We came here for lunch. We waited for about 5 minutes and got seated. It took a while to get our drink and to put in our orders. The waitress brought one of the drinks but it was a wrong one. It took 3 different waitresses to finally get a cup of ice and a few slices of lime to fix my own drink. The complimentary garlic bread was good. We ordered baby back ribs, brisket sliders, a few kids meals and an Asian salad. Overall, Their food was good but their service needs improvement.

This place was extremely busy for a Friday night dinner! The parking was a little rough, but we were able to find something closer by the restaurant and we were able to get seated within 15-20 minutes. Our server immediately came by bringing us the menus and the hot and fresh and oily garlic bread rolls that are to die for! We ordered our drinks and meals pretty quick. The strawberry lemonade was perfectly sweet and tangy; although I am not a huge fan of the sugar rim. The Spicy Delight mocktail was really good, but was not as "spicy" as I was hoping for, even with the large, raw jalapeno slice WITH seeds. The salad was very fresh and the vegetables were nice and crunchy; the tomatoes were perfectly juicy and plump. My boyfriend and I are huge black pepper fans so we added tons! I am always skeptical of ranch dressings but this one had good flavor. The burger you can tell was not frozen and fresh ground beef, cooked a nice medium so it was moist. The roasted broccoli was the star of the night! My boyfriend got pickles on the side so I can eat them. The tri-tip was cooked medium and completely covered in the tangy BBQ sauce so every bite was perfect. The mac & cheese was a *little* cold on the plate, but the sweet potatoes were HOT and so so so so SO delicious! The biggest disappointment was the grilled asparagus that was considered a premium side for an extra $8.95. I love asparagus and the roast was okay, could have been more roasted for my personal preference and for that price, I would rather skip it altogether and get the roasted broccoli.

It's been years since I've been here and I'm glad to report that it still has some great bbq. Service from Ana was great from the start to finish. Lunch time was bustling which surprised me for a Monday. Everything was really clean and very good air circulation so you didn't really smell like the bbq smoke. I went with the 2 meat combo and chose Mac n cheese for my side. The Tri tip and pulled pork was great. Just wish the portions were bigger lol. My foodie friend got the brisket and baby back ribs which were also great. The loaded baked potato needed more cheese in my opinion. I went with the passion tea and also got to try the cucumber spritz. Both were thirst quenching and delicious. We got dessert to go and they were so nice to pack a bag of ice for the ice cream not to melt. Definitely will be back.

We got their Slab of Baby Back Ribs and their Tri Tip. Food was great! Their famous shredded onions for appetizer was amazing, it was really good! Fast and good service, great ambiance. Would definitely go back to this place.

First time visitor maybe 2nd but it's been a very long time since dining Located Cerritos town center near macaroni grill side Plenty of open parking Indoor outdoor dining Reservation online or walk in Clean spacious somewhat dim, plenty of seating options tables booth bar Server was pleasant and friendly and checked up multiple times to ensure everything was good and being taken care of Order spinach artichoke dip - more spinach than artichoke and a bit runny and bland, probably a pass as a half order is $16 but the chips and salsa that accompany it I thought were much better than the overall spinach dip itself The bbq was really the star! Pal order beef ribs and steam broccoli and beans. Meat was tender off the bone and met her craving Order 2 bbq combo: tri tip and baby back ribs. Very tender moist flavorful, baby ribs peel off the bone, tri tip tastes like steak (very good yes!) Steam broccoli was actually pleasant not mushy and help break the richness of the sweet potato that was a bit on the buttery side The peach crisp / the topping was crunchy and sweet and the peaches were hot and tart and everything covered with vanilla bean ice cream that was not sweet which work out great Great for group outing date night family friendly and celebrations. Overall on the pricier side but quality and value with leftovers made it worth it for the treat. Would return back to try more!

