Best taco Tuesday around. Great personnel and fresh and great food. Even though there is normally a huge line their service is fast. Hard to find somewhere to sit so bring your own chair or bring the tacos to the beach and eat. Will come back every Tuesday for sure. Love this place!!

This was my second visit here, and I ordered the fried quesadilla again. I called ahead and placed an order to go, and they confirmed it would only take about 15 minutes to prepare. The first time I came here, the place had recently gone viral and was so crowded. I guess the hype has died down because there were only a couple of people dining in when I arrived. I got one chicken and jalapeno and one spinach, tomato, and ricotta. I had the chicken and jalapeno during my first visit and thought it was really good. Today, though, it tasted a bit off, almost like the chicken wasn't seasoned enough. The quesadilla was also really greasy this time. I don't remember it being this greasy during my first visit. The spinach and tomato one was tasty, but I don't think they actually use ricotta. It tasted more like mozzarella to me. Maybe they were just having an off day today.

"deep fried quesadilla"

I've tried a few more items since my first visit. The fish taco isn't the best I've had, but it's still good. What throws me off is the fish cutlet--it's a perfectly shaped rectangle with flawless breading, which makes me suspect it was originally a frozen product. That said, the portion of fish compared to the overall size of the taco is generous. I'm not sure if it's a signature dish, but they serve a "deep-fried quesadilla", something I've haven't seen anywhere else. But after consideration, I think it might actually be a large empanada. They offer a choice of three fillings. I can't decide if I liked it for its uniqueness or because it was genuinely good. Either way, it's worth trying at least once.

Taco Tuesday deal $1.95 is the way to go All of the staff were all so friendly and kind. I've been here twice and right at 11am when they open there's a line already. Tacos were so big and tasty. All of the regular meat was juicy and cooked with flavor Shrimp and fish were freshly fried and it was crunchy when took a bit Space has limited table seatings so you may need to take the food togo, parking lot has good space

Five carne asada and one fish taco, take out

First time trying this spot, and it did not disappoint! The food is delicious and they do not skimp on the meat. I ordered 5 carne asada tacos and one fish taco--all were excellent. Service is incredibly fast, though keep in mind it's a smaller space best suited for a quick bite or takeout. Pro tip: They have a great habanero and extra spicy sauce available if you ask at the counter! Definitely worth the price, plus there's plenty of parking.

Decent tacos at a decent price. On Taco Tuesday, all tacos are $1.99. I had shrimp and fish tacos and while the tortillas were good, the fried shrimp and fish were dry. The salsa were just okay.

I've seen this pop up on my social media a few times now, saved it then my mom showed me a video a few days ago and reminded me about it. Me and my husband went for Taco Tuesday this week. Every taco is $1.99! All of the workers were very friendly!! They have a self serve salsa bar. The green one was tasty but as far as the food, sadly, we weren't impressed. The tacos and meat were bland to us. We also got 1 crispy quesadilla to share... it's not your normal quesadilla. It is made with masa and deep fried with cheese, jalapeño and chicken inside. It was quite greasy (yes, I know it was deep fried, but it was extra greasy, greasier than other fried foods I've had). The filling tasted decent though. It's a very small place with just a couple of tables. We ended up getting one but it does seem more like a take-out restaurant.

My go to place for taco Tuesday!! My favorite is the carne asada tacos! Street style which is my go too. It comes naked and you can add all the fixings at the salsa bar. Great flavors and tortillas are made fresh there. Service is great , everyone is very nice and helpful. It's a very small location, a few tables inside and a few outside. First come first serve basis. You order and they bring out tacos to your table. They are pretty fast with delivery of your food whether you're dining in or taking out.

This Taco Joint went Viral on Social Media! Seen it on Instagram. I had to try it and see it for myself. $1.95 Taco Tuesday! This has got to be fake. Lol Parking was ridiculous since the hype on Social Media came out. Two lines in front of the door. One line to order and one line to get Salsa. Lines were long. My wife and I Doubled team the situation. She stood in line to order and I stood in line for the salsa. My wife ordered some carne asada tacos and a el pastor buritto. After she ordered, she found a table! How lucky she was. We waited about 20 minutes for our food, but it worked out since I was still in line to get some Salsa. After I waited in line to get salsa, our food was delivered! Yay. The Carne Asada tacos were fat for $1.95! The burritos was big! The quality of food in this Taqueria is exceptionally excellent! The food was fresh and tasted delicious. There is no hype! This is the real deal! It was worth the wait for my first visit. I will definitely be back, not for Tacos Tuesday but a regular day. I cant stand the crowd that is taking advantage of this deal! I cant afford to wait in line lol! But a serious note, one of the best tacos I have eaten. I am local, I have to say the best tacos I have eaten in the LBC. My search is over. No need to drive to Downtown LA, its in my backyard now, in the city of Long Beach. Great food and awesome customer service. Workers were very friendly and outgoing. Kudos. My new Favorit Mexican Taqueria spot!! Check it out. You won't be dissapointed. Thanks to the Blogger for noticing good food!

