Tacos Don Chente is Bomb! I like the Huaraches de Asada, the Tacos are tasty and the meat is always fresh and they have an amazing Salsa Bar. This is a great place if you are looking for Mexican Desserts, they have "Bionicos" (mixed fruits), Aguas Frescas (Fresh fruit water), Ice Cream, and sometimes Mexican Candy... oh yeah and BEER!!!! The menu is visually friendly - you can see the different items they have and know that if its not on the menue, you can ask and they can make it. Pretty authentic Mexican food but it's way too expensive for the quality. Not a fan of their pozole- they don't leave out the top grease or bone. I love that it's owned by people from my mom's town in Mexico, but I know they can cook better than that. read more

Love this place. I've been here several times since the new owners took over and it never has disappointed. The food is delicious and add a Michelada to that, bang... perfect. I've had the tacos, chili Verde, steak, appetizers and the traditional bacon and eggs breakfast is the best (my favorite). All of it is simply delicious. I totally recommend this restaurant. Awful! Their tables smell like they were wiped down with a dirty rag. I ordered a tostada de camaron & it barely had any shrimp. Absolutely not worth the price! I have been to this place a couple of times the food is good. I have tried the torta cubana which was huge. It was ok. I have also tried the gordita and the flautas which I thought were much better than the torta. They have a huge menu so I will have to try some of the other items in the future. read more

This place is all show with the Mexican theme. This place for sure only has a few good things on the menu. Just keep in mind only certain stuff will be good. It seems like the place doesn't push forward for food quality. It is really pricey for the quantity and quality of food you get. Horchata is pricey. They do have a huge menu, even though i usually order the same thing, i always gawk at the menu cuz dam everything looks so good, the taco meat is sooo good and they are very nice and friendly and the place is always clean. Came in this place looking for some authentic Mexican food, but it was not the case. They serve your food in paper plates and give you plastics utensils. The customer service is below average, I had to introduce myself so that I can be acknowledge. I ordered a sope which was ok, they are stingy with the queso fresco. I ordered a carne asada burrito to go. When I got home to eat the burrito, it had lots of beans and rice which tasted nasty and I could barely see any meat. In fact the four visable pieces were of nothing but nerves. It was so gross I refuse to eat it or feed it to my dog. I called to complain and they said that it is the meat portion served. I should of just gone to Zavalas or bought beans and rice and Northgate which are tasty and not over priced and nasty like the "asada" burrito. This location diffidently is not the place to call to cater your next office lunch. I placed an order for an staff meeting and ordered food for about 60 hungry staff members a day in advanced. When I called I was informed that this location did not offer delivery. Fine, not a deal breaker. However, when I showed up the next day to pick up the lunch for my staff I was informed that my order was not made because I never placed a deposit. This was the first time that I heard of this as the person who I placed the order with never told me about a deposit fee. So now I had no food for my staff. They did try to make up for not making the order and I was able to get some dishes. I paid for the dishes and was expecting to get what I ordered. However, when I arrived back at the office 30 minutes into the lunch hour I found out that the dishes were not complete. I ordered several family packs of the enchiladas that were supposed to come with rice and beans, but there were no rice and beans. The enchiladas looked like cheese tacos with little sauce; not appetizing at all. For $300 that I spent on this lunch I was severely disappointed. I have ordered catering from Tacos Don Chente in Huntington Park and their service and food is 100 times better then this location in Paramount. I was informed by the person working on my order that despite this being a chain; each location is independently owned. That was good advice, as it looks like Huntington Park has their location in order, as opposed to this location. My staff was disappointed with the lunch, which they only had 30 minutes to eat. They and I were expecting the same quality of food as we had had in Huntington Park and were left with a poor example of Mexican food. If you are looking for catering, do yourself a favor and look somewhere else when in Paramount. This is not the place. read more
