This one missed the mark for me, unfortunately. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened and never got around to going. Me and my husband went on taco Tuesday this week because I called and they said that they have $1 chicken and Birria tacos on Tuesdays. Awesome deal! We both ended up getting the 3 taco plate with rice and beans which were $10.39 each, also a great deal. We both chose crispy tacos; that crunch was fantastic and so satisfying! But that was the only good thing. We both thought everything was quite bland, especially the chicken. We had to add salt to give it some flavor. The birria tasted like it wasn't really marinated in the sauce or very flavorful like the birria we've had in the past.
August 2026 I've been to this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. Food - absolutely delicious.. from the tacos to the salsa to the famous crunch wrap supreme. Service - good Ambiance - good
This is Mexican restaurant that , serves or specializes in birria. Currently they have tacos, quesadillas, ramen etc.... I've been wanting to come try but the hubby is not a fan of birria.... lol but yesterday was the day... finally convinced him and here we are. The place looks nice, service was normal. I went for the ramen and the hubby had tacos dorados. My plate seemed salty Hubby said the rice n beans were good. And the tacos her meh. Will we return???? Maybe not...with that comment lol... anyway glad we finally made it in. Oh and another negative is that parking sucks around here. Ok byeee
Came in for dinner with family. Staff was kind and warm. Food was fresh and delicious! The meat was very tender and flavorful. Restaurant waa clean and parking was easy.
The restaurant was nice and clean and surprisingly empty for a Saturday around 4ishpm. They have a outdoor patio area and they were playing the World Cup game, which added to the atmosphere. Service was fine. We ordered soft tacos, crunchy tacos, birria nachos, a chicken birria burrito, and french fries. The birria nachos were pretty good, it's came with beans and avocado but not enough cheese. That said, I was a little disappointed with the birria. The meat was tender and had a great texture but it lacked flavor. I added salt and salsa but it just wasn't delicious.. the salsa was missing something.. couldn't quite figure it out. Compared to the Downey location, the Downey location had much better flavor. To sum it up, the experience was pleasant, but the food didn't quite live up to my expectations.
The food is supreme and the broth behind the bar is amazing and the salsa are just what you want smoky and tasty and the servings are an excellent size and everyone served quickly and the music is great it's got upbeat Latino rhythms!! This place is a diamond! Very good service too if you're trying to be in and out!
First time trying Señor Birria in Los Alamitos. My visit was during the World Cup and the had FIFA football related decors. had the soft Taco, Taco Dorado, and an order of Birria Egg Rolls which comes with Consomé. Their tortillas are homemade and fried. Birria was juicy, tender, and flavorful. The Tacos had Onions and Cilantro. The Egg Rolls were flavor bomb, crunchy yet flaky. They absorbed the juiciness and held together well while having onions, cilantro, and cheese pull action. The Consomé had a fresh, rich beef flavor without being salty. It's a savory soak of goodness. They also sell it as its own item. I'd definitely come back, especially for their Egg Rolls. This spot is definitely legit. Service was good and warm.
On Taco Tuesday, this restaurant serves Birria tacos for only $1. I knew that when I went but I was craving a crunch wrap so what better way to satisfy my Taco Bell cravings then with this. I liked how it wasn't overly greasy, didn't fall apart on me (surprisingly sturdy), and was solid in taste. I don't have much to compare it to other than TB after a night out but I enjoyed it!!
I love the big windows so much! There is even some outside patio seating opposite the cashier if you want to eat with some fresh air but the tall ceilings definitely make the whole layout fill open and spacious. One of my favorite parts was that their salsas and onions had a surprise kick to them! I loved their vampiros and horchata - I gotta come back to try some other food items. Their best asset? Their attentive and caring staff. They are on it!

