good quality food, good charbroiled taste, fries are good and zucchinis are good not too breaded and not over seasoned. Only thing is none of the meals are "combos" they have to be purchased individually. Parking is also a problem at times but that doesn't change my 4 star review on the food. Outside seating, good customer service., fast.

I came and ordered chili cheese fries with EXTRA cheese and fries WELL DONE.

I came and ordered chili cheese fries with EXTRA cheese and fries WELL DONE. Apparently to volcano, this looks right to what I order. Do better! Its not hard to add extra of something when asked for it. And whats the point of forcing us to pay extra when you don't even do it

The parking lot is small and gets back up by the drive thru big time. The food is good, great customer service. The patio tables can be cleaner and the trash needed to be taken out as it was overflowing. So the area where the customers eat is a bit neglected.

Volcano Burger- a nice juicy burger with their sauce makes it delicious. A little different than your standard burger but in a good way. Fries- crispy thick fries are my go to fries. Nice, hot and fresh A nice spot for burgers. Was passing by the area and craving a burger. This place did the job for that and was a bit different than your usual burger. They have their own small parking lot

My wife and I were craving Chili Cheese Fries. I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and my go-to place for this was "The Hat". Volcano Burgers has now become my local spot for a chili-cheese fry situation. It has what I'm looking for: thick cut fries, solid chili, and a ton of cheese. I also got a pastrami sandwich and we also really enjoyed it! I'm a local and I loved this as a no-frills, drive through, local, mom-and-pop burger spot across the street from Los Alamitos High School. It doesn't bring anything over the top to the table, but you'll get exactly what you are looking for.

Ask the Community - Volcano Burgers

    Does volcano burger delivers?

I am guessing no. But you can always call

    Do they have any sliders?

Pro Tip: On Yelp the majority of restaurants have multiple photos of their menus on display in the gallery section of their website.

Is this the same food chain as the Volcano Burgers that was on Artesia and Atlantic in Long Beach Back in the day?

    No, they are family owned.

Do you have any sweets or desserts?

Really yummy milk shakes! Not sure if anything else. It's been a while

Do you know if Volcano burger is nut free? I mean obviously there are no nuts in the burger, but wondering if anyone with a nut allergy has safely eaten there? For instance, are their buns made in a facility with nuts, do they use nut oils to fry?

i'm allergic to tree nuts and i've never had a problem with any of their food :)

Does Volcano Burger offer the impossible burger patty?

No, but they have a garden burger

What's the difference between the volcano burger and the cheeseburger?

    Cheese

Just a random question: does anyone know the history of place? How long it's been there, etc.?

Not sure the exact date but my dad was going there when we was a kid and he was born in 1960. Been going there since I was born.

Do they charge a fee for debit card?

    Yes a $0.65 fee

Are their fries gluten free? I'm not concerned with cross contamination. Just curious if the potatoes are coated in flour or anything. Thanks!

Why would fries be dipped in flour, unless it's double battered but they don't serve double batter fries

Does their chili have beans in it?

No beans!!!! Love their chili cheese fries.

Same owners as the one that use to be on Atlantic and artesia?

Yes this location is the original first one same owners since the beginning

Tasted their good onion rings, do they make it from scratch?

Yes they make them and the zucchini fries in house.