Great visit to Kique's! Ordered our usual, Asada tacos and quesadillas. Always a hit with the family! I absolutely love their salsa bar. Everything is so fresh and tasty! I found out today that most of their ingredients (Avocados, chilies, onions, fruits, and other veggies) come from their farm in Temecula. This is for bith Enrique's and Kique's. Farm to table! Very impressive especially with their reasonable prices. Huge fan of both restaurants!

great food and great vibes. this spot is kind of hidden but so delicious, and the food came out relatively quick! it's a self-serve salsa bar with other condiments. i got the fried quesadilla and it was what you'd expect a gooey, fried quesadilla to be. the shrimp burrito was also pretty good, and they are generous w their portions

Kique's is cool. They offer everything you'd like except it's a little different. I ordered 2 fish tacos ($4.25). They're topped with lettuce, pico de gallo + guac. I absolutely loved the flour tortillas, however, the fish not so much. It looked and tasted as if a large panko crusted fillet was repurposed into fish taco sized pieces. The fish tacos also don't come dressed up with any sort of sauce. I did ask for crema and the cilantro crema functioned as a really good binder to an otherwise very healthy fish taco. We also ordered a shrimp burrito ($12.95). They burritos come with refried beans, lettuce, and creamy cilantro. The shrimp burrito, in particular, also gets dressed with pico de gallo + guac. The refried beans were already a little surprising, but the warm lettuce was even more jarring to my tastebuds. It wasn't bad, but not what I was expecting. It's actually my bad for not reading the fine print. I'll be much more informed the next time I stop by for their Taco Tuesday.

Reviews are largely positive. Many highlight the friendly service, flavorful tacos, fried quesadillas, and the salsa bar. Pricing, especially on Taco Tuesday, is considered a great value.

Immediately, I was put off by the texture of the tortilla (squishy, dough-like, and almost rubbery smell?). When I took a bite, the beans were extremely light in color to the point of being indistinguishable from the cheese, neither of which tasted good. I know it was a simple bean and cheese burrito, but I've had some BOMB B&C burritos, and this one was honestly pretty flavorless. So, unappetizing appearance, smell, and taste. I think I ended up having four bites total, then gave the rest to my husband to have as leftovers and found something else for dinner. Husband's torta was also lacking flavor and was dry, but he finished it. Parking even on a Wednesday evening was tough (street parking only, no lot) and the cash only transaction was inconvenient, so those didn't help our experience. It was a bummer because we don't live in the neighborhood, but made the drive over because this place was so highly recommended. I guess they can't all be hits. Might give them another chance one day, but I doubt it with so many other Mexican food places to try. Giving two stars because the storefront has charm with all the stickers and lights, and the wait was not too long.

They had 2 ordering options either by a kiosk or at the counter. Counter ordering was ideal for me as a first time guest. As for food, my go to is always a burrito. I thought it was really good, especially the homemade tortilla. It was the perfect amount for me, even providing 1/2 as leftovers. My only slight complaint as that I felt like they seemed a bit disorganized. We waited a very long time and they never called our number. When I approached the cashier to ask about it they immediately started pulling together our order, but a lot of it was missing so we had to come back and ask for the rest of it. Luckily we were able to look past this experience because we were starving and the food was bussin. I got the lengua vampiro, which was so crunchy and they PACKED it with the meat! I love all of the salsas as well, and they all had a nice kick. I also tried the beans and rice that my friends got from the combo, and both were packed with flavor and tasted great with the salsas as well! This is definitely going to be one of my go to spots if I'm craving tacos because it has a parking lot and actually isn't bad!

El Sauz is THE late-night munchies spot!…read more I've been coming here for years, and one of the things I love most is that they're open late. I've ordered food here as late as 2:30 AM! They have a sit-down restaurant, a karaoke room, and even a walk-up window outside if you're just looking to grab something quickly. They're known for their tacos and their spicy habanero salsa, which definitely is spicy, be warned. LOL If you're dining inside, the chips and salsa are top-tier. Sooooo good and addicting! My personal favorite is the shrimp quesadillas. They're tiny, but mighty when it comes to flavor! I also like ordering their oysters. So far, they've always been clean, fresh, and hit the spot. They also have Micheladas, both the traditional version made with alcohol and a non-alcoholic version made with mineral water. Both are really good, and I highly recommend giving them a try! And for dessert, the rice pudding is served cold, and it's honestly one of the best I've had. Everyone I've brought here has been happy with their food and their choices, which says a lot because I've brought many friends and family here. As far as parking goes, you can usually find street parking, there's a parking lot, and there's also parking behind the restaurant. I will say the neighborhood is a little sketchy, but if you're local, it's really not a big deal. If you're coming from outside the city and aren't familiar with the area, I'd recommend just dining inside. There's a lot of homeless and liquor store activities across the street. It's usually not a big deal, but again if you're not used to it, you may freak out. Overall, El Sauz is one of my go-to spots for the late-night munchies, post concert, club, bar etc.

We were so excited to try this place but left very disappointed. It was about $2.7 per taco considering 6 tacos were $16.5. So yeah, given the price, there are higher quality options locally. These unfortunately were crunchy, chewy, premade tortillas, cheese not grilled in properly, birria and chicken so dry and stringy and also tasted premade (you can tell when the meat doesn't retain the juice and is dry, and the flavor is stale), and pickled vegetables that somehow didn't taste pickled. The other problem was the portion of the consomé size, which was way too small. The best thing was the grilled onions and consomé because you literally can't possibly fk that up. Although the consomé was a bit too gravy-like, and thick which considering the quality of everything else...was off putting. Ambiance felt fast paced, cramped parking, and a little dirty from being dated but it also had a fun, casual nightlife vibe. The service was fast and kind. They answered questions quick and politely without rushing us out of line. We had really high hopes for this place. This was not a first time either, we tried these guys years ago but even then it was mid. Now it just confirmed it. We do not recommend coming here unless you are craving tacos you can't make at home with premade ingredients, or find at another restaurant.