And my husband ordered a plate. We were estimated 20 min. No big deal. First thing I noticed was how nice the cashier was. Not sure if she was the manager, but a guest wanted to buy more drinks for his order and was at the back of the line. She had asked him if he needed something and he told her he needed to get more drinks. She was so kind and let him just get the drinks without having to stand in line and pay again. Our order was taking a while. I guess she explained that a big order came through so it put ours behind. But we were not complaining. She was kind enough to apologize for the long wait and offered us drinks. Food was a lot and amazing. Would definitely come again
Really great experience here! We were craving tacos and have a hard time finding a really solid place. This one is not only local, but the key factors that stood out to me were the service, the cleanliness, and the ambience. Staff helped explain what was in the crunch box, and immediately we had to try it. It definitely did not disappoint. Quality is amazing - crunchy not soggy, easy on the beans, all the texture and flavor hits just right. We also had the horchata here which was the perfect sweetness and milky-ness. There's that kick of cinnamon and everything is well-balanced, unlike most other places that water it down. The owner also came out to greet us which was a nice cherry on top of our experience. We definitely will be making this spot our go-to spot whenever we are craving tacos! Thank you for the great food!
$1 taco on taco Tuesday. Chicken or beef soft taco. Such a great deal. I came here twice already. You can place a phone order and only took less than 15 mins. They do have a self service salsa bar. They have a spacious indoor dinning and a small outdoor patio. Friendly service and plenty of parking.
Was heading to CSLB with my son and discovered this little gem of a place. Got the enchiladas, it was the special and my son got this crunch wrap type thing. Food was yum, place was super clean, and the service was great. FYI it's heavy food and it's stuffed, we could have shared something, but where's the fun in that

First time eating from here Unsure if related to the location in Downey Ordered online for delivery Everything was well package, nothing spilled, plenty of utensils napkins likes onions and cilantro all neatly packed up Quick and efficient and nothing was missing Tried out the Birria ramen and Birria crunch wrap Pricing and quantity is reasonable. Easily shareable for the amount of 2 items received The Birria ramen was tender and the noodles were not soggy, not overly salty and the broth was not as greasy as it appeared in the container. Definetly added the lines onion and cilantro to make the flavor pop out more The Birria crunch was stuffed with beans Birria avocado lettuce and possibly cheese? There was a cheese exterior as well but once it cools down that cheese exterior gets a little tough to eat. Tried it on its own, a bit plain but once you add the hot sauce / salsa it makes the flavors stand out otherwise birria lacks Would definetly want to eat in person but for delivery it was hot fresh and still tasty overall. First time eating food here; got the birria tacos (which by the way is that price for one; pricey I think), cali burrito (decent size), egg roll (comes with 3). Flavor is great, not too salty. Their sauces are good and interestingly tasty. There's indoor seating but I've only gotten take out. No issues so far! Love the softness of their birria since some other places have more of a tough texture to their birria. I'd definitely be eating up their menu. Give this place a try, no regrets :) read more
New birria spot recently opened in Los Alamitos! When looking at the menu, I think I counted over 25 menu items containing birria...and they seem to be adding more! What caught my eye was the Birria Chilaquiles (I'm a huge chilaquiles fan!). The portion size is pretty big! A heaping mound of chips with good sauce coverage, lots of tasty, tender birria, and two eggs. I would get it again! You can also get the chilaquiles in burrito form. The other item that I thought was unique is their Birria Crunch Wrap. It has layers of birria meat, crunchy tostada shell, lettuce, avocado, beans, cheese, and I believe sour cream? I think it would have been even better with some tomatoes! The Crunch Wrap is not as flavorful as I was expecting, but they have a salsa bar with lots of different salsas that you can add to your liking! Also fyi, this one's a little messy to eat! Now back to the salsa bar--be warned that pretty much everything at the salsa bar packs some heat! They have a red and orange sauce, pico de gallo, and pickled onions, and everything was on the spicy side. Spicy lovers, you will love this! Other birria items that I'm definitely coming back for: Birria Egg Rolls, Birria Empanada, Birria Pizza, and Birria Ramen! read more

Watched a few videos of this place on social media featuring the chilaquiles and decided we need to go and try it. Place has a modern look to it, it's clean and bright inside not too much going on super simple maybe needs music or decor it was a little boring inside but I guess that does not matter since we are here for the chiliquiles not to hang out. I got there around 11am and there was a few people inside with the big chiliquiles pizza box at thier table so clearly it's the popular item to order. Menu was simple and they offer both can and soda in bottles. Rice and beans are separate to order. Food was good, the chips tortillas were nice n crispy there was tons of all the toppings and they're not spicy at all but had good flavor. I would go again BUT the big pizza box is more than enough for 4 ppl. I shared with one person and had a ton left over. Looks at the pics they speak for themselves. read more

