies and we picked here for its decent reviews along reasonable AYCE Pricing. We got the Menu "A" $ 24.99 per person for the boys since they only would enjoy the basic. Some of these boys never had Korean Bbq before and just wanted to try what Korean BBq was. Associates were really friendly. They have a self serve for your side dishes including Banchans that were kimchi, japchae (Korean glass noodle) soy sauce wings, gimbap, rabokki, soups and a lot more. Restaurant is its own building with a lot of parking available. Really spacious inside and big. Lots of seatings and different side of the restaurant where you're able to house a private event. Was bummed they didn't have any type of frozen yogurt machine for dessert but They sell mini individual ACE creamery ice cream cups here that's really yummy. FYI 18% GRATUITY automatically added for parties 6 guest Plus. ~ YOU CAN JOIN the YELP WAITLIST ON YELP

Ambiance: it's a standalone establishment located in a huge plaza with ample parking around. It's fairly spacious inside, and good for large group hangouts Service: staff working here are generally attentive and friendly, refilled water and changed grills frequently, also checked upon the table a few times to serve food Food: there's menu A and menu B for meat selections, and all buffet style side dishes available to both options Banchan - *** plenty of side dishes available in a large row of trays with all kinds of food, although most aren't that fresh, the kimbap was good Beef Brisket - **** thin slices, recommend Spicy Brisket - **** spicy and tasty, recommend Marinated Beef Belly Steak - **** sweet and juicy, recommend Beef Belly - **** fatty thin slices, recommend Pork Belly - *** average Price: very affordable prices for ayce Korean bbq, not top tier quality but worth the price, expect $30~$45. And a last tip, don't waste your money on the claw machines near the entrance

We love coming when they aren't super busy. It's a Monday night. Price is up a $1 since January 2026. Today's menu, may 4th 2026 posted.

Mr Lee Bbq House is now served Buffett Style for the Side items (Salad, toppings, Kimchi, etc). My friend and I always like coming here for the endless buffet-style side dishes that pair well with the Combo we order. The location offers a Combo A and a Combo B but the entire party will need to order off the same combo. The location usually has 2 staff members during lunch so wait time for food can vary but overall the quality and pricing are the best in the area.

You can definitely get better quality food for about the same price or a little but cheaper somewhere else. There was only one server running the floor, so it was kind of hard to grab their attention. It wasn't busy, but he was just everywhere. Left with a full stomach but considered the food to be "mid". For being known as "Bulgogi House" before the rebrand, it's okay.

Lots of meats

If you want to enjoy your meal here... DO NOT USE THE RESTROOMS. I seriously mean it from the heart lol don't use it before you grill and don't bother using it when you leave. Arriving to a not so busy restaurant on the weekend already gave me the chills. ESP bbq that I have never been to. First thing we noticed was the grill. The inside looked so disgusting. Good thing the actual grill was cleaned. The huge portions of meats got us all excited until we decided to use the restrooms. I pretty much lost my appetite. The floor was dirty but somewhat acceptable. The toilets were unacceptable. Like gross. REALLY GROSS! I tried to take the image outta my brain so I can eat a little lol I guess the meats were ok. It looked fresh, but something still seemed off. I dunno. We all kept wondering about the cleanliness in the kitchen -_- The hot foods station suk. They took forever to refill the rice wraps. The chickens looked really old and gross. The cucumbers had a weird taste. The soup was decent, but took forever for them to refill. The fish cakes were disgusting. I never tasted such disgusting fish cakes in my life... I think this place has potential tho. They just need to clean the restrooms and make the hot foods station more appealing. Service was ok. Staffs constantly changed our grill. Took quite long to get a cup of ice. Also, they took forever to bring back the bill. I don't think I will ever go back..

I'm going to be straight up...... Food = Horrible Customer Service = Bad I've been to this location in the past, under another name of course and did not recall the food being this bad. I don't give out one star reviews like candy, so when you read my review believe me when I say this, I would have preferred to make a sandwich at home. Food was a joke, the meat was dry and flavorless (No I did not overcook the meat) and the sides were gross. The meat had bizarre texture and after taste. After eating I had a sensitive stomach for the rest of the day and did not eat. But wait there's more....... Server continuously forgot my orders, and hardly checked in. I had to get the attention of other servers to request things to order. I gave this place a shot, because there is another cheaper kbbq spot by where I live and it's delicious so I did not want to judge this place based on its reviews. The most ironic thing is my experience was worse than the rating on Yelp and Google. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know, and would not even feed the food to my dogs cause I would be concerned if they were to get sick. My recommendation is to keep scrolling and keep looking for another place to eat for dinner.

