Stopped in with my family for Sunday breakfast. The place was already busy, but we were seated right away. The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a pleasing atmosphere. My husband and I both ordered the Nut-Bad Irish coffee. For food, he got the short rib enchiladas, I ordered the Barbacoa Benedict, and our son had the chicken tenders. The bite of his enchiladas I tried was good. The meat was tender and the sauce had good flavor. Unfortunately, my dish... had a long white wavy hair hanging over a side of the plate, when I pulled it, more of it was underneath the potatoes, which completely killed my appetite for the rest of the dish. I shouldn't be, but I get embarrassed to say anything, so I left that section of my potatoes aside. The benedict itself was okay, though the barbacoa was not dry, and the sauce gave it a good balance. The Nut-Bad Irish coffee was just alright. I found the nutmeg flavor way too overpowering with every sip, but my husband seemed to enjoy it more than I did.

Came here with a group of my gfs for my bday! Arrived right before 3pm for R&B brunch which was a blast. Great music, good vibes. They don't really want you up and dancing which is understandable but we managed. lol Good was a solid 7/10, they don't really offer brunch style food after 3 which is a bummer bc I really wanted to try their French toast and chilaquiles. Short rib pasta was mid 6/10 and burger was an average burger. I don't really come to places like this expecting the food to be 10/10 and I'm curious to know if the breakfast and brunch style food is better than the lunch/dinner options. Their unlimited mimosas are great but are time capped at 90 mins however our server made sure our bottle stayed full. Overall experience was an 8/10. Decent food, great vibes.

This place was really big and spacious, and I loved the overall vibe as soon as we walked in. When we were seated at our booth, the table was a little sticky, but we asked for a wipe down and they handled it right away with no issue. The menu was a bit intimidating at first (so many good options ), but I ended up going with the short rib enchiladas and they were pretty freaking good. Not a crumb left. My boyfriend got the short rib chilaquiles and he enjoyed his just as much. We also ordered the Flying Unicorn, which was super fun... it actually changes colors when you add the lemonade shot, so that was a cute little moment. It's definitely a great brunch spot, but the only downside was the wait for the check. We were completely done -- empty plates, just sitting there and still waiting for a while before it came. Aside from that, the experience was really good and I'd come back again!

I really enjoyed our brunch here. Reservations are a must and your party must be complete before they seat you. It can easily be located since its outside the mall. Parking is not an issue; you may have to walk a bit for its a busy mall. Food was good, menu was pretty much like your regular brunch spot. I had eggs benedict & it was perfect. I had their fried hash browns instead --- reminded me of piknik. it was really tasty. Convos were really intetesting & we were not asked to leave due to time which was really nice. It's not a big place and it can seat plenty. Good place to go for a weekend brunch.

It was good, waiter was kind checked up on us. Food was delicious. Place was beautiful cleaned. The only thing I didn't like is that they don't accept tap.

I've been here several times with the girls for brunch, but this visit was for their Saturday R&B brunch with a DJ--and wow, it was packed! We arrived right at 3pm and were told there was a 1-1.5 hour wait, but we were seated sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. The décor is upscale with darker tones, and there's seating inside and on the patio. You can hear the music throughout the restaurant, which really sets the vibe. Our server was great even with the high volume of guests. The food was good (I still prefer their breakfast menu), but the real star for me was the drinks--yesss, they were delicious! I would definitely come back, but next time I'll come early to be sure we get seated. There was a 90-minute time limit posted, but we weren't rushed at all. If you want good music, sing-along fun, and excellent drinks, Saturday brunch here is a great time with friends.

A really good brunch spot ; would definitely come again . The place is really pretty and the decor gives girly brunch. I'll have to bring my friends on day. There was just a little hiccup with the waitlist they weren't going by the waitlist I signed up on and letting other people go . But they informed me at a somewhat reasonable time and said to just tell them my name next time so I can be seated. Could've avoided the 30 minute wait but all good. The food definitely makes up for it . I got chicken and waffles which was so flavor and cooked perfectly. And the entree came with a warm maple bourbon syrup soooo good. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and it was soooo hearty. I believe it had sausage and bacon inside ; everything was mixed well and the avocado salsa on the side as a nice kick . Our drinks were strong sweet and good .

Wow! From the food to the decor and ambience. We came for breakfast pretty early in the AM, around 9ish so it wasn't too busy yet. We ordered the simple breakfast, chilaquiles, and French toast. Everything was so good and service was 5/5. It's so cute inside and they have a patio for nice days. Music was good as well. I can definitely see it getting busy. Absolutely recommend if you're in the area!

First time visiting Toast & we loved it! Came on a Tuesday morning at 10am & we're leaving around 12:45 after getting lit off bottomless mimosas lol, our server David was great!! He checked in on us, answered all questions, and helped us celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant was clean and they had good music playing. I will definitely be back for the Sunday R&B Brunch.