Wow wow wow Wow! Amazing food, inctedible services and chill ambiance. Our family enjoyed: Kid- bean and cheese burrito, it was cheesy heaven! Wrapped in a warm delicious tortilla. There will be no leftovers, especially for a hungry baseball kid! Mom- chilaquiles & birria, as a chilaquiles snob I can say these are legit! No soggy bites, pack a perfect crunch, amazingly good birria and runny egg with the pickled onion topping XXL so could be shared. Dad- wet birria burrito, an explosion of flavors!! Tender meat bites, well potioned with rice n beans, life a burrito lasagna every bite had a punch! And the salasa.... literally couldnt stop eating it DESSERT- coco flan. O m Geeee. Just come and try this already! Plus we met Mr. BIRRIA! Cant wait to come back and try more. read more

Got the chilaquiles burrito. I thought it was expensive for what I got. Please don't ever cut the burrito again with the foil on it, I had to pick out foil pieces in my burrito. Our family was so giddy when we saw that a new location opened up in Los Alamitos from their original in Downey!! Everything is just as delicious as their Downey location with the added benefit that they have extra space and seating plus a patio. They also offer chicken and carne asada at this location in addition to their AMAZING birria! Their tortillas are freshly made and their sauces compliment the food so well! The staff was friendly and attentive the entire time we were there. It's a restaurant where you order at the front and then take a seat and even so, the staff made sure we were taken care of by checking in on us. Honestly so shocked it wasn't full like their Downey location! Such amazing food and great service! read more

First timer. Can't believe it took me this long to come try this place out. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Not too big or small. Order at the counter. Person working last night was great. Friendly. I ordered the Birria Bowl. 10/10 highly recommend. Bowl comes with Rice, Pinto Beans, Birria, lettuce, sour cream, and avocado. The birria is authentic and flavorful. What I loved about this dish is that every component had flavor. The rice and beans were great. The bowl comes with 3 corn tortillas. $12.99 and this dish can feed up to two people easily. The salsa they provide is outstanding. My favorite was the spicy red one. Yum. Highly recommend. Will be back. read more

Breaking News! SENOR BIRRIA has turned all the people at my work place with smiles and wanting more :) It was 2 of the worker birthdays and they wanted Birria. I told them both I got the right joint. I came here a couple weeks ago, so I already knew it was delicious. I know I cheated lol. I called in the order, keep in mind to give them 24 hours notice if you planning to do this. I went with the Large Birria that comes with the 60 tortillas and other condiments. Large Rice, Small Beans, 6 Large consome, quesadillas, egg rolls, extra taco on the side. Everyone love it at work, they kept coming for seconds and third too haha. All in all, a must try in the books. Ordering to go or just dining in with good music in the air, is my thing. Saw this on my yelp recommendation so decided to try it out. And the pictures convinced me I'm not gonna lie. The inside was quite big but I feel like it needed more seating but again that's just my opinion. The service was quick but wished they were more helpful when it came to the question I asked, so lacked ability to clarify in the menu. Now here is the real review Norris Crunchwrap 8/10 I loved the crunch part but I felt like it lacked something not sure what but wasn't so fond of it. Like would I eat again maybe but would I come again just to eat this again, not really. salsa bar 3/10 lacked salsas and flavor. So the salsa wasn't it for me Not sure if I'll come again personally but if I do I'll update again. Might give it another try cuz I truly only Tried one thing but we shall see. read more

Went to the soft opening. Everyone working there was so nice. Good amount of indoor and outdoor tables. Inside it's very bare, but I'm sure they'll be getting things on the walls soon. But most importantly - the food! We got the birria egg rolls which were super yummy. I wish they came with sauce besides the consome but I probably had to order it and didn't realize. The birria plate comes with so much meat! I just wish it came with more than three tortillas because the tortilla to meat ratio is off but the tortillas are good. We'll be coming back to try more stuff on the menu! Update: get the Crunchwrap and the fish tacos on Fridays - you won't be disappointed!!! Came to try this place out and didnt disappoint! My fiancé and I debated on getting separate plates but gambled on sharing the crunch wrap since we assumed it'd be big. And it was! Half was more than enough for us and it was good! The staff was super friendly and didn't mind describing the contents of the items. I wish their items had descriptions on the ingredients on their menus... The horchata was pretty sweet, but not as much cinnamon as I'm used to tasting. Definitely will be coming back again! read more