Late brunch with friends and honestly... a solid time all around. We were seated immediately and parking was surprisingly easy -- plenty of spots, but fair warning: it's in a busy plaza, so don't panic if it looks chaotic at first glance. We were seated outside around 12 PM on a Saturday, and there was still plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which is always a win. Our waiter Israel was an absolute sweetheart -- super kind, checked in on us often, and kept our water cups filled like it was his personal mission. 10/10 service energy. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad ($20.95). Flavor-wise? Definitely tasty. Portion-wise? A little smaller than I remember from a year ago at another location. Not shocked -- portion shrinkage is sadly a universal restaurant experience at this point. I'd give it a 7.8/10. Good, but could've used a bit more chicken to really shine. My friends ordered a mix of lunch items (including sliders), but honestly... we were way too busy chatting, laughing, and living our best outdoor brunch lives to stop and rate food properly. That should tell you something though -- the vibes were vibing. Overall: great ambience, great service, solid food, and an easy spot to enjoy a relaxed brunch with friends. Definitely a must-try if you're in Cerritos. Happy eats!

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon, and we finally decided to try Wood Ranch since we drive past it all the time. We arrived around 1:00 p.m., and the place was packed! To our surprise, there was no wait and Ralphy sat us right away. We mentioned it was our first time visiting, and he assured us we would not be disappointed. Boy, was he right! From start to finish, the service was on point! Janelly was our server and she was definitely patient with us. We went back and forth about whether we wanted something light or a full meal, and she never rushed us. We asked to see the dessert menu before ordering because we always try butter cake whenever a restaurant offers it and they did! So we knew to order a lighter meal because we were saving room for dessert. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef rib entrée. I chose loaded mashed potatoes, and he went with asparagus. Our food came out piping hot and everything was soooo good! The ribs were good with the Chipotle BBQ (I got the regular BBQ sauce), and the sides were good. We of course ended with the butter cake. My boyfriend absolutely loved it, and I liked it. I prefer a firmer crust and this one was a bit softer, but I would still order it again. On another note, my seat faced the kitchen, and I was impressed by how efficiently the restaurant ran. I have eaten at many places but I never seen plates leave the line so quickly. It did not matter whose order it was, whoever walked by delivered it. Nothing sat for more than 30 seconds. I even asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to let them know how impressed I was with the service, the efficiency, and the food. Overall, great service, food, and ambiance, we will definitely be returning.

I Went to meet some friends for lunch at this location and it was very modern with ample seating and very clean..I ordered the lunch barbecue combo with baby back ribs and chicken with a house salad. The Food was hot and fresh full of flavor and tender. We had a great waitress who was helpful and kept attending to us. This was my first time at this location and I enjoyed it a lot. Great place to bring family and friends to dine.

Had such a good experience at Wood Ranch! The food was amazing and everything came out fresh and flavorful. I got the ribs, lemonade, iced tea, and tried a few other things too; everything was really good. The ribs were super tender and full of flavor. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice too. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

Decided to try something different tonight. Went to Wood Ranch bar and Grill. Ordered the steak, macaroni and cheese with asparagus and the salmon, asparagus with the baked potato. The steak was the perfect size and super tender. The macaroni and cheese was good. The asparagus was cooked to perfection. The salmon was nice and flaky cooked perfect. The baked potato was nice and crispy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. Our server was super nice and very attentive. We seated fast upon arrival. Everyone around seemed to be enjoying their food. The restaurant was the perfect amount of noisy and quiet. There were a lot of lively conversations going on, but it was quiet enough to hear each other without having to talk loud. It was a great experience. Would totally go again.

Came by during lunch, service was good, fast, and efficient. Menu had a lot of different options and we ordered the classic burger (medium rare). Dinner rolls were super good, fries were great, but the burgers were just ok. I think burgers definitely needed some sauce with flavor to it, even some mayo would have been nice. Ended up eating it as is and used ketchup for the fries on the burger for seasoning/flavor. Thankfully ordered the burgers medium rare so there was some moisture to the burger. Overall rating: Food: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Menu: 10/10 Restaurant Vibes: 10/10 Price to Overall Dining (POD): 8/10

Our department decided on Wood Ranch Cerritos for our monthly outing. This was a happy surprise as I had never heard of Wood Ranch and was looking forward to the experience. Our party of 16 was seating promptly (it helped that we arrived as soon as the restaurant opened!) Our servers were very attentive, friendly, and kept our drinks full. Our individual orders arrived within a reasonable time. I ordered the veggie burger with a 1/2 a Cesar salad. The veggie burger was moist and tasty and the salad, sitting within a sheared purple lettuce cap, was brimming with flavor. Plenty of parking out front. Enjoy your visit!