I came for the music and loved the appetizers. I honestly came all the way from Riverside to try the R&B brunch it was a birthday request of mine. We had a reservation for 3 and it was a piece of cake. We did not have to wait. The moment we stepped inside the restaurant though Toast felt a touch chaotic, like a party of people who forgot their playlists! A lot of big groups were waiting, and I wondered if they didn't have reservations. Either way the energy was buzzing. But then the appetizers hit the table and oh my, they were fire. The artichoke dip had a sly hint of jalapeño spice that kept things exciting and delicious, and the Goat Cheese Tomato Crostini was a hit the bread was cheesy and the sauce paired perfectly with the cheese we had to order more bread. I'll be dreaming of this deliciousness for a long time. I ordered "under pressure" and went for the fried chicken sandwich it's so big you could share I only ate half. The ambiance is fun especially after sharing a flight of Mimosas!!! The room feels like a party where everyone's celebrating to the same R&B playlist I adore. The music sets the mood and the servers keep the beat going. My only con would be to skip desert our cake tasted like old store bought cake not worth the price and no one had more than 1 bite. But its ok I'll be back for some more R&B brunch!

The Yelp review nobody asked for... but you're getting anyway I've heard about this spot a few times and seen it floating around on IG and TikTok, so when I found out they do a reverse brunch -bottomless mimosas starting at 3PM with a DJ, I was already intrigued. Day party energy? Say less. My coworker and I popped in on a random Saturday. She put us on the virtual waitlist, and we were seated pretty quickly -- love that for us. We sat outside on the patio and the vibe was actually really nice. Good music, good energy! Now... the food. I ordered the classic pancakes with fruit and house potatoes (jalapeños & cheese), and my coworker got the avocado toast with hash brown chips (also with cheese and jalapeños -- clearly we had a theme going). The potatoes? Solid. No complaints there. But the pancakes... came out with no syrup. None. Not a drizzle, I was confused. Do I ask?? By the time our server circled back (which took a minute), I was already over it. The fruit also wasn't fresh, so both the pancakes and fruit ended up being a no for me. My coworker's meal? Let's just say... it was edible. Not exciting, not terrible -- just there. Now let's talk about what they got RIGHT: the drinks. I had a lemon drop with tequila (yes, tequila ) and a couple shots, and they did not disappoint. Strong, cute, and exactly what I needed to shift the experience. Also, shoutout to the manager -- he was actively checking on tables and ended up removing the items we didn't eat, which I really appreciated. That level of attentiveness goes a long way. Final thoughts: I wouldn't come back for the food, but for the drinks, music, and vibes? Absolutely. Just eat beforehand and come ready to sip and socialize. P.S. Plenty of parking (a blessing) and there's a strict 90-minute dining limit -- so pace yourself accordingly

This place instantly became one of my favorites after just one visit. From the moment you walk in, the whole vibe hits you--the moody, neon-lit ambiance sets the tone perfectly. It feels elevated, a little edgy, and honestly just the kind of spot you want to spend your night at. The music is curated so well. Not too loud, not too mellow--just the right balance where you can vibe, have a conversation, and still feel the energy of the room. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. The place comfy, the ambience is dark and bar-like, the drink vibes look chill, I have no complaints about the service. The service was good and the staff was nice. All this makes the steak disappointment that much worse for me. We ordered Ribeye and Shrimp Salmon Lobster Mac and Cheese Asparagus Lobster Roll (Sushi) A drink from the bar The Steak.. The steak came served on a cast-iron skillet. I ordered it medium-well. It arrived a little more medium than usual, but that was not an issue. What disappointed me was the puddle the steak was sitting in. Traditionally said puddle is a mixture of butter, thyme, and whatever seasonings you used on the steak when cooking it. In this case, that puddle was flavorless. It really tasted like the steak was just sitting in a flavorless oil. The steak was very bland, very difficult to think someone could send out a piece of meat out like that, especially when you find out what it costs. It was not worth it and not worth the final tab unfortunately. Really wanted to find a steak W for Downey but I don't see myself being interested in this place again.

