First time at Stonefire grill was pretty good. I like the chill vibes and the prices were really good. They have lunch specials. Salsa , Guacamole & Chips was TOP TIER. The pasta was good wish there was more sauce but there was a good amount of cheese. I like that most meals come with breadsticks cause the breadsticks are pretty good. For my meal I got the tri tip. I didn't not like it at all ; it was too chewy and unseasoned. I would come back and order something different because you can't beat the prices and they have seltzers and beer and wine.

Pear Gorgonzola (Seasonal)

The staff at the family meal and take out area was ABSOLUTELY Amazing! I ordered the seasonal Pear Gorgonzola Salad it wasn't what I thought it would be like... a little to tart (the dressing was). Tropical Iced Tea was good and I came with a group that sat out on the patio... they had on the AC with fans so I pretty much froze out there. Parking lot was small but this place is located next to the mall so you can always park next door and walk over. I had never been here before so I wasn't aware of how the order first then sit anywhere afterword - worked. I guess in this way it's like Sizzler HA! Respectfully Reviewed.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Stonefire Grill, so as part of the celebration, all Stonefire Grill locations partake in a special promo on the 25th of every month of 2025. The promo varies, and only rewards members would be in the know via email. I did make a visit back in 2023 with my team at work, and we all ordered lunch specials, which ran from 11 AM to 3 PM (now 4 PM) on weekdays. I ordered the Half Chicken Club Sandwich with a side of Caesar Salad as well as a drink, a $1.49 (now $2.69) upcharge. I enjoyed the sandwich and the salad, but I got overcharged for the drink because the cashier at the time rang it up for regular price as opposed to the lunch special price. I submitted an inquiry to see if this could be resolved, which they did in the form of a comp card that was actually a little more than the overcharge. Nice! What wasn't so nice, however, was being told by Anthony during the March 25th anniversary promo that there was a zero balance on my card. I just wanted one breadstick, which was only 25 cents that day, but the card rang up with a zero balance. I saw online there was still a nonzero balance, so Anthony had to have messed up somewhere. I stopped by on the April 25th anniversary promo, which would include samplings of their new menu items like hummus, Strawberry Walnut Salad, and pizza. I ordered the Half BBQ Tri Tip Sandwich with Nutty Coleslaw. I remember not liking the Nutty Coleslaw years ago, but wanted to give it another try to see if my opinion would change. It took only 7 minutes before a server came by with my lunch special. I thought the tri tip tasted better here with the ooey gooey melty cheese supplementing the meat that was covered with a good amount of BBQ flavor. The nutty coleslaw, on the other hand, wasn't too bad, but was quite vinegar-y for my taste buds that now I remembered why I didn't like it the first time. It wasn't a bad side to try, especially since there are peanuts inside, but I think the deviation from the norm was a bit too much for me despite my affinity towards peanuts. About a minute after being handed my order, I saw another server passing out bowls of the Strawberry Walnut Salad. It was good, and I started savoring the nutty coleslaw to wait for more samples to come out. Unfortunately, they never did. I was told at the front that the samples would be happening all day that day, so I came back after work that day to see for myself. There was a line to order, and I was planning to visit three other spots that evening. I looked inside, and there was nothing that indicated they were still giving out samples, so I just left. July's 25th anniversary celebration was a Pulled Pork Sandwich for $7.25, just less than half of the regular price, for rewards members. July 25 fell on a Friday, so the offer was extended into the weekend, and rewards members could redeem the offer once per day during that weekend. The Pulled Pork Sandwich comes with a side. I chose Stonefire's Beans on Friday. Kassandra worked the register on Friday, and she was pretty sweet with a side of patience. Stonefire Grill is lucky to have her on their team! I liked the pulled pork, but I wouldn't say I liked it that much, at least without BBQ sauce, whose dispenser is at the rear of the restaurant. The sandwich would also have been pretty messy to eat, so rather than using my hands, I just used a fork lol. Stonefire's Beans were quite good that I'd definitely recommend, even if you don't like beans in general. I went again on Sunday and did see Kassandra working, but it was Kristi who took my order. Kristi seemed more stern than Kassandra, but still had good customer service overall. I asked Kristi to describe the Garden Salad, but since it seemed like any ordinary salad I could get elsewhere, I went with the Garlic Mashed Potatoes this time. Just like on Friday, I didn't have to wait long for the Pulled Pork Sandwich. However, I was given a spoon for Stonefire's Beans on Friday, but no utensils for the Garlic Mashed Potatoes even though I think the Garlic Mashed Potatoes could have used a spoon too. I had to go get a fork from one of the side counters. The pulled pork didn't seem as tender compared to Friday, but was still tasty with the addition of BBQ sauce. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes should probably drop the "Garlic" in its name as I needed to add plenty of BBQ sauce to further enhance the taste profile. It was also a little hard to eat with a fork, so I'd recommend for Stonefire to add a spoon to orders with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Depending on what the promotions are for the remaining months ahead, I'll update this review accordingly. It's also possible I may not be back. My 3 stars stand pat for now.