Went for lunch at this location we love the Irvine spectrum Restaurant wasn't too busy was able to seat quickly. Waitress started off attentive took our drink order but then kinda forgot about us. She happened to walk by then turned around and got our drinks finally while we had her there we placed our food order Again it took awhile finally received our food and then she forgot about us again so no drink refills Food was okay I think the service just left a bad taste in our mouth and wanted to leave We did watch the waitress be attentive to other guest I wouldn't go back to this location unfortunately.

What I received was essentially a regular steamed-style burger with smash-style sauce on it. There was no char, no crust, and none of the texture you would expect from a smash burger. I was very disappointed. The patty was soft and heavy in a way that didn't feel special or well-executed. We also ordered the chili fries with pastrami, which honestly helped save the meal. The flavor on those was decent, though I personally wish they used regular-cut fries instead of crinkle cut, which made it feel more processed than it needed to be. On the positive side, parking was easy in the plaza with wide spaces, and the wait time was reasonable--about 15 minutes for three burgers and fries. The establishment appears to be Filipino-owned. The menu simply says "burger," but Yelp labels it as a smash burger spot, which is confusing because the presentation includes brioche buns and a smash-style mustard sauce, but not the actual cooking technique of a smash burger. It's unclear what they are trying to be. Overall, it just didn't meet expectations. I'll stick with For The Win instead.

If I'm taking it to go, I like to get the lettuce and tomato on the side so the burger doesn't get soggy, I definitely recommend doing that. The evening started off strong, as we stopped by during Hoppy Hour (around 9ish). There wasn't a wait, and it wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. The front staff was nice and polite. She gave us the option of either a tall round table or a shorter rectangular table. We of course, opted for the slightly shorter (height-wise) rectangular table. Once we were seated, we were given the menu, and the waitress told us that we would be right with us. She stopped by to ask about drinks, and we opted for water. She dropped off water and came back with perfect timing because by then we were ready to order. I also love the simplicity of the menu. There really aren't too many options where you feel overwhelmed, but there are still enough choices to pick from. Shout out to the pastrami quesadilla, I didn't realize it had been swapped for a new menu item until I asked about it this time around, but I'll be waiting for its comeback! We ordered a few items: the mac and cheese balls, the Wagyu bone marrow burger with truffle fries, and a double smash burger with ribbed finger potatoes. We had to get the mac and cheese balls since it was Hoppy Hour! I also didn't realize that on Wednesdays, the double smash burgers are half off. I'll definitely remember that for next time. After we ordered, the food came out quicker than I expected. It was a nice surprise. I think the first item came out about 10 minutes after our initial order. The mac and cheese balls came out hot, which was great. The breading made them super crispy and gave a nice crunch that balanced really well with the softer, chewier mac and cheese inside. I was glad the inside wasn't too runny since that would have made it like lava! I didn't see a cheese pull this time, but next time I'll try again to see if I can catch one. It was a great start to the meal. The burgers came out shortly after we finished the mac and cheese balls. I totally forgot that the truffle fries came with sauce. I should have asked for the sauce on the side, but it wasn't a problem that it was added on top of the fries. It just made them get soggy a bit faster, but that's no problem; it just means I've got to work faster! The burger was good and came out super juicy. I asked for it medium, and it looked about medium, so no complaints here! I never realized before, but the bread was so fluffy... it was a super pillowy bun with a nice bounce to it. It definitely helped balance out the meatiness of the patty. The hint of tomato gave it a nice, refreshing bite and really helped cut through the richness of the meat. The onions also added a nice sweetness to the burger, which was appreciated. I also snuck a bite of the ribbed potatoes, and they were good as well. They were a bit crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with just a touch of saltiness. I also stole a pickle from the double smash and realized I probably should have asked for pickles on my burger, but I'll remember that for my next visit!

Almost like both were just left out for 30 minutes before they were put on the table. Service was fantastic, always someone coming to check on us every 15 or so minutes! Love this place for its outdoor seating, it makes for a very relaxing eating environment.