Went during lunch and it wasn't busy and there was ample parking space. Worker was very friendly and made sure our orders come in and out quickly. The lunch menu selection is lacking and you have to pay extra for steamed eggs or tofu soup. We ended up getting beef brisket, beef belly, and pork belly every order. The meat quality was decent and the grill was cooking very efficiently. They have a side bar buffet for the hot foods and cold sides. They have a good selection to choose from.

My cousins and I had lunch here last weekend. Such a huge location! I like that you can make a reservation! The meats are very fresh! And they do a great job coming to ask if you need more. You can only order three meats at a time, per grill. I also like the buffet areas, so you can get the sides as you please. There is also fruits, jello, chicken and dumplings. There is a 90min time limit. Starts when your reservation starts, regardless if people in your party haven't all showed up.

Breana M.

Mr. Lee's was a great gem to find after my go-spot was overly crowded over the weekend! The wait wasn't long and the service was good! We had never been to this location as our waitress was patient in explaining how their AYCE works. I appreciated that the menu was simple and straight to the point. The buffet was also filled with an array of options to accompany the proteins which was great. I thought it was great how large this place was & observed that hosting large parties wouldn't be difficult here because they have ample space. The proteins were ordered from the menu A and we got both beef and chicken. Next time we'll probably order off of menu B to have more of a variety of options because we chose not to eat pork. The check was very reasonable and I'll absolutely be returning!

First time coming here, we loved it! I love that they gave the sides plus so much buffet style. You also serve yourself your white rice and they have a bunch of sauces. The service was good and fast. The ambience is good, it's a big space and ventilated that you don't smell like Kbbq like other places. The price is $23.99 for Menu A which is what we got it's cheaper than most places and they don't automatically add gratuity. We got brisket, spicy Brisket, and pork belly. All so good and great quality.

Excellent value for money. Large restaurant with lots of parking and lots of seating. All you can eat barbecue starts at around $25 pp. Service is good. The food is excellent. The meats are quite good, especially the beef brisket, the bulgogi and pork belly. The Bandhan is okay. Good place to go with a group.

It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

I highly recommend the seafood pork bone soup noodle because it was super tasty, but be aware that mild is still kind of spicy. The lady in the front was strict but reasonable, just like any real place should be. Customers were mostly family they knew the place and chatted with the boss. The atmosphere is very simple with tables that you can sit anywhere.

It "looks like a typical burger joint inside with Booths. There's a side door for to go orders. Food service was quick and the portions are big. For their price, I would hope so. We ordered the following: Bulgolgi Fries Garlic Steak Noodle Egg Cheese corn Ranking in best to so-so, I'd have to say is the steamed egg. Yes, I was surprised too. I thought the Bulgolgi fries would be number one. Sadly it's not. If you mess up steamed egg, ima gonna say no to the rest of your menu. I would order two next time and just stick to that. The cheese corn was okay, but compared to PaDak and other local Korean spot I say skip this. The cheese tasted weird to me and I did t like that it was also a kraft American cheese. As a cheese lover, I only expect that square cheese to be on a burger or cheese melt. The Bulgolgi Fries could serve 3 people. But it was drenched with sauce, and spicy sauce. Not enough Bulgolgi to pay $20. The cut of fries were this nd tasted like sweet potato. It just didn't fit my taste buds. The Garlic noodle okay. That's Al I have to say about that. I'm glad I finally tried this place, but I don't know if I would come back for anything on their menu. I would rather go next door or across the street.

From the friendly service that made us feel like home, to the delicious food, everything hit the spot. We ordered the cold noodle, seafood pancake, bibambap, and short rib combo. All the dishes were so good! And all the banchan that came with it was the cherry on top. The only negative was the table was kind of small for all the dishes...though that could have been user error with us ordering way too much. Portions were surprisingly big, especially the seafood pancake. The whole time, our littlest one was making a mess and the ladies that worked there did not seem perturbed at all, and kept commenting about how cute he was and interacting with him. This type of service and response made us feel more at ease and able to "enjoy" our meal, and that makes a world of difference. I would recommend! Note the parking lot is a little small.

My mom also tried this place and recommended it, so I felt confident this would be a spot I would be coming often. We ordered the naengmyeon combo with spicy marinated pork and a side of soybean paste stew. The lady was nice when she seated us, but seemed a little bothered when we only ordered the above items, because she coldly asked "if that was all" and we said yes. She walked away then yells back asking if we wanted rice because rice wasn't included, and we said no. Despite the rough start with the vibe of the lady who took our order I was still hopeful the food itself would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. I've never had naengmyeon that had so much chili flakes, and as someone who doesn't mind them, it was weird. The soybean paste soup was bland. And the side dishes were just okay. After the meal, I got really thirsty and my face was puffy so they are using msg. If it was a good meal, I wouldn't have minded the msg, but for food that was mediocre at best was not worth it. Although I won't be back, I did see people ordering for take out nonstop, so there must be some other dish that is giving them customers.