Well it's been a long time coming, everytime we eat on that side of town we pass this spot and say, we got to try it. Today was the day, Saturday eve. We were going to meet up some friends and then they couldn't make it, glad they didn't. As soon as we're walking up we hesitated going in bcs it looked like there was a long wait. Then we realized that we have to order at the entrance before sitting. I was bummed there was no fries to go with the cheeseburger. Was craving a Philly cheese steak so the closest to that was the BBQ tri tip sandwich. Mash potatoes since there was no fries. Right off the bat food temperature was not acceptable. Spinach dip went room temp quickly, it was ok. When I picked up my tri tip sandwich, it wasn't hot, like the bread wasn't warmed up meat was luke warm ...I liked the pickles on the side and the mini caesar salad. My friend on the other hand, didn't enjoy his burger at all, temperature was the same as mine, he even said I think I just ate a frozen piece lol! I freaked out and said stop eating it... He kept eating it and mash potatoes were dry and luke warm. My friend did note, perhaps we ordered the wrong food, he said I see a lot of pizza and salad. I know food is pricey nowadays and honestly for $60 and change I expected waaaay better. I cannot say we will back.

I haven't been here in many years. This is a good place to go for barbecue. There is plenty of free parking and no wait for a table. We walked up to the counter and ordered. The meal was delivered shortly after we sat down. You get unlimited drinks from the dispenser. Staff are friendly. County music was playing in the background. There was fat on the meat in my sandwich. I don't ever eat the fat. My experience would have been much better if everything on my sandwich was edible. My hands got sticky from the barbecue sauce. They don't carry wet wipes. I used Diet Coke and a napkin. It works.

This place offers a bang!!! For the buck! The meals with trip tip and chicken are amazing! The whole menu is great! I 100 % recommend this place. Try and you will see.

I come by to pick up my fave dinner all the time! It's a casual spot where you order at the front, you get a buzzer and they bring the food to your table. While waiting, pick up your plates, utensils, napkins, drinks and bbq sauce. By the time you find your way to the table, it's a short wait for the food. I have tried most items on the menu and everything is great. All my faves below: Stonefire BBQ Chopped - My fave salad with Tri Tip or Avocado as the protein, depending on what other items we get. It come with greens, roasted corn, cheese, tomatoes, shredded carrots, red cabbage tossed with ranch with drizzle of BBQ sauce and topped with tortilla strips. Breadsticks - always fresh baked and delicious! Tri Tip - juicy & perfect, we like the butter sauce instead of the BBQ sauce Chicken Breast - juicy with crispy skin and love the lemon garlic sauce The Favorite Pizza - pesto, avocado, red onion, feta, mozzarella and fresh basil - LOVE THIS! Garlic Mashed Potatoes - so creamy & yum Original Cheesecake - thick and decadent! Must Get! This location has a great patio area that I've used for bigger parties. You don't have to reserve, just get there early to take over. Service is always amazing. Located in the Lakewood mall parking, but at the corner at Lakewood and Del Amo. Lots of parking! Definitely recommended!!

