Had the burrito here yesterday. AMAZING. It had the right amount of everything on it, meat, cheese, rice, beans and they let you load it with whatever you want before closing it. You can add salsa, cilantro and onions, pickled onions, peppers, etc. and the best part is, it was only 10$ ! It made me so happy to eat here and be able to try the burrito. It's honestly one of the best burritos I have ever had from a taco stand on the street and it was awesome. read more

THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH! My boyfriend and I initially came to try the tacos, but unfortunately, we didn't have any cash on us. We came back today, and WE WERE ASTONISHED BY HOW DELICIOUS THE TACOS WERE! Honestly, Tacos Uziel had some of the best buche, suadero, and cabeza we've ever had. The meat practically melted in your mouth and had this rich, buttery texture that made me want to keep eating more and more! The people working there were so patient and kind, and we really appreciated how efficient the service was. We didn't stay to eat, but there is limited seating available. So, I haven't ever actually been to their primary location, currently their only one - but until about a month ago, they also operated a second popup location with all the same food, setup, prices, etc, a couple blocks away from us, and we were there ALL the time. Sadly, they seemed to have paused that location indefinitely, and I miss the absolute heck out of it. I really hope they come back. But I figure given it's the same people making the same food, I can review their current location, anyway - and given they're across town instead of down the street, I don't have to be conflicted whether I want word to be out about how fantastic their burritos are, vs worrying that it could cause there to be a line to get one. It is funny that they call themselves "Tacos Uziel", though, given their tacos are... fine. They're not bad tacos. I'd even go so far as to say that they're good tacos. Not huge, though, for the price, and while their meat is quite good, as are their salsas, after trying them once, I never got tacos again, because their burritos are literally my current gold standard for what the absolute best possible burrito looks like. I also tried their torta once, a while ago. Their tortas are also good, but they also aren't their burritos. Their burritos might well be the best burritos in California. Certainly the best *value* burritos in California, given in addition to being wonderful, they're also *massive*. You have to be pretty hungry to eat a whole one in one sitting, which I usually do and then regret it slightly. Anyway, reasons why this is the best burrito ever, other than being massive: 1. Their rice and beans are great. 2 2. They have suadero! Stewed in a big pot, just like the first and best suadero I ever had, from a famous taco stall in Mexico City. (La Brasita *has* suadero, but while they may make the best al pastor in the city, their suadero is bland and dry. The suadero here is almost too decadently rich to eat on its own in a burrito. 3. At no additional cost, you can get a burrito that's half and half of two meats. Their asada is also my gold standard for what great asada should be, and mixing their suadero and asada together is a... life-changingly good combo. (And each of the two halves are still more meat than I've gotten from some, much more mediocre burrito merchants in the past.) Their carnitas is also quite good, though I pretty much always got asada + suadero, once I discovered how wonderfully they went together. 4. At no additional cost, they'll griddle cheese *onto* the inside of the tortilla. Until I had the burritos here, my favorite burrito *had* been the breakfast burrito Lowkey used to make (RIP Lowkey :(), which griddled cheese onto the *outside* of a giant tortilla. Griddled cheese in a burrito is great, it turns out it's way less messy if it's the inside, though. These burritos are also way less money than Lowkey used to charge for his, and he charged extra for the cheese, too, lol. Super good. 5. After putting in the rice, beans, meat and cheese, they hand you the open burrito so you can add your own toppings to it directly, before they wrap it. Toppings include several salsas, ranging from hot to very hot, all very tasty, which it is nice being able to ladle directly into the burrito directly. They *also* include cooked/sliced onions as well as the traditional raw onion/cilantro mix, and on top of that, grilled nopal! You can add as much grilled onion and nopal as you want as well, also at no extra cost. (Though I did learn my lesson, if you add too much, your burrito *will* become top-heavy and fall apart.) 6. Assuming you don't do that, for how much they stuff these burritos with, they are *pros* at structural engineering. These burritos look like they'll fall apart, but they *don't* fall apart. 7. They're $10. ($8 on Wednesday.) That is a *steal*. Uziel, please don't change! (Except, come back to downtown. Please do change in that respect!) read more

