Tried The Loaded Cafe in Bellflower today, and I was not disappointed! Parking: There's a decent-sized lot, but this place gets busy on weekends, so I'd suggest going early. Service/Ambience: Rachel was our server, and she was so attentive. It was nice to see that other customers seemed to know and like her too. The restaurant wasn't loud, which made it a great place to sit and enjoy our meal. Food: I ordered the Cheesecake Strawberry Waffles, and they were really good. I didn't even need syrup! Last Saturday between 10:50 and 11:00 AM, I witnessed a serious food‑safety issue at Loaded Café. While waiting in line, I could see directly into the kitchen area because I'm 6'3" and can see over the window partition. I saw a server drop a piece of bacon on the floor, pick it up, and still take it to a customer's table. The same server later seated me, so I asked for her name since she wasn't wearing a badge. She said her name was Emily. After I told my wife what I saw, she immediately wanted to leave -- and I agreed. This is unacceptable. Management needs to review the cameras for that time window and address this issue as fast as possible. Food dropped on the floor should NEVER be served to anyone. read more

Upon entering Loaded Cafe, I knew we were in for a treat, it was packed!! The waitresses were as sweet as the conchas they served us as appetizers. Since it was our first time, we tried a variety of different menu items. We ordered fries with a side of ranch for a starter and they were so crispy and flavorful, the ranch was that good ranch too. The bean and cheese burrito was average but the crispy cheese on the outer tortilla was new. The French toast was heavenly, cooked to perfection. The breakfast sandwich was also pretty good. This is a good place id you're doing errands and are looking for a quick place to grab a meal. We were seated fairly quickly. Our server was really attentive and checked in frequently at first but was less attentive during the meal itself (e.g. no water or coffee refills). The food is okay- what youd expect from a diner. The meal started off with some warm and fresh conchas, which set the the tone for a meal. But the meal itself tasted like it was made from pre-made or canned sauces, so it was a little disappointing because of the tone that was set with the complimentary conchas. read more

The food was delicious! These dishes are an elevated version of IHOP. The crêpes without making it a combo was more than filling. Price was reasonable for our meal.Reason for three star rating was due to cleanliness. Restrooms were literally filled with cobwebs from the ceiling to the stalls. I had been hearing the hype about Loaded Cafe for a while so I decided to check the restaurant out for myself. I arrived there for breakfast and it was not packed at all, so my party and I were seated right away. Entering the restaurant, it plays heavily into the diner vibes and resembles heavy to a Denny's or an IHop. As we were seated we were asked if it was out first time (it was) and our waiter was kind to go over the menu and house favorites. He then proceeded to bring out complimentary mini conchitas. I believe they bring one per person, however, I am sure you could ask for more if you let your waiter know. I ordered the Horchata Iced Latte on the recommendation of the waiter, the Waffle Combo, and the Machaca Breakfast Burrito. The Latte was good, although it did not have a strong horchata taste. It tasted more like a regular or vanilla latte, however still very yummy. The breakfast burrito was quite filling and they did not skimp out on the protein in it. I do wish that the tortilla was a little more toasted/grilled so it could have provided another level of texture. We were looking for a late breakfast spot being in the area and Yelp led us to Loaded Cafe. We Ordered the Chicken Guacamole Stacker with an Orange Juice and the Sirloin Steak and Eggs with the Watermelon Chamoyada Smoothie. Service was competent gracious and kind. We were checked in and had a short wait that was well worth it. We were seated and treated to 2 warm soft Cinnamon Conchas that indicated we were surely going to have a great dinning experience, (loved that touch). A nice sized crowd of patrons left the ambiance abuzz with good vibes and apparently tasty meals. Our hostess (Rachel) was the best and ensured we were well taken care of. The Chicken Guacamole Stacker was simply delicious. Full of flavor with perfect preparations. The Sirloin was another that was delicious with plenty of flavor and tender bite. We were more than satisfied with our dinning experience and have already logged this Loaded Cafe down as one to repeat patronage in the near future. I returned on a busy Sunday afternoon, this time bringing my wife, who had never been before. As soon as we entered, I noticed the place was packed, which is always a good sign in my book. The service was much better this time, and we only waited about 20 minutes to be seated. To my surprise, my server was Mr. Malaquin again, and I knew I was in for excellent service. He brought us our complimentary pan dulces and drinks while we placed our order. I chose the Guacamole Toast with Eggs again, and my wife ordered the Asada Chilaquiles plate. I was excited to try their chilaquiles since it's one to their top menu items. I was quite disappointed since my dish was over $20+ and the carne asada was such a small amount. It did not enhance the dish at all. I did get the two sauces, red and green but neither of the sauce truly stood out to me also. It was all "ok". Nothing wow for us. I did appreciate the concha that's free and I did see the other tables have some amazing looking shakes/coffee drinks... but would I come back for those? Hmmmm maybe? I don't know. I have brought multiple friends here since it's my fav breakfast spot & they have not been disappointed. My favorite thing to get is the banana strawberry Nutella crepes with a side of hash, eggs and bacon. It can get a bit crowded, especially on the weekend! The longest I had to wait one time was probably 30+ minutes but it's honestly worth it! I also like their French toast but the crepes have my heart! Sometimes they provide complimentary concha's.