But quick understanding the term suffices. As I entered Mandala Cantina, I knew that I had stepped inside a vibe of Latin frenzy and buck--- it was replete with a sophisticated backyard boggie energy. Or in other words, the carne asada barbecue had adopted an elegant, glamorous and modern Talum motif that hit with bright mellow lights, beige beauty all around and a good time fueled by tequila shots and cocktails. I was sat at the bar, but I was warned that my sit would be bellow the regular bar line. So I sat alone, and I could look up at everyone else sat from by de-elevated sit. I was ok, I had arrived late, I was by myself with no reservation and on a whim, so I took my corner seat and did my best to forget that I sat below everyone's eye level. The party vibe was strong and palpable all across the bar. In fact, I have been to very few bars where the move was to sit, yet, the music and crowd almost demanded that we acted like we were on a club, but sitting down. More clearly, I wanted to move and dance but since there was no space, and we were playing Mexican bingo, we were implicitly required to sit and dance. For those who did not, the party still pulsed. There was this huge Cantaro (Mexican clay cup or vase) with six straws. So like a fishbowl drink that is commong in Tiki or Island theme bars, but in a large Mexican mug. This guy was moving it around while he was filmed in a way where he showed the drink for six like Mufasa showed Simba to the residents of Pride rock. So I am basically saying that all the people in the bar and crowd found a way to honor the old school hits of Reggaton and Banda that dominated the airwaves of the spot. I could not help but beat my head back and forth when Oye Mi Canto played and the lasers of the spot moved around wildly. In short, it was an experience that can be described as lit. The experience of game play was also electric. As soon as you entered, you were asked to pick a card from a large stack. You were also required to get some frijolitos-- small beans, that did not jump. I put all my beans into my card and removed them as my cards were called. I came close to winning, and maybe I did, but it was hard to focus amidst the noise and bop, so maybe I did win and did not register that one of my cards had been called so its frijolito remain on top of that square. Regardless, of the lack of victory I expeirenced I was still very happen I went here to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with appropriate festivities. After I soon sat, some tacos were placed in front of me. They were for my neigbor. I was honest and made them aware that they were not for me. After all a Mexico Hero-- Benito Juariez reminds us that respeto a lo ajeno es la paz. I've tried multiple times to call and speak to a manager about what happened, but after receiving no response, here I am leaving a Yelp review. This wasn't my first time at Mandala, but it will very likely be my last. I made my reservation the same day Mexico won and reservations opened. I reserved a table for 8 people at 3:45 PM, which was the maximum party size available. I arrived around my reservation time, definitely before 4:00 PM, and security directed me to wait in the line designated for guests with reservations. By around 4:30 PM, the reservation line had barely moved, yet I watched other people walk up, give their names, and be let inside. At the same time, I could clearly see two reserved tables for eight sitting completely empty.I finally asked one of the waitresses, "I reserved for 8 people, and I see those two tables are empty. May I ask what the hold up is?" She asked for my name, looked up my reservation, confirmed it was there, and then told me, "It was canceled." I asked, "What was the reason? I've been here." She replied, "You never checked in before 4:00 PM." Which in fact I did, and security even confirmed that I had arrived before 4:00 PM. Despite that, no one was willing to honor my reservation. At that point I told her, "Only three people from my party of eight are here. Can we just get a table for the three of us?" She spoke with another waitress, and they came back saying it would be standing room only. I asked, "Why?" Again, they referred me back to my supposedly canceled reservation. By now I was beyond frustrated. While they spent another five minutes trying to "figure something out," I continued watching people walk up, give their names, and immediately be seated. Meanwhile, the two reserved tables for eight were still sitting empty. Then I was told, "The best we can do is standing room at the bar, or you can stand anywhere in the restaurant with one of the cocktail tables, but there's a $100 minimum per person." That requirement was never advertised or mentioned when I made my reservation. I reminded her, "This isn't my first time here." She simply replied, "Or you can stand at the bar. No minimum." At that point, it was so close to game time that I just wanted to get inside. We were never greeted--menus were simply placed in front of us. And throughout all of this, those two reserved tables for eight remained empty. The biggest lie I heard all afternoon was, "We're at capacity." I must have heard that at least 10 times. If Mandala was truly at capacity, how were people continuously walking in without reservations and being seated? Why were guests with confirmed reservations turned away while empty reserved tables sat untouched? Thankfully, the game was delayed until 6:00 PM, which gave us enough time to leave and take our business elsewhere. This was poor planning, poor communication, misleading reservation practices, and some of the worst customer service I've experienced. I wasted my time, my gas, and what should have been an exciting afternoon watching the Mexico game with family and friends. I expected much better from a place I'd enjoyed before. Instead, I left feeling ignored, frustrated, and completely disappointed. I rest my case.

The bar welcomes everyone - from old to young, from gay to straight, and a rainbow of diversity of ethnic backgrounds! This has to be my favorite bar in Southern California! Bravo Amanda & team!

Amazing drinks & super knowledgeable staff!…read more -Ambiance Cocktail bar is upstairs with different seating options including couches & comfy chairs. At 9pm the lower floor becomes a night club which we did not experience. -Drinks Sooooo good! Very well balanced & unique. Leaving us wanting more as soon as we finished a drink. Each one having a different elegant visual presentation. The owner/head bartender even came to our table to check in & get our opinion about our drinks. Even letting us know that there were new drinks being added to the menu soon! It's so cool to watch the creation of drinks on her Instagram @bad_birdy -Service Awesome service! Attentive & extremely knowledgeable about each drink. Taking the time to explain what made each of them special. Making the ordering process super easy. We went with a couple friends & they made it very easy to split the check by item which they did quickly on a hand held touch screen card reader. -Food Food is provided from local partners near by. My wife & I ordered Mexican food & both agreed it was only so so. We ordered the empanadas, queso fundito, chicken street taco & asada street taco. With the most bummer part of the meal being the queso. Despite it being served on a cast iron skillet the cheese combo they used ended up becoming hard & difficult to finish. It came with soft little tortillas instead of chips which we weren't expecting. Almost like making them into mini hard cheese quesadillas. The food wasn't a total loss though because there is another partner with a different menu that we are willing to try. Overall we will definitely be back for the drinks & other food options.