Food was delicious. Tried the fried shrimp for the first time with mashed potatoes and veggies (that was a winner side dish). Shrimp had little spice in the batter which made dish better. I came in to celebrate my brother's birthday and was immediately met with poor service. Our server never greeted us, never introduced himself, and showed little to no engagement with our table from the start. The only reason I even know his name is Isaac is because I overheard him properly introduce himself to the table next to us. What made this worse was the clear inconsistency in how service was given. I'm Latino, and the Caucasian family seated right next to us received a warm greeting, a full introduction, and noticeably better attention from the same server. Meanwhile, we were essentially ignored. That difference in treatment was obvious and unacceptable. Throughout the meal, we had to repeatedly track people down for basic items like bread and ketchup. Instead of our server doing his job, we relied on bussers and food runners just to get simple requests handled. At the end of the meal, I asked for more bread--something minimal--and it was treated like an inconvenience rather than a standard request. We spent around $200 for what was easily one of the worst service experiences I've had at this restaurant. I've been coming here for over 10 years to celebrate special occasions, but after this, I won't be returning. This wasn't just inattentive service--it was inconsistent service, and that's what makes it unacceptable.

Exceptional Service Recognition - Jonathan Delgado & GEN Cerritos Team…read more I am writing to formally recognize the truly exceptional service my family and I received during my daughter Dacia's 10th birthday dinner at GEN Korean BBQ in Cerritos. To be fully transparent, I arrived at the restaurant extremely concerned. I had been experiencing difficulty securing a reservation and was worried I would not be able to accommodate my large party of approximately 20 guests. Given the last-minute nature of my visit, I fully expected to be turned away. Instead, what I experienced was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked in, the staff demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and a genuine willingness to help. They immediately recognized that I was doing everything possible to make my daughter's birthday special and went above and beyond to ensure our family was taken care of. Manager Jonathan Delgado elevated the experience to an entirely different level. As a 17-year combat veteran, I am very mindful of environments that can sometimes feel overwhelming due to my PTSD. Without hesitation -- and with remarkable awareness and respect -- Jonathan made sure I was seated in an area where I felt comfortable and at ease. He approached the situation with professionalism, discretion, and genuine care that meant more to me and my family than I can fully express. Jonathan did not simply accommodate us -- he led with empathy, situational awareness, and true customer-first leadership. Throughout the evening, he remained engaged, attentive, and proactive. He made my entire family feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. His interaction with my children -- especially on my daughter's birthday -- showed a level of heart and authenticity that is rare in today's customer service environment. I have been dining at GEN for over 13 years across multiple locations, and I can say without hesitation that I have NEVER experienced the level of attention, care, professionalism, and genuine hospitality that Jonathan and his team delivered that evening. His team clearly reflects his leadership. The staff worked seamlessly, maintained outstanding energy, and ensured our large party was supported every step of the way. The experience was smooth, warm, and memorable from start to finish. Jonathan Delgado is a top-tier manager who represents the GEN brand at the highest possible standard. Employees like him do not just manage restaurants -- they build loyalty, trust, and lifelong customers. Because of this experience, my confidence in the GEN brand -- particularly the Cerritos location -- has been fully reinforced. My daughter had an unforgettable 10th birthday, and that is directly because of Jonathan and his incredible team. Please ensure Jonathan Delgado and the Cerritos staff receive the recognition they have absolutely earned. With sincere appreciation, Henry Alvarado17-Year Combat VeteranCEO & Founder, At Ease HQ

I was…read moredeciding between Gen, Ziggle, and Mr. Lee's, and figured I'd pay a little more for better food and service. Plot twist: I chose wrong. We came on a Monday around 5 PM with a party of 8, and the place was already packed. After about a 30-minute wait, the hostess walked us toward our table, then suddenly turned around and walked back to the cashier without saying anything. Naturally, we thought the table next to us was ours and started sitting down. She came back and said, "Hey, that's not your table," then walked us to a booth that was technically for 8 people... if everyone skipped breathing. One grill for 8 people also felt like a team-building exercise. Our server zipped back and forth for about 10 minutes avoiding eye contact. Then he finally came over and said, "What do you guys want to order?" No intro, no menu explanation, no "Have you been here before?" Just straight into business like we eat there every Monday. For 8 people, we got four tiny sides of kimchi and had to ask for more. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because maybe they were short-staffed, but even the basics felt missing. Then a busboy dropped off 8 bowls of white rice we didn't order and disappeared like he was in a rice delivery speedrun. The meat came out fast, but quality was disappointing. The brisket was thick and chewy, the short ribs were paper-thin and mostly fat, and the purple steak was about 50% fat. At that point, I was just grilling regret. I do give them credit for bringing out the meats quickly. Overall, Gen feels like it has gone downhill in both food quality and service. It seems like they're still busy enough that they don't really have to care. I left wishing we had gone to Ziggle or Mr. Lee's instead.