Tacos Uziel always has a line but it move quick and it's worth the wait. The guys give great service, make your food to order, and are alway cool. Their tacos are so good, especially the Al pastor. I also love their carne asada torta. It's nothing fancy, just good asada, lettuce, tomato and fresh slices of avocado. They also have a tasty variety of salsa, grilled onions, jalapeños, aquas, and drinks. At torta and horchata will run you about $12, tacos are $3 ea. This is a popup, corner taco stand so there is a couple of seats and a small table. I love to order and just eat on the trunk of my car. Some of the most delicious tacos I've ever had in my entire life. Came here late at night on a recent visit and had at least two or three different Taco varieties and also had something new to me a mulata. Is that right next to the taco stand had a table and chair that is set up. The guys that helped me don't really speak English but they were friendly and helpful nonetheless. Great tacos and burritos for a surprisingly good price. Their burritos are bursting at the seem with meat, and as of this writing, only $10--or $8 on Wednesdays. These are truly monster burritos that you'd pay about $16 for anywhere else. Cooked fresh in front of you, plus I love that they put cheese on the tortilla and then melt that in on the grill before adding in all of the other stuff. After grilling the tortilla and adding the core (meat, rice, beans, grilled onions...all optional) they hand it to you so that you can then go and put in other stuff, before taking it back and rolling it tightly. Good tacos, just not necessarily as good as I had hoped based on the reviews. The portions are generous and you get plenty of meat. However I've had better at other places in Long Beach. The meat was good but not great, and the same for the salsas. They don't make their tortillas from scratch, which may or may not matter to some people. Probably the only street taco joint in LBC that grills the asada on charcoal. By far my favorite place to pick up a burrito or some tacos. they are very generous with the meat, I usually ask for xtra asada on my burrito for an xtra $1. love they have the grilled onions and nopales. read more

5 stars. This is my go-to for my Tuesday Tacos and burritos. I've been here a million times because it's right in front of the ballet studio En Pointe Dance and Fitness I have taken a million ballet classes from. The al pastor is off the charts and their $1 taco Tuesdays are to die for. They have the 3 chopped salsas, 3 types of liquid salsas, and they have these grilled onions and grilled cactus as condiments at times. The beauty of this place is that it sometimes has a little seating area, so you can eat it right there when it's not too cold. When you come on Tuesdays for their dollar tacos, the wait is horrendous, but come later in the night as the crowd generally dies down. The best part about their burritos is that it's super reasonable, $8 without cheese and $10 with; also they let you fill up the burrito with as much chopped/liquid salsa and anything else before they wrap it up. I eat here so often, I'm surprised I don't speak Spanish already. Thank goodness learning the language isn't a prerequisite to stuffing all this food into my tummy. read more

CASH ONLY My hubby and I always get the carnitas burrito with grilled onions and ask for a grilled jalapeño as well after adding some spicy salsa. The service is A+!! Everyone is so sweet and friendly and as I'm writing this I'm literally feeling my mouth beginning to water!! They have el pastor as well! The carnitas though is simmering in a huge pot and then they take some out, break it apart (super tender) and grill it for a minute. Their tortillas are huge and usually ass cheese to throw on the grill and melt it. They have fresh acqua frescas, salsas, sliced radish and cucumbers. We've tried many places like this and Tacos Uziel is the BEST POP UP place we've found and we crave going at least once a week. There may be a line so be ready, but it moves fast!! We have tried A LOT of the taco stands in Long Beach and downtown LA. These are hands down the best tacos we've tried. They're so good, they made us switch from our regular taco stand that we used to go to once a week. Now we only go here. The meat is soooo flavorful. The salsas are all really great too. The red has a sleeper heat that builds over time. And they have great toppings as well. They do always have a line but they're fast! And they're always friendly. Although this my first taco in LA, this place blew my former favorite (Taco El Jalascience, Chicago) out of the water. It tasted super authentic and it was actually light on the wallet. Whatever the beef and cheese between two tortillas toasted on the grill is, I loved it. And the Al pastor tacos were to die for! I loved how you can add your own stuff and get sauces. My only negative are the small cheap napkin's. This place is messy, therefore those cheap diner napkins don't work really well. read more

Street taco stands are popping up faster than pimples on teenagers, but this stand consistently has a crowd gathering around it. The physical testament of customers can't be wrong. The service was efficient, with a wide selection of meats (including lengua, cabeza, and vegetarian). There were also grilled jalapeno peppers with onion that went really well with the tacos. You fill your own toppings to go and the salsas have serious burn. Parking was easy at the empty mechanic's lot at night or in the adjacent lot for the shopping center. This is a popular tacos stand in the area. It is located on Termino Ave and 7th street. This tacos stand is popular, and there could be a line at times. Services was fast. We ordered a cabeza mulitas, carne asada tacos, and el pastor tacos. All the meat were well prepared. They were fresh, juicy, and tender. There were 3 dressings, and I like the avocado dressing the most because it is not spicy. There were 2 drink options, and I chose the watermelon juice. I love tacos and I've driven by this taco spot many times. I finally decided to try it on a non Tuesday. Tuesdays the line is waaayyy too long. I had asada, chicken, chorizo, and al pastor tacos. They were all sooo good. I think my favorite were the carnitas. Everything tastes fresh. We also had a agua de pepino and jamaica agua. I prefer the pepino but that's just me. Definitely the best street tacos in Long Beach! I can see why there is always a long line, but it seems to move fast. It really feels like being in a taqueria back in TJ.