I ordered the curry chicken sandwich and wow... it was packed with layers of flavor! A perfectly spicy kick, a big juicy chicken breast, crispy fried onions, basil for and added layer, and the most delicious curry sauce. So good. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. The guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I was a little hesitant about the spice level, but he reassured me I'd like it -- and he was absolutely right. Plenty of seating both inside and outside, with a relaxed, casual dining vibe. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Not wanting to choose one of the two eateries I chose each of the past two years, I went with The Stand to see if I can give them the 4th star that I've been trying to give them for the past year or two. The final verdict? No, unfortunately. This year, I was in a rather unique situation where I also had the option to double my party size, and The Stand had catering packages that would feed both party sizes: The Feast for 10 to 20 people, and The Big Feast for 20 to 40 people. But don't think The Big Feast is twice the size of The Feast; rather, the only difference is an additional platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps. Otherwise, both will have a platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps, a large gourmet salad, a large side, and a cookie/brownie platter. After much deliberation, I went with The Feast with Meyer Lemon Broccolini and a Sidekick of Chinese Chicken Chop Salad with Chips & Guac. I chose all this to avoid the need for flameless heating kits since I wasn't sure how they'd work. I was drafting an email to the catering team to add some supplementary instructions I overlooked initially, but after the FIRST15 to 20 minutes following submission of my order, Sydney from the Catering team gave me a call to ask for clarification on some details based on my email communication. Really appreciate how punctual she was at this, and she was happy enough to send out an updated invoice. However, I learned from Sydney that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini would need a flameless heating kit even though the catering website did not mention that. In fact, during my email communication prior to placing my order, I pointed out that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini and Red Ginger Green Beans weren't listed as vegetarian despite being vegetables, and they confirmed they were indeed vegetarian, but not vegan. I noticed these oversights were immediately addressed after I brought them to their attention. However, their website still indicates their cookies are vegan when they are not; I'm not going to bother with another email at this point lol. I had given them two weeks' notice for my order, knowing that the catering team can change it on their end. I didn't want just one flameless heating kit, so I decided to switch out the Chips & Guac for the Mac & Cheese, which is about $13 more. I arrived about 10 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and I saw my catering order out in the open on a table where any customer could just grab it and go. Luckily, there were only a few customers inside, and when I stopped by my order, Kim came out to greet me. We recognized each other even 8 to 9 months after those technical difficulties spelled out in my last review update. I asked her to review my order with me before leaving, but when she said "Chips & Guac", the abstract record in my mind came to a screeching halt. I asked to see the invoice, and it was the older version from before I made the switch. I later found out they had printed my invoice too early even though their catering team said I could decide as late as the day before. Luckily, Kim checked the kitchen and needed only about 5 more minutes for the side of mac & cheese to be ready. She also let me keep the chips & guac even though she initially said she could swap it out, so that was nice at least. I also appreciate how they waited until my arrival to make a custom grilled cheese sandwich for my vegetarian guest, who enjoyed said sandwich. I also asked to put that guest's name on the box so I could tell easily. However, my abstract record cacophonously halted again when Kim asked me to pull up to the front door so they could load my order into my car. I had parked close by and previously requested for at least one employee to help me carry my order to my car. Also, I didn't want to block the right lane of the frontage road through the town center, so Kim and a team member helped carry the order to my car. My guests enjoyed the food for the most part, and I used this opportunity to invite them to visit The Stand with their family/friends on their own time (and dime lol). My order included an abundance of sauces and dressings, and I also appreciate how there were label stickers on each half sandwich/wrap in the platter. However, I would highly recommend a different means of labeling these sandwiches/wraps. As an example, I tried to grab a Chimichurri Steak Wrap only to find out it was actually a Falafel Wrap, which was the only vegetarian option in the platter. Good thing I got my vegetarian guest that grilled cheese sandwich! Lastly, if you've managed to make it to the end of this review, I'll let you know there's a discount code for customers placing a catering order for the first time. You actually read it in this review somewhere. Missed it? Sorry, I'm not giving it out like that. You'll have to re-read the review :)

What I received was essentially a regular steamed-style burger with smash-style sauce on it. There was no char, no crust, and none of the texture you would expect from a smash burger. I was very disappointed. The patty was soft and heavy in a way that didn't feel special or well-executed. We also ordered the chili fries with pastrami, which honestly helped save the meal. The flavor on those was decent, though I personally wish they used regular-cut fries instead of crinkle cut, which made it feel more processed than it needed to be. On the positive side, parking was easy in the plaza with wide spaces, and the wait time was reasonable--about 15 minutes for three burgers and fries. The establishment appears to be Filipino-owned. The menu simply says "burger," but Yelp labels it as a smash burger spot, which is confusing because the presentation includes brioche buns and a smash-style mustard sauce, but not the actual cooking technique of a smash burger. It's unclear what they are trying to be. Overall, it just didn't meet expectations. I'll stick with For The Win instead.