I must've been living under a rock -- this was my first time at The Stand, and I was seriously…read moresurprised at how good it was. I ordered the curry chicken sandwich and wow... it was packed with layers of flavor! A perfectly spicy kick, a big juicy chicken breast, crispy fried onions, basil for and added layer, and the most delicious curry sauce. So good. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. The guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I was a little hesitant about the spice level, but he reassured me I'd like it -- and he was absolutely right. Plenty of seating both inside and outside, with a relaxed, casual dining vibe. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Not wanting to choose one of the two eateries I chose each of the past two years, I went with The Stand to see if I can give them the 4th star that I've been trying to give them for the past year or two. The final verdict? No, unfortunately. This year, I was in a rather unique situation where I also had the option to double my party size, and The Stand had catering packages that would feed both party sizes: The Feast for 10 to 20 people, and The Big Feast for 20 to 40 people. But don't think The Big Feast is twice the size of The Feast; rather, the only difference is an additional platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps. Otherwise, both will have a platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps, a large gourmet salad, a large side, and a cookie/brownie platter. After much deliberation, I went with The Feast with Meyer Lemon Broccolini and a Sidekick of Chinese Chicken Chop Salad with Chips & Guac. I chose all this to avoid the need for flameless heating kits since I wasn't sure how they'd work. I was drafting an email to the catering team to add some supplementary instructions I overlooked initially, but after the FIRST15 to 20 minutes following submission of my order, Sydney from the Catering team gave me a call to ask for clarification on some details based on my email communication. Really appreciate how punctual she was at this, and she was happy enough to send out an updated invoice. However, I learned from Sydney that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini would need a flameless heating kit even though the catering website did not mention that. In fact, during my email communication prior to placing my order, I pointed out that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini and Red Ginger Green Beans weren't listed as vegetarian despite being vegetables, and they confirmed they were indeed vegetarian, but not vegan. I noticed these oversights were immediately addressed after I brought them to their attention. However, their website still indicates their cookies are vegan when they are not; I'm not going to bother with another email at this point lol. I had given them two weeks' notice for my order, knowing that the catering team can change it on their end. I didn't want just one flameless heating kit, so I decided to switch out the Chips & Guac for the Mac & Cheese, which is about $13 more. I arrived about 10 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and I saw my catering order out in the open on a table where any customer could just grab it and go. Luckily, there were only a few customers inside, and when I stopped by my order, Kim came out to greet me. We recognized each other even 8 to 9 months after those technical difficulties spelled out in my last review update. I asked her to review my order with me before leaving, but when she said "Chips & Guac", the abstract record in my mind came to a screeching halt. I asked to see the invoice, and it was the older version from before I made the switch. I later found out they had printed my invoice too early even though their catering team said I could decide as late as the day before. Luckily, Kim checked the kitchen and needed only about 5 more minutes for the side of mac & cheese to be ready. She also let me keep the chips & guac even though she initially said she could swap it out, so that was nice at least. I also appreciate how they waited until my arrival to make a custom grilled cheese sandwich for my vegetarian guest, who enjoyed said sandwich. I also asked to put that guest's name on the box so I could tell easily. However, my abstract record cacophonously halted again when Kim asked me to pull up to the front door so they could load my order into my car. I had parked close by and previously requested for at least one employee to help me carry my order to my car. Also, I didn't want to block the right lane of the frontage road through the town center, so Kim and a team member helped carry the order to my car. My guests enjoyed the food for the most part, and I used this opportunity to invite them to visit The Stand with their family/friends on their own time (and dime lol). My order included an abundance of sauces and dressings, and I also appreciate how there were label stickers on each half sandwich/wrap in the platter. However, I would highly recommend a different means of labeling these sandwiches/wraps. As an example, I tried to grab a Chimichurri Steak Wrap only to find out it was actually a Falafel Wrap, which was the only vegetarian option in the platter. Good thing I got my vegetarian guest that grilled cheese sandwich! Lastly, if you've managed to make it to the end of this review, I'll let you know there's a discount code for customers placing a catering order for the first time. You actually read it in this review somewhere. Missed it? Sorry, I'm not giving it out like that. You'll have to re-read the review :)
